It was a culinary adventure for us to visit El Rice Pollo because 2 guys have never tried Peruvian food before. It surprised me when the server gave us roasted corns and Ali Verde sauce without bread, as I love the taste of spicy green sauce on bread and it is very hard to dip roasted corn in the sauce. Tallarin saltado de carne was good, the steak was pounded thin, kind of reminds me of the German schnitzel. Pescado a la chorrillana was okay. Aguadito de pollo is okay but different than I was used to. It makes me wonder if there are regional differences in preparation as Peru is an elongated territory of land. The service was good and the two newbies enjoyed their first Peruvian food experience so all is well.

The food is good, people are nice, but we paid $50 for #8 Papa a ala huancaina #12 Bistec a lo pobre #10 lomo saltado And the steak was tiny , i know prices are going up i dont mind paying more. Kind of disappointing.

Really found a gem of Peruvian cuisine in the IE. Ordered the ceviche de pescados s tallarines verdes they both tasted great. Would recommend this place to friends and family.

Better than any other place I have tried this dish at. Perfect blend of each ingredient. The sweet then spicy chiles that come on the side compliment this meal. Add the green sauce they serve and you have a fire worth fighting. I definitely recommend this dish if you stop by here. Tallarin verde con lomo- the lomo was delicious but the pasta was a little too harsh on the pesto. Still good though. Menu is limited but if you're into lomo you should give this place a try. The Empanada was filled with seasoned beef, olives, and hard boiled eggs. The filling was flavorful although the crust was more tender than crisp. It could have used some additional time to attain a decent outer crust. Pollo Saltado consisted of a large portion of tender, boneless chicken, stir fried with French fries and onion and served with steamed rice. It was delicious accompanied by the rice but was very salty from the soy sauce by itself. (This is an extremely common occurrence with this particular dish due to the varying salinity level of different soy sauce brands.) Since the saltado had a good overall flavor, if I were to order this again, I would recommend requesting that the food be made with a little less soy sauce. A dinner roll and butter blend was also served with this meal. The Chicha Morada I ordered as a beverage was delightfully delicious and refreshing from the mix of various fruit juices. The waitstaff were polite and efficient. There were no problems for me as for the service. The restaurant is freeway close to the 10 and there are plenty of parking spaces in the lot. Most of their business seems to be take out but dining in is also a good option. The video stereo system, providing the background music, played some nice tracks which made for an enjoyable experience. I would definitely entertain a return visit soon.

There was leftover food from previous customers at 3 tables, food on the floor and booths not cleaned with a towel. It wasn't busy to pardon it and no trash bins are located in the premise. Secondly, comparing to other rotisserie chicken venues I've tried (big chain or family owned), there is a fresh salsa bar, which always pairs well with chicken. Having bottled salsa & ketchup comes off as not thoughtful. The sides are small portioned with the rice tasting ok. I can't pinpoint the flavor of the chicken but the seasoning felt off. One & done

So here is my review based on what I ate. The fried chicken was a bit over cooked and very crunchy. If the chicken wouldn't have been overcooked I'm sure it would have been better tasting. However what I ate was just below average. The rice and beans were average as well and well I would have to say the service is average or below since I was prepared a different meal than what I ordered. I can't provide feedback on the ambiance, but probably be visiting this place based on my first and only experience.

We need to have a serious talk about the absolute wizardry happening right under your noses. ‍ I almost didn't write this review. I seriously debated gatekeeping this spot because I'm terrified that once you all find out about it, the line will be wrapped around the block and I'll never get a table again. But, my therapist tells me I need to be more "sharing," so here we are. This place is the definition of a Hidden Gem. And the man running the show? Lucho. We need to protect Lucho at all costs. Not only is he the owner, but he is also a culinary artist and arguably the one of the nicest human being in the Inland Empire. I have rolled in with a big party (don't ask, long day), and despite the space being on the smaller, cozy side, Lucho didn't blink. He helped us fit everything in like a game of Tetris. The place is spotless, by the way. You could eat off the floor, but please don't, because the plates are much better. A Warning/Disclaimer: If you are in a rush and need food in 3 minutes, go to a drive-thru. This is not fast food; this is fresh food. Everything is made to order. There are no sad heat lamps here keeping burgers warm since 10 AM. Relax, sit down, and wait. It is worth every single tick of the clock. Let's talk about the food (I'm getting emotional just typing this): The Lomo Saltado (The Star): I have eaten Lomo Saltado all over. But Lucho's? It's a flavorful experience. He cooks the steak to absolute perfection--tender, juicy, no chewing gum texture here. But the magic is in the seasoning and how it hits those fries and onions. It is worth every penny. I would pay double. Don't tell him that. Aeropuerto de Pollo (Chicken Fried Rice): I know, I know. You're thinking, "It's just chicken fried rice." WRONG. Stop it. It sounds crazy to rave about rice, but this dish is savory, smoky, and addictive. I planned to eat a few bites and take the rest home. I failed. I ate it all. The Chow Mein: Traditional? Yes. Boring? Absolutely not. There is a "minor twist" in the flavor profile that I can't quite put my finger on, but it makes the dish absolutely sing. It's out of this world. Mar y Tierra: If you can't decide between surf or turf, get this. It's the best of both worlds and plated beautifully. I love small businesses like this. You aren't just eating ingredients; you are literally tasting the love and hard work Lucho puts into the pan. It's rare, it's special, and it's delicious. Go visit Lucho. Tip him well. And tell him I said hi and to sing you a song.
