    Princess cake (left), Tres Leches
    Mia K.

Love their cake slices and the variety. Always excellent customer service. My favorite cake is The Princess, as colorful as the almond marzipan is strong. I've had better strawberry shortcake. The Tres Leches Whipped Cream is a dream. Tip: Cakes are half price the next day. They charge for a cup of water and have a few tables. I'm told you can buy as many or little cookies by the pound as you wish. Great way to treat yourself or spend $5 for 3 hours of free parking at the mall.

    Princess cake!

I want a Princess cake every year so my hubs heads on over to VB for one! It's hard to find this variety of Scandinavian cake with spongey cake, cream, jam, and the Marzipan frosting. The green color is traditional but they always manage to spruce it up and make it fun and cute!

Viktor Bene's Bakery is located inside Gelsons Supermarket in Century City. Parking is free inside the Westfield parking structure with validation from Gelsons. Earlier today, while in Century City I popped into Gelsons to purchase some items. Gelsons also has a great ready made hot and cold food deli, various salads and most of it delish. Love the chicken curry salad, wasabi tuna salad, shrimp dill salad and the antioxidant salads, to name a few While waiting for my deli order to be completed I sat at table by Viktor Bene's Bakery and watched as people purchase bakery treats. Two mature women behind the counter helped each customer expeditiously and were very kind and nice. As I sat close by I can see and hear each transaction and the women were very professional and genuinely helpful. I was curious and took some pics of the tempting treats that looked heavenly. The women offered to help me, I told them I was just admiring the sweets. Later another woman who worked there also offered to help me, turns out she was the manager. I commended the two women on how professional, helpful and nice they were to everyone. And the women smiled and thanked me. When I witness great service, I applaud it and want to give credit and thanks for those giving great excellent service. The lovely two women appreciated my positive compliments. I was honored to let them know I noticed and made sure their manager were aware of their efforts. My 5 star review is for that excellent service and the visually tempting bakery treats. I will always recommend excellent genuinely nice service A+

    Bugs in bread

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! (Service and goods) THERE ARE BUGS IN MY BREAD!I I went on Friday and when it was my turn to order, the employee just stared at me and ran to the back although I said "Hi I would like..." and she just left. The next employee came to help me but her service was not better than the first. She processed my order and didn't even ask if I wanted a bag. There are bugs in the bread, and I only noticed after eating most of it.

This is inside Gelsons, and at the end of the checkout counters. We got a hodgepodge of desserts, but my comments are only about the non chocolate ones. We came here as it was one of the few non ice cream spots open on New Years, and they did have a good variety. I tried the tres leche, creme brûlée, and the Apple bar mainly. None of them were bad, but none of them stood out in my mind as being amazing. These are good after a long day of shopping If you want a pick me up. But they're not memorable.

Everyone enjoyed the cake, especially my toddler

As with most Bene bakeries, this bakery offers scones, muffins, breads, and small and large Vienna tortes to take home.

They have "THE" French butter, and yes I went home with $100 worth of butter. No regrets. The workers were quite welcoming, and the prices are NOT overly marked up at all. I was expecting prices to be more expensive than usual, but I was very surprised and delighted to see that it wasn't. Whenever I head to this side of Cali, I'll be sure to stop by here for my treats.

My goal was to get some French butter as I saw they have a huge selection of it. I found so many other items like 3 freezer full of items like pain au chocolaté and croissants made in France. All you have to do is bake it at home. They also have frozen baguettes. I got frozen pastries and I also got some French butter and their selection is massive with different flavors. I typically get this butter at the grove but this place has sooo many varieties. I also picked up Italian flour (to make pizza dough) and canned pizza sauce that they recommended. I picked up some Patata Torres chips as well. Will definitely be back to explore the store more. Definitely worth the visit if you're into cooking and like gourmet foods.

Little Nelly may elicit a Whoa Nelly after your first try…read more I just wrapped up a takeout lunch, snack, and beverage from Little Nelly and felt compelled to work off all the extra calories I just consumed by doing some rapid typing exercise on Yelp. The shop is completely non-descript from the street. The lettering is small and the windows are tinted and you feel like you're about to enter a drab office, but when you open the door, you're treated to a feast for the senses. The space spans a mix of cafe, boutique gift shop, and bodega. Everything feels curated and little discoveries await you for those who are culinary minded. For example, I discovered that they sell frozen burritos from Las Palmas and frozen pizzas from Mozza?! Someone clearly knows their way across the culinary food map of Los Angeles. If you can pry your eyes long enough from wandering the corners of the store, you can finally place your order of breakfast, lunch or coffee/tea. I just took my cold cuts sandwich on house-made ciabatta to the proverbial mattress. The bread had enough structure to handle the piles of quality deli meats, yet was less dense than some other ciabatta breads I've tried. But, it did an admirable job packing in the flavors from the spicy peppers, cheese, meats. Wow. I'm just gonna say that this cold cuts sandwich was one of my top 3 from LA. As I grazed the bakery display, a patron whispered that I should try the biscuit with jam and butter. The guy was wearing Cheetos socks so I immediately felt that his recommendation was trustworthy. I threw in my lot with the biscuit and oh boy, did it (and his recommendation) deliver. Humble looking on the outside, there's a nice salted, buttery crust to the exterior that opens up to an inviting platform to slather on creamy butter and jam. I fully understand why he felt the extra calories were worth it. I'd do it again. Of course, I couldn't order a biscuit without a drink, so I tried their summery limoncello cream iced matcha with oat milk - summers in Kyoto and Sicily combine for a refreshing and satisfyingly creamy bever-"aaage" that adds some pep to your step, even when the mercury pushes past 100. Enjoyed with the biscuit, I was darn near ready to call it a day as I had probably experienced my best moment of the day. Little Nelly is officially on my weekly rotation from here on out.

I don't live in the area, but I have friends who do, and I often swing by when I'm in town because I also get my hair done at Dylan Keith salon nearby. What I love about it: it's a perfect place to pick up a thoughtful gift for the foodie in your life, and the food is consistently fantastic with something new to try each visit. The display and packaging feel special--even the jars add a cute touch. Recent highlights: I went with the Lil Guy sandwich with French ham and a chocolate chip cookie to-go. So good on the drive home to Orange County. I also grabbed a jar of their buttermilk dressing to save time at home, and I brought home a quiche and a biscuit--both were amazing. They rotate items based on what's in season, which keeps things exciting. Why I'll be back: it's a small business that truly cares about quality and presentation. The location is convenient, the staff are friendly, and there are plenty of tasty items to bring home, including make-at-home pizzas and a rotating seasonal lineup. If you're in the area, definitely stop by Little Nelly. It's a delightful spot with great food, thoughtful gifts, and a memorable neighborhood vibe.

I absolutely love this store and everything about how they do business…read more First, they are the only shop around the area that actually goes ALL out with holiday decorations throughout the year, and it is always beautifully done! It brings so much joy to the street every time I pass it and shows how much pride, care, and passion the people here put into what they do. You can tell they genuinely want to create something special, not just inside the store, but for the whole community around them. That's awesome. Second, the food here is phenomenal and actually priced well. It's refreshing to find a place that serves such high-quality food at prices that still feel decently affordable. Their lunch menu is next level just the photos alone will make you drool, and again great prices considering 2026's economy. It is delicious, satisfying, and honestly a better value than many cafes that charge the same or more for food that is nowhere near as good. The ladies who run the shop are also incredibly friendly, warm, and personable. They are always courteous, fun to talk to, and bring such great energy to the space. Every visit feels welcoming and upbeat and I look forward to coming in to grab a huge pack of smoked salmon for $18 and some fresh Russian bread (toasted with butter!) for a few bucks. Perfect lunch and dinner for this guy haha! I sincerely hope this business continues to thrive for many years to come. They deserve it. THANK YOU SEVEN SEAS!!
