The restaurant is a little more expensive than average, however; it is worth it due to the wonderful service, views, live music (we went on a Friday), and tasty food! UPDATE: spoke to the manager and she took half off our bill. Appreciated gesture, but still would never dine here again. Original review: The view is nice, that's where it ends. We paid $300 for 6 people, 2 being young kids with small appetites. I wish I had taken photos of the food. From the moment the dishes were served, you could tell immediately that many items were going to be really bad, almost inedible. First, the salads were served with moldy tomatoes. Black mold, mushy tomatoes! On 2 different plates! Someone in the kitchen sliced these tomatoes in half, and somehow thought they would be ok to serve. The mac and cheese, that were an up-charge of $4 with the entrees, were pale and unseasoned. We would've been happier with Kraft, which is not even allowed in our household. The mashed potatoes literally looked and tasted like they took a boiled russet potato, smashed it with a fork, and served it on your platter. It needed seasoning, cream, and butter. The proteins (we tried the chicken, steak, salmon, and halibut) were all under seasoned and over cooked. I would never dine here again, and certainly would never recommend anyone dining here. Beautiful restaurant with absolutely gorgeous views. We sat out on the upper patio with fire tables in early October and it was such a perfect night. There was a small live band playing, hanging lights, fire tables for warmth, great service, and of course the unmatched view. We both got burgers that were incredible, they also have great sauces including spicy ketchup, haha. I realized that this place had Happy Hour (Tuesdays-Thursdays from 4-6PM) while walking the Canyon Rim. Maybe the endorphins from exercising made the place look amazing but what caught my attention was bottomless mimosas for $20, which ironically I did not try. First impressions walking in was that the interior looks nicer than I was prepared to see. It has such an air of clean luxury that I actually felt a little underdressed. I don't want to say "bougie", but that's the vibe it was giving me. There are many paintings and beautifully large images of local scenic spots that are aesthetically pleasing. The space was kept clean. The music choice in the space is eclectic, something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Chris was really nice and kind. I was a little overwhelmed with how many options were on the menu (and how many menus there were), as well as the prices of those items. With Redhawk being located in the same building as Canyon Crest Event Center, I was not that surprised at how everything was priced. I ended up ordering: 1 drink and 1 appetizer (Canyon Rim Mai Tai and Sous Vide Wings) since the price for food was out of my budget. The Canyon Rim Mai Tai had good flavor, very citrusy and refreshing. For $7, I thought it was a fair price. It looked really pretty, too. The Sous Vide Wings (Korean BBQ glaze) were mediocre at best. It took a while for it to get to the table. The flavor was okay and it seemed like regular wings, not necessarily sous vide. I thought it was overpriced at $14 for 6 pieces which didn't really have a PUNCH of Korean BBQ flavor that I was looking for. It was seasoned, it just lacked a depth of flavor~ something was missing. I might have a bias though, since I have experienced eating really good Korean food. I think that what makes the place great: the view on the Canyon Rim. It was really pretty to see ~ however, of course, that is independent of Redhawk. Would I try it again? Maybe. Would I recommend it to my friends? Not really. read more

Have you ever had one of those days when you just KNOW that God is laying blessings in your path? This restaurant was the ending to a God-filled blessing day. We spent the day traveling through some of the most heavenly mountains I have ever seen, and it was once again my assignment to find our dinner spot. I found Redhawk on Yelp and although we are not usually reservation people, it was early enough in the day to try it out. Plus, the promise of being above the canyon and river was super exciting. The restaurant is just stunning with super high ceilings and an upscale luxury log cabin feel. Our server was SUPER and not at all stuffy. THE FOOD. Robert Irvine says good food should make you dance. This food made us want to cry IN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WAY. You MUST try the baked cheese appetizer! Just do it....trust me! I had the halibut and hubby had a steak. Although we were so stuffed we nearly called in the forklift to get us to the hotel, we had to try the cobbler. Make sure you don't skip dessert. Tasted like they had been microwaved in a plastic bag. I was finishing my meal and another patron sat down at the bar, a good 30 minutes before closing time. Someone came out of the kitchen to bitch about having to serve another customer, right in front of the customer. At the same time servers started to loudly put chairs on top of tables. Super awkward. This was my first visit to Twin Falls and the canyon area, and after a day of hiking around, we decided to grab something to eat here. I'm delighted to say that my first impression visually of this restaurant was accurate, and that the food was even better than I thought it would be. We were lucky enough to get Wesley as our bartender and server and he was fantastic. He made accurate drink selections and was attentive to the table without being annoying he is 50% of the reason why I give this restaurant five stars. We started with drinks, and they have a very nice selection of beers, wines and mixed drinks. After struggling for a bit, I settled on the cucumber gimlet, and if I hadn't have had to drive back 100 miles, I could've very easily spent the day drinking these. It was so good. If you'd like cucumber, this is your new favorite! we ordered the Gouda mac & cheese bites because they were on the happy hour menu, and I have to say that I've never had them before, but I will always eat them again! They were well cooked and the sauces were clearly not something out of a bottle. There may have been a little fighting over the last one in the basket! as my entrée, I had the arugula salad with salmon, and the salmon was well cooked. Just the right amount of seasoning and not overcooked. The arugula was fresh, and the only complaint I might have is that they could have given a larger serving of dressing. but I'm sure that had. I asked for it they would've been happy to provide it. I just feel guilty asking! My companion had the classic burger and said that it was very good. Their dessert menu looked fantastic, but we were too full to try anything so I cannot comment on that portion of the menu. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who finds themselves exploring the canyon area. Well, it was my first time here and I will not rush to come back. Sadly, my experience was a disappointment and I'm very let down by that. This review is going to be brutally honest. To start: we ordered the soft pretzel and the Korean BBQ wings. The soft pretzel was fine, nothing special. The Korean BBQ wings were just sad. The flavor was funky and even the smell was off putting. We had 2 wings and had the bartender throw out the remaining wings. Dinner: I ordered the filet and my husband ordered the steak frites. My filet came out medium rare when ordered medium. No detectable salt or seasoning on the steak. When it came back from the kitchen, after it wasn't cooked all of the way, I couldn't eat it. Just lacking flavor, I can tell it's a choice steak vs prime. I didn't eat any of it past the bite that I unfortunately spit out. The manger Cee did take my steak off of our bill. The manager Cee was great, she tried to make everything right and she was also very kind. The steak frites, my husband didn't provide ample feedback but he said it was "good." Except he barely ate it, which tells me that he wasn't 100% a fan but didn't want to complain. I also ordered a side of the 4 cheese Mac. Come on guys, this was really a poor excuse. There is a clear problem in the kitchen with their willingness to use SALT. The Mac was flavorless and nothing special, I didn't eat that either. After the failed steak and mac, I ordered fried pickles to eat because I didn't want to try anything else on the menu. Fried pickles were, well they're fried pickles. We sat at the bar this entire time. I ordered cocktails. With using the restaurant prepared ingredients to make the drinks, I wasn't impressed with the cocktails. Someone needs to revamp the recipes. One drink that I had "on a boat that day" was TERRIBLE. Honestly, this place is newer and if it wants to stand a chance at surviving, they're going to need to seriously fix the food/cocktail problems. I'm not trying to be rude but I expected way more than this. Inside it's beautiful and the view is beautiful. Our bartenders were Anya (who is new) and Ally. They were very kind, apologized for the multitude of problems and tried to make it right at every point. IF (and its a big If) I were to come back, it would only be because of Anya, Ally and the manager Cee. This place could be SO much more than it is. This town is lacking in places of this type and if they can get the food and drinks to where they need to be, this restaurant could take over. Sadly, for now it's a miss for me and again, that's really disappointing. I hope the owners read this review and take things into account and make the necessary changes. read more

We were driving thru Twin Falls on our way to British Columbia and stopped here for dinner. Our stop began with the nice surprise of RV parking right at the restaurant. We took a walk on the paved pathway just behind the place with incredible views of the gorge, bridge, and multiple waterfalls. It was very pretty. We then enjoyed the gorge view from the restaurant patio seating. Our server, Kali, provided excellent service. A great beer and craft cocktail menu fully met our beverage needs. We had nachos that were pretty good, but not great. Then we shared the calamari steak special. It came with a delicious coconut curry soup that I highly recommend. I'm pretty sure we must've gone to a completely different Redhawk Gastropub as we certainly didn't experience 5 stars as most reviews are..only half that at 2.5, but I'll be kind with the 3. They did a fairly nice job at the remodel, but the chairs are rather uncomfortable and while the pendant lights are nice, they are filthy and there is clearly no easy way to clean them. Service was slow on a Saturday early evening. It was too hot to dine outside with triple digits. Steak frites...steak suffered from too much flare up on the grill and tasted of carbon, fries were undercooked and limp...a complete fail. Ketchup is weird...sweet horseradishy heat. Shepherd Pie, which is actually Cottage Pie, had decent flavor but the potatoes were overworked and gluey. Hamburger was mushy...not a fan of the grind. Chicken tenders were somewhat successful, but not really tenders. Perhaps we ordered poorly, but I've been to many gastropubs here and abroad...this, in my book, doesn't meet that standard especially at their prices. For a meal on canyon's edge, I prefer Elevation. read more

Being the first time I've been I've only given 4 stars because I've literally had one thing off the menu. I had the steak sandwich and it was amazing! Literally a whole steak on a French roll. Cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The views from out on the back patio are amazing of the golf course down in the gorge and the snake River. Highly recommend checking it out.
