Santa was taking pictures with people and while the parking lot was a traffic jam the weekend before Christmas, there are plenty of restaurants in and around the mall to relax and unwind when you need a break. Some of the larger anchor stores I think are still empty but the few that were left were well staffed and seemed to thrive. It's our local mall and although I'm not a fan of shopping, Walt Whitman does a fine job of keeping its building nicely decorated and clean.

The soon dubu was not spicy and had too much of a sesame oil flavor and the ddukbokki was sweet with no spiciness at all. I think if you are non Korean, the seasoning was good and the food flavorful, just not the flavors we were expecting. Also, although the menu makes it seem like you have to pay for the banchan (appetizers), we did not, it came with the staple kimchee, and a couple other dishes. Not sure why they had prices on the menu unless they charge for refills? They also gave us this yummy ice cream bite for dessert which is usually unheard of in Korean restaurants. Having said all this, I do want to recommend this place, it was a nice local restaurant to get some Asian dishes with a great waitstaff.

Parking is pretty easy to find when you are looking at spots all the way in the back and farthest from the mall. Then when you're close to the mall, the cars be fighting for spots. Sucks. This mall however still has most of their stores open and crowded and there's a decent amount of foot traffic. There's also a good amount of food options around. Mall was also clean.
