Great food great service with my friends and the decor was nice to look at all of it and the reservations was great timing

RR exceeded my expectations. Meaning, I was surprisingly blown away by our meal. So, in translation: if you are in the Williams, AZ area, dine here. Great food, great service and great prices. We drove up the night before a scheduled train ride to the Grand Canyon. Given its location and the problems wth cell phone reception upon arrival, I resigned to expecting to dine at an average or decent place. So, we asked the front desk agent for a dinner recommendation and she said Red Raven without hesitation. Even then, we were appreciative of the guidance but I presumed it would be a local Applebees or Pub type restaurant. ..... Boy was I wrong. From the outside, it looks like a nice quaint restaurant and inside, it was a place where the casually dressed and folks who are more spruced up would be equally as comfortable. The menu included a wide variety of options with all entrees less than $30. We admittedly spent quite a bit of time trying to narrow down our selection. Luckily, our waitress provided helpful information which made decision making a bit easier. This meal was one of the most memorable aspects of our visit to Williams. And any return would not be complete without a repeat. It was just that good. read more

Scrumptious!!! We just pulled into town, tired and hungry. Red Raven looked appealing and we are not unhappy this was our choice. Hubby had the Guinness Bistro Stew and I had the Grilled Salmon Salad. We both had the lobster bisque soup. The soup was full of lobster meat and had a bit of a kick. The stew was phenomenal! It was bursting with flavor from the melt in your mouth lamb and fresh herbs. I couldn't stop dipping my bread in his bowl. My salad seemed to have been just picked from a garden. It was pre tossed with a ginger sesame dressing and pine nuts. Our waiter, Luis was super nice to us. I told him I was born and raised in NYC and if I didn't know better I would have thought we were in a chic Manhattan gourmet restaurant. It was that good! Good restaurant in a total tourist trap but I don't think 4,5 stars is warranted. Based on only 1 visit, the food was good but I wasn't blown away. 1st - the oil used for frying probably was probably a bit stale. The boy's fish n chips and our tempura brocolini were very greasy. However the Alaskan cod in the fish n chips was very tender. My mushroom in the portebello sandwich was good but it had the appearance it wasn't cooked with enough heat or long enough. Overall, unfortunately probably the best you can do in Williams. read more

We took our kids 14, 17, 19 &23 here while on vacation. 2 got tenderloins that were done to perfection. 1 got a seafood dish (Mussels and clams with linguini), 1 got the lasagna, 1 got the pork tenderloin meal and 1 got the grilled salmon with two sides. All of us loved EVERYTHING!! There was not a leftover to take home! The service was superior--very friendly,on top of refills and helpful when choosing. My wife and I hit this place on a Friday early evening. She had the New York strip with the mushroom pecan rice pilaf. She said it was excellent I tried a piece and thought so as well. I had the Lamb sirloin med rare and it was excellent and grilled zucchini/squash, I'm picky when it comes to lamb so I debated whether to try it or not. I was very happy I did. We also shared a desert which was killer. The restaurant was cute and in one of the towns old historic buildings. Our server was attentive and pleasant. My wife liked the house Cab and I had a vodka martini that they made the way I asked for. We would definitely return here next time we are in Williams. I gave it a five star rating because there was absolutely nothing for us to complain about. read more

You have to eat here!! I hardly ever leave any reviews but after eating here I just had to. Their food was so flavorful and delicious! Service was great!!! Rachel was our server and she was soo attentive and kind. We loved our experience here and definitely plan on coming back any time we're driving by Route 66. Hands down the best steak I have ever had in my entire life. There was a little wait on the food, but I didn't mind because perfection takes time. Eventually flagged down another server for a water refill after 20 minutes with an empty glass, but it's understandable because it was extremely busy the night we went. I was pleasantly surprised to find this fabulous restaurant in quaint, downtown Williams. Absolutely unexpected and unique menu items. I went there on a recommendation for "a good steak" from my hotel's staff, but after seeing duck and lamb on the menu I found myself torn. I opted for the Guinness Bistro Stew (lamb) and was thrilled with my choice. I paired my entree with a glass of Zinfandel from a Northern California winery, and it made for a perfectly satisfying meal. The service was wonderful. This restaurant was highly recommended but did not live up to the recommendation. They need to go to Copley's in Palm Springs to see how it should be done! The couscous was dry and hard and when I asked if it could be replaced with vegetables the server declined, mind you I had ordered the filet at 31$. The steaks were good as was the dessert. The restaurant was busy especially for a Tuesday night in the "dead season" but I felt that the service could have been better. For example at Copley's when your wine glass is empty, they come and refill it, actually before it is empty. we ordered a bottle and 2 different people came to our table and never refilled my glass. The filet also reminded me of the bacon wrapped filets from Willamette Valley Meat that I buy at WinCo. We would try a different restaurant next time. read more

It's in Williams ya'll, so there are not a ton of spots for dinner. All in loved the food. One of two steaks was grilled perfectly, the other was a skosh overdone. Not the end of the world. The side with the meal are, well, tiny. The salad was good but so small that it did not cover the entire 6" serving dish. Slow speed of service. They are polite but man they are slow to get food out. As other reviews have stated, 20 minutes is a normal wait for a component of the meal. As all prices food service prices in Williams are exaggerated by about 25-40% above the norm for the quality get prepared for a bit of a sting. If the speed of service was not laborious, 4 stars all day for this spot. read more

The restaurant was super clean, loved the decor and service was top notch! The food was amazing!! We dined at Red Raven while staying at the Grand Canyon Hotel which is right next door. Places like Red Raven are hard to review because you can't really compare them to steakhouses or restaurants in medium-sized or larger cities. The restaurant was small and quaint. We arrived at 5:30 and it filled up quickly. The service was very prompt and staff were very friendly. Prices were very good. My husband ordered the lamb for an appetizer. He is from South Africa, and they eat meat often so we are always looking for good lamb. Because we were not sure of the quality or taste, we opted for the appetizer (lamb brochette) in lieu of committing to a dinner portion. That ended up being a good decision. I ordered the rib eye steak ($22) and added on the mushroom, onion and Worcestershire and white wine sauce for $3. I also opted to add a lobster tail for market price (can't remember how much it was but I think around $12-15). The steak was cooked as requested and flavorful. In hindsight, I would have kept it simple and would not have included the add-ons. The sauce overwhelmed the steak and the lobster lacked flavor. For dessert, we had the chocolate trilogy (favorite part of night). Overall, we had a great dining experience and felt it was the best of our options in this small town. read more

After an 8 hour drive I was a bit tired and ordered the pepper and portobello steak for $20. Whoops it's not a steak it's a grilled mushroom lol. OK sorta my fault for being tired, not reading the ingredients, and assuming something labeled a $20 steak is a steak. That's OK I think, they've got over a dozen microbrews on tap. I order the darkest one and, surprise it's a typical microbrew watery ale. I order a salad for $7 and it's good but not an actual salad just a couple bites and smaller than a side salad. So over $40 and I'm still famished. Anywhere else I'd give 2 stars but this is a very touristy town so it's probably par for the course. read more

Place was nice the food was good. I had the clams and mussels. I don't normally order seafood when I'm nowhere near the ocean, but I thought why not let's give it a try and it was worth it. For my main course I had the filet mignon, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked just right and seasoned well. The mashed potatoes were supposed to be garlic with horseradish, but didn't really taste the horseradish kink of lacking.
