I travel to Moorestown, NJ on business very frequently and am a Hilton Honors Diamond member, so I have stayed at the DoubleTree which is connected to Redz, many times over the last year and a half (well over a dozen, I'm sure). Due to the hotel location, the restaurant offers the complimentary breakfast that comes with the privilege of being a Diamond (and I think gold, too) member. The food is usually pretty good, with eggs to order and a nice section of pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, etc. it is a buffet, with servers who bring drinks and provide other "light" service. They have always been very sweet and helpful and make having to travel a little brighter. However, just this morning, on yet another stay, I noticed a sign that read "no to-go boxes or bags for the breakfast buffet." I was quite taken aback, as for the previous two visits, my air travel has been a nightmare, with delayed or cancelled flights that got me in at the wee hours (like 0300 and 0400) of the morning. After getting a few hours of shuteye, and needing to get some sustenance before heading into the office, the staff has been incredibly gracious and helpful in getting me a few things to go so that I could get my day started. What a blessing! But to now see that the Managment has decided that this little "extra" service for their customers is just too much (I can only assume it is either perceived as a cost-cutting measure, which is ludicrous, since one usually eats more when they sit down, or trying to lighten the load on the staff - however, they always seemed thrilled to help). Nonetheless, this is a nonsensical policy and will surely only drive loyal customers, like me, to stay elsewhere, as there are many choices in the area. I recommend they re-think their "to-go" policy for breakfast. It is ill-advised, as well as the change to the dinner coupon. I hardly ever eat dinner there any more because of that. Signed. Horrible and scary experience!!! This is the first time I have ever written a review, but I can't let this slide. Do not eat here!!! I ate here with my wife, our friend and 3 children. The kids ordered breaded chicken Milanese. They took a few bites and complained that it tasted awful. I smelled the chicken. It smelled like it was soaked in chemicals. Two of the kids immediately went to the toilet and had diarrhea. I asked for the manager and explained the situation. She took the chicken plate back to the kitchen and then came back to our table and tried to say that the chicken smelled normal. I asked her if she would eat it. She told me she took a bite and it tasted fine. We paid for our appetizers and left. read more

The meatballs were so undercooked I could taste the eggs. My wife ordered a hamburger well done was also cooked the same way way raw. This was the second bad experience I had here in 2 days. The first was I went in during happy hour and asked what their specials were and they gave me a list that they no longer had the specials available and the mixed drink on the list the bartender didn't know how to make. The bartender says I know what kind of drink you would like and offers a woman a bourbon and coke yes bourbon and coke instead of the mixed drink they couldn't make on their own happy hour list. read more

Being from Mount Laurel, I don't really frequent the local hotel scene. But I stopped by Redz for work and it was such a pleasant surprise. I was really excited by how creative the dishes were. My boyfriend ordered scallops and risotto, and the dish came complete with a pile of crispy root vegetables, shaved thin and (I think) deep fried. They weren't greasy or overwhelming, and there was a great variety of vegetables so it was sweet, salty and starchy in every bite. I had the lamb chops, and those came on a bed of honey polenta that still has me dreaming about it. The lamb chops were huge and cooked really well, and there was just a hint of mint in the accompanying lingonberry sauce. My only problem was the service. I was with my dad and my boyfriend, and I got completely ignored by the server who only seemed to speak to the men. I paid, and he wouldn't take my credit card from me; and when he returned he gave the check back to my boyfriend. I'm not the type to over think things, but it was my dad who said something about it first so I wasn't alone here. I could go on about a lot of the dishes here, but it's just a really innovative place. And it's very private. I went there tonight for a board meeting and the staff was accommodating and friendly even after we asked them to rearrange the tables. The food was truly incredible (specifically the penne vodka and the fudge brownie dessert). Secondly, I had the best margarita I've ever had per the bartender's suggestion. It had all fresh ingredients (avocado, limes, cilantro, jalapeno) and it was perfectly balanced. Lastly, they use paper straws, which is much more eco-friendly than plastic, showing they're environmentally progressive. I highly recommend them! read more

This is a nice restaurant connected to the Doubletree Hotel. I had dinner there one night. The filet mignon was very good and cooked perfectly. It came with asparagus which was grilled and excellent. The potatoes were more like fried potato sticks. A little disappointing. I ate breakfast here all week as it was included in my hotel. The made to order hot breakfast was great. Always plenty of hash browns and bacon/sausage. The fresh fruit and baked muffins and pastries were very fresh and delicious. I will return to this restaurant again. read more

I was at Redz for a Chamber of Commerce "Business After Business" function. The area was newly-renovated and pleasant, and the light snacks were pretty good. But the beer selection and bar service was outstanding! I went here recently with my fiancé and was extremely disappointed. Our server was rather young and seemed nice, if inattentive. We started with the truffle fries which were incredibly, INCREDIBLY salty. I happen to love salt, but these tasted like someone dumped the whole salt shaker on them. I had the Redz burger, which was a bit mediocre. Nothing special. My fiancé had the roasted lemon butter chicken breast and again, the chicken was INCREDIBLY salty. She managed to consume a about a quarter of her meal and called it quits due to the salt and the poor flavor over all. It took nearly 2 and a half hours for the two of us to complete our dinner, which is utterly unacceptable. It took about 20 minutes to order, 25 minutes for our appetizer to show up and another 30 for our meals to show up. Our waitress disappeared and our check was actually picked up by another, older waitress, who was excellent and removed the salt-lick chicken from the bill. If you're a fan of hypertension, this is the place for you. Otherwise, avoid Redz at all costs. This was my first and last visit. read more

PERFECTION!! This place is top notch!! We were intrigued by the menu when we caught a glimpse as we checked into our pretty suite at The DoubleTree Hotel. Everything about this place says class, so we could barely wait for room service. The only problem was the menu is so extensive with tantalizing entrees we didn't know how to choose. We tried the New Jersey Scallops with lobster risotto in lemon oil and Filet Mignon with asparagus, roasted potatoes & tomato. Every bite was as perfect as the entree looked and left us full yet wanting more. Hats off to Chef Loeffler whose passion shines through in bright colors with each delectable bite!! The good: super-enthusiastic, attentive service and comfortable surroundings. We felt like valued customers. The bad: food that is just OK at exorbitant prices. Since it's a hotel restaurant, I suspect it's pricing itself for the business traveler set. (Indeed, our servers looked mildly surprised when we told them we were local). If you're eating on the company dime and don't want to leave the hotel, this place is perfect. If you're a local, your money is absolutely better spent elsewhere. Minor booze quibbles: for a place that bills itself as sophisticated, the cocktail menu looked pulled from a local chain (chocotinis!). And they have a bunch of different kinds of beer, but apparently that's not the case for glassware - my Belgian tripel came with a pilsner glass for pouring. I drank out of the bottle. read more

I have to agreed exactly with Ryan K. The food was just OK and the prices high. The atmosphere was too casual considering we paid a high price for the meal. We had a party of 6 and they automatically added the gratuity.... But at 21%. Everyone had 2 drinks, apps, a few desserts/coffee and the bill was over $650. I've paid that at upscale establishments in downtown philly. Our fresh pear tart came out cold. They were nice enough to replace it with a warmed one. We thought that was odd. Just ordered the "Redz Burger " and what a great burger it was! Not a fan of sweet potato fries so they substituted for regular fries and they were crisped just right! What a great find! Stopped in for a quick lunch when I was in the area and stayed longer than expected. Staff was excellent, thanks again to Frank and Pat. Food and drinks very good. Was staying at the attached hotel for an event in Philly, so my friends and I decided to stop by before heading out for the night. We should have taken a look at the menu, or looked inside before we asked for a table. The restaurant was very well furnished and had a very rich atmosphere. I asked the hostess if we were underdressed and she assured me that we were fine. After being seated, we were greeted by two servers who were extremely attentive and were on top of every detail. They had great knowledge of the menu and were able to rattle off the very lengthy and detailed specials menu without skipping a beat. The menu itself had some delicious looking items but I hadn't planned on spending a ton of cash so I opted to start with the wedge salad and the burger as my entree. The wedge salad was HUGE and I could have split it with my fiancé but I ended up eating the whole thing myself. The burger was expertly prepared and the sweet potato fries were piled pretty high. It was an excellent burger for the price point they we're offering. Overall this place was very nice and it's not often where you find such great customer service at a restaurant. I would return if I was in the area but it is over an hour away so I won't go out of my way. read more

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. It's surprisingly excellent, especially since it's located in a DoubleTree hotel. We had the chicken meatballs as an appetizer. They were delicious. I ordered the lobster ravioli. I pretty much licked the plate clean. My coworker ordered the scallops and risotto. She definitely won best dish for the evening. The risotto was perfectly cooked. The scallops were seared with finesse. My other coworker ordered the grilled shrimp over some sort of eggplant. That was a different dish. I definitely recommend the scallops and risotto and lobster ravioli. We had great wine pairings. The house red cab is great. The service was fantastic. I had dinner last night at Redz restaurant .Wonderful ambiance to this restaurant . The food was so good. I had the cod and it was heavenly . They even make the food pretty to look at. The drinks were really good. I had two margaritas. Our waiters name was Frank. He was so nice and knowledgeable. He made excellent suggestions and did not rush us at all. Yes it was a little pricy but so worth it , if you want to enjoy a nice quiet dinner with excellent food and first class service then Redz is the place to go read more

I visited the Redz on two occasions this past April and May. I had breakfast both times and it was delicious! I had a wonderful dining experience to include great servers Chloe, Pat and Victoria! Also, I loved the chef who prepares the wonderful omelets, whose name I didn't get. I also enjoyed their nachos I ordered at the bar for a late night snack! I am a fan! Chef Mierko has done it again! The dinner I had tonight with friends was unbelievable. The Boston cod atop a corn risotto was so good I wanted to bathe in it. The duck breast and duck sausage in the appetizers, with foie gras was amazing as were the seafood crepes. I could go on and on about the food and the staff. Our waiter was so much fun, almost like a standup comic telling stories about his past jobs and making jokes. We had the best time and I hope we can do it again soon. Just amazing. Dined at Redz this past Friday night and the food, staff, and atmosphere were all really great. We tried a ton of items from the menu and everything was delicious and made perfectly. For appetizers we had the lamb chop pops and the shrimp/crab app, which came with guacamole. We had the cream of mushroom soup and the chowder as well and shared. Both were very flavorful. I had the Chilean sea bass special of the day and it was cooked perfectly. My friends had the lobster ravioli and the pork chops and they were highly satisfied with their meals. To top it off, the bread pudding dessert was amazing. And of course, everyone that we encountered was very friendly. Kudos to the chef and staff! read more

Visited for lunch on 3/3. Service was great beautiful restaurant and good food. My husband had the Redz burger. He enjoyed it except the mozzarella wasnt melted only fresh which looked pretty. I had the cranberry chicken salad and it was very tasty. I would have liked to see fresh sweet potato fries instead of frozen but still was good. A little pricey for lunch compared to area restaurants but we may return in the future. read more

Different specials always keep your palate from getting bored with the same old go to at your usual place. Great for everyday dining with delicious lunches and even better for special events as the staff is very accommodating with anything you need! The service is phenominal, the staff is always friendly and knowledgable anytime I've been in and they offer a nice selection of wine and craft beers as well as a list of special cocktails and a well stocked bar. My wife and I were looking for a quick bite on our way back to Baltimore from NY. We found Redz after a few google searches on the road. We were really happy with the service and the food. I had the crab grilled cheese and French Onion Soup, and she had the Chicken salad. The food was delicious, the server and chef were accommodating to our questions and requests, and we left happy we found the place. We definitely would recommend to anyone in the area or near by. I only gave 4 stars because I have yet to have a full blown dinner there to test out some entrees, but would gladly return to test it out. read more

Just had the pleasure of having my 50th birthday party at Redz! They have a beautiful private room to use and I was able to create my own menu selection with Chef Mirko's help and guidance. The party went off perfectly! Everyone is still talking about it 2 weeks later and they all want to return to try other dishes at Redz.
