This was for a To Go order, here's the good news and bad news. Their To Go online ordering is one of the easiest to use, especially including my rewards option. We don't live that far from the restaurant. The food was only luke warm. The shrimp in 2 meals was slightly overcooked. My grilled shrimp were tasteless. I've had this meal before and truly enjoyed it. My salad was warm, having been in the same bag with the soup; it was filled with more tomatos than lettuce. The crab/mushroom appetizer was good. Ordered the garlic linguine alfredo with crab, ate 2 bites and found a short black hair, I have long grey hair. I have a very weak stomach so my appetite completely went away. Called the waitress over and quietly told her about the hair, she then says oh its probably something from the grill that looks like that. Say what now? If your grill is growing hair there's something very very wrong. Also nothing in my plate is grilled and I also picked it up and inspected it, placed it on the rim and proceeded to dry heave. So she brought me a new Mel and I asked for a container cause there was no way I could eat anything else, by the way it was half the amount I got the first time around. My husband and I ordered 2 lobster dinners for takeout . $35.99 for 1 meal over $70. total. I wish now that I had taken a picture of what we received. They also got the order wrong and gave us only 1 meal so my husband had to wait for the other one. When we phoned in our order, they told us to call again on Valentine's Day to confirm our order yet they still got it wrong. No apology though. If you saw the TV ad with the 2 lobsters, nice sized and enticing, forget about it!!! Our lobsters were so tiny it was a joke. They were tough and a strange greyish color on the edges. One taste and into the garbage our Valentine's Day dinners went. What a disappointment. They should get a regular visit from Quality Control because this was disappointing and shameful. Walked in the building at 5:06 on 12/29/23 and honestly we were treated terribly not greeted the host and hostess were having a conversation and ignored us until we looked at them, the waitress we had was nice at first was very helpful helping me and my girlfriend understand the shrimp and crab your way, but her entire area was not served one ounce of food by her she had other people bus her food around her area, then would be near our table and would blatantly ignore us and would walk passed us, when we finished our food we asked for to go containers she took about a half hour came back with no containers and told we we could lay on the device on the table with our gift card we had that never worked but had a $25 on it, then she walked away again and would be helping other tables that were next to us and we had money on the table waiting to pay and she looked at our table and would walk away again, she came back we handed her money and the gift card to see if it would work on her end didn't come back for like another 10-20 minutes would help others tables and ignore us when we handed her money as well, came back and said the card didn't work tried handing our money back like we weren't paying with it in the first place handed her $80 to pay for the bill and we didn't see her for almost an hour when she came back she gave me change and then asked if I wanted the receipt as well when we already asked for one we were at table 93 I'm sorry to say we will never come back very bad first experience read more

So, I get its a chain. We try to choose local businesses instead, but we had a gift card so we ate at Red Lobster this weekend. I decided to review because of our experience. We did the call ahead seating, which is nice since they don't do reservations. Even though we were told it was a 45 minute wait, but were seated in 7-8 minutes. Nice job! We enjoyed our food. We enjoyed our drinks. We left with food to take home and we also left happy. I also have to say that our waitress was HANDS DOWN one of the best waitresses I have ever had. She was friendly and professional. She never let our glasses go empty, and she never let an empty dish sit in our way. She was helpful and not rushed at all, even though you could easily see the restaurant was packed and busy. She absolutely made us feel important and respected. I haven't dined at a Red Lobsters for over 5 years. Last two times at Scranton location their food was very salty. We all didn't enjoy the food. I took a chance since it was my birthday and I had a gift card. I must say our experience was the best ever. The waiter Erik was beyond welcoming and very attentive he went over the menu and made the best suggestion. We all enjoyed our meal. I had went to thank the Manger Mike and we had a small talk regarding the changes in the menu which I enjoyed it was a special that had coleslaw which we didn't like but they substitute for another side. He explained that's corporate recipe which we didn't' agree with the taste. I hope they change their recipe. We really like to eat coleslaw with fried fish. I feel if Red Lobster continues this menu less than $20.00 that includes an appetizer they sure will get more customers. I have spread the word with my family and friends to visit Wilkes Bare Red Lobsters and give it another try. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants to begin with. The corporate idea of food that should be the same at every single location scares me. But there's something about the Lob that made me sad. The second you walk in the door, into the waiting area, the first thing you see? A LOBSTER TANK. Your dinner sits there, sadly taunting you before you even get to sit down, look at a menu, and decide how you'd like to eat it. By the way, I had lobster pizza today. Lobster on top of pizza. I went here on my dinner break from work as it is Friday (no meat!) and I had forgotten to pack a meal. I ordered my meal, and it came out with a very obvious and large hair woven into the rice and fish. I called the waitress over and showed her, and then she brought the manager over who apologized once, took the plate away and told me they'd bring me another. I then had to wait for another meal to be cooked, which I ate hastily in order to return to work on time. Afterwards I asked for my check, fully expecting to be told that the meal was comped due to the large hair on my plate. Perhaps I am naive, or my standards are too high. Either way, the waitress began preparing my check. At this point I assumed that I would need to pay for my beverage, or perhaps the manager had only taken a percentage of the meal off. No. The check landed on my table as if my service had been flawless. Again, I wouldn't have been upset if I had only received a discount, or even if the manager had checked in again to make sure my second meal was okay. Anything more than a "whoops sorry, we will get you another one." Hairs in food at restaurants are utterly and completely unacceptable. People pay good money for well prepared food. Raise your standards and check your plates in the pass before you send a hair to your guests - and if you do make a mistake, apologize and don't force the guest to pay for your hair. read more

The customer did nothing wrong and continued to be polite regardless. Much of the experience when eating out is the atmosphere not just the food. So for that reason this place gets 1 star. How do you approach reviewing something like Red Lobster? If they served this stuff at the golden arches, we would be stark-raving-amazeballs. But a meal like this at Le Cirque would call for a congressional investigation. I'm just going to take things at face value. It was not a very good meal. I knew what to expect but we had a $25 gift certificate to burn through and it seemed like a good idea at the time. But even with the $25 discount (on our $50 check) Red Lobster just doesn't seem worth it. I had a $16 prix-fixe deal with a $9.99 lobster tail add-on. The shrimp skewers were OK but the wild rice they were served on was about as downright tasteless and bland as possible. The split lobster tail tasted OK but was probably seven ounces of meat. Starters were a Manhattan Clam Chowder straight out of Cambell's Soup and an iceberg lettuce Caesar salad. A micro-slice of cheesecake was probably the best of the bunch. The service was fine. The atmosphere was quite generic although the lighting was a bit too dark save for a harsh, overly-bright light focused straight down onto the middle of the table. Everyone goes on and on about the free Cheddar Bay Biscuits on the table but I just can't get too excited about something that tastes like Pillsbury Pop 'N Fresh rolls with a bit of cheese and Old Bay seasoning. read more

The scoop is I saw the specials on a TV commercial on Sunday and Monday was listed as "Endless Shrimp Monday" - Garlic Shrimp Scampi, Wood Grilled Shrimp Skewer, and hand breaded shrimp. Wow was each good! And the waitress, Kara, brought me all that I could eat. Great service. Ended up bringing my baked potato home along with the biscuits (wife made them disappear!). Hands down the WORST meal we have had in a long time! The "Ultimate Lobster Roll" had a tablespoon and a half of nasty supersalty mush masquerading as lobster. That was it. The rest of the bun was empty! The orange mac and cheese appeared to be Kraft from the box but, on first forkful, we agreed it was dollar store mac and cheese which was completely unpalatable.
