I started working Colton in June of this year and I must say I was excited to order Peruvian food... The ** are simply because they don't follow instructions and they charge you delivery fee which is just plain greedy of them... My last straw that broke the camels back was when ordered 3 meals for a total of $41.00...My total came out to $58.00 with a $3 tip (was charged for delivery and a service fee too much $ so tip suffered). I could have bought 2 more meals..The food is dry, I asked for extra cilantro sauce (not provided on 2 separate occasions) the meat, veggies, and fries portions are way off more veggies, few fries and meat... Not worth the money... Today my order was delivered and left outside the establishment where I work so not happy with Door Dash either... Folks save your cash and frustration... I love Peruvian food and I am super basic anytime I go I want the same dish over and over and that's the lomo saltado. I did order takeout so I am unable to really provide feedback based on their service or environment so this is solely a review on food. I'm going to start by saying it is over priced for what you get. Then the meat, it was literally the cheapest most non quality meat I've tried. It really doesn't look anything like the pictures I'd have to say it could be quite deceiving. I don't know how to explain it but the meat is very thin, it's like twisted up kind of, extremely chewy and just lacking flavor. The fries were also very lacking. Even the rice, id say it's pretty hard to mess up white rice but even the white rice was crunchy and the texture was off. It came with this white sauce that I didn't so much care for either. I have been at least 3 times so I can provide the following notes: - the trio empanadas are delicious but they do run out of some options so order early or call ahead to see if they have what you want (this caused a less than 5* experience because it happened more than once) - any of the lomo saltado options are delicious and are now my go-to options--don't forget the fried plantains! - wraps have good filling, but they can be skipped on my fuutre visits and I will stick with the original Peruvian options vs fusion menu items - starters are great way to explore new flavors; the salads are served cold FYI - there can be a long wait for food so consider ordering online in advance unless you don't have time limits (takes away from 5* experience) Great small business that I am glad is in the area, and I am sure future visits will be just as tasty read more

Been coming here for years. Has always been great except for the last two visits. The last two times I've come here, the steak wasn't cooked fresh. It was previously cooked and then reheated. It was difficult to eat as the pieces of steak were hard, and lacked flavor. The chicken was the same. First time here, but we saw favorable reviews on Yelp and decided to check it out. Initially, we were at Ritual Brewery and decided to take an Uber out to see what this restaurant was all about. Upon entering, it is a smaller restaurant, but does have seating for a small groups. As a heads up, this is Peruvian food, but is not like other spots I've been to. We ordered two Beef Lomo Saltados, Ceviche, and a dessert that is like Alfajores. The food is pretty decent, but there were some other issues. Pricing wise, it is appropriately priced considering this is a specialty food and it is in Redlands. Beyond that, our food came late and then part of our table received food, while our order went to people who ordered after us. We had to even remind the cashier/waiter that they forgot our other items such as guacamole, green sauce, ceviche, but then we were told they were out of guacamole so we opted for fries. I'm not sure if we would return, but this is a good local establishment. I would recommend visiting as you might have a different experience. I've tried this spot a couple times. Each time was solid. The ceviche is my favorite. Very unique and yummy. Yucca crispy is also good. The dipping sauce for yucca not so much. The fire grilled steak bowl was pretty good. The dressing they use is amazing. However they don't put to much meat but still good. Service is great! I enjoyed myself, the times I dined. The staff wasn't friendly either I walked in and no greeting or any welcomes just cold and awkward stares I should have taken off at that first red flag. I got the lomo saltado with beef it was $13.98 kinda pricey for the portion since they barley give any beef and give so much onions I'm an onion lover but it was way too much and the food was pretty bland and the rice was undercooked and had a weird hard texture. Also the workers are sauce hoarders my husband asked for more sauce and the worker was very stingy and said you can have one . I have yet to try everything but these are what I have and dishes that I recommend. Lomo Salltado - The classic Peruvian dish. Rice, french fries, and perfectly sauteed veggies with seasoned chicken. Don't forget to add the green Aji dressing! Panka Fries - Perfectly fried potatoes doused in their secret Panka sauce as well as their delicious Aji dressing. Came here for some lomo saltado. They have a ton of options and friendly staff. I honestly thought the lomo saltado could have been a lot better, a strong 3.5/5. The beef was tender but lacking some flavor. The rice wasn't all that soft as if they didn't let it cook all the way, but that could be my personal preference. The sauce was good but it was slightly watery and there wasn't a lot of it. Fries were fine though and I definitely wiped my plate clean! I was really hungry. We only had an hour for lunch which we thought was plenty of time, but it was SLOW. I went on a date and we both agreed on having some Peruvian food. My date was Peruvian and Colombian so being here and tasting the food made him have strong memories of his childhood and his roots. Thank you. I'm writing this review for my experience that I had on September 13th. I felt welcome here, the staff made sure to make me feel comfortable and always had a smile on their face. I'm sure I reminded one of the employees of someone she knew because I had a huge fro. Afro-Latina here! Haha. We ordered the "Original Lomo Saltado plate", "Papa a la huancaina", Yucca fries comes with Huancaina sauce. I had the passion fruit drink, Maracuya sweet not too sweet. It reminded me a lot of P.O.G. (Passion fruit, orange juice and guava juice mixed drink) I grew up drinking. And he ordered the "Chicha Morada", made from purple corn. It tasted fruity, tangy hint of cinnamon, cloves, apples, lime...etc other fruits. I had a few sips and noted the sweet corn drink was a thick milky drink, tasted some notes of sweet bitter plum and reminded me of cinnamon horchata. I felt very welcome here. There was a diverse group of people walking in and after we walked in it just seemed to become packed. It was about 6pm during the week. The Lomo Saltaldo dish was delicious! I can't wait to have that again. The meat was so juicy, well marinated in a soy sauce marinate cooked with cilantro and tender from the slow cooking process. Our choice of sauce was the red Ají Panka/Panca salsa that we dressed over the Lomo Saltaldo. The Ají chili is a spicy berry/pepper native to Peru. Red in color, the Ají chili sauce packed a smokey heat. It had several notes: fragrant like a berry or parfum, creamy, sweet, Berry-like fruitiness, smokey. When the sauce first hit my tongue it reminded me of of white queso with jalapeno and tomatoes. When compared to the Ají Panka/Panca sauce, the Ají Verde, green sauce was lighter in thickness. It was a blend of vinegar, green pepper and cilantro. It tasted like Salsa Verde then it's smooth like sour cream. I'm familiar with Yucca fries as I grew up on Puerto Rican food, seeing this food here made me very happy. I realize quite quickly that I wasn't a fan of the Huancaina sauce, and that's okay. I still wanted to respect my date and cultural food so after having a bit of yucca with the Huancaina and sampling some of the Papa la Huancaina. I offered the plate and sauce to him, he was pleasantly surprised with how much Red Panka's cooking reminded him of his family recipes. The food started to jog his memory and I can tell this restaurant has a special place in his heart. I would love to dine in again and bring a group so they can try your delicious food! read more

Red Panka is an authentic Peruvian restaurant located in RedLands. I feel like their is a need for more Peruvian restaurants especially in the inland empire area. And this place has definitely filled that niche. I have enjoyed everything I have ever ordered here. This place is cool. I love Peruvian food, but this place is more of a fusion. I was turned off by the wonton taco. I wouldn't go for it. It's just meat and cheese in an egg roll wrapper. For an asian, that's a hard pass. The plantains on the other hand are delicious. Lomo saltado has potential, but I wish they tossed the fries in with it so all the sauce would get everywhere. The flavor was off as well as the color of the masa (dough) Chicha morada is a refreshing drink made from purple corn found only in South American.
