I'm absolutely thrilled to finally write a review for Red's Cheesecakes! I've been raving about their Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake ever since my birthday in December! First off, the ordering process was a breeze. I reached out through Instagram, Red's response was fast, and booking my pick-up date was quick and easy. Payment was done via Zelle and then I was all set for the big day. When I picked up my cheesecake, Audrey (I think that was her name?!) was incredibly friendly and took the time to provide detailed instructions on how to transport the cheesecake safely. From shading it from the sun, to proper refrigeration, her passion for ensuring the cheesecake arrived home in perfect condition was evident. She was so kind and friendly that I think we were there chatting for several minutes about random things, the conversation just flowed! Now, the cheesecake itself was out of this world - so delicious that my boyfriend who doesn't like anything but chocolate went back for seconds. That is saying ALLOT because usually he scrunches his nose and says "if I'm going to waste my calories it has to be chocolate." He loved it! We also have another friend who was at my birthday who loves cheesecake and is pretty picky, but he was equally impressed and wanted to know where we got it. The Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake is truly strawberry shortcake heaven. Not going to lie, I hogged the little leftovers for myself. I do wish I had more photos to post but my phone died and I had to get a new one and did lose a bunch of photos, so I don't have any handy of the beautiful slices. I'm very eagerly looking forward to trying / surprising my boyfriend with The Chocolate Cheesecake for our anniversary! I'll definitely be sharing more photos at that time. I came all the way from (October 2023) San Diego to Los Angeles just for this strawberry crunch cheesecake, and it was absolutely worth the trip! As someone who adores the strawberry crunch ice cream, I was ecstatic to discover it in cheesecake form. This was a special treat for myself--usually, I don't get a birthday cake since my son and I share a birthday and I let him pick whatever he wants, but not this year. I needed to get my own, and I couldn't have chosen better. The cheesecake was devoured quickly, and for good reason. The flavor is spot-on, just like the classic strawberry crunch ice cream, and the texture is perfect. The thick crust holds everything together beautifully. My mom loved it so much she ordered one for her (Feb 2024) Galentine's celebration, and she received nothing but amazing compliments. She did have some trouble finding the pick up location, but the owner was nothing but patient with her, guiding her until she found the location. That level of customer service really stood out and made the experience even better. It also means a lot to me that this is a Latina-owned business. Supporting businesses like this is important to me, and I'm so glad I did. I also noticed they now have a chocolate crunch cheesecake--perfect for my upcoming birthday! I didn't personally talk to anyone from here but my GF & my aunt both talked to them. They had nothing but good/nice things to say with their experience. My gf & I live in OC and my aunt lives in LA. After seeing Red's Strawberry Crunch Cheesecake on my IG feed I knew I had to get it for my Bestie's Birthday as he loves Friendly's Strawberry Shortcake Ice cream cake. Ordering was easy as I followed the instructions on their IG account. I drove from Orange County on a Sunday (cuz I'm not braving weekday traffic) to pick up my order of the 9 inch Strawberry Crunch with a cooler with a bunch of ice packs. I had to wait maybe 15 mins after letting them know I arrived at the designed pick location and time but they warned me of the wait as it was a busy weekend. Pick up was easy and the person who handed me the cheesecake was friendly and gave me additional instructions on handling and caring for it on the ride home and storing it once I got home. The next day I surprised my Bestie w/ the Cheesecake and a Friendly's Strawberry shortcake ice cream cake. The Cheesecake looked beautiful and tasted delicious! Very much worth the cost and time to drive to pick it up. Everyone who had it loved the flavor of the cheesecake but crust and Strawberry Crunch topping are what made the cheesecake so good! In comparison to the Ice cream cake it's different but same flavor, I mean cheesecake vs ice cream cake it's a hard choose when they are both good. If you love cheesecake then Red's is a good one to try. I would order it again for special occasions like a good friend's birthday. Those who we served the cheesecake to reminded me when their birthdays were or claimed me as their new Bestie so that I can get them a cheesecake for their birthday. Maybe I would save the Strawberry shortcake ice cream cake (~$14) for the kids and Red's Strawberry Crunch (~$85) for the adults or cheesecake lovers. Let me just start off by saying customer service 100/100 the cheesecake is simply amazing I have never had one with such buttery and crispy crust. The care they put into making each one is noticeable. The consistency is fluffy and creamy perfect balance not too sweet or too tart. The absolute best cheesecake I've ever had! The texture is a perfect mix of firm+creamy, sweet+tangy, and don't get me started on the THICK graham cracker crust! On top of an exceptional product, the service is top tier. It's great to support small businesses, but sometimes you sacrifice service or logistics; not with Red's Cheesecake. This a small, woman-owned business who has their ish together! Their availability, prices, and pickup instructions are clearly explained on their Instagram page. They respond to direct messages promptly and are always on time with pick up times. Even when I've had to change my pick up time at the last minute, they've always been kind and flexible. I always place a cheesecake order for holidays and when I have guests in town (it's such a nice surprise for my guests- they alway love it). My only wish is that they bring back drop off service! We absolutely love Reds cheesecake! We have been ordering for a few years now. We drive about an hour and half for pick( totally worth the drive). Even with the drive it's the cheesecake holds up well in the cooler. Our favorite is the strawberry crunch, super moist cheesecake ,crunchy top and yummy crust. Easy ordering and pick up. Creamy like pudding, tart like key lime pie, and the crust... good lord that crust. I was eating the crust like a cookie.
