Food: 4/5 - Portions were tasty. Tons of options. I haven't tried all yet but the 4 I have tried were all good. There are dozens of meal types. Some are healthy but not all. Service: 1/5 - A serious issue on my last visit: I asked the guy working there if they had any categorization for Gout friendly dishes in which he replied, "Are you a heavy drinker?" (WTF!) I'm wondering if he learned that technique in the customer service manual? While we were in the store for the first time trying to figure out what to get, the person working there was having a meeting on the phone behind the counter. As a result we received no orientation. That doesn't help us to decide to start ordering meals for the whole week. Downgrading service. These issues put me in the "Likely to not return" category. Cleanliness: 5/5 - The place is new so this is expected. Ambiance: 3/5 - Lots of refrigerators where you can see all the meals. They all have clear packaging on the front so you can actually see the food. Nice layout. About 40% of the refrigerators were not in use at this point. There is no eating in this place. It's just pick up. They did have a microwave so if you wanted to grab a meal, heat it up and take it to go you could. Value: 2/5 - The meals are about $10 each. And the portion size is a bit skimpy. I think it's cheaper if you by the weekly packs of 10 or 20. I was mildly unsatisfied with the portion size and found myself looking for a snack shortly after dinner. The tray size is good, but it should be filled more. Parking: 4/5 - Small lot in front of the store should be okay for most of the time. It's not a busy shopping area. There's also a free lot a block away as well as street parking. Overall: 2/5 - On the last visit offensive service made me drop my review by two stars. I've experienced consistent service problems. The food is good and some options feel healthy but not all. It would be ideal if they put a little more food in the package. Because of the latest incident in the store, I'm not likely to repeat business here. This is a shame because my wife and I were looking for a place to order meals on a weekly basis for easy dinners after work.

I recently visited the Jericho Turnpike Huntington store and picked up a meal that was clearly…read morelabeled as $7.77. However, at checkout, I was told the price was $9.89. When I brought this to the assistant's attention, she called her supervisor and explained that the label had not been updated to reflect the new price. While I understand pricing errors can happen, good customer service would have been to honor the clearly marked price and correct future labels--not insist I pay more than what was advertised. Instead, I was told I had to pay the higher price. It left me questioning the store's pricing practices. This isn't the first disappointing experience. On another occasion, the same assistant refused to let me return a meal I had just purchased--despite the fact that I hadn't even left the store and only wanted to exchange it because my daughter changed her mind. Additionally, I've noticed that the portion sizes of the meals have been shrinking noticeably over the past year. Overall, I'm becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the service and value at this location.

My husband loved his steak taco and the Long Island panini, I had a Salmon with rice- (salmon was extremely dry) and Barbecue beef ( also dry). Both tasted good, but I shouldn't have to chew any food that long. I received a refund for the meals that were inedible. They asked for pictures to check the "batches" in case there was a production issue. They seem to actually care about the Customer and their product, a rarity now a days. My client is diabetic so ordering and reordering is easy thanks to this. There is a fair range of selections of entrees in the way of protein and vegetable sides. The meal portions are maybe slightly bigger than a lean cuisine so it may not be for everyone as those portions can be a bit meager. I had one of the meals that my client didn't want - pork tenderloin, carrots, and string beans. I heated it in the oven as recommended and the pork was not bad, nor were the beans. They went a bit heavy on the carrots though. This is only one meal of many however and my client overall has a favorable opinion of them, his favorite being the "American glazed meatloaf" Top Chef has come through in a big way for me with delivering about 2 weeks worth of meals for my client that come about three days after ordering it (If it isn't before the weekend). With the rising popularity of heat and eat and fast prep meal kits, like Hello Fresh, Blue Apron and more this is great for elderly, disabled or otherwise, perhaps people who have next to no time to cook. with a nice selection, good packaging, quick delivery and even a senior discount I'm very satisfied with Top Chef Meals.
