Don't get me wrong, I love Red Lobster, however i believe the food has gone a little downhill. I normally go for dinner and get the ultimate feast which it usually awesome, but I've noticed they give you a very small side of snow crab legs, the the potato seems to have shrunk. On the last visit I got the clam chowder soup & salad combo and was pretty disappointed. The salad used to be bigger, I got a small little side salad with that not that good of quality lettuce & a cup of soup. Not much bang for the buck. The wait staff were good as well as our meal. Except it took 10 minutes to have booth cleared so my family could sit when they joined us. The manager however was less than appeasing and should be demoted in my opinion. I called hours before myself and twenty seven other relatives showed up so that the resturant was aware of our arrival they took my name said no problem we will have you taken care of. We arrived and had to sit in ten separate booths because they sat other party's in the single table section. The service there is simply horrible. They bring my coconut shrimp appetizer to us cold. I still had 2 shrimp left and no dip it sauce, and wanted one refill on my beer. 20 minutes and no waiters, waitresses, or management to be found. This place simply sucks. Kitchen crashed very hard. We waited 45 minutes to an hour to be seated which can be average. We received our salad and rolls in a timely fashion but were later told a big party was placed in front of us and we'll have to wait for our entrees. We had to wait unnecessarily long for a simple Coffee and baileys drink. Upon finally getting our entrees it was all cold. When asked to take back and/or reheat or remake plate, the rest of the table was finished eating the remake took at least 20 minutes. Upon bringing the remake, all the food was still cold. Instead of being apologetic the GM was very rude and grabbed the baked potato directly off the plate. Timing VERY terrible, 110% not on the waitress but kitchen terrible and General manager not sympathetic or apologetic at all. Won't be visiting this location again. read more

amazing service!! we came here on a saturday night, about an hour before closing time. our server bryan was the best server we have had in a VERY long time! he was attentive, and showed that he cared about us as guests. he made sure to check in on us and made sure everything was great, the minute we ran out of something he was on top of it. he also made sure my boyfriend cut into his steak to make sure it was cooked the way he wanted. he even made it a point to take the steak back to the kitchen when he noticed it wasn't cooked as instructed. most servers would turn their nose up at the thought of a customer saying their order isn't correct, but he insisted on taking the steak back. that is awesome service, and because of that we will definitely make this our go-to spot when we want red lobster! not to mention; the Caesar salads and biscuits were so fresh! sometimes you can't get a good meal when restaurants are getting ready to close for the day. and if you decide to order an appetizer, go with the lobster artichoke dip, you won't be sorry. read more

We were kindly greeted as we walked in and had to wait less than 5 mins to get seated. All though it was busy and all, we were understanding about the waiting after being seated. Let's start by saying best service I've had at any red lobster. My waitress (Geri) made my night with her wonderful attitude and perfect service. The food was great as always. Bread baskets came out just after the recent one finished, drinks wouldn't reach to empty before they got refilled, and waitress was so thankful for everything. I have been married 35 years and the Red Lobster in Westland is where my husband and I often went while dating so we wanted to go back to where we dated. NOPE....wouldn't take a reservation! This is a restaurant in name only! Ordered my meal online and received a time to pick it up 27 minutes later. Upon arrival I was greeted and told carry out are by the bar. I was greeted again, they pulled up my order and I paid. I was then told it would be a couple of minutes. 15 minutes later I was told just a couple more minutes! This process took a total of 45 minutes after I arrived! I got home only about 2 miles away and the food was cold and extremely salty! That was strike three! I will never go back and I would advise everyone to stay away! I should have requested my money back after 15 minutes and went to Long John Silvers! On Wednesday January 9 2019 I wanted to treat my grandson who is going back to TSU for his final semester before graduating in May. He loves Red Lobster as do I. I got a couple of gift certificates for Christmas so I decided to take my grandson out for the daily special they had going on if you arrive before 6pm We got there at 4:45pm. We were seated right away and that was very strange any who,,I ordered the Salmon dish and my grandson ordered the Stead, each supposedly $15.00. As it turned out the salmon was an additional $1.99 but the kicker was THEY DID NOT HAVE ANY SALMON, I'm like what the hell, and the salad they brought to me the lettuce was hanging off the plate. Needless to say disappointed we left and went to the other Red Lobster in the area on Plymouth in Livonia. Bad choice we were seated right away AGAIN, waited 20 minutes for the server to bring us water/beverages, I was beyond pissed by now and was about to leave when he finally came to our table. So okay we stayed and he took another 15 minutes to take the beverage order and bring the water. He then asked if we were ready to order we replied yes so we proceeded to order the special which was the Salmon and the Steak for grandson and the server had the nerve to tell us it was too late for the special it was 6:40pm, I was lived told him to get his manager he did and the manager we to the table behind us and started asking those guest if everything was ok, I was ear hustling and I knew he had the wrong table (lol), after about 10 minutes I guess the server corrected him and directed him to our table, he said he was going to make everything right(I told him about the situation at the Westland restaurant)...I am out of time but not words... Needless to say I am through with Red Lobster. read more

Our service at this location was fast, food was delicious and served quickly. Waitress although I do not remember her name was about 7 months pregnant. She was friendly, polite and kind . excellent restaurant very busy which is testament to food and service. Poor food and service one too many times. Will never subject myself to this again. Last straw was store manager not putting together my carry-out order properly. When I called to let them know about the problem my call was shuffled through 4 people. After messing up a $150.00 order they offered me a $25.00 gift card. Only bad red lobster I've been to. Crab legs were way over cooked and crusty. Couldn't eat them.

We used to come here quite a bit, hadn't been in a few years, and boy, were we disappointed. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful, and that was the only good thing about the entire night. We waited half an hour longer than promised (making about an hour and a half total). Seated on the bench farthest from the door in the lobby, we could still very clearly smell the cigarette smoke from outside every time the door opened. It ruined any appetite we had, gave me a headache, and eventually we went to wait outside in the car to escape the smoke. The food took a long time to arrive, which actually wasn't bad since it gave us a chance to regain our appetites. I will say, the appetizer and biscuits were as good as usual. But the entrees weren't very hot, the shrimp was overcooked, the lobster tail wasn't split right (so that I had to pick little shell shards out of every bite), and the crab legs had the least meat I have EVER seen in crab legs--including the kind from cheap, nasty, all-you-can-eat buffets. Just as we were nearing the end of the meal, I had to dash to the bathroom for some explosive diarrhea. I was ready to write that one off, until I read other online reviews of Red Lobster and every fifth one seemed to be about someone getting sick from eating their food. Looks like we'll be sticking to the Outback for mid-price dining experiences from now on. Definitely not ever coming back to a Red Lobster. read more

We tried visiting this location for the Endless Shrimp special going on last Sunday. There was only about a 10 minute wait before we were seated in the back. Once we were seated, we started looking over the menu and realized after about ten minutes that no one had been over to take our drink order. Still, we waited and watched the staff wait on all of the surrounding tables. It wasn't too busy, about 2/3 of the tables had guests. After about ten more minutes, and seeing other patrons get seated while waitstaff rushed over to them to take their drink orders, we got up since we had yet to be approached. Before leaving, I asked the hostess to please let me speak with the manager. It took another good ten minutes for the manager to come up front. I told her that I just wanted to make her aware of what had occurred. While she was apologetic, little was offered to remediate he situation. We were offered to be seated in a different section. Needless to say, we went to a different restaurant. I won't be returning to this location. read more

Me and my wife has been working off shift and its really hard for us to get the same day off and once in a while we go get a dinner out together like a little date. We decided to go to this restaurant because she likes seafood. I am on the other hand is a meat guy. So we decided to compromise. I can have a steak and lobster (surf and turf) and she would have a seafood meal. I know something was different from the start is that I like a table always and I always requested a table. But the host give us a half booth half table. Then we said OK. Then we proceeded with our choices and planed out what we are going to have. She ordered hers and I ordered Mine. Surf and Turf, and the waitress said if I would like to change the steak, so I did. I always have my steak Med Rare, I don't like it any other way because it takes the fun out of eating and my jaw hurts from chewing too much, I also ordered calamari for appetizer. Back to the beginning part. This is one of our outings which is rare like once a month. We were seated next to a group of 10 may be more and was so loud that I could not even hear what the waitress was saying, yet the back ground music. I could not even talk to my wife that night that she went to sleep at the bench. while we were waiting for our food. So we started eating the complementary bread cause our ordered was somewhat delayed. Then it started coming after we got the third refill of the complementary bread. We received our soups and then she got her pasta, I was informed then that the cook forgot to cook my order because of some mishap, then when it arrived it was not cook right. I ordered Medium Rare, it came Medium Well. cook all the way to the middle. The waitress and the manager came and stated that they will try to cook another one, waited for another 20 minutes and it came back the same. I also mention to my wife that the lobster was over cook because it was too robbery not soft. I have to cut it with a knife to break it out of the shell. So when they brought the steak back I decided that that it was OK. and not to try another one. I also mentioned to the manager that by the way I also ordered a calamari that never arrived. He ask me if I would like it and I said that alright. The whole night just full of mishap that the manager said it best. This is not how they usually do this. I totally agree with him. I understand that I should not look for and expect a steak in a seafood place but if you can't dish it out why offer it. I give the waitress a tip because its not her fault and she did feel bad. The manager and the waitress really tried to help recover the night, but it was all done which was good effort on their part. I took my wife for a desert at another restaurant since they were kind enough not to let us pay our bill. Thank you for that. Key factor for me is that a restaurant is clean. Observed other tables being sanitized when cleared. Menus were also spotless, this is an area most restaurants overlook. Food was very good and all the employees treated us as valued customers. read more

Just at dinner here today. When we first arrived we were seated with only a few minute wait with five of us, but the place had an awful smell, it smelt like musty water. It took few minutes, around 10, to first get a waitress to get drink orders. Are food came out pretty quickly, but with many mistakes. I ordered my meal with fries and no broccoli, nether of which happened. My chicken itself had a off taste and almost uneatable, although the noodles and Alfredo sauce was great. Don't plan on attending this location again, let alone any others. read more

Went to this restaurant a few times for lunch while visiting friends.....expected nothing more than a chain seafood experience in the midwest.....lunch time specials were decently prepared and the house wine was drinkable......once however, I asked to have a switch from the broccoli offered with a dish to the corn on the cob that was on the menu......was told that that would be a five dollar extra charge for a half ear.......mentioned to my server that that seemed at least a little unreasonable......and then forgot about it.......why I would never go to that restaurant again followed.....a slightly post pubescent "manager" came over and insincerely asked me if I had a question about the menu.....when I mentioned the issue, I was lectured that the problem was mine and had nothing to do with the restaurant.....dunno about you but a corporate culture that supports this type of dim witted behavior will not be one that I support....... read more
