While JJ wasn't the lowest, they were the most comprehensive. For example, all of the other quotes quoted the shingles and work, but JJ Construction quoted shingles, tiles, gutters, and all hardware (new fans/vents/gutters). They are highly skilled. They did not rush the project (who wants a roofer who rushes?) and cleaned up every day. Communication was excellent. They installed Class 4 shingles, which lowered my home owners insurance by 20%. The work quality was top notch. I was highly impressed by JJ Construction and I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you Matt, for a great job.

It looks like they used leftover shingles from a previous job instead of purchasing new ones that matched. My main issue was a leaking valley and a leaking bedroom ceiling. They "repaired" it very poorly, despite charging me $4,050. I wouldn't be surprised if it starts leaking again soon, considering the exposed nails and misplaced shingles. ( they did come to lay the shingles better by leaving EXPOSED nails which will soon cause a leak and didnt want to change the shingles to color match ) I also paid them $500 to seal my roof hatch, which I understood was a temporary fix--but that repair didn't even last a month before leaking again. When I called them, they quoted me $1,500 to remove the hatch and said they would credit the $550 toward that job. Two weeks later, I followed up by email, and the price suddenly jumped to $3,500. Their final email said, "You want to play games--let's go!" What does that even mean? Is he threatening to come to my home and start a fight? I'm reporting this message to the police in case they attempt anything. Do not trust this company. - they quote you using a drone without actually getting up and doing a better job finding the problem

While that project was underway, CRS failed to adequately protect the exposed areas of the roof, resulting in substantial water damage throughout the whole building, to the tune of $600k in damage. We had a roof inspector prepare a report to prove the negligence, and nothing...NOT ONE THING...was done according to the standards of the National Roofing Contractors Association. The original sellers who promised to fix the roof leak used a general roofer who "fixed" the roof. Couple month later, we found mold and active leaks. Todco stood out with quick responses, cheapest quote, and great communication. Although they're under new management, the same experienced crew is still there. Paul, the foreman, explained everything clearly and did excellent work. They fixed the issue in three days and I've already booked them for more repairs. If you have a tile roof, I highly recommend Todco--they know their stuff and do it right. Long Version Todco doesn't have any recent comprehensive review, so I am going to chime in a long version. We recently moved into a historic district, where our 1920s home still has its original clay tile roof. When we bought the house, we noticed water damage in our master closet and asked the sellers to have the roof repaired. Unfortunately, they used a crappy general roofer who clearly had no experience with tile roofs. We thought the issue was resolved--our first big mistake. Three months later, we finally had a closet company come to fix our master closet. When they removed the damaged closet, we discovered a wet ceiling and significant mold growth. After some heavy rain, water was literally dripping from the ceiling. I reached out to the original roofer, who shrugged it off and said, "Tile roofs are tricky. You can't really find the leaks. You fix what looks broken--you just need a whole new roof." That didn't sit right with me, so I turned to our neighborhood group and learned that tile roofs require specialists. I contacted three companies recommended by neighbors, including Todco. Every single one gave me the same answer: I didn't need a new roof. The issue was likely due to poor flashing around the chimney and improperly installed tiles. Basically, the seller's roofer didn't fix anything and had no idea what he was doing. Many neighbors vouched for Todco, so I reached out. Haris responded quickly and was incredibly personable. He made me feel like fixing our roof was a top priority. He sent an estimator out right away, and their quote was the cheapest of the three. All the glowing neighborhood reviews were about the owner, Todd but I found out Haris is the new owner/manager (not sure which but was informed Todd has taken a step back but still involved). I couldn't find any reviews about the new management and everyone I reached out to was with prior management. I was hesitant to sign, so I reached out to a neighbor, who contacted Todd for me. I even texted Todd directly. Shortly after, Haris called me to explain the transition and assured me the same experienced crew--Paul and Candelario--was still with them. That gave me the confidence to move forward. And I'm so glad I did. Paul, the foreman, was fantastic. He showed me the poor design of the flashing and the patch that gave out in the flashing. He walked me through the improvements they'd be making, and how the new flashing design was much more effective. The crew worked hard, kept me updated throughout the process, and completed the job in three days. They replaced the chimney flashing, installed new ice and rain shields, and re-tiled the affected area with care and precision. The work was excellent, and the crew was a pleasure to have around. Haris continued to follow up and support us throughout the process. I was so impressed that I've already booked Todco for a second job--to replace broken tiles elsewhere on the roof. I highly recommend Todco. They know tile roofs, and they take pride in doing things the right way. If you have a home with a roof, these are the people to call.

Todco recently repaired the slate roof on my 100 year old house in Evanston. Several random…read moreshingles were out of place and crooked. New copper flashing needed to be installed around the chimney. Paul from Todco repaired it all. He also painted some wood trim on the roof that could only be reached by hooking a ladder over the slates, in a place a normal painter could not reach without stepping on and probably breaking slates. Paul was the foreman on this job. I can't say more about how lucky I was to have Paul work for me. He searched for slates which needed to be repaired and repaired them all beautifully. He took the time to explain what needed to be done and what was not needed to be done and WHY. When I need roofing repairs done again in the future, I would hire Todco again in an instant. True professionals. And of course their cost was very reasonable and per their original quote. Thank you Todco, Mike D.

He would not have been hired had he said at any point that he cannot and does not know how to do flat roofs. At no point did he state that he was only putting shingles on the flat roof, nor that he would in anyway handle it differently. Further, nothing on the contract says such. He claimed "it does not say entire roof". When a partial refund was requested, he said he would wait till he's served-- boasting that a lawsuit will take a year. A few days after they finished with the roof, he was called back because something was visibly wrong with the back part. He admitted that they could have done a better job, and had them come back out to supposedly fix it. Never again! In May 2025, I hired CRC to replace a detached garage roof. They were responsive and…read morecame out to quote the project, and I essentially went with a full replacement. My garage rooftop deck is finished with Trex decking so part of the agreement was to remove the decking and reinstall it - as is - post roof replacement. They came out on schedule and removed the Trex and replaced the floor boards where needed - per our agreement they were also suppose to replace the liner but they didn't. No big deal - they replaced half of it that was sitting over the damaged wooden floor boards. Once the roof was replaced, I pushed them to complete a water test - I basically brought a hose up there and ran water to see how it would drain. The drainage was ok not great as you could see small shallow pools of water. When asked, they said it how the roof pitch is setup - so fine we move on. Once the roof is done, they start to install the deck. About 80% of the way through, I happen to do a quick check and notice the deck is clicking. Apparently, they did not purchase enough Trex clips that secure the boards to the sub frame. So they agree to purchase more and install them. The right way to do this would be to remove the deck boards and start over but they removed a few boards and slid the clips in and drilled the screws down. Here is where it all went wrong. They screw heads started to chip and break the edges of the Trex decking. You think with the owner standing there he would have told them to stop but they kept going and ruined my Trex decking. Zero quality control or management from the owners who are there to push their crew to complete the job fast and move onto the next one. Not only did the ruin it, they installed the deck boards at an angle so the deck isn't even straight. They agreed to find a solution and come back to repair - and even took a small piece with them to match colors. Months go by and I keep hearing excuse after excuse. I sent multiple emails to the owner and exchanged texts (all of which I have in my records). All I received in return were promises to touch base and then once winter came, we decided to push the repairs to spring 2026. So May rolls around and I started corresponding with the owner (Adam) - who doesn't even care to respond but has his father (Richard) who is involved with the business return phone calls (have voicemails to back this up). He tells me that he will add me to his schdue on a Saturday / so Sat rolls around and I don't hear a word. I chase them and wait around all day. No show and no phone calls. I call them on the following Monday and ask them to fix this issue but no response. I sent them an email asking them to call to sort this out and no response. I would AVIOD them at all costs / they will damage your property and not resolve it. Seems like they will say anything to get the business. If you lucky enough where damage didn't occur then great. They also offer a warranty - given this experience, I don't expect them to honor it irrespective of I have it in a written document. Super disappointed. I was quite patient and understanding but they took advantage of my flexibility. Additionally, they will ask you to pay with Zelle / cash.
