We were in the Springs for a quick weekend and a friend suggested we stop in for a martini on our way to a comedy show. We sat at the bar and were greeted by a very nice bartender named Celeste. She was awesome. I asked for an extra dirty vodka martini and she was out of olive juice so she sent her door man to go get some and within less than 5 minutes he rolls up with the biggest Costco sized jar of green olives. Now that is service. I had about a drink and a half (she made too much) and my husband and friend each had 2 drinks. We didn't know it was happy hour and when we got the bill we were shocked that it was so cheap. This place is a great deal in downtown CO Springs for some martinis. I highly recommend it. Went there to try the martinis and was very impressed at Rowan's ability to mix the "bestest" martinis in the Springs. Not only she is awesome at making drinks but definitely the sexiest mixologist downtown Colorado Springs. Decided to try also a mojito and was the best one I have in Colorado. This establishment used to be a refreshing break from the average on Tejon. Someplace your could go go to receive excellent service and excellent alchemy. Someplace you could listen to classics while enjoying classic libations. I might be from Kentucky, but I know a good bartender when I see him. Brendon was pretty freaking awesome. He made me a drink we both thought I would like, I didn't like it, and then he really hit the spot. A great personality in a bartender and how refreshing! Someone who will just be themselves. My wife and I stopped in during her birthday and were very disappointed. There was one other customer in the bar and the bar tender couldn't even give a simple "hello, welcome to the Red Martini" etc. nothing. After we looked over the drink options, which was a decent selection, then in a somber monotone voice the bar tender asked if we wanted to order. We did and all went well, but it was a very unwelcome feeling. A few other folks came in shortly after us and the treatment was the same for them. Really nice little place. Went here with some friends for Thursday Happy Hour half price martinis and appetizers (except for seafood) and was pleasantly surprised. The lamb medallions were fantastic! And the bartender was really nice. Definitely someplace I think I'll go again. read more

This use to be a hot spot for people visiting our city as well as the locals as it is a prime location downtown in the bar district on Tejon, menu has changed and is missing the favorites like (lemon Meringue, key lime, Guinness Martini), no happy hour prices, drinks were small and ran around $11.00 each, nothing special, and the most important part, it was so dirty inside and outside especially the what should be fabulous patio. I went to people watch outside and had to ask the bartender for a towel to clean the bench, she handed me a dry dirty bar towel........ she was too busy to come clean it herself as she was super busy with the one other customer she had. The Manager/boyfriend was there hanging out with the bartender, and didn't think to clean inside/outside or ask her to clean! However, half way into our time, they brought in a singer/guitar artist who had a great voice, but she cursed profusely when not playing. Visiting from California; upon arrival AJ was very welcoming. I had the Vespar Martini and my wife had the Caramel Appletini. Drinks were awesome. AJ is a magician with alcohol. Can you give zero stars? No? Well if I could I would. This place was awesome a couple of years ago when they had a different bartender. Now there is this guy who who gives crappy service, he's rude and just generally unpleasant to be around. I don't know his name, big guy with an untrimmed beard. In a place like this the bartender is everything and can make or break you. In this case, he is definitely causing a problem. We couldn't wait to get out of there. read more

Cute ambience, nice drinks with decent prices BUT there are some staff that are not very nice and bathrooms get quite dirty. With that said, not all staff is less than friendly. I love this place, and used to regularly end girls' night out here when I lived in the Springs previously. The reason we would end here was 1) girly, fairly innocent sweet desserty creamy cocktails and 2) quiet, which may be unfortunate since I'd hate to see this place go out of business. I just got back three days ago and walked in after a visit to the Principal's Office in Ivywild (where I had a really stellar julep). I was the only one here when I walked in..again, too bad. It'd be a loss for adult places to grab a quiet drink...but that don't take themselves too seriously... if this place were gone. I've always liked it, and always had good drinks and service. Came here for a networking event and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. The drinks were tasty and generously poured. The ladies behind the bar were doing a pretty good job of keeping up with what was probably a larger than average crowd for a Thursday night. All in all, I'd drink here again. read more

I'd give this place zero stars if I could.I stopped by for a couple drinks lastnight.The lemon drop martini was great,although everything else sucked.I paid with card and planned on leaving a tip with cash.The server openly announced to the table that there was no tip left which was VERY rude and embarrassing.Well what a great surprise a tip was left on the table for her and she went ahead and helped herself and added a tip on the card. This is very unprofessional and will never return here. This place is a unique place to wine down after a long days work. The athomsphere is like a speakeasy mixed with a old-timers feel. The omnience is so relaxing yet has a vibe of culture and mystery. But what makes this bar amazing is not the place it's the person. The main bartender there is named Ajani or AJ for short. She really makes the place truly amazing. The way she makes her drinking and her friendly and family like attitude makes you feel right at home. You have to try the blackberry whiskey lemonade, it's a too die for. She can make and whip up just about any drink with the best of whiskey's and other booze. Went here for happy hour and to have some food. The lemon meringue martini was so good. It's too bad that everything else sucked! We were so excited to come here and it was so bad. I had a couple martinis. One of the ingredients was missing off of the key lime pie martini but I wasn't told. I was given a menu but told I couldn't order anything because he wasn't sure there was anyone there to cook it. I made several comments about wanting to order food and it wasn't until I said I was leaving that he offered to even check if the cook was there. There were two guys at the corner of the bar that were obviously officiated with the bar. The way they talked I believe they were lawyers. They dropped the f*bomb every third word and laughed while describing a female co worker as a "twat". Bartender disappeared for ten minutes at a time. Had such high hopes for this. We went a little after 6p and there was NO ONE in the place. The first guest to arrive was not greeted because the bartender was on the phone handling some sort of financial matter. It was 5 minutes, after two more guests arrived, before we were even greeted. We sat at a table near the bar, and the bartender didn't even bother to walk over to greet us - instead, he talked to us from behind the bar, basically not asking how we were but just asking for our order. He also stated "and no we don't have a menu". This is drinks only - no food from what I could tell. The place is cute and has great potential, but it was hard to hear because there was a hockey game on and it was so loud (with no one in this small place, it was likely enhanced). Two of us ordered DIRTY vodka martinis with an EXTRA olive. We received VERY clean (no juice at all) martinis with 1 olive. The other drinks were fine, and the price was fantastic - which is the only thing going for this place at the moment. A tango dance group arrived a bit after us, cleared the lower space of all the chairs and tables, set up a sound system, and began tango dancing - which was fine. So, pros: great space and the prices for drinks was great. But you have to deal with less than average service from a bartender who doesn't seem to really care about customers (and given others' comments, I'm guessing it's the same person). read more
