You can spend the whole day here doing all of the interactive activities and shows. Honestly, I think they're pretty overpriced and you would be better off spending your time at the Hershey Story museum downtown. However, I think it's a must do if you visit the park. You can go on the free ride about how chocolate is made- and then you get a free sample at the end! They have food options but I think they're pretty overpriced. I would only go if you're on a bus trip and don't have any other options. The gift shop is massive and has different merchandise than the park. They also have deals on certain chocolate items and sometimes have new products as well. The check out lines can get long but move very quickly. There is also a self checkout line than can be hard to find but is very quick. You have to stop by if you're visiting Hersheypark- don't miss it!

Loved the gift shop. I like you can pick out your favorites and buy them in mini sizes. So much delicious candy to explore. Make sure to get on the free ride and they Take your picture. We purchased the key chain. Parking is free. I am glad I finally had a chance to experience this and would not hesitate to return. Just keep in mind if you're traveling in the warm weather. You have to worry about the chocolate melting. We traveled during the springtime so our chocolate made it safely home. Still in good condition.

The atmosphere was fun, utilizing retired ride vehicles as booths and playing into the park setting. As expected in Hershey, the menu explored how chocolate can be integrated into a very American menu. I enjoyed the pulled pork grilled cheese: the chocolate barbecue sauce reminded me of a lighter molasses-based sauce so it worked with the barbecue. We had the Ferris Wheel appetizer which was mostly a win, but the items could have shown up on a TGI Friday's menu. The next day, to escape the millions of middle schoolers in the park (I have a whole travelogue brewing for that) we came back because I wanted one of their gigantic milkshakes. The Reese's peanut butter shake was peanut butter to the Nth degree, and it was topped by an entire slice of peanut butter pie. My friend got a stomachache but I love anything peanut butter so this was a win for me. Both times the service was really good. Our servers were friendly and attentive so we never felt we were being ignored or passed over. A+ in the service department.

My daughter got a mint chocolate chip milkshake that was huge. She kept talking about how good it was for the rest of the day. We split the pork nachos, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best nachos I've ever had. Fresh, moist pork, tons of whole chips, and nothing skimpy about the toppings. My friend tried one of the flatbreads and loved it too. It is a little loud because it's so open, but honestly, I liked the energy. Easy five stars from me.

I drove down from Markham to attend an American Hockey League (AHL) playoff game between the Hershey Bears and the Manitoba Moose. Giant Center, where the Bears Play, is at Hersheypark, as is Hershey's Chocolate World. The Hershey Company owns everything at Hersheypark. I find it neat that the entire town is named after a company known for candy and chocolate. It didn't matter where you were in Hershey. You could smell the chocolate! I am certain that I got into visiting Hershey stores in my travels through this first visit to Hershey, PA. My visits to the stores in Niagara Falls (Canada), Las Vegas, and Shanghai come to mind. The flagship store is obviously in Hershey, PA. It was an amazing experience. The cool part was picking up a bunch of Hershey's Chipits in butterscotch. It was one of those hard-to-find flavours locally back then. It was so easy snatching a few bags for baking cookies and more. I think of chocolate bars when the Hershey's name is mentioned. The classic milk chocolate comes to mind. I like that it has expanded its flavour profile to include cookies and cream, dark chocolate, birthday cake, and almonds. At Easter, I do like a bag of Eggies. I like that you can get dark and milk chocolate varieties, with both having a candy coating on the outside of each Eggie (or is it Eggy for the singular?). I like Hershey's Kisses. The original milk chocolate is classic. I love candy cane Kisses that hit stores just before Christmas. The cookies and cream ones are also yummy. Besides the Hershey's brand, the Hershey's company also has these brands under its product umbrella: - Reese's - Chipits - Jolly Rancher - Oh Henry! - Twizzlers - Whoppers - Glosette - Skor - Brookside - Ice Breakers - Eat More - York I probably consume more Reese's, Jolly Rancher, Oh Henry!, Whoppers, and Ice Breakers on this list. So good! Hershey's Canada has its headquarters in Mississauga, near where I work. Sadly, it doesn't smell like chocolate whenever I'm driving to work. It should! I don't mind Hershey's and its products. I feel like some Reese's white chocolate cups, which are also awesome. (377)

I craved some comfort food before the long ride home and I remembered The Hershey Pantry from my college days at PSU, which now feels like 138 years ago. We stopped in and had the most delightful, sweet waitress: Piper. The food was just what we wanted: filling and familiar. Hubs had a chicken caprese sammie and I had a reuben with turkey. Both hit the spot. I saw a coconut cake slice go by for another table and had to order one immediately to go. OMG - GET THE COCONUT CAKE. I had it as a late night snacky and it was tender with the right amount of coconut, and frosting that was light like an angel's wings. My only regret is that we live 3.5 hours away and can't come back anytime soon.

He kept the group entertained, was incredibly knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. We also lucked out with a great group of people on the tour, which added to the fun atmosphere. Doug did an excellent job explaining the brewing process and showing us the production facility. One of the highlights was when he stopped at one of the large fermentation tanks and poured everyone a sample of unfinished beer. It was a unique experience and very interesting to taste beer at that stage of production. The best part of the tour came at the end when we gathered around a bar and sampled several different beers. Doug explained the characteristics of each one, making it both educational and enjoyable. The brewery itself is huge, with plenty of seating, a great food menu, and a wide variety of beers to choose from. The tour costs $15, and you even get a beer before the tour begins, which makes it an excellent value. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping in for a cold beer and booking the tour. It was an absolute blast and one of the best brewery experiences we've had.

You give a credit card to your server and that opens the tab. You go to the "snack" counter to order but drinks are brought by a server. Water is self service. After you place your order you get an alarm square (like Panera) and then you pick up your food and silverware and water. Two of us ordered the BBQ brisket sandwich. It came with cole slaw and Bbq sauce and a side of fries. Dining partner really liked the brisket and said it was so tender. I asked for the bbq sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because it was a vinegar base sauce. I didn't like it at all. I found the brisket to be a little too fatty and not well seasoned. The slaw in the sandwich wasn't seasoned either. I was disappointed. Both of us thought the fries were meh. Not hot enough and not crispy. Mine were kind of soggy. Diner 3 got grilled cheese. It was a sandwich in thick bread and came with a side of marinara sauce. She said the sandwich was good. Diner 4 got the Mediterranean plate. Hummus, tabuli, zucchini fritters and tahini. She graciously offered me tastes. The tabuli was really good and the zucchini was prepared like felafel. They were ok. The pita triangles looked good. I didn't try anything else. The other diners all ordered sodas which came with twist off caps in small bottles. They liked the sodas. Overall, the food was ok. There is a gift shop with a variety of merchandise and lots of beer for sale. I asked if the beers and 'cocktails' were available as singles rather than 6 packs. And I was offered a taste. I chose the freaky fruity cherry limeade cocktail. It had too much of the taste of hops for me. The server said it's not made with hops but on the same equipment and although it was tasty, I couldn't get past the taste if hops. Not something I like. The place is nice looking, people were very nice, the menu just didn't work for me.
