First time at RedStone. I've had--and still have--the privilege of working and traveling through many countries and visiting many restaurants, which gives me a bit of an edge, in addition to being an amateur chef, when it comes to distinguishing between good and bad food and service. RedStone is a very pleasant place to go for dinner, with unparalleled service and a very pleasant vibe. The dishes are beautifully presented and the recipes are delicious. I have to admit that I wasn't going to try the sauce that comes with the sea bass. The menu says "Vinaigrette." But that set off a red flag. Vinaigrette is very common. But... the manager asked me to try it. So I did. I wouldn't really call it a vinaigrette. It's a sauce made with very rich balsamic vinegar--mild, yet with the full power of the balsamic--served warm. A high-quality sauce that pairs very well with the sea bass. Not to mention the vegetables and the basmati rice. The bread pudding is absolutely the best I've ever tasted. It's very hard to find a pudding this soft and moist. One more thing you don't come across very often. I ordered a double espresso. They brought it to me--and hallelujah--in an espresso cup. Perfectly at the right temperature. See you later.

The service to has always been good at Redstone. They are very attentive. The place has nice decor and is clean but could be a tad dark during the evening. The entrees are pretty well priced but the starters are way overpriced. I ordered the cheesesteak egg rolls (two egg rolls cut in half to make four) were trash! Like rotel in an egg roll. I ordered the braised short rib with asparagus and mash potatoes...It was like a soup so the mash potatoes dissolved...Literally. Please just know your mash potatoes will blend in with the broth to make a creamy broth smh. The dish also lacked seasoning but it has potential just needed some serious revamping. Cut up potatoes would have been better. The short rib was very tender though!

Amazing Tuna Poke Bowl! Highly recommend.

Great service at the bar with Kelly, and delicious food in a lovely atmosphere. Lots to choose from on the menu.

The food was absolutely amazing! I had the braised short ribs. Melt in your mouth! The seating was way too crowded so we kept getting elbowed or bumped into by neighboring patrons.

I recently came here for brunch with a group. The decor is dark and gives off a very cozy and intimate vibe that I like. Though it was a bit cool inside the day I was there , it was also quite chilly outside, so that could have contributed. The brunch menu has many great options. I went with the Chef's Brunch because it seemed to have a little of everything. The hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, and fruit salad were all wonderful! The scrambled eggs tasted good, but they had a cheese cooked into them that created kind of an odd texture that I didn't love. The coffee was delicious, and they had sugar lumps - big fan. The reason for 4 stars is that the Chef's Brunch is supposed to be complimentary additional serving, but the waitress never asked if we wanted anything more when clearing our initial plates. She continuously checked on us to make sure we were good on drinks but didn't ask about food. I did ask for some additional french toast, but it felt very weird having to ask instead of being offered. It almost felt like they didn't want you to get what you paid for.

Went here for a family brunch . Service was good server kept everyone's coffee cups and water glasses filled! , food was average Had the chefs brunch which is unlimited choice of scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, 1 sausage , bacon . 1 small slice of French toast and served on the side with fresh cut fruit and maple syrup. For $19 it sounded like a good deal as you could order more or just a solo item again - kind of like a Buffett but made fresh and served to you Unfortunately average tasting food- The eggs were not that great , not sure if they added cream cheese or something but whatever it was it didn't mix well as a few of us would find white clumps in the eggs so that was quite off putting My hashbrowns were not at all crispy so that was disappointing, others at my table looked better It was nice to have fresh pineapple and oranges as the fruit salad instead of your usual cantaloupe melons French toast was a tiny triangle of bread not your average French toast Not sure if I would return for brunch here again as there are many choices to go eat brunch in the metro

    This is the Sunday brunch

Went here for Sunday brunch. We made a reservation, but it was not necessary as there was plenty of open seating. This is my friend ms favorite spot. We both go the redstone all you can eat brunch. Eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and fruit. All of which can be re ordered. Was 19.99$ great deal! The food was how ever too salty for me! But the fruit was fresh. If you don't know they make an in house pineapple infused vodka. Which was delicious! The service was great the server was very attentive.

Stopped in today. Atmosphere is always nice. My fiancé loved her wine, and my Tito lemonade was ok. The Brussels sprouts were really good. The corn bread was not very good. My sea bass was great. The beef short ribs were tender but not a lot of flavor. Service was good

We tried Redstone American Grill for the first time to celebrate our 33rd Anniversary. We had a memorable experience. The steaks was exceptional and the Key Lime ‍ Pie outstanding. Our server Amy was very attentive and helpful the entire evening. Exceptional customer service from all the employees. Ambiance was also exceptional.

My second favorite was the chicken with some amazing reduction of some sort, love! The olives were just becuase I was hungry and I knew they would come out fast. The seafood paella was very good, just not as good as the brussels and chicken in my humble opinion and don't do it if you are not ready to get your fingers messy taking all the shells and pieces and parts off the shrimp. The bathroom was cute. The service was fast, olives minutes after we ordered, my favorite two dishes 12 minutes after ordering and paella, 12 minutes after that. The owner Rene was the server and he was very efficient for 6 pm on the Friday before the 4th of July with him the only one waiting on tables in the smallish (10 tables?) restaurant. By the way, that number of plates (4) perfectly filled two of us. The owner is from Mexico and cooks a Mexican menu for lunch. Next thing to try...

It was not great. The problem? I think it was because owner/chef Rene Ruiz Olivar was acting as waiter, not chef. We gave Sr. Ruiz the freedom to choose our tapas, with one exception, the black ink pasta with scallops and shrimp (Tinta Negra) that reviewers have raved about. He said, no problema--he would serve it. Then he must have forgotten because we never got it. The first tapa served, almond-crusted manchego (Almendrado), was plated prettily and was delicious but oh-so-sweet. It was an odd choice for a starter, would have been better as the finale in case nobody ordered dessert. Soon came a lamb tapa (Cordero). The lamb chops' quality was uncertain as the meat was severely overcooked. El Bodegon's langoustines (Gambas al Ajillo) had given every bit of their sea flavor to the sauce, which was magnificent, we all agreed. But where were the dish's promised mussels, the rice? One shared plate, a beef tenderloin tapa (Carne Brava), had apparently lingered too long in the kitchen--the meat was nearly cold. I adore papas bravas (Patatas Bravas). I must have had the dish a dozen times or more during my last trip to Spain, in 2017, when I visited friends who live in Ronda. During my six-week stay, we toured Andalucia, staying at hotels in large cities and visiting small towns. I also spent time sola in Madrid and Barcelona. Unlike in Spain, El Bodegon's potatoes were diced to death. Never in Spain have I ever had patatas bravas that were not substantial in size. All in all, I found the vegetables accompanying the tapas unrecognizable except for the tiny Brussels sprouts. The rest seemed chopped up or stirred to pieces in the pan. Some of my friends had churros for their dessert. They deemed them appropriately hot and tasty. My dessert was cheesecake torte, decked out with a candle as it was my 90th birthday. The torte was a gold-star winner. It was absolutely delicious, its plating the most successful of the evening. It was so perfect it almost made up for the sub-par tapas that preceded it. One of us had a view of the kitchen from his seat at the table. He saw a man other than the chef/owner doing the cooking. Was he a trainee? Did Sr. Ruiz help with the plating? God knows he didn't have a lot patrons to contend with in his role as waiter. It was a slow weeknight, and there were never more than four tables occupied. I sincerely regret that our time at El Bodegon differs from so many reviewers. Like them, I want to see Sr. Ruiz's little restaurant succeed. He has a hard row to hoe, and I hope a disappointing dinner like ours does not befall anyone else going forward.
