I have had the pleasure of dinning at Redz twice now and have been completely satisfied both times. The first time, I had the lobster & shrimp chowder, shrimp wrapped appetizer and sea bass. All of it was amazing!!! The chowder was light and full of seafood and the shrimp appetizer was absolutely delicious. It was served with fresh guacamole and I wanted to lick the plate! The next time I went with 4 friends and we all ordered different things so we could all taste each others dishes. Along with the shrimp wrapped appetizer (once you try it, you have to have it again) I tasted the onion soup, kobe meatballs, and pumpkin soup (it was simply amazing and the special for the week) For entrees we had the crab cake, the tuna, the salmon, and the mushroom linguini. Everything....and I mean everything we had was fresh, hot and amazing! We were going to pass on the dessert until we heard that the chef makes the best bread pudding....so we ordered one (with 4 spoons) and it was gone before we finished our coffee! (our server was right) I have become so tired of the "same old tired places" to go and this is really something new and special. Our group is planning on making it our new favorite spot to meet, and I can't wait to try more of the chef's specialties. We held a reception for approximately 40 following a memorial service on Friday afternoon April 17th. The food was very good and our menu selections provided a variety of dishes that satisfied for guests. Restaurant manager, Mark Kugler, was very professional and accommodating. He managed the service very well and was supported by a friendly and attentive wait staff. Especially helpful was Katie, the server/bartender who we originally discussed options with when we originally visited the restaurant to plan the affair. She was also very attentive and accommodating the day of the luncheon to ensure our guests needs were taken of. As to the Doubletree hotel staff, they were not very flexible or accommodating when asked to offer a one night room discount to one of our out of town guests (a senior citizen couple on a fixed income) who booked a room at the hotel. The hotel also refused to provide a late check-out past 1PM unless accompanied by a fee. In spite of the disappointing hotel experience, we enjoyed the luncheon and were very satisfied with the food and service offered by the Redz Restaurant staff. This was my first visit to Redz and this is the first review I've written. Two couples had dinner last Saturday and left saying this is one of the best restaurants we ever visited. We are all seniors and have a lifetime of eating in some very highly rated and expensive restaurants. I agree with the other reviews about the decor, ambiance, service, food: the best. We had no complaints. Shoutout to Karen,the bartender, Bob and Cal our waiters, Mark, the manager, and of course Chef Mirko Loeffler who came to our table personally. Our dinners: bacon shrimp, lobster & shrimp chowder, rack of lamb, crab cakes, scallops,and lobster and crab ravioli plus some great desserts. We all tasted each others food and made a date to come back soon because everything was delicious. The menu is varied and balanced. I have to mention the escargot which was one of the "specials". I've had many variations of the garlic and butter snails. This sauce was different. I didn't ask what was in it , but I begged the Chef to add it to the menu. This was my first visit to REDZ. I and friends follow Chef Mirko Loefler. That being said Redz is in and of itself a wonderful dining experience. The decor is modern with clean lines but the use of wood elements gives it a comfortable feeling . Mark the Manager and Frank our server were efficient, friendly, fun, informative and available without hovering. Mark suggested several wines one of which we indeed chose and with which we were completely happy. Along with the varied and tempting menu there were a plethora of specials offered also. Each sounded more tempting than the last. We sampled appetizers of seafood crepes and a duck sampler that included a superior foie gras. As a main course, three of our party, me included, chose the cod with lobster over risotto. Unbelievably good!!! Mirko's risotto is beyond compare to any I have ever eaten. The fish was fresh and tasty and cooked to perfection. My other companions raved over their entrees as well. Already a fan of Chef Mirko's cooking, I highly suggest REDZ to further a guaranteed good experience. read more

We were thrilled to learn a few weeks ago that Chef Mirko would be the lead Chef at the new restaurant Redz located in the DoubleTree Hotel in Mt. Laurel. We first dined at Redz on Sunday for dinner, and returned again for dinner two days later. We had the pleasure of dining at a prior restaurant of Chef Mirko's and his food was wonderful. The same is true at Redz. Both of the dinners were great. Everything was fresh, inventive, and prepared with the Chef's signature touches. Redz has a great staff, including many experienced servers from the former restaurant GGs. Our appetizers were brought out quickly and were very appealing--fresh fruit with Greek yogurt, chicken quesadilla, lavash with hummus and guacamole, and pumpkin soup. All delicious. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, and the peach chicken was tender and sumptuous. We loved it and we'll be back often! read more

Went for lunch today. Started with the lobster bisque. It not only tasted great but it had large chunks of lobster in it -delicious. Ordered a BLT and it the bacon was on it was nice and thick and had a great smokey flavor. Never disappointed when I go there to eat. I saw that their new menu no longer has the french onion soup. I was very bummed because this was by far the best french onion soup around. As I was leaving I spoke to the restaurant manager and asked why they took it off. She did tell me that they are going to be bringing it back for the fall! I hope it stay as a permanent item on the menu it's fantastic! Thanks Redz!!! read more

Redz never disappoints! Each time I return to Redz I find a new favorite dish.The food is always inventive, beautifully presented, and of course delicious. The flavors are well balanced, the portions generous, each dish is perfectly seasoned, and the timing between courses perfect. The wait staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and warmly professional. The menu changes seasonally, making repeat visits a must! Save room for dessert, even if you have to share it, it'll be worth the calories to taste the decadent, delicious treats Chef Mirko comes up with to round off your dining experience. read more

My mom and I were snowed in at the Double Tree in Mount Laurel, NJ this past weekend. We went to breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Redz restaurant during our two day stay where we met Frank and Katie, our servers, who became our friends throughout the weekend. The food was excellent, presentation was beautiful, and overall service was a ten. I never write reviews for places but Redz restaurant, Katie, and Frank deserve a shout out. I had lunch at REDZ today and it was wonderful. I ordered the Chef's special "Octoberfest" and it was delicious. Three types of sausage over sauerkraut with German Potato salad. The serving was generous...in fact, I will have the rest for dinner tonight. The service was great and it was quiet enough that I could enjoy talking with the other members of my party. I would highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return very soon! read more

Had dinner here again this time to celebrate a birthday. As usual Chef Mirko out did himself. We were four in our party and one was gluten intolerant. NO Problem! Chef Mirko customized a meal just for that need and it was indeed as delicious as all the others. And a shout out to our server Frank. He, as usual, was knowledgeable and a lot of fun! My wife and I along with another couple had dinner here for the first time. We had an amazing meal, we all ordered something different and all the meals were awesome. The service was excellent by both Frank and Carl. I tried their Cream of Asparagus soup, one of the best I have ever had, also their vegetables were perfectly prepared. The bartender, Wayne, is awesome! Funny, cool, relaxed and makes one of the best spicy, mango margaritas I've ever had! We came in on a work trip and not one person had to order a drink. Wayne asked each of us a couple questions and curated personalized drink to each individual person's liking. Redz is a refreshing addition to the SJ Jersey restaurant offering. Forget going over the bridge for an unforgettable meal. The Roasted Chicken with pecan rice was unbelievable delicious and changed my mind about pecans. I nearly started a brawl after tasting my dinner partner's bread pudding dessert. Had an appetizer that had shrimp wrapped with bacon and the duck entree. Both were very good. My companion had the pork tenderloin and loved hers too.
