Horrible costumer service I did a walk in it was my second time here. The first time I came I waited about 40 minutes to receive service I called ahead or time and the man that answered told me I didn't need an appointment to just walk I , we'll that cost me some time, still went ahead and got a pedicure from an older lady. I didn't ask for much so it was a nice . TODAY 8/19/2022 was my second time here. I brought along my wheelchair bound brother teenage to get a pedicure with me. The woman who helped me was nice no problems with her but then this older very skinny lady( which I'm sure is pictured a few reviews down ) started working on my brothers feet, very rough, I saw her pull his leg once or twice, she also got upset him wheelchair was in her way but the other mail tech told Us he could leave it there. He told me he wanted to get black finger nails and she told us no "men dont get color" I don't understand why it would be any of her business. Her job is to do what the costumer ask not to lecture us about what happens in her culture . She wasn't friendly at all, Rude, very unprofessional I was also refused service because they had an appointment waiting so I guess I will get eyebrows and manicure at a more professional shop. This place sucks and they have bad costumer service

I've been going to Red Persimmon for over 2 and a half years now and I am NEVER disappointed by their services! My nail tech is Lee and he always keeps my nails pristine and on point. He's very talented and amazed me today with this fresh set of pink ombré nails. He's able to do multiple styles and even freehand work! Everyone at the shop is friendly and kind. It is always clean and well kept here. I always highly recommend this shop to anyone who asks where to get a nice mani and pedi; any of the workers will take great care of you!

I came here to have my gels removed. I was impressed with the overall aesthetic of the salon. There were some very cute decorations and everything was very clean and looked nice. They have plastic dividers hanging over every single pedicure chair to create a divide between the nail technician and the customer, which I thought showed their dedication to health and safety and cleanliness. The only place where I could see some room for improvement was the service. The technician who did my nails was very rough and made me feel like I had ruined her day by coming into the salon. Her attitude toward the gel removal was somewhat careless and I believe it shows in the finished product. She did not remove the gels completely, didn't smooth out the nail, and she left my nails looking terrible. Overall I was just disappointed with the service I received here. I most likely will not return.

Okay here is honesty at its best.. The people here are old fashioned at don't know all the new and cool designs and techniques. With that being said the last time I came here I had a horrible experience. Not even a one star. Walking in I asked for black matte with a regular shiny black nail design on top. They all looked at me like I was dumb. Even showed them a picture and they didn't understand. After over an hour they did my nails to the best of their ability and they were crap. I was so embarrassed but just left and vowed to go somewhere else. Now let's fast forward to a week later when I went with my girl friend back to this nail place to see her get her nails done and see if she had a similar experience. Boom! They hired a new guy, very young and talented within two days. His names franz and he was amazing. He cracked jokes saying he best best looking Asian around, knew exactly what I wanted and made it clear "whatever we say at the nail table stays at the nail table!" Hell yes this is just what this place needed. I would have left if it wasn't for him. As he looked at my old guy black nails he said they looked horrendous. I absolutely love my new nails! (They're blue ombré, to match my dress for a wedding. Got to look good when your husbands ex is attending, lol) franz even said that other ladies around we're asking for his help with designs. If this guy ever leaves I won't come back, but for now if you want stellar nails and good laughs come to him. read more

I love this nail salon. They actually listen to what you want and give you exactly that. Pam is amazing, she was so nice and did amazingly detailed job. Plus , through such pandemic, extra sanitation is extremely appreciated. You can't come in with out a mask, you need to sanitize upon arrival, then, depending on what service you're getting done, you get seated. After getting done, they do sanitize their stations. Everyone here cares. My cousins introduced me to this spot and it definitely is my new favorite in town. Come check it out and support your local businesses especially the ones that deserve it!!! read more

WARNING: INFECTION HAZARD! I went to get my acrylics filled and a pedicure done here two days ago. They looked nice, however, I woke with my finger swollen, burning, and visible pus under the nail fold next to my fingernail of my thumb. I contacted the salon who put 'the manager' on the phone. He told me to come in. He proceeded to clean, open the skin (which is illegal), drain (also illegal), and bandage my thumb. He took my info and said he would call and check on me tomorrow. Today, my finger is still in pain and unusable. I called the salon again to speak with the manager. It was ther same guy, but now claimed he wasn't the manager. I asked if they intended to give my money back because I wasn't paying for an infection. He said it wasn't their fault and no. So, I just paid $118 for an infection which will cost me even more with doctor's fees and medical supplies. SAVE YOUR MONEY(AND POTENTAILLY FINGER) AND AVOID THE EXTRA HEADACHE, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I am going to follow up with a doctor, already made a complaint with state board, disputed the charges with my bank, and will go talk to the actual manager, and possibly a lawyer. read more

There are only a couple of people that I trust with my nails!!! Not because I'm picky but because I always come out of the nail salon with a big smile on my face !!! Lee and Jana are awesome!!! Lee does my nails and Jana does mom's. Every other week for a few years we come here and are treated like queens ;)) They always stay late for us cause of our schedule and our manicure and pedicure comes out spectacular!! Thank you Lee and Jana!!!! Definitely recommend coming by and try them out!!! read more

The staff is very friendly and always accommodating, they can be busy so it's best to make an appointment, but they do REALLY good work! They have very average prices, acrylic full set is $25, a fill is $15, nail art is $5, etc, but I am always happy and smiling when I leave here! Helen and Hannah are so amazing. Whenever my sister and I need to get our nails done we come here. If you have a picture you want them to replicate they will do it, all you have to do is find the colors you want and show them the picture. read more

I love coming here but the only reason I'm giving them a 3 star is because this has been the second time that one of the technicians have made my nail(s) bleed. Aside from being rough on my nails, they do have decent prices, great selection of polish, and nice technicians. read more

Horrendous service from the staff. The nail technician had no experience, her hands were trembling. There seemed to be no standard for quality and they did not care. The service was rushed like the turnover mattered more than quality. Nails weren't trimmed or filed evenly. I do not recommend this place to anybody. Don't waste your time or money. read more

I went to this place 3 times for gel manicure and pedicure with nail art. I also had an eyebrow wax, lip and underarm wax which were just OK at best so I didn't get waxing done again. The first two times were pleasant enough that I kept coming back. I even brought a friend for manicure and pedicure the 2nd time I was there. However, the 3rd time was weird. They never did a thorough job cleaning anything. They would rub lotion on your skin while there's still debris from them filing your nails down, the UV machines were sticky when you put your hands in them to dry gel polish (which they never apologized for), substantial cuticles are left behind, etc. Even with those quirks, I went back because my nail tech was very nice. The manager, a very serious and cranky looking hairy Asian man, literally gave me the creeps the last time I was there. There were 2 or 3 other customers while I was there. He came out of some back room looking very sleepy, walks straight up to the station I was at with my nail tech and just stares without saying a word. That went on for about 3 minutes until I couldn't take it anymore and said jokingly, "Are you learning how to do nails from her (referring to the tech working on myself)?". He grumpily said "no", kept staring for another 3-4 minutes then walked away when his cellphone went off. Weird and uncomfortable. What topped it off was he said something in their language to my nail tech while I was paying and I was charged $5 more than the last times I was there for the same service (gel manicure, nail art and pedicure). I've always been a very generous tipper and that just irked me that they would do that to me when I was giving them business! I'm never going back even though it's in a very convenient location and do NOT recommend this place. read more

I got my nails done by the man, he never gave me his name. He was very rude. He kept getting up and he went next door to get coffee in the middle of my full set. He would go in the back and talk to other staff during my appointment he didn't talk and he was very rough on my hands. I've had acrylic nails for 5 years and I just needed a new set and it hurt more then it should have. Right after I got my set on it looks like I need a fill already. Other then him being rude the pain and the bad acrylic line by my cuticle the set it mostly straight and the paint job is ok. read more

I am truly a fan. Whenever I am in town I go to this nail salon in a small strip mall in Aliante or North Las Vegas. This nail salon also caters to waxing, eyebrows, and facials as well as specializing in nails. They are very clean. The shop is open and decorated with bright caribbeanesque yellow and orange with matching island scenery and a plasma screen tv. Walking in the shop I can tell its organized with labeled containers, rooms, and how the stations are set. I received a deluxe spa pedicure and got in with the acrylic/gel nails with duo tone glitter tips. I know I'm doing too much but I hardly get acrylics like I used to so I did I'm in Vegas? I've seen them sanitizing and disinfecting between clients especially when I'm sitting in the pedicure chair waiting. Usually that should be the normal but it amazes me how some nails salons do not practice cleaning right after because their busy but Red Persimmons are about customer service and the safety of the client, which is common sense. I did not notice any of their licenses except in the front thats why I only gave them a four, but maybe also because I wasn't looking around hard but I shouldn't have to. I would totally recommend them if you are in the area, (15-20 minutes off the strip). read more

I got my nails done here a few weeks ago and was charged $35. Today when I went I was charged $45. In the basket of nail choices some of them said $10 extra on them. However, the one I picked up didn't say anywhere that it was extra & I wasn't told either that it would be extra. They were nice about it when I said that getting charged an extra $10 without being notified about the up-charge was messed up & they had me pay the $35. They do a good job here, but definitely ask what the price will be upfront because you might have a surprise charge when you go to pay. read more

The walk in service is really nice. They have a good selection of gel and regular polish. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I had a facial done here once and it was better then I expected my skin felt soft. The prices are fairly normal for a Vegas nail salon. It's very clean here. The staff is personable and friendly. If you give your phone number with each service added up you can receive an annual discount. read more

My nails look horrible and my daughters pinky toe is half painted. Super disappointed. Spent an hour and a half and basically threw away my money. Chose this place because my normal girl at another salon is off today and wow that was a mistake. I would never go back. Now I'm stuck with ugly, horribly shaped nails until I can get back to my regular girl to fix them. read more

I've been going to Red Persimmon on DI for over 10 years now. Lee (the main dude, manager, possibly owner?) is amazing and so is his team. He and all of the nail techs are outstanding. Kay is my personal favorite. Every single person who has worked on me (I get gel manis and fancier pedis) have been great. They redecorated the salon, bought a ton more colors about a year ago which really made it extra special. They are extremely clean and have added all of the necessary measures for protection against spread of COVID-19. Their customer service has always been exceptional to me. It's like Cheers where everyone knows your name when you walk in making you feel special from the get-go. Is it fancy like the hotel salons? No, but for me, a cozy, small business is much more approachable and you get more bang for your buck. Being someone who has worked on the Strip in 5 star hotels for 20+ years, my standards are really up there. Just know it's more of a mom&pop joint and not a shee-shee kind of place. Many hotel employees and UNLV professors go there. I know because I've run into so many friends there while getting services done. Hope you enjoy your time there! read more

Great job. Finally someone who knows how to make stiletto nails nice and sharp and neat. They were also very accommodating even when I changed my mind on Comoros and style of nail mid way through. This place is also next to a great coffee shop which makes it very convenient too. I'll be back for sure. I would highly recommend Tony and Hannah here. read more

This place is very out dated. Most of their nail polishes are old and sticky. The nail technician sucked. She couldn't even file properly, I asked for square and every one of my nails is a different shape.. She also got annoyed when I asked her to do a simple design. Um, pretty sure that's your job lady! So many better nail salons out there. read more

I have been coming to read permission nail salon for over two years the staff is so great and the prices are unbeatable I come in right before they're closing and they have no problem giving me a full service manicure pedicure they haveflatscreen TVs to watch they also have a facial room and for females they have just about every color for your nails you can imagine and there's an amazing coffee shop right next door so you can sip on a latte while getting your nails done! read more

When I enter this place the girl that took me back started talking in her language wich it made me very uncomfortable how ever after I told her how I felt she started talking in English only so I felt better. The reason I gave them 3 stars is because she hurt me when she was clipping my nail. And I was having gel polish only. She was nice except for what I mentioned. If I go back and I get better service I will update this review and perhaps give them more stars. read more

This used to be my favorite nail salon a few years back, but things have definitely changed. The neighborhood is going down the drain. My sister was robbed last week while getting her nails done inside the salon! She was in the process of a manicure, when a random guy walked into the salon and asked if he could wash his hands. The salon staff agreed, then he ran up to my sister, snatched her purse and took off! This was obviously not the owners fault, but they should not allow random people (nonpaying customers) into the salon to use their facilities.The thief got away with my sisters entire purse (wallet, car keys, garage door opener, etc.). Very frightening! read more

Came in for a gel polish removal but ended up getting a gel manicure and the basic pedicure. Polish removal is $10 but the manicure (that I includes polish removal) is $30, so why not. I felt she did a good job with the removal as the last place I had it done cut my fingers in multiple spots due to using the wrong dremel attachment & didn't allow the polish to soak under the cotton tips long enough. The woman at Red Persimmon let my nails soak long enough and used a softer sanding attachment around my cuticles. So far, the gel is the best I've ever had and I'm hoping it holds up. The $20 pedi was pretty good for the price as well. I'm not much for the extra massage and all, so I didn't mind that it's a quicker, scaled down version. It got the job done and my toes look nice. read more

I have never wrote a review about a nail salon and never experienced such horrible work. However, this by far was the worst job anyone has ever done. 1. Scheduled for gell fill, tech Helen attempted to use acrylic. When I brought to her attention, I was treated as if I did something wrong. 2. Requested to have them a little narrower, and im insisted this meant "coffin" style . Not what I was asking 3. Then proceed to still do a few in this sc style. Yes I meant few. My nails were c ok completely uneven. 4. She attempted to fix which caused the few nails to become shorter, and shorter, and then pointy. 5. No idea why I would ever need to mention it since was so apparent, but I had to. She would have kept it as is. 6. "Fixed" it by applying more gell on top. Yes on top vs. extended it back to normal size. And again left it this way. 7. I had to show the owner, who fixed it but also fixed another nail that was never a problem. Caused my 2 middle fingers to be super long. Oh my! 8. After the intense situation and feeling as if I'm being a "difficult" client, which by the way, I was the one being apologetic and very uncomfortable, I was diverted back to the tech to finish the job. 9. Tech didn't file them, cuticle area completely untouched, here comes the polish. 10. Polish very fast and uneven. It's now after 7 and they want to close shop. 11. I was charged for coffin, and I still tipped out of guilt. 12. In the sunlight, the paint is so uneven, I'm actually embarrassed. (yes that bad). 13. Every nail is just about a different shape. read more

I've taken my daughters here to get there nails and toes done, I then decide to get mine done, unfortunately one week later my nails started to lift and one fell off? I even tipped the girl $10... I was sick in bed for three days so how does this happen?? When I called and told them what happened they seemed nice and told me they would fix them for free I came down the next day BUT when I showed up instead of fixing them they were instantly annoyed that my nails like it was my fault? Then told me they were to busy to help me??? They offered to get me in another day but my nails looked like garbage at this point.. You guys messed up and you're getting upset with me?? I went somewhere else and now my nails are awesome!! Terrible service persimmon nails, we'll never go here again. read more

Misuse and unauthorized use of customer's credit cards without their consent or a SIGNED contract for services is a NO-NO! I haven't had the mental bandwidth to deal with this just yet, nor has my schedule permitted.

Read this carefully and beware of the people who work here. My mother, who is physically and mentally not well, was severely taken advantage of from an employee here named Ann Marie. She stole $4,000+ from my disabled mother by lying to her and acting as a friend when she knew my mother was sick. My mom has been in the hospital for 2+ months now. When we found out about this we spoke with Ann Marie, who then gave us a pity song of how she has no money and she intends to pay it all back. She even signed a promissory note. Then 3 weeks later, she had a lawyer declare her bankruptcy so she can void the promissory note. This woman and unfortunately the people that employ her are evil disgusting people without a spine. Ann Marie you deserve nothing but the worst in your life and Karma will serve you. read more
