The Red Phone Booth in Atlanta delivers on atmosphere with a smoky, sultry flair that absolutely fits the speakeasy playbook. We first spotted it on Yelp and couldn't resist the promise of a hidden entrance and a little mystery. And to be fair, they've nailed the "adventure of getting in" concept without overplaying it -- it's fun, discreet, and sets the tone the moment you step inside. That said, our entry came with a surprise we didn't love. The doorman told us there was a membership fee, so we paid it on the spot. Only later did our hotel inform us that guests can get free access codes -- no fee required. That discrepancy knocked the experience down a notch right out of the gate. It's one thing to play into the speakeasy mystique; it's another to feel misled. Once inside, the ambiance is the star. The low ceilings, dim lighting, and deep wooden bar created that moody, old-world vibe where you half expect someone to croon jazz standards from the corner. Bottles lined the back bar like a quiet promise of a good night ahead. The cocktails were good, and our bartender, Sidney, made the evening shine. Watching those massive ice slabs come out to create big-rock cocktails felt like a performance. And for me, spotting Yellow Chartreuse behind the bar was an instant win. Sidney mixed a Last Word, a Cloister, and The Green Eye -- all perfectly balanced and exactly my style. The crowd was a blend of everything -- locals, travelers, cigar enthusiasts -- and the ventilation system did its job well. I could appreciate the aroma of cigars without leaving feeling like I'd rolled around in an ashtray. We actually returned for a second night, which says a lot. The space delivers enough charm, enough swagger, and enough atmosphere to pull you back in. Still, a few bumps in the experience kept it from being a top-tier standout compared to other cigar bars we've visited on our travels. Is it worth a visit? Absolutely. Just do yourself a favor and ask your hotel for the access code before you go.

Such a cute speak easy. Really unique and hits a niche in Atlanta. So you know it's cigar friendly so if they bothers you, maybe it's not the place for you. But the staff was so so friendly and welcoming. The spritzers were very tasty. And cocktails strong and on vibe. Definitely worth a stop if this is your vibe.

What a cool place. Discovered it incidentally while in downtown Atlanta. Upscale with a dress code thankfully. The entrance code can be obtained from their website or local hotel concierges. Dial the number on the antique phone and the door magically opens. The staff super friendly and helpful. The bartenders are the best, clearly passionate about their work. I highly encourage you to try one or several of their signature cocktails. I sampled the Left Bank Martini and Vesper. As expected they are fully stocked with Pappy Bourbon, hard to find Amaro Noni. Ask a bartender about the ice block. The place is spacious unlike other speakeasys I've been to. Lots of niche areas with couch reservations, pool table available. No time for a cigar but that is on my list when I return. Food available from their upstairs sister restaurant.

My friends and I wanted to celebrate our birthday month together. It was easy to secure a semi private area that included a reasonable spend for shared food and at least 2 cocktails per person on their website. The red phone booth was easily spotted and we were escorted inside by the doorman and our server was amazing. We enjoyed learning about cigars in the humidor and the vibe was grown and sexy.

Wonderful drinks and wonderful service. The staff is so kind, shout out to Molly. The experience is so much fun, definitely look online and read before you go. 10/10 definitely check it out and follow dress code.

Nice speakeasy. They offer food from the restaurant above them. They have an extensive cocktail menu. If you're a beer drinker, there's only about 4/5 they offer. Bartender was welcoming, interesting guy. Nice space, location wasn't hard to find.

Collared shirts and sports jackets are mandatory. No problem, it's good to have class. The bartenders are super cool, the waitresses are nice however the service is slow. MM at the door will shake you down for money so be aware. Ask your hotel for the code to get in and avoid the nonsense. The drinks are poured directly from the shot glass. No extras here. The bar was out of Woodford and Uncle Nearest. WEIRD. The ambiance is cool and laid back, the speaker system is fuzzy and needs replaced.

This is the first "speakeasy" I've been to that legitimately doesn't look like an obvious bar. Walking inside is like stepping into the past. Dark wood, leather couches, and the smell of cigar smoke sets the tone as you settle in for something special. I normally do not drink liquor, but made an exception because I was with friends. The brandy cobbler was absolutely amazing! It's a shame we don't have anything like this in Jacksonville, I would be a member. I only get to Atlanta once a year, and I will be back.

So I hadn't had a cigar for this entire trip and had dinner across the street and remembered the fun vibe from 2 years ago. It's a speakeasy type cigar lounge with rules and dress and so forth. And you need a code to get it. I love that kind of old school stuff. So, I got the code and in we went and smoked, drank and laughed all night. That's called living!!!! In the end I was invited to take pictures with the staff behind the bar. An honor. Best night.... so far. Ha!!

The VIBES here are the best I found in ATL. Put a collar on, check in with your bartender (as one should in a proper establishment) and get yourself setup for an old school cocktail experience. I wouldn't say the humidor was world class but it's certainly sufficient if you know what you're looking for. You say: 'it's too smoky' I say: 'The air filtration was on point and running heavy.'

    Unassuming entrance

What a secret in downtown ATL! Had to have a friend call us in (I don't profess to know how this works), but a glorious speakeasy close to the Peachtree center. Come and relax for old timey cigars and a menu of descriptive drinks.

"The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind." Humphrey Bogart Red Phone Booth. Problem solved. Cocktails here flow like secrets among the crowd, and the flair of high end cocktails combined with the intoxicating environment of this liiteral hidden gem in Atlanta's make for a great night. It's easy to get caught up in the fun of this speakeasy as you make your way into the crowded bar. You can't help but have a good time as you watch the bartenders tend to their craft, and it's not lost on the patrons. Service is excellent, and I would highly recommend seats at the bar to watch the magic. In the spirit of prohibition, speakeasies, and fight club, I won't talk about The Red Telephone Booth. What happens in the Red Phone Booth stays in The Red Phone Booth. Shhhhhh
