I'm not sure why there are so many negative comments when this is one of the best nail shops I've ever been to. I had a shop I would go to religiously, but that changed when MIMI did my nails. I go to her every 2 to 3 weeks depending wether or not I do gel. She's totally fabulous and so friendly! For toes I recommend Brenda she's the sweetest. As far as designs MIMI and BRENDA are the best. As far as service I recommend this place. Especially for those who are picky, because I'm extremely picky and they've managed to meet my expectations. Not happy with service at all. I would rather you tell me you can't do something then to lie and "bullshit" me on what I asked for. Now I will admit, my feet were not the best looking when I walked in (hence why I was there & why I always make sure to tip my nail tech. it's work. I get that) but I know what my feet look like when they are done properly and what I walked out of that place with was nothing less then ridiculous and on top of that my damn nail tech. Came in here on a whim. They have one of those "menus" to ask what you want. So I look at the menu and pick my service. The place was clean and quiet. My nail technician didn't have much to say, and the manicure and pedicure was average. I think a GOOD hand massage will make or break a manicure. It's important and feels great! I will say this, it was a Monday and most women know, Sunday and Monday's are the days the BEST nail techs are off. So will I give it another try? Of course. Why? My boyfriend lives walking distance from here. So the chances of needing a mani and pedi while being over his place is high. I'll just try to avoid Monday's. This place is cash only. My nails started breaking off a week after i got them done and thats because they kept messing up the gel nail polish and had to keep scrapping it off. Not the color I wanted, I wanted halo purple (2 step nail color) and this is what I got. They kept messing up and wouldn't tell me the problem I had to keep asking cus i was tired of sitting there for 2 hours! The shape is ugly and my thumbs length doesn't match, No apology and was charged 94 dollars, I also got a pedicure no complaints on that. These people are real nice and friendly, the vibe was good, I felt welcome but my nails looked like I did them tipsy, like I was on one. I got gel and it's spotty and just sad. I will admit though the manicure was decent, my cuticles were unruly and I had a few hang nails so the technician did smooth them out without cutting the skin too much. My spa pedicure was good though, my feet needed the attention and he removed some calluses and feet were squeaky clean and smooth so overall it wasn't a total loss. I would never come here again, the first time my gel set the color was peeling off. I went the next day and they didn't want to fix it. I went another time because I just wanted to fix one nail, the guy literally told me to sit down saw my nail color and said we don't have that color I said it was fine I can either leave it like that or paint it black. Came here 45 minutes before closing and I was so grateful they took me for a fill and pedicure! The man who did my pedicure was amazing, but I can't say the same about the one who did my fill. I got my fill less than a week ago and they're already lifting even though they look brand new because there's no growth! My pinky nail completely lifted and now I have to go to another salon to get it fixed, and I just noticed my pointer finger is about to start lifting as well because he applied the acrylic practically on my skin and it didn't bond to my nail. It's ridiculous that my nails are acting like I've had them on for 3 weeks when I have only had them 5-6 days. When I arrived I gave my name, the guy looked in the book and said yes, mani pedi. No! I told him the previous day I wanted gel nails which they confirmed they could do @ a $25 rate. Fine, I had already priced another place in Manhattan Beach for the same cost. I didn't appreciate him trying to up sale. When you go in for any kind of pampering/beautifying service you don't want to deal with BS. I sit down and the technician brings over a bowl of soapy water and sits down. She looks at my nails, ask if I was getting gel nails! Yes. She then ask if I want file or cut. Definitely a light file! I'm very clear about what I want. She okays that and since she didn't ask how I wanted my nails shaped I figured she would follow my current pattern. smh, nope! She grabbed the lowest grit file and jumps on my pinky. I snatch my finger away and remind her "self" that I want a "light" file. She says she quaring them. Who wants quare nails when they come with gelled curved nails. Dumb. Then she begans to file the top of the gel to remove it. I say, "Sorry but you don't know what your doing but you will want my money after I let you mess up my nails." I went to the on in Compton on A lame a in the shopping center next to Target and I will never go again because the man who did my nails didn't do what I ask for and just really,really did e do a great job on my nails. He act like he didn't want to do my nails like okay I'm just do it. Went in at noon, and left in less than an hour :) Johnny was the guy that did my nails, also the manager, and he was just incredible! Asked me what I wanted, and worked with achieving what I wanted. They don't have color powder, which is what I'm used to. But he offered colored tips and it worked wonderfully. :) I got peach tips with strawberries on them at medium length with gel. And I love them!! I asked if anyone was watching the channel 7 news, if not, could they put on channel 2 to watch the USC vs Georgia tech game, and he did so, without making me feel like I was putting him out of his way. Made good conversation, And just a pleasant experience over all! Definitely affordable, paid a fraction of what I normally pay for the same service. And I would definitely be back! :) read more

This place is reasonable as far as price range, and of course its clean too. There not as clean as when they first started. They used to use new disposable nail file and buffers but i guess they did that because it was new. Now there like whatever and that's why i bring my own pedi kits. Any ways i consider this a decent place and convenient because its close to the Compton shopping center and because the owner is always on hand to deal with issues and the staff is always friendly. I was pleased with how hers looked but it lasted only a few days. POOR QUALITY! I got a gel manicure, red for new years. And French tip toes with a design. The toes came out nice but the design was ugly. But we were in a rush. No nice massage before they painted for my feet or hands, only after and just on my legs, the lotion was freezing! ! And it was a quick one 2 your done! The gel manicure looked awful!!! Extremely poor quality, to top it off it was done by using a dirty pillow for me to put my hands on. NASTY! I have always been friendly with everyone including Johnny the owner. My friend was in the shop and witnessed Johnny cursing at one of his associates. I've been going to this place ever since they were in Carson on Central Ave. Fast service and the owners know me and my mom since I have been coming here for a while. However, I just wasn't satisfied with my most recent visit. I showed the guy a picture of the nail design I wanted and aside from not having the design material (I wanted foil lines on two of my nails and he said they didn't have that), he drew the lines and they were crooked so I had to make him do it over.
