Decided to give this place another try after about five years, hoping it had improved since our last experience. Unfortunately, it hasn't. We waited around 10 minutes just to receive menus, then another 15-20 minutes before the waiter came to ask if we wanted drinks. We ordered a chicha and an Inka Cola and decided to place our food order at the same time since service was already slow. There were only two other families there--one already eating and the other still waiting to order--so the delay was surprising. The drinks did come out quickly. When my husband's plato a lo pobre arrived, it looked very sad compared to how it used to be. My pescado frito took much longer. I actually saw it sitting on the counter, and the server passed by it at least four times without picking it up. Instead, she was chatting with a table she seemed to know and going back and forth to the drink station for no reason. At that point, I honestly felt like I could've gotten the plate myself. I also don't think the fish was fully cooked, as I felt nauseous afterward--something that has never happened to me before when eating here. My husband and I agreed this would be our last visit. For the prices they charge, the food quality, portions, and service should be consistent with how it used to be. While some dishes may still have decent flavor, like the lomo saltado, this place is not the same as it was years ago when I would have highly recommended it based on both food and service. read more
