I have a 130 year old house and Mike and Jimbo have installed our carpets now for the second time in 25 years. Our house has all kinds of difficult angles and irregular angles. Jimbo knocked it out of the park with his installation and fixed some runs elsewhere in the house at no charge. Just incredible work ethic and integrity. I have no idea how they could ever receive a bad review. These guys work their butt's off and have amazing inventory. They have been in the game for 35 years and are still going strong. What an absolute horrible business this is. This guy list things on craigslist that he doesn't have. I spoke to him on multiple occasions on the phone about a specific product that he told me he had in stock. He told me to meet him the next day at 1:30. I drove to the marked location but he was not picking up his phone to give me his actual address. I spent three hours killing time trying to get a hold of him and when I finally did track him down he casually just brushed it aside and said oh yeah I accidentally re-posted that one. It's was an hour and a half drive for me each way to meet with this idiot. I feel like a moron and would never recommend doing business with this guy. What a waste. it's really too bad zero stars isn't an option. read more

For almost 2 weeks I have been waiting for someone to come install carpet. I have called numerous times and I keep hearing that he will call the installers and get back with me in an hour. I wait an entire day and have to call them back just to be told that he needs to get a hold of the installers and will call me back. I told him how badly I needed the carpet installed as we can't occupy those rooms until its done. We have our bedroom set up in the living room waiting for him. If you can't do the job just say so and I will go else ware don't keep stringing me along. This company obviously doesn't need my business. The only reason I waited as long as I did was because it was suppose to be this amazing deal. Needless to say I went elsewhere. read more

Made the trip from Suisun to have a look at Mike's cork flooring. The first ten minutes in the warehouse didn't look promising, but then we found the good stuff. The owner got a hold of some top quality cork at one hell of a deal. Lucky for us, he decided to pass on the savings to his customers. I can see why the local competition bad-mouths Redwood Carpets and wants them out of business. I wouldn't want to keep up with him, either! Sure, they don't have a fancy showroom, but I got some really fantastic flooring at 1/3rd the price I found online. Can't wait to install it. Will post a photo after I do ; ) read more

I entered the business without being greeted..(not a huge deal these days but noticable) as I perused the samples of carpet, the three men in the warehouse behind Home Depot...were talking using very inappropriate language. It was also hard to enter the business due to the collection of Old beat up vans and cargo vehicles.. Here's the kicker... I went to leave due to the bad feelings I kept getting. The man behind the desk or apparently runs things there, asked me if he could help me. I told him I would rather go where it was more professional. He said,"Then get the F...k out then". ... There. I actually felt unsafe as a human being let alone a woman alone in a warehouse with these characters. It's not worth the "Deals" they offer. read more

Made the trip from Roseville to Windsor. A lovely drive through wine country with my dog only to strike gold when I found this place. Got the most amazing engineered hardwood at an incredible price. It is a not a foofy place , the guy knows his stuff and is ready to work magic for you. If you are expecting tea and crumpets and to be catered to when you walk in the door this is not the place for you. But if you are a do it yourselfer on a budget , and you want amazing deals soooooooooooo worth the trip. I will be redoing another bedroom here shortly , then as money permits another bedroom and then the big push living dining kitchen . LOVE this place . read more

They are extremely reasonably priced and installed carpets quickly. Overall did a wonderful job! Communication can suffer a bit as they do not have set scheduled hours & you have to leave messages often causing a lot of hit & miss calls. read more

Was a bit put off by the last reviewer, but this company was recommended by our contractor, so we continued ahead with contact. Pluses are great carpet, well installed and fabulous price. Minus, showroom is only open limited number of hours so I had to be patient for a call back. Despite the last reviewer, we found the owner to be knowledgeable and a straight shooter. In 2012 I had my carpet and vinyl flooring installed throughout the whole house I had the kitchen and dining area plus the bathrooms installed with the vinyl flooring. Since the installation I have had nothing but problems with the carpet having ripples in it because they did not stretch it well enough and now the vinyl flooring in the dinning area has a 6ft long ripple in it, so I called Mike and explained the problem to him and he said it would be very simple to fix it and he would call me back to let me know when he could come out to look at it so it could be fixed. I have never herd back from him since that first call and I have called him back several times and left messages and he has never returned one call. If any money was saved it hasen't been worth it. read more
