    The interior of Red Ribbon,
    Arvey S.

There's plenty of Red Ribbon shops around as it's a chain and every store is almost minted in the same standardized fashion. It's a bakery and minor restaurant with a Filipino twist. One thing I can say about this place, they are reliable and consistent. Their halo-halo dessert is decent and one of my go-to for that treat. The cakes and pastries are decadent and outstanding, especially one of their standard offerings, the moist chocolate cake bars. There's nothing special about their palabok, arroz caldo or any of the food items, but at least they're there if you want a taste of quintessential Filipino food. It's very corporate in decor and presentation, more like a fast-food joint, but nonetheless, it's great they're around to bring the taste of the Philippines.

The place is a decent size and clean. It's usually never crazy busy here. They have a small dining area. I mainly only go here when my mom sends me here to get her favorite palabok and chicken empanada. I grew up always having the mocha crunch cake at family parties. I never really understood the hype. My tip is to check the dates on the items prior to purchasing. Mamon and items like that only have best buy dates from about 3 days of purchase. If you don't eat right away, it does get moldy by the best by date. Second tip: If you are buying empanada and palabok, make it a meal with a slice of cake. You save a little more that way. I personally like the yema cake or chocolate mousse. Service is ok. They ladies at the register are typically nice.

I came here on a whim because i was craving a sweet treat, and much to my delight, it's a Filipino bakery! I love filipino cuisine so i was super happy, and i love how easy the packed up goods are and such variety. I got an ube mamon and a butter mamon as well and was obsessed! so light and fluffy, and we paid very quickly since the service was so quick and the staff even asked us if we needed help. can't wait to go back! so cute here

If I've been to a real Red Ribbon bakery shop, I really don't remember. I'm usually seeing their products in other stores, but this is a stand alone store. Really clean inside, and quick service. Got their: Ube flan: way too sweet, never getting this again Mocha bread: really good with a nice coffee flavor Butter original: decent and buttery Would definitely buy the bread again.

I don't find myself in Daly CIty anymore but a chore led me to this Red Ribbon and thank god it did as an Angel was working there just now. Literally, Angel. Her kindness, pride, and professionalism and knowledge of all products sold here are the marks of a stellar employee. One who will definitely climb the corporate ladder. As someone who ordered after experienced the same level of service she said to this special Cashier, Talagang Angel. Couldn't agree more. Her name fits the bill. Thank you, Angel.

Red Ribbon makes the best Pancit Palabok and Mango Cake in town. It's a Filipino bakery that specializes in cakes, snacks, pancit, arroz caldo, empanadas, etc. Today I ordered pancit palabok, arroz caldo (congee) and ensaymada (soft sweet bread). I got the cheese and yema caramel bread and the saleslady said the yema batch was on sale today ( I noticed tomorrow was the expiration date). Why not? She threw in a free yema ensaymada for me. Sweet! I always order their mango cake every year for birthdays. Never gets tired. Rich mango filling with light whipping cream. Delish!

WHY ONLY HALF A CUP? WHY NOT FILL IT TO THE TOP? THIS PLACE TOO CHEAP!

This place is a scam! I bought two Arroz Caldo (Chicken Porridge) To Go they came in two small paper bowls. When I got home opened both bowls were half filled. ARE THEY NUTS? they were $7 each tiny bowls they did not fill it to the brim? Ridiculuous! This is a scam. After literal 10 scoops each bowl is gone unbelievable. The first dig I hit rock bottom of the bowl already I got depress. I'm gonna need therapy and anger management after this. Never going back again. No wonder people stopped coming here lately. Its always empty nowdays. I should have listen to my gut. Ang kuripot nyo!!!! Sobra!!! The Pinoy community is a small world wait ti'll everyone hear about this!

Empanadas - Chicken, Beef, and Pork

Few months ago, I brought a Ube Coconut Roll for one of our aunties' party. She loved it. And so did everyone else apparently because later that week I was asked if I could bring another one for a different party. Delicious and I love the pretty purple and white colors. Most of the time, I buy things that look pretty but I'm so happy this also tasted delicious. Can't wait to try the chocolate roll one of these days because that looks so good, too. Separately, I have been wanting to sample their empanadas, so on one occasion we got their chicken, beef, and pork. All tasty, but I really like their sweet Ube coconut roll more.

Needed a birthday cake last minute, and Red Ribbon was still open after 8pm. Staff were friendly and greeted us upon our arrival. Quite a few cakes to choose from, which made it hard to decide . . . Until we noticed the cake sampler (just under $40). Flavors - mango, mocha choco crunch, ube, and Black Forest. All were good and not overly sweet. My fave continues to be the mocha choco crunch.

What a deal! I got the pansit palaboc, chicken empanada, with a chocolate roll for a party. It was perfect combination and a great price.

I would eat the cream by itself if they sold it that way. Good thing I don't live nearby. I highly recommend cakes that let their vanilla frosting shine without mixing too many flavors. A cousin has brought over cakes from Butter& on numerous occasions, and they've been a hit each time. Beautifully crafted with the outside layers so you can see both the cake and frosting layers. I absolutely love the unique-esque of flavors here. The first cake I tried from Butter& was their brown butter lemon cake. It was a bit too sweet for my liking, but love the sound of that flavor combination. It was great texturally. The second one I tried was their lychee raspberry. Wow, they really get that lychee flavor super well there! Very impressed. This one was more to my liking, and it was as equally as beautiful as the first one. Disclaimer that I haven't been to the actual store, but heard great things re service and the atmosphere. I bet it smells amazing in there. For bakery items, go grab a tray and tongs, then head over to the clear plexiglass cabinets and start grabbing all the delicious baked goods that your taste buds desire. I would suggest staring with walking along the cabinets to scout out the items first before grabbing a tray and tongs, otherwise you have the tendency to just keep grabbing items that look good on the first pass and then be up with too much. Their cakes look very appealing and tempting to purchase. We just ate dinner and I was too full to try one of their coffee or tea drinks.
