We sat on the patio on a Thursday in July. We arrived at 4:30, there were lots of open tables and we were quickly sat. Patio is beautiful! Three tables were sat after were us, they all had drinks before anyone ever stopped by out table. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. We never received our appetizer. I ordered the rice with vegetables and added the steak. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it was definitely medium or medium well, there was not even pink in the middle. I wanted to say something to the server, but she never stopped back until we were about done eating. I also wanted a second margarita, but again, she did not stop by until we were about done eating. Still hands down my favorite go-to place. Anytime I want a solid, standard, safe warm inviting place to eat its red hawk. As patio season is definitely over for this year the dining room is closed for a private event so we sat in the bar which again was no big deal we actually prefer sitting in the bar. We sat in a booth and because we go there so much we're familiar with most of the servers. Last night was kind of neat because they have a virtual reality DJ of sorts. I suppose in the old days you would go to a bar for karaoke night but this is a new version of that. It doesn't cost the patrons anything The bar pays for this virtual-reality reality guy to come in. So that was something cool to keep the kids occupied well my wife and I were able to sit down and enjoy a bottle of wine. Last night my wife ordered the scallops off of the specials menu which there's always something new and interesting on there. My son got The Big Burrito oh, my daughter got her standard salad with chicken on it she's not very adventurous and I got my standard which is the Buffalo chicken salad. I forgot to ask to get the chicken grilled instead of fried but I did not complain because it was almost a tempura fried chicken. Really good. As usual Redhawk with the vegetable of the night was something my son doesn't like however they always keep some broccoli in the freezer for him as the kid inhales broccoli. For that I am forever grateful. We got to watch a little football in the TVs, got to do some virtual reality, had a nice relatively quiet dinner with a bottle of wine the food was great my wife was about licking her plate, it was perfect. Everything was perfect and I can't say this enough but I would encourage you guys to go to Redhawk have a good meal enjoying a drink with friends and maybe do a little virtual zombie killing on Thursday nights. read more

I am a big fish and chips girl always willing to try new places. I somewhat live in the area for some time now and decided to try it here at Redhawk Grille, Concord Ohio. I called in the order for pick up and expected at least two decent size pieces of fish with fries for the price. I get home to find I received 1 piece of fish with fries. I totally regret paying for the dinner due to the amount served to me. Who would order fish and fried for 15$ to expect one piece of fish? I called to vent/express my feelings hoping at least a gift card for future or something and never got even a sincere apology. The individual who answered acted as if I was bothering them with my opinion. I am not one to complain but the fact my complaint, legit as it was was not even acknowledged was much disappointing. This place was crazy busy and short-handed tonight. Not too many places are open Mondays outside of the city. Anyway, our waitress was frazzled but friendly and always smiling. The service wasn't perfect but the food was excellent. I had the Fillet Mignon and among our party we had the Jambalaya, Pork Chop, and the Summer Salad. Everyone left full and satisfied. This place is 5 star all the way around! The patio is amazing! The biggest patio I've ever been to. There is a small pond with a waterfall, palm trees and a fireplace. So beautiful! The Victoria's Secret drink is delish! I had the taco salad as a special one evening and recently had the Jenny's Chinese chicken salad. I highly recommend! This location is great in the summer, due to it's expansive patio, but it is mediocre in the winter. In the summer, you can enjoy outdoor bocce, music and two bars. In the winter, you can enjoy the lackluster indoor dining spaces. The outdoor space is the best feature of this restaurant. Aside from that, everything else is average. I've stopped coming here for food altogether. When I visit this establishment, it's only in the summer when I can enjoy the patio and two bar stations. The menu seems to be an attempt to offer the guest a gastropub feel -- with their protein entrees reaching up to $29. I can't help but discredit their culinary efforts when I see completely different cuisines on the same menu. I'd like the restaurant to stick to "Grille-type" foods instead of reaching into all these different styles. Examples to highlight the juxtaposition: -- Chili Glazed Salmon and "Mattloaf" Melt -- Redhawk Ribeye and Pot Stickers -- Stuffed Hungarian Hots and New Orleans Jambalaya Aside from the disjointed menu, I have to say I'm disappointed even with the simplest of dishes when I go here. I've ordered the Chipotle Chicken Crunch on three separate occasion, hoping that my meal would be better. (Everyone deserves a few tries). But every time I ordered it, the chicken was underdone/raw -- unacceptable . Feel confident Red Hawk knows how to manage a big party. Last night I had a party of 27. The Red Hawk's staff was incredible!!! Several different checks, one server. She got everyone drinks quickly & accurately. She proceeded to bring out everyone's dinner around the same time- and each dish was fresh, hot and delicious! This party was smooth as glass! They took the cake from us and brought it out at the appropriate moment. No one was ever waiting for a drink. Even the ending was flawless, as she brought out the checks all around the same time and with zero errors. I am sorely disappointed. First let me say our waitress was awesome! Our visit started with a terrible sangria that we sent back. The appetizers were great as well. The main meal was horrible. The mashed potatoes were cold and gummy. The langoustine shrimp sauce had no flavor, although the steaks were cooked the way we ordered them. The squash was mushy and cold, the feta and dill was quite incongruent. After we paid for our full meal ,218.00, I spoke with a manager and quite honestly he could have cared less and told me " the sauce is hit or miss" I told him then maybe they shouldn't serve it. This morning I made a reservation online for new year's eve. According to online reservations they had availability. I made the reservation for 7 pm and I got the link to confirm the reservation. I confirmed that I would be there through the link. 4 hours later I received a call to tell me that they forgot to turnoff online reservations and that I really didn't have a reservation. I could come and take my chance to see if I could get a table. I told the person who I talked to that I expect a call from the manager, to discuss this. This was our first visit & a very good experience! We arrived on a beautiful Sunday evening so decided to take advantage of the patio. The patio was about 2/3 full. The hostess accommodated our request to be seated next to the koi pond. I'm probably showing my age but I really liked that, from where we were sitting, the background music was just that - BACKGROUND music! We could actually enjoy dinner conversation! Our server promptly greeted us, was pleasant, took our drink orders, & quickly returned with our beverages. Dinner orders were taken then served within a reasonable time with no issues and several follow-ups to check on us. I had the jambalaya which was very good. Onion soup is one of the best in the area! For the apps we tried the Hawk Provolone and spinach artichoke dip. Both were very good. Hawk Provolone brings a upgrade taste to the standard mozzarella cheese sticks, little expensive for the two pieces but worth trying once. Spinach Artichoke dip provided enough for four people and worth the price. Minute Cristo and Pulled and Piled Chicken Sammy were excellent dinner choices as well. Table service was great, only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to the carry out service that we occasionally use. Came in to pay for food, barely say two words and don't even tell you if it's ready, you need to find it on their carry out table. I don't know what's happened to this place. We've been here dozens of times. The food used to be really good. However, recently it seems like they can't make anything right. The jambalaya was my favorite for years but the last few times I've ordered it, it was dry and near flavorless. Missing that tomatoey base flavor that the jambalaya always had before. A few weeks ago I tried the jambalaya again. This time it was served to me cold, had no broth at all and to top it off the rice was seriously undercooked. It was actually crunchy. I sent it back. The manager was a bit aloof but said they'd make it again. Instead, what I got back was the same undercooked rice mess with fresh broth poured over it. I sent it back again. Manager Aloof took it off our bill and I did not eat that night. Two weeks ago I ordered the Pierogi dinner. I requested it without the sweet maple glaze as I am diabetic. You guessed it. It came glazed and cold as a bonus. I sent it back and again did not eat that night. Then this past week I tried the Chicken Parmesan. The plank of chicken was a tough, stringy, overcooked and inedible. Not good... I tried a few bites and then just ate the pasta it came with being tired of going away hungry from this place. We come here in the summer to sit outside, and really enjoy the atmosphere and their menu of sandwiches and such. That apparently is the extent of the attraction to this place. We stopped in for my birthday because quite frankly it is close to home and we didn't feel like driving a long distance. I ordered a Caesar salad and a ribeye steak done medium rare. My wife ordered a house salad with ranch dressing and chicken marsala. I'm not sure what the salad dressing was on my salad, but it definitely wasn't traditional Caesar. The ribeye I ordered was the thinnest steak I have ever had the displeasure to eat. It appeared to be medium rare as I had ordered, however it was dry and tasteless to say the least. The Yukon Gold potatoes that accompanied the steak were merely okay, as they were drenched in garlic and butter. My wife barely touched her chicken, as she found it bland and tasteless. The Red Hawk is a great place for bar food, but pass it by if you're looking for more substantial fare. read more

We sat at the bar, not ideal with kids. The movie they had playing had some nudity which is not what you want around kids. We have been going to Red Hawk for many years , over the past two years the service and the attitude of the bartenders is deplorable . I've contacted the manager twice with meager apologies . The food is mediocre , the atmosphere is nice , the service is horrible . We have given Red Hawk many opportunities have tried to talk to management and after today , we will take our business elsewhere . So angry. Did a reservation on Open Table and specified outside. Got there and the grouchy host on Friday night said you needed to say outside. Said I did. Then oh reservations are for only inside. You had my information you couldn't have let me know? Sorry it will be an hour. We get drinks and I take my beer back as it is flat. Was told no it isn't all the draft is the same. This beer is flat! Well let me top it off. Then the grouchy host NEVER put my # in for our table and he said oh something is wrong I will call you. That didn't work either because he found me to show us to our table.
