Great restaurant and bar to try out. I decided to try Red Table. Located in the Huntington Beach section of Orange County. They serve some delicious food and drinks with some great customer service. Drink: One glass of berry picker with strawberry. Really love the concept of the drink, especially with the orange peel for the feel of the citrus taste. I wonder what the bartenders do with the rest of the oranges... probably eat it or throw it out, just kidding. The taste of the drink was excellent, very refreshing. Food: Ordered an winemaker burger (cooked to medium). I must say it was very juicy. The Cabernet reduction really made the burger taste so good. It's an really good burger to check out. I did ordered Bollywood fries. It was good, no other comments at this time. Service: Service here was amazing. Very knowledgeable bartenders who really know how to job right and by the book. Visited this restaurant because we are tired of going to the same place all the time. Very nice atmosphere. There is inside and outside dining available. I really like the indoor ambiance. Started with a cocktail and boy did we both need one. Friday night is date night so we always need a drink after a long week of work. We ordered a Mai Tai and another craft cocktail. I can't even remember the name but they were both listed under the Rum Craft Cocktail category and they were both delicious. It was not your average, traditional Mai Tai. It had a great flavor and something special in it. My hubby loves French Onion Soup so he started with a bowl of that. Let's just say it was amazing and the waterfall of cheese from the soup spoon to the cup made my mouth water. Even though I did not order it, I had a few bites and wish I did. For the main course, I ordered the shrimp and chicken pasta. It was yummy but needed some crushed red pepper. My husband was torn on what to order but he finally decided, after gawking at the food at table next to us, on the steak sandwich. It was legit! He actually saved half to bring home to our son. He also ordered a side of fries. The meal would have been complete and would have received 5 start but the waiter forgot us. We asked for Tabasco and a side of ranch dressing. Never got them. Would have asked for crushed red pepper but he only came back with the bill. Guess it was a good thing we ate our food anyway instead of waiting for it to get cold and for him to bring the requested items. We will definitely come back but maybe just sit at the bar and try the rest of the craft cocktails! read more

Had my 70th birthday party there recently. Everyone had a great time and loved the food and drinks. Two guests were gluten free which was no problem. Got a birthday surprise dessert served in a massive metal spoon. Service was excellent as it always is when going there. Bar staff knows their stuff. Really relaxing atmosphere. I thought about trying this place until I saw the price for fish tacos for $24 (with no sides). Looks like I need to get that second job!

I honestly want to pull what little hair i have left out when a restaurant can't have enough people on staff . Why are we waiting 10 minutes for a server to show up once seated? The food is good here but I am giving up on this place due to their inability to provide good service. By no means is it cheap, therefore the owners should try to ensure they have enough employees to accommodate the patrons they have. I just read many other reviews and notice that we were not the only customers that feel the food was only mediocre and flavorless (unsalted/unseasoned) We arrived at Red Table on a Saturday evening at 6:45, and we should have known something was amiss when the restaurant was not even 1/4 full. We sat down and the waiter took our drink order. I ordered a cocktail and my husband who was driving just wanted water. My cocktail was fine, but that is were the "fine" ended. We proceeded to order our meals, I ordered a filet mignon, $39, medium rare and my husband ordered a western burger, $19, and fries, $8. The waiter asked, " No appetizers?" We said, "No Thank you." I then asked him if they happened to have Bearnaise Sauce for the steak, and he had no idea what it was, but said he would ask. He never returned with an answer, and it wasn't on the plate when my meal arrived...So I guess it was a , No. When he left the table after taking our order, I caught his eye roll as he walked away. I was a little shocked, but what are you going to do? Our food arrived and we both tried our meals. To say it was completely flavorless would be a HUGE understatement. I asked my husband what he thought, and he concurred that it had absolutely no flavor. We then tried the $8 fries. They were soggy and oily. Do not bother to add them to your meal. A couple of bites into my husband's burger he pulled out a disgustingly undercooked piece of bacon. It looked like it was boiled. As for my filet mignon, it may as well have been a top sirloin for how tough it was, and it was medium, not medium rare. We contemplated saying something, but with the attitude we already got from the waiter and the complete lack of flavor, it would have been fruitless. There is no way that they didn't know the issues they have with their restaurant. We REALLY DO NOT recommend this restaurant. We are now having dessert from another restaurant to get the oily taste out of our mouths. Yuck! read more

Pancakes were really tasty with amazing flavor, the eggs Benedict were really good. The only complaint I have is the potatoes were really bland, but since I am not a huge potato eater, it didn't bother me too much. Food was fresh, service was great. Ambiance is romantic. We love RED TABLE and we come here pretty often... There are so many yummy things on the menu.... Love the deviled eggs, love the bacon wrapped dates. My favorite is the buffalo chicken!!!!! Its different than other places..... The dessert of the Red Velvet cake is so good! You'll love it here... Another great place in the harbour! read more

Lewis My hiking buddy and I had just finished hiking a few miles at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Preserve and we were starving. She wanted breakfast food, and I just wanted to fast forward to lunch. We found Red Table on Yelp, and Yelp never disappoints! My hiking buddy's 3-egg omelette with bell peppers and hash browns looked fantastic and it filled her with happiness. She told me that the flavors were delicious and it all tasted quite fresh! I ordered a Roasted Beets appetizer for us to share. They were hidden under a bed of micro-greens and served with goat cheese. I wish there were a few more beets. It was pretty tasty. My steak sandwich was pretty good. Thin sliced beef made it easy to chew through, and there were a good amount of grilled onions. Provolone cheese and an au jus dip made it even more enjoyable. The service was a bit slow, but I don't begrudge them as they were super busy. Our server was running around like crazy. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed, and the darker furnished interior helped as the morning sun streamed through the windows. We had been here previously with a large group a few years back. I appreciated the service then and the food was great but large groups do not make for the best appraisal of a normal dining setting and service. Last night we went for an anniversary dinner for a family member and I am so appreciative of the folks at Red Table. The staff from the greeter to the server and others they need everything perfect. The drinks from the bar were delightful in presentation and taste. The Red Barn whiskey drink was worthy of a second one. The brussels spout appetizer was done to perfection as was the deviled eggs presented on a perfect platter. They went out of their way with our 8 month old grandson to make him feel a part of the festivities with his own chef prepared hamburger pattie. Some of the food is pretty good, but it's inconsistent. The tomato soup is delicious! The bread is extra. The (not so) Cheap Dates are tasty. The shrimp is good! But not so fried when the sauce is poured on top of it. Irish coffee was honestly the best I've ever had! But $17?? Overall, food is okay, but unfortunately, inconsistent and overpriced. read more

This is an excellent neighborhood restaurant with very great food and great service. We eat here on a regular basis. My kids like it. They have big boobs where you can spread out in a nice atmosphere. That's not too loud with high ceilings. The atmosphere is very fun and cool. The food is delicious. I love their fish tacos Which have an interesting presentation. They have great burgers. My daughter loves their salads especially the steak salad. We love to get there. Tuna OK appetizer on eggplant. Chips. My wife likes their salmon. They have a great wine and beer selection. Nice and friendly ownership. I highly recommend. read more

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. All the food is spot on perfection. Tons of gluten friendly items. You MUST try all the "six before six" items. The artichoke balls, orange chicken, and ahí poke tacos are wonderful. If you're coming for dinner the salmon is perfection. The coconut rice melts in your mouth, and the greens round out your meal. We came to Red Table on 01/14/2020 for late lunch. We came at around 3pm so the restaurant was not busy. I ordered a rice dish with Walnut, Halibut fish, and bok choy for myself. I honestly wasn't impressed with the dish and had almost all meal togo. Today I warmed my leftover to eat and found tons of dirt on the part that close to the root of the bok choy. This is unacceptable! They clearly didn't wash them well. Not to mention the dish was $28. If you are somebody who cook with this kind of veggies (bok choy, celery, etc.), you will be aware of where most of the dirt are. I would have complained if I checked it while I was still in the restaurant. Also, we also order garlic fries and they were soaking wet in oil. Very disappointed! read more

So Red table is a nice place with a inside and patio seating. The staff that is very friendly and always seems to be on que. Whether your sitting at bar or at a table you'll always get great service. Christina is one of my favorites there, I recently celebrated a birthday there and she brought out this huge spoon with a banana dessert on it and it taste so good. They seriously make an effort to make sure the food is spot on. The apps are delish and the weekly specials always get changed up every couple of weeks which is nice. I've been there about a dozen times since September and have always had a great experience with the food, service, cocktails and wine. Although I was bummed when they got rid of Kentucky Tuesday, that was a sad day! Hopefully they bring it back. Love Red Table, this is a unique local place w/ great service and nice ambiance. Should really be a 5 star review but lacks in a couple areas. Good craft beer selection if you like IPA's or light beers but not 1 red or brown on tap? Two local breweries, Flashpoint and Beachwood both have great reds/browns so it would not be difficult to get one. The beet salad was fantastic and is no longer on menu....bummed. The house cab is also not very good. Don't want to wine too much as we love this place and will be back just not quite 5 stars for us yet. read more

We've been dining at this restaurant for many years and I'm sorry to say this might be our last visit. I understand the price of everything has gone up but the food isn't good enough to justify the prices. My kids used to order the sliders off the appetizer menu. Now they have moved the sliders to the regular menu and serve them with fries for $24. If you substitute sweet potato fries the price goes up to $28. For two very small sliders and some fries. To top it off the last two times the burgers were charred beyond well done and were impossible to eat. My husband tried the fish special which was served smothered in a brown gravy with uncooked giant pieces of Brussel sprouts. The meal was a disappointment. read more

I live in the neighborhood of this restaurant. I would not go back to this place if you paid me. The food is mediocre and overpriced. We tried it a few times by eating at the bar. The bartender was not terribly friendly or knowledgeable. There was no sense of urgency at any time. The last straw was the bartender arguing with me about restaurant industry standards. I tried to let it go, but he continued to press his point. Even the other bartender got involved and was insulting The customer is not always right, but the customer is always the customer. Side note: I worked in the industry for over 20 years and am a business owner myself. I would never treat a guest at a restaurant or a client the way I was treated at this establishment. read more

Very good customer service! I was looking for a non-brunch place for my family--party of ten--on Easter. I called one week ahead to check. They confirmed they could accommodate a large group for Easter at 2:00. They also called me the day before to confirm, which I appreciated. They seated us at a large table near the back; I had requested a quiet location b/c we have s few older folks w/ hearing issues. The noise level at our table was fine, despite that it was pretty full. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Large groups are difficult, but orders were quickly taken. They offered everything from breakfast choices to meat entrees. I was so happy to see beef stroganoff on the menu! It's rare that restaurants serve that, and it's one of my favorites. Delicious, generous serving, very meaty and savory. I would ask to omit the dollop of butter on top next time. Sour cream okay, but not butter; that was strange. But I was able to get it off before it all melted into the meal. Everyone was happy with their choices. I will return again for sure! (And remind them to omit the butter on the stroganoff. LOL) A great place, and I love that it's a 10 minute walk for me, too. read more
