My wife and I ate here this evening. Our waitress Abigail was less than attentive failing to ever bring us our dinner rolls and neglecting to check on drinks until our steaks came. I ordered a $24 Ribeye that was at least 40% fat. My wife did enjoy her Black Diamond steak so that was something. The broccoli was so overcooked they were brown and soggy. I ordered the spinach as my side and it was loaded with onion and bacon, so tasted nothing like actual spinach. I'm a local but I don't eat here very often because I know I dislike their food. I try them about once a year and things never change. As sad as this sounds, if you are looking for a steak in Clarion you are better off at Applebees. read more

Had such a fun time watching hockey at the RRR bar. Terry and Barbara were fun bartenders. They were so friendly and more entertaining than the game. Enjoyed the appetizers and yummy carrot cake. My husband loved the beer in a boot. No more shell peanuts but not real sure about the spicy pretzels. Overall great visit, clean, comfortable place to visit. Wow! Bartender Kerry is slow with an attitude! She was busy but snapped at me over a very reasonable request (could you change the channel to the baseball game when you get a moment). "I'm way too busy to worry about the tv." Well maybe if you were aware what your customers might want, you would've had the local MLB team on the big screen (or other tv) instead of an auto auction that nobody was watching? You don't get a second chance to do that to me! The food was fair the last time that I was there so I decided to give them another shot. But after that, I left $10 on the bar for a $6 beer that I barely touched, and left. Applebee's got my business for the rest of the night. I shudder to even give this place a single star after ordering the Black Diamond steak for my wife, the all you can eat fish fry for myself, and a fish platter for my five year old son. The host was the only cordial person in the business and even let my son pick out any crayons he wanted which I though was pretty awesome. We get to our table, and the waitress must have been having a bad day because you could instantly tell the amount of negativity as she writes her name upside down on the table angrily. We take our time figuring out what we want to order, and after about 10 minutes we let the waitress know. The Black Diamond steak was to be medium cooked. As our food arrived, we looked it over and immediately knew something was wrong. A simple thing that could have been easily fixed quite honestly. None of the fish was properly cooked, even the breading was soggy. The steak was ultra rare. I called over the host and asked if we could have the steak sent back to be cooked further, to which the waitress came over and took the steak. When she came back with it, literally nothing had changed about the steak. It was still just as rare as when it left the table. I then asked to speak with a manager about the issue. So this guy, and this is what really grinds my gears here, this manager comes over and asks what the problem is and, I explain about the steak and the fish. RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FIVE YEAR OLD SON this twerp of a human as he's five inches from my face says "it's not my fault your son wont eat his food". I WISH I would have gotten his name for a formal complaint! I then ask the manager to back away from my face and he pops off with "are you threatening me?" wtf dude, really? Threatening? no, I just don't want to smell your garlic breath. At this point I tell him to just cut me a bill for what's been eaten and that I'm not paying for the fish. I even offered to pay for the steak. This guy had the nerve to become confrontational and say that he's gonna call the cops, so I say "sure go ahead, I'll wait and explain it to them too!" When I said that he started talking about the fish being cooked and his kitchen doesn't send out uncooked fish. I literally picked up a piece of this nasty under-cooked fish and smushed it between my fingers right in front of him to show this guy just how under-cooked it was. It's an annual tradition that we eat lunch here following a trip to the ALF craft show...we SO look forward to eating at the roadhouse!! Unfortunately, we were disappointed this year...first in the stale peanuts on the table, second in having to ask our waiter for rolls( he told us we don't get rolls caused we ordered salads...10.99 marinated steak salads to be exact) and third the definite decline in the quality of our salads which we've enjoyed numerous times ( brown lettuce, hard pink tomatoes and just the small size of the salads). I had a couple pieces of steak that were so chewy I had to spit them out. Oh and honey I shrunk the rolls!!! They are about a third of the size they used to be! Our waiter was very nice, the bright spot in this review! I hope they do something to draw us back, it used to be a favorite dinner destination as well!! read more

Service was excellent. I sat at the bar on Tuesday night and ordered wings and house made chips. The chips were hot and fresh and pleasantly seasoned. The wings tasted like they had been cooked three days in advance and then fried until there was nothing left. It hurt my teeth to chew them. Very dry. Had a very pedestrian beer selection with very few craft beers on tap. Mostly colors light bud light and the same thing as every other OK bar. Went for dinner tonight, waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our drink order. Had to go to the front desk and ask another waitress to ask our waitress to come take our order. They were not even busy and waiter's were standing around talking. My daughter ordered Shrimp scampi, noodles were extremely undercooked. We told the waitress about it and she did nothing. I normally only go here on Mondays for their special wing nights. But when I am there they treat you very well they try to get you in as soon as possible! They have a nice little bar inside also! Expensive for the quality of food, but if anything, I think you pay for the portions - you'll be full with just your salad and rolls! Decent place, not my fav, but it gets 4 starts for two reasons - #1 the rolls are amazing and #2 the servers are great and give a good dining experience, very very friendly. read more

Maybe the worst service and meal I've had in a long time. We arrived at 4PM on a Saturday and even though the place was at least half empty we had to wait for a table. Excruciatingly slow service. We were about to walk out when the food arrived. Our waiter announced that he "forgot" my soup just as he brought my raw meatloaf to the table. Visited for the first time this afternoon. Waitress took our order and we waited for almost an hour and still no food. Went to talk to employee at the register. She was less than friendly when we asked about what was taking so long. Come to find out, the waitress left for "a family emergency" All the while our food was sitting there under a heat lamp. Food was brought to table and was horrible. They had the nerve to charge us full price for this food saying "sorry about that". Needless to say this place has ridiculous management and their customer service sucks. Steph, your coworkers didn't help you out today and you all gave the restaurant a bad name in our book. I drive to Cape Cod every year and stop in Pennsylvania which is sadly a decent food desert, until I found RRR Roadhouse. Is it the best the steakhouse, no, but it is the best meal I have had off I-80 in PA. The steaks are good, nice salads, generous portions and full bar with friendly service. So back to their opening day. sweet potato went back 5 times . Was not even slightly baked. This was for all four of us at our table. The steaks were all opposite of what we each ordered. Since that I try to go back with various friends family different times. just one question how does a steak place run out of steak or other times potatoes? Each time out of something. Rolled into town after a 9 hour drive. Checked into the hotel and asked for a local recommendation. The hotel quickly offered RRR. They gave me a 10% off coupon and said is was very nice. We got there at 9 pm and they close at 10 pm. When you walk in there is a "viewing window" so you could see the kitchen. The first thing i noticed were bowls of wings sitting there. I commented to my friend that they must sell a lot of wings. We were brought to our booth right away and were quickly greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable 19 year old college student. She told us it was wing night and we could get half off wings with a cocktail. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 12 piece orders of wings. When they arrived at the table it was obvious that the wings were precooked some time before. My wings were made even colder by the sauce poured over them (not room temp but cold). Not wanting to make a stink and my friends wings were considerably warmer we continued onto ordering dinner. I ordered a porterhouse steak and my friend ordered a salad with steak tips on top. When delivered it was clear the steak was a reheat and the tips on the salad were COLD. Double Checking with our server to make sure the saled wasn't supposed come that way, it wasn't and the salad went back. So i sat there slowly eating my juiceless 20 something dollar steak while waiting for her salad. It came back after only a few minutes with piping hot fresh meat on top. On the bright side the drinks were well made, our server was excellent and the place was pretty clean. I am not from the area but a Mall steakhouse? There has to be a better one around. I used to enjoy this restaurant but this last time that I went I was very disappointed. They do not offer a salad with your meal anymore. If you want a salad with your meal you have to pay $3.99 for it. I went there with my client that has mental disabilities. We were placed in the back where there was another client that also had mental disabilities. There was no silverware on the tables or peanuts in the buckets. It was like it was totally secluded and close down until we brought our clients in. I feel they stuck us in the back because our clients disabilities. The waitress was very nice and pleasant. She took very good care of us but I will no longer return to this restaurant because I feel we were discriminated. read more

Disgusting. I'm literally sitting in the bar right now looking at the mold and dirt and watching filthy containers being put into refrigerators with kegs. Also, it smells of cleaner but I originally put that down to the peanuts that are everywhere and need to be cleaned up - nope. Mold. And filth. Ate here Saturday night. Good service, not so good steaks, and seems the price has gone up. We like the large beers and the roadhouse atmosphere. Peanuts were stale but the waitress heard me tell our table mates and she brought us fresh ones that were fine. The steaks were small sirloin and cut crooked so of course they weren't cooked consistently throughout and rather gristly. Be warned the large beer is 34 ounce so don't order large thinking you'll get 16 or 20 ounces instead of 12 ounce. Prices here are substantially more than the Texas Roadhouse back home and the quality of the food is not as good...though the beer is better. read more

Being from Clarion, you know that the restaurant selection is very limited. The "town fathers" don't beleive in allowing a variety of eating establishments. So, for RRR Roadhouse to be voted the #1 steakhouse in Clarion is really not such an accomplishment since it's the ONLY steakhouse in Clarion. All in all, the food is okay but way over priced for the quality. I ordered the "bone-in ribeye", medium rare. The steak was cooked right but it was so thin that it barely had two sides to it. RRR is a good atmosphere to eat in with friends and family. It's safe to say that RRR is the only thing keeping the mall open. I do recomend eating here but be advised that the prices are a little high compared to the food quality. The waitresses are real nice and the management is real helpful. If you want a steak that costs $24 dollars and is worth $24 dollars, you may want to look somewhere else though. read more

THREE STRIKES, THEY'RE OUT. SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY AND EAT ELSEWHERE (If you can find a place in the restaurant desert of Clarion). Have eaten there several times. All of which have been disappointing to some degree. However, as I mentioned there are not many restaurant choices in Clarion (it's a small town). This afternoon will be last time dining there. Spotted in with my daughter for dinner. To simplify things I'll just list them: 1.) Tables sticky 2.) Salad from a bag, tomato nearly white so unripe. 3.) Complimentary rolls STALE served dripping with some sort of oil and a side of "Country Crock"ish sweetened spread. 4.) $9.99 for a frozen preformed "angus" burger on a STALE bun. I am pretty sure you can buy an box of those prefab "angus" patties at WalMart for less than that. My daughter wanted a plain burger with nothing on it. I asked if I might be charged less since she did not want cheese, bacon or any other "fixens" on her burger. The waitress said no, but that she could order of the kids' menu. No, biggie. My daughter is picky so I pay the price. But if you are looking for a PLAIN burger....$9.99 is the price......FOR FROZEN PREFAB???!!! 5.) house made chips were crispy BUT UNSALTED. 6.) I ordered a fish sandwich......that never came. The waitress brought the check and I mentioned it to her as to be sure it wasn't on the bill. She was very apologetic, saying she "completely forgot" and offered to put the order in as a take out. I declined......I was actually thankful she forgot it as I feel certain it would have been as disappointing at the rest of the meal. Basically, overpriced frozen prefab food on all visits. Husband has had a steak in the past (full of gristle) and ribs (sort of pasty mushy.....don't know how they got them like that???... braising too long perhaps). Save you money....eat elsewhere. Better yet buy yourself a nice steak, fresh veggies and a bottle of wine or some good beer and eat in!!! Aside form the dishes....it would be a much better meal!!......otherwise just grab a Mc double at Mc Donalds, you'd still be better off. If you've made it to the end of this (rant??? lol) then please know this is the first review I've ever posted on such a site....That is how bummed out I was about wasting my husband's hard earned money at this place this afternoon. I came in with a party of 10 and was told the wait was 20 minutes. When the beeper they gave us didn't go off they came looking for us. This was the start of the great service! Ashley was our waitress and she was very attentive without hovering. I had the Louisiana Purchase and it was delicious!!! Since it was my wife's birthday they sang to her and treated us very well. I don't know what others are talking about when they complain but we all had a great time and a great meal. Plus I got a shirt for devouring a 2 pound steak! My husband and I stopped in Clarion this past weekend on our way from NY to Indiana. Perfect half way point, so when the hotel suggested this place, we were excited. Who doesn't like a good steak? The menu says that the meats are never frozen always fresh. Aged 28 days if I remember correctly? My husband wanted to try the 39oz steak for the free t-shirt. Waitress says they ran out. She claimed they only order 3 at a time? He ended up with the t-bone steak and I ordered the Angus tenderloin strips at the waitress' recommendation as I wanted a lean steak. The food was excellent. Meat was full of flavor. The corn and potatoes were indeed delicious. I was surprised. However the service was horrible. My soup wasn't ready by the time the food came. (what restaurant does that?) By the time she brought the soup, I was half way done with my dinner. She completely forgot the dinner rolls until we reminded her. She kept apologizing so I am not sure if she was new or if the restaurant was overwhelmed as the place was packed. read more

I have been to this mediocre restaurant several times before, because it is one of the better options if you are driving through Clarion, but I will NEVER eat here again. Our waitresses were lovely (we had two since one was a waitress in training) and after a long wait our order was finally served. My husband ordered a breaded shrimp platter, but when it arrived the shrimp were grilled. Not what he expected and not what he wanted, but we decided not to complain. When the bill came it turns out that we were charged almost $10 more for the grilled shrimp. We pointed out that we had ordered the shrimp platter and asked for the bill to be corrected. The manager (not a people person and rumor has it the only reason he has the job is because his dad owns the restaurant), refused to change the bill and all but accused us of somehow trying to get away with something. Hard to recommend a restaurant where the manager treats you like dirt. Again, loved the waitresses & not their fault, but I am pretty sure if the manager wasn't related to the owner he would be looking for another job. Eat somewhere else. read more
