The people of Reston love Red's Table so I had to give it a try. We went on a Saturday night and they only had bar seating available, so definitely make a reservation. For dinner, I got the Chesapeake Bay crab bisque which was creamy and delicious. I also got an order of mussels that I haven't stopped thinking about. The white wine sauce they were cooked in, I could drink. The portion size was great, I got a lot of mussels. It was very good, next time I want to sit on the patio and look over the lake.

Stunning lake side view at the patio. Requested for one after making a reservation the day before and managed to snag a nice lakeside seating for a Saturday evening. The wait in between food was a bit long but other than that, everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious and I've been meaning to try out this spot after moving to the area. So glad that I did!

We are regulars at Red's Table, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked every time. For appetizers, we've tried the clam chowder, bang bang shrimp, and crab dip. Each one has been excellent. Our go-to entrée is the market steak with Brussels sprouts and potatoes, and honestly, we've never had a better steak dinner anywhere. We've traveled quite a bit in search of the best, and Red's Table wins--1000%. We've also had the Cobb salad (amazing), chicken sandwich, and burger, and there hasn't been a single dish we didn't enjoy. Everything comes out on time, cooked just right, and we always leave completely satisfied. The service is just as impressive as the food. The entire staff is polite, welcoming, and attentive. Meridith, who has been our server multiple times, is incredible!!! She even remembers our order from memory, which makes every visit feel personal. The atmosphere is another highlight. The back patio is absolutely gorgeous with views overlooking the lake, and there's also a side patio that offers a really nice view as well. We genuinely look forward to our biweekly dinners here. And one more thing, the coconut brown ale is outstanding, easily the best beer in town!! I'd recommend calling ahead to make sure the patio is open and available, as it tends to book up quickly. All in all, if you haven't been to Red's Table yet, you are making a big mistake.

A modern lakefront restaurant nestled in a busy shopping area. It's officially fall so the fall foliage is in full Autumn mode. This restaurant was massive in size. I noted that it had 3 separate dinning areas, an indoor, outdoor and indoor patio area and the architect designed all areas around the view of the lake so no matter where you were sat, even at the bar, you still had a great view of the lake. The staff was extremely nice and gave helpful recommendations on what to order .8 ended up ordering an espresso martini, shrimp saffron pasta and a brownie Sunday. The espresso martini was made using heated milk, espresso, cinnamon and other natural ingredients with a shot of their smooth house vodka native to Virginia. The shrimp saffron pasta was delicious, smooth, creamy saffron sauce with squash, sliced olives, Parmesan and some spinach. It gave a bold, eastern Italian taste that I thought wouldn't get unless I returned to Italy. The brownie was very decadent, homemade ice cream. It was more of a cake like brownie but still had that flaky top. Classic!! I met the owner while dinning as he noticed how appreciative I was was with every bite I took of the pasta and so he walked over and had a chat with me around the pasta item. It was neat hearing how he had come up with the idea! Parking: free and plenty all around the lot that is located right outside of the establishment.

My mom and I came for lunch. The food was AMAZING! Hot and flavorful. We are inside but the outside was beautiful. The drinks were iykyk. Will definitely be back for lunch and to try the brunch. The ladies were super nice too!

It was our first time at Red's Table. We discovered it by searching for "dog-friendly outdoor patios" here on Yelp. I was so excited to see a restaurant on the water! We made a reservation, but I decided to call since we were bringing a dog-to make sure we got a good table. Luckily I did, because the woman who answered the phone was surprised. She mentioned that sometimes people showed up with dogs; but were turned away, because they actually weren't dog-friendly. She hadn't realized that the mistake was displayed on their website, and therefore linked to other sites. She was so gracious, however, when I expressed that we would still come without the dog; and that I'd love to sit at a table right by the water! She mentioned that the tables outside were first come, first served; but thanked me for letting her know about the website mistake, and promised us a great table. We arrived and they were busy and the hostesses seemed very stressed. I'm sure it was due to the nice weather. There were two hostesses-One may have been the one I spoke with earlier, but I'm not certain. The other was unfriendly which was a bit off-putting. I mentioned I'd spoken with someone earlier & explained the situation. After some confusion, and a short wait, that hostess led us to an outdoor table. Unfortunately, it was furthest away from the water, and we couldn't see the water well while seated. We asked a couple times to move as we saw tables by the water being cleared. But we were told no, as others were waiting. We were hoping that we could move and someone who had been there before or didn't care about the view could have our table, since it would've still been outside: Win-win. But when I approached the hostess, I was met with the same unfriendliness, and it felt uncomfortable for a first experience/impression. We could understand the scenario, but would've appreciated better customer service -a smile, or perhaps an apologetic dismissal of the request. We still enjoyed our meal and our server was wonderful. I would love to see one or two more vegetarian options, as they were limited. We loved the Goat Cheese Fritter appetizer. My mushroom/rolled oat burger was ok, but I would not get it again. My cocktail was a "Reds Cosmo" which featured a touch of Rosemary, and it was perfect. We would probably try this restaurant once more, maybe for brunch, in hopes of an all around positive experience, and for a chance to sit by the water because the view is really what sets this place apart! I walked over to the railing to get a picture before we left. There is also an outdoor area next to the restaurant, where we could've ordered take-out and sat; which is just a public use area. We didn't see it until we were leaving, but we could've had our water view there, potentially.

Red's is one of my favorite restaurants in Reston! I live nearby, so I often come here for summer nights by the water or to sit in the bar area and watch a game (although they only have 2 tvs so this isn't necessarily a sports bar atmosphere). I recently reserved their private party space and can't say enough good things about it! The staff was so incredibly helpful; they got us a drink while we set up, learned every single attendee's name and who their partner was to manage multiple tabs, and were so quick with service. Lastly- the food! I have never had a bad thing here, but their crab dip, clam chowder, cobb salad, and fried chicken sandwich are some of my most ordered. The serving sizes are generous, so I recommend ordering a few things and sharing to try more!

View from Red's Table back patio

There's a reason this place has so many loyal regulars. I'm here about twice a week, drawn in by the consistently friendly service and the excellent food and beverage program. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance--elegant without ever feeling pretentious--making it ideal for locals, families, and professionals meeting over business meals. Pricing is right in line with comparable restaurants in the area, but the quality here is noticeably higher. Their monthly dinner events, in particular, are an incredible value and showcase just how much care goes into the menu. And of course, the lake view is truly special. Red's Table is one of the very few restaurants in Northern Virginia with genuine waterfront dining, and this view outshines all the others. It's a uniquely beautiful setting that elevates every visit.

Nothing exceptional but good quality, good food And a fair amount of steak in mine for $16. I wish I could say the same about the service or lack there of provided by the two young female servers. For starters, they have zero communication skills. They drop things at the table and just stand there without a word. I did not receive the Vietnamese coffee that I ordered until I asked for it nor was I asked whether or not I wanted it with whipped cream - there's was no description on the menu so I wasn't aware it came with whipped cream. When we placed our order we asked for extra cilantro and received no cilantro at all. Once the runner delivered our food no one came over to ask how everything had turned out, if we needed anything else etc. The lack of communication, lack of attention to detail and quite frankly complete lack of personality turned a pleasant afternoon meal into a disappointment. Recently, Eater DC published a list of what they considered the best steakhouses in the DMV…read more Randy's made the list. We were looking for a place to have our anniversary dinner. After seeing the list, we chose Randy's. Randy's is a Great American Restaurant, and I must say it's so good to go to a GAR with a menu different from the others. In the past, I've written about how one can go to Coastal Flats and get pretty much the same menu as, for example, Jackson's. We made a reservation for 5 p.m. on a Saturday. We arrived about a half hour early, so we asked if they could seat us right then and there. The people at the host stand said "yes". We were seated at a 4-top booth. Thus, there was plenty of room. The booths, which have mohair seat coverings, were a shade of green and quite attractive. The environment clearly says "upscale steakhouse." Our server was prompt in getting to us and asked if we wanted some water. We chose tap water. He gave us time to look over the menu. We decided to not have any appetizers as we didn't want to get too full. To drink, my husband got a glass of Catena Malbec while I got an Espresso Martini. Our server asked if we wanted some bread. We said "yes". The bread basket had 2 flaky, buttery croissants, plus a slice of white bread and a slice with raisins. For our main course, we both got the 7 oz. filet mignon cooked medium rare. We chose to try two sides. One side was "roasted asparagus" which consists of: "poached egg, parmesan (we asked for no cheese and our request was honored), truffled Bernaise aioli". The second side was "Honey roasted organic rainbow carrots," which were "dusted with candied walnuts". As for the food --- We both thought our steaks were properly cooked, However, my husband said his was on the dry side while mine was just right. We both really enjoyed the side dishes. The asparagus was unconventional, to be sure. Never did I have a poached egg with asparagus. I ate the egg, and it was properly cooked. Looking back, I should have thought to put some salt on it as there was none. The truffled sauce was creamy and added nice flavor. The carrots, to me anyway, were a pleasant surprise. The honey added a nice flavor along with the candied walnuts. They, too, were cooked perfectly. As for being "rainbow" carrots, most were orange, with some white and yellow ones. We had some room for dessert, so we decided to share "Tressa's crispy meringue filled with lemon curd and finished with passionfruit coulis". Since it was our anniversary dinner, a dollop of whipped cream was added to the plate. In that dollop was a lit candle, which was a nice touch. I found the coulis to be on the tart side. The lemon curd was mildly flavored. Service was excellent, though dessert took a while ,to arrive. All in all, a nice splurge and we're glad we came here. (Well...we didn't care for the traffic on Leesburg Pike, but the dinner made it worth the trip).

Plenty of delicious options for appetizers from classic favorites like fried spring rolls and rice paper summer rolls to savory entrées like short rib, hot pot Vietnamese noodle soups and fried rices. I can see why this place has quickly become a local favorite and why the ratings are all very positive! Lived up to the hype for sure! Thank you so much for an awesome dinner this evening! I really look forward to returning very soon.

It features a modern, trendy, and lively setting with hanging plants, stylish tiles, contemporary lanterns, and warm wood tones, creating a welcoming environment. It's popular for brunch, ceviches, sanguches, salads, seafood dishes, lomo saltados, and more. The dishes we tried were very good, and we recommend: - Causa Sampler, featuring crocante, tartare, and pollo -- all fresh and delicious. - Ceviche Sampler, with traditional, cremoso, and callejero options. - Tostones Sampler, featuring pulled pork, crab salad, and shrimp on crispy, chewy smashed and fried plantains. - Tallarines a la Huancaína: linguine with cream, Parmesan, and Huancaína sauce, topped with lomo saltado -- a unique Peruvian pasta dish that feels more like noodles than traditional pasta. - Arroz con Mariscos: Peruvian-style seafood rice with squid, shrimp, mussels, and salsa criolla, reminiscent of a Peruvian paella. - Lychee Passion & Chicha Colada: tasty mocktails made with lychee, passion fruit puree, chicha morada, pineapple juice, coconut milk, and lime.

The ceviche was a bit small portion but it was so tasty! We took the last 1cc of it my lamb shank was really good, especially the base of potatoes and the amazing sauce! Fried Fish, Beef Stake, Crispy Cod Fish were great too. Our server was very friendly with a big smile on his face. He recommended also introduced everything to us. I have to mention that, their bathroom has one elevator for people who have issues with climbing stairs. So thoughtful and caring! Oh! Never forget to order one of the best cake: Rice inside Cheese Cake! It was so delicious, and might blow you away! Inside decoration also very nice. Bright and spacey. Definitely will be go go go mood with family and friends again!

We realized we were pretty casually dressed and weren't there to eat a whole lot of food. So, we simply got the Passion Fish Roll (Raw Sushi BTW), a Crispy Buttermilk Fried Calamari, a Rockfish, a side of Sweet Potato Fries and Mac & Cheese. For our drinks, got a couple of Rum & Cokes and a Shirley Temple. The ambiance was pleasant for the most part, as we enjoyed the conversations and the food when each of the plates came out. Just that the service was kind of bias and rude. We could all feel that the waitress was kind of in a bad mood, maybe expecting us to order more dishes and drinks. Anyhow, we noticed the portions were kind of on the smaller side compared to the prices. But taste-wise, everything was pretty good. The Rum and Cokes were fine, a little pricey, but decent. Another thing we observed was that the server never asked us if we wanted more refills or dessert. After she saw that we were done with our food, she simply put the check on the table and that was that. We were full, but we still wanted more bread and drinks, so not sure why she felt like we were going to leave and ready to pay when we didn't even ask for the check, yet. Kind of rude and inconsiderate of her towards the customers, no??? We had to open a new tab after paying for the main one since she thought we were going to leave right away after having our entrees...

Also, the service is very good and at least this time the place did not get very loud so that it was easy enough to carry on a conversation with the group that I was there with. I was here twice over the last two months. The first time, I ordered off the regular menu. The second time, I did the AYCE dim sum/tapas. Obviously, ordering a la carte, you'll get larger portions. It was all fantastic. The server was attentive and friendly. Dishes came out lightning fast. And the food itself was stellar! I'll let the photos speak for themselves. You can't go wrong here, especially if you're getting one of the AYCE specials (there's a similar one at Mama Chang's). I want to note though, three of the dishes have the same flavor profile, just different main ingredients: spicy dry fish, spicy dry cauliflower, and dry fried spicy eggplant. They use dry fried red chili and ground Szechuan peppercorn. If you like this, great! Just know it's the same seasoning across these dishes. I didn't take photos of everything, but if it's braised pork xxxx, get it! I will gladly return to this location or Mama Chang's for another AYCE adventure.

Located off of busy Centreville Road in Herndon, DMV legendary restaurateur Peter Chang opened this latest establishment in September 2024. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended for their Bottomless weekend brunch; and especially if you have a large group, as we did. There is limited parking right in front, but drive a bit further for a larger lot across the street within a 2-3 min walk. The interior is modern with the familiar high ceilings, exposed duct work, faux greenery, and Asian themed artwork. Combined with the choice of almost tropical like tables and chairs, the decor was giving off serious Malaysia vibes. When our server arrived, she explained that diners could choose items from EITHER the Chinese Tapas or Traditional Dim Sum menu, which is awesome since this allows for the culinary options of over 45+ items!!! Depending on the size of your group, I would suggest ordering 6-8 items at a time, since the plates are small (about a 1-2 person serving size). And TBH, I like this style of AYCE as opposed to the the usual long steam tables of food which just sits underneath heat lamps, and has tongs which have been handled by lots of people...yuck! And for the restaurant, it helps to limit food waste. Over the next 90 minutes (time limit for the AYCE brunch), we sampled so many items, but some of the standouts were: * Crystal Shrimp Dumpling (har gow) - wrapper wasn't too thick, and the shrimp filling was plentiful and had excellent flavor * Steamed pork and shrimp shu mai - very good version of a dim sum staple. * Beef Chow Fun - noodles could've had more "wok hei" flavor, but beef was tender and not too salty. * Soup Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao) - good amount of seasoned soup inside the wrapper with tasty pork filling * Salt and pepper shrimp - peeled shrimp was flash fried, but not rubbery. It was topped with a salty peppery crunchy topping. We had several rounds of this dish. * Black Sesame egg yolk bao - creamy and not too sweet eggy filling, inside the soft black sesame bao I will detract one star for the service, however. Im my estimation, the place is understaffed for the volume of customers. Water and tea was a bit slow to arrive (after 8 min of sitting down) and it was challening to flag down our server to order more items; hence the reason it's recommended to get multiple dishes at one time. But at the end of the meal, everyone was quite pleased and satisfied, most importantly, mom and dad enjoyed the experience. When the check arrived, our party of 10 had ordered 40 items. With tax and tip, the total came out to a tad under $400. Tbh, for the quality and variety of food, $40/person is a good deal. I can definitely envision Peter Chang's weekend bottomless brunch being a monthly occurrence for me.
