I've supported this business throughout the years, so I really didn't expect this kind of service. I don't usually get haircuts often, but when I do, I'd always go to them. Sometimes there are more workers, but today it was just the two of them, the stylist and the owner who also cuts hair, and it wasn't even busy when I went in. This time, they just took me straight to the bowl without letting me know beforehand that it would cost an extra $5, claiming they had to wash it because they can't cut my hair type dry. But during the wash, the stylist kept going on her phone to call someone like 3 times. Touching your phone is very unhygienic and then touching my supposedly "washed hair" even though it was barely any soap and mostly water and didn't even wash my scalp thoroughly. She was so distracted by her phone call the entire time that she wet my whole head but only slapped shampoo on the very top and didn't even wash it thoroughly. At the end, the owner told me it was 45 when I asked, but then the stylist said she washed my hair so the owner said oh ok it's actually 50 bc she washed ur hair. That's when I was confused and told her oh but she didn't actually wash my hair she did put soap but didn't wash it thoroughly. I basically paid 5 dollars to wash my own hair when I got back home because of the lazy job. I calmly told the owner it was unfair to charge me since it wasn't even clean. Instead of fixing it, she just made excuses, took the stylist's side, and still forced me to pay the $5 because they 'had to wet it.' She basically told me they don't really do anyone's hair thoroughly anyway and just needed it wet. Then she tried acting like I was overreacting to dismiss my point when I wasn't even yelling. This situation just completely exposed her real personality and the fake vibe she gives off. I've noticed weird, condescending behavior from her in the past, but watching her defend lazy service today finally showed me who she really is. It sucks because the haircut itself actually turned out good and she did it without distractions, but the terrible service and the owner's attitude totally ruined it. I won't be back. Hopefully they do better so they don't lose more clients. Please spend your money where it's ACTUALLY worth it. read more

I stopped by with my godfather and daughter for a trim. Kali trimmed the ends of my daughter's hair and trimmed mine as well. She was very nice and liked her work. My god father got a cut from another lady and Annie finished the hair cut. I really like Annie, she's so sweet and energetic. I love her personality. I highly recommend this hair salon. I feel really bad that Regina had such a bad experience here going through her cancer treatment. I don't have cancer but I recently also cut all my hair off for a short a-line bob and plan to donate my hair. I liked the fact that Annie did it quick (no wash and dry). It's cheaper that way! We also did a couple of blonde highlights, which looks cute too. I have had long hair for YEARS and was so ready for the change. She kept asking are you sure? You ready for such a change? Because it's a big risk to all of someone's hair off and have them hate it. I waited about 4 months to come back for a trim today and by this long I was just sick of how fast it grew out. I've been here 2-3 times and really liked Annie, but the last time I was there she was busy, so I got someone else. Usually, Annie charges me $20-25 for a cut (no shampoo, style). This last time, I was charged $35 for a crappy cut, and again, no shampoo, no styling---the higher price was because the girl straightened my hair to cut it! I didn't ask for it, she just did it! I still gave a 20% tip because, hey, I'm not gonna stiff em, but NEVER AGAIN. I've paid for $60-70 haircuts and I've never ever felt sooo raped in my life until now for paying $35 for a really bad haircut without any extras and for only being on the chair for 20 minutes! The 2 stars are for Annie's cuts, overall, I don't recommend them. Note: I did notice that they have lots of regulars come in and out so maybe they like/prefer the locals better.... read more

I LOVE ANNIE!!! I've been going to Annie for about 5 years now because she really knows how to unleash the curls in my hair. Styling my hair after a cut from Annie is always soooo much easier due to the way she was able to bring out my curls. I can seriously towel dry my hair, add some gel or wax and be on my way! Her cuts start at a relatively low price, I think I pay $45 each time I go and it includes a shampoo with a very relaxing scalp massage and style after cut. She does a really good with coloring as well. She's not afraid to give you bold colors if that's the look you want but can also give you very subtle highlights. read more

Annie came highly recommend from some I know. When I arrived to the salon, Annie was cutting hair and another lady was under the dryer. She greeted me with a friendly hello. I proceeded to walk in... Little did I know my world would be compounded with a problem that could of been easily avoided if this so called "stylist" would of listened to me. I sat down on the couch, noticed my phone was on low battery, I looked around for an outlet. Annie noticed, then invited me to sit on a chair that was next to an electric outlet. (Wow she's so accommodating!) while she was finishing up with the lady's cut (which looked fantastic) I decided to find a picture of the cut I wanted. As soon as she was finished I explained to her the reason of why I was drastically going from long to short hair. You see, I am a newly diagnosed Breast Cancer patient and I wanted to donate my hair. She proceeded to say, "I thought that only happens to women that have big boobies!" I was surprised by how uneducated this statement sounded but let it go. She proceeded to take her other client to the sink to rinse her hair and told me to let her know once I find the picture. - Hey that's reasonable. They returned from the rinse and I found the pictures to show her. I wanted a stylish A-Line Bob, the Rhianna hairstyle. She advised that it's too long and to just cut it shorter since I'm on chemotherapy, my hair will fall out anyway. As I was scrolling on Pinterest, a style caught her eye, it was a short layered bob style. It looked ok and she convinced me to cut it that way. I put my hair in a ponytail. She said she'd pull the hair tie down to leave enough for the new haircut. To my surprise she didn't pull down that much, then she cut it off. I thought she would take me to shampoo my hair since it was in a ponytail all day long. But no, she sat me right down, wet my hair with a couple of sprays from her handy dandy spray bottle, pulled out her shears and started to work. I was shocked. This whole time I'm thinking WTF??!! My boyfriend walks in and yells out "Whats going on here?" I just looked at him helpless. In about 5 mins she was "done." Annie turns to me and says "Yeah it cute. The reason why it looks like that is coz your hair was in a ponytail. But it looks good." My boyfriend immediately answers back "She looks like that cat with the melon its head - yeah THE MELON CAT." So she tries to "fix it" by taking clippers an buzzing the hair that looked out of place. After she was done, I paid her the $25 and tipped $5 and ran out of their as fast as I could coz I know the cut I got was horrible. I got home looked at my hair and its fucked up. I basically paid this insensitive woman to cut my ponytail (10 inches of hair) for $30. I decided to call her and tell her how I feel and how I feel even uglier now. She apologized and said that she was trying to make me feel good and I wanted a short cut that what she did. What I wanted was a stylish haircut and to be treated like a princess. Instead I got an insensitive, callous, and uncaring individual who took no time to consider what I'm going through or how I look during my breast cancer treatment. The thing that I thought would make me feel good just made me 10 times worse. Just coz you have cancer doesn't mean you can't look good or feel great about yourself. That the reason why I came here. Instead I feel and look like total and utter shit. This place is called Reflections Hair Designs? Yeah come here if you want your reflection to look like shit. I give this place ZERO. read more

I'm a guy, and though this salon caters largely to a female clientele, I do find an occasional one like me drop in. I'm glad to have found this place so close to my home - I like the haircuts that I get, and I'm sticking to this place. The ladies of the salon make you feel at ease. While I've been accommodated as a drop-in at times, and that's a huge plus, I've had to wait upto 45 minutes despite an appointment a couple of times, and that's the only reason I've not given it a fifth star. read more

Well, I must say but I am very disappointed wirh what Annie did to my hair last time I was there. She said she was putting a low light and a highlight on my head, but when I got home and looked at my whole head with better lighting, I was furious! She hadn't even touched the back and it was orange from the last time she put a low light of a disgusting orange color! She is not very knowledgeable in highlighting blondes. When I looked at my head on the sides, she had 2 thick skunk type streaks on one side and plastered bleach blonde on the other side as if it was painted. I came back to have her fix it and she gave me my money back because I think she realized she did not know what she was doing & how to highlight blondes. I was really pleased by her thoughtfulness throughout--she would ask me for my input on everything and make sure I felt comfortable. The former was especially refreshing to me! Many make-up artists just do what they feel like without any consultation with you, such as *sigh* putting eyelid tape on you, something that happened to me once. I like my eyelids the way they are! I also loved how unlike many others, she did not make me look like a drag queen! The makeup felt light on my face, and ended up looking really great! She also gave me some lovely curls. Great salon. Annie is wonderful. She listens and suggests and has great ideas. I have hair that is turning gray right around my face and was grudgingly going to see what I looked like with the au natural look. I wasn't happy with it, but my husband was encouraging me to go with the gray. Annie suggested that she put blond highlights just where the gray was showing...I said yes and and so glad I did. No charge for that first little bit as well! I liked the highlights so much that I went back for more! I'm picky when it comes to my hair and Danielle listened to my suggestion of more natural highlights and that's just what I got. I'll definitely be back. I've found my salon! For the most part, this salon does cater to mostly women, but Annie has been cutting my hair for approximately twenty years....and last time I checked, I'm no woman. I often look at some of my buddies when they get their hair cut and think to myself "DUDE! - did you actually PAY for that!?!" On the flip side, I have been asked where I get mine cut...and I tell them Reflections Hair Designs....and because my hair is so sweet : ) they follow- Annie has a couple of other girls cutting and doing color (nope-I don't do color), and after being reluctant to let anyone else touch my hair but Annie I finally did. They're all very nice and do a fine job...they're always fairly busy which to me means just that!
