Nicolet Glass was amazing to work with from start to finish. The person who came out to do our…read moreestimate was incredibly professional and helpful, and the quote they provided was very reasonable. The installers went above and beyond during the installation -- they were kind, professional, and took the time to explain everything along the way. The new glass in our windows looks phenomenal! I couldn't be happier with the final result. I'll absolutely be using Nicolet Glass again in the future

BEWARE OF NICOLET GLASS!…read more Had a broken outside pane of a double-pane window in an upstairs room replaced by Nicolet Glass. They sent a couple of young kids who replaced the glass. The next winter storm came and water poured through the window like a "water feature!" Flooded the room and the rooms below. When they sent their resident expert out to see what happened, he (Randy) stated unequivocally the window had been installed wrong. Nicolet then sent somebody out to make the repairs to the window. Meanwhile, the homeowner's claim on my insurance, which reached almost $22,000 in repairs was submitted to Nicolet Glass for subrogation. Nicolet owner (Brian Biggs), denied culpability for the damages. That left me with the out of pocket deductible, cost of initial window "repair" and increase in my homeowner's premiums. Under threat of a lawsuit to hold Nicolet Glass responsible, Mr. Biggs paid me back my deductible and a PORTION of the original "repair." I am still left with the increase in my homeowner's insurance and a claim mark against me. They used to have a good reputation here but it seems Mr. Biggs has sold his soul to the Devil. Hire this outfit at your own risk!

Safelite bought out our local glass company Platinum Auto Glass. I have had a dozen windshields…read morereplaced by Platinum, never an issue. For this newest replacement, I picked first thing Friday morning, my day off and chose 7am stressing that I have a lot to do on my one day off. The tech showed up at 8:30 and replaced the windshield. After about an hour I wondered what was up. He said he still needed to recalibrate the cameras but the software they use would not work. After another hour he decided I would need to schedule another appointment to have the calibration done. I picked the next Friday at 7am. I stressed since this was their issue and not mine and that we should get this done at the appointed time because I have a full day of commitments. Once again it is now after 9 and no tech. Not only that, you can't get the local office. You go through a gauntlet of AI voices trying to convince you not to ask for a live person. I would have been better having my local Ram Dealer do the windshield. They are still local and never have a computer answer the phone. If this is the future with AI, there will be a big niche market for anyone offering live customer service, and appointment times that are actually real. It is interesting because now that I complained I was told they are actually loading windshields at 7am. My window of 7 to 11 is really much smaller. It is now 10:24 and he just called to be here in about 10 minutes. So the completion time will be by noon. Probably because I posted this review:/ James arrived to do the recalibration. He used to work for the old company. They give him a list of these types of things to do so he knows every customer is mad before he gets there. I can see it is not his fault. It is a big Corp taking over a small local company and squeezing every dime out of it while offering lousy customer service. I hope James is picked up by a company that would appreciate his kind attitude despite the challenges his Corp employer puts on him. James just let me know that Safelite is unable to connect to my Ram, again, to program the Cameras attached to the new windshield. I will have to go to the dealer. I hope he gets a job that he where he is appreciated! This programming was part of the $1000 I paid for the new windshield. I would recommend you look elsewhere for a windshield replacement.

Let me share you my story…read more We were on a road trip from the SF Bay Area to Seattle and back. That's about 2000 miles (probably more including the side trips). Needless to say, I had our diesel BMW X5 checked before leaving the Bay Area. When we got to Redding, CA, the dreaded check engine light (CEL) came on. So, we were frantic not knowing what was wrong with our car. Also, we had no idea what shop to go to. Can we find somebody knowledgeable and with the right equipment to work on a diesel X5? Can we find somebody honest enough who'll tell us exactly what's wrong and not charge us an arm and a leg? The universe must have been on our side because we found Steven, the manager (or owner) of Angelo's Classic Import. With Steven, all our fears were gone. They have a very updated shop with all the equipment needed to diagnose our car's problems. We found a very honest person in Steven who charged us honestly. (Turned out the issue was minor and he charged us only $20!) How I wish his shop is in the Bay Area because I would drive the whole length of the Bay Area just to have the privilege of me becoming his client for life! Try his shop and I'm sure you'll experience the same type of excellent Customer Service as I did! Thank you Steven for your service!
