First of all, I really appreciate their hours that are a little later than all other local salons - why aren't nail places open later!? I've loooove a Friday night nail appointment!! I've gone here before in the past, but went again and got a nail tech I didn't recognize. She was young and so very sweet - she had a conversation going with me basically the whole time I was there, which is unheard of in any nail salon I've been to in the past. I felt so at home and like I made a new friend while getting a great set of nails! Her attention to detail was fantastic. I needed a gel polish manicure removed, but had a couple wonky situations with some tips on some nails and builder gel randomly on my thumb to fix an old break. She filed down the builder gel and added new builder gel on a couple nails that had broken recently and weren't matching the length I wanted on my natural nails. She took her time building the correct shape and they really do look natural! She asked me how I liked the length and shape multiple times throughout my service, and I appreciate how much she waited for my input before proceeding and made sure she was executing what I asked for properly. I went with a mood color changing cat eye polish because the darker color on the box was so so pretty. I do wish they had the typical polish swatches at the rack to help you choose, I was surprised to not find any. My tech showed me a few different cat eye shapes that we could do with the magnets to let me pick my favorite. I went with the 'gem stone' pattern for most nails and the star accent on my ring fingers to mix it up. She kept saying the magnets weren't cooperating with her and she had to redo the cateye effect multiple times on most nails - I appreciate that she kept trying until she got it to look the way we both wanted, but feel bad that it took her so much time! Maybe they need some new magnets? I do love the final look and even a week out, they are holding up so well. She didn't skimp on the traditional manicure steps at all even though the rest of the service ended up taking longer than I expected (some salons will rush through the scrub and lotion parts at the end, which stinks because those are my favorites!) She gave me a great hand massage and made sure to finish off my look with strawberry scented cuticle oil. Their prices are reasonable and slightly lower than others I've seen. The cat eye effect was an extra $10 and paying with a credit card meant I had an extra $2 fee on top which is a bummer - try to bring cash if you can to avoid this. I'm not sure if that's a flat fee or that was just what their percentage fee came to. I went to Regal Nails in the Seekonk WalMart on a whim one Thursday night to get acrylic nails put on. I opted for the white tips; classic and clean-looking. Having a hectic schedule with 3 kids under 6 years-old, I walked in at 7:30pm. The place closed at 8, and to their merit, they still agreed to put on a full set. The nail tech finished around 9:15pm, and I noticed that the ends looked awfully wide. It almost looked like a "fan" manicure which I am not a fan of. Feeling guilty that I already kept her past closing, I just figured I would live with it. All day at work the next day I couldn't get past the ends being so wide. So I went back there after work and another tech filed the sides down. I had to ask her to reapply the top coat. It has been 1 week and 2 days since the set was applied, and the nails are lifting. I am very disappointed, as having 3 kids I do not often get to "treat" myself and spend $31.00+tip on just me. I am going to a salon in my old neighborhood in North Prov to correct this by getting a fill. Upset that I have to spend more money on something that I shouldn't have to worry about for at least another week and a half!! read more

I would never recommend to go to this nail salon. They are all very rude and ignorant every time I've tried to go there I've had to leave and go to other nail salons every time I try to stop in there. They make you wait so long and act like they're all booked back to back with appointments which can be true but every single time I've gone there I've tried during the week during the weekend daytime evening. They don't like to help anybody unless you're a regular that's been going there forever if you try to walk in, they're very rude And tell you always to come back that they don't have enough workers. That place is a joke and they're ridiculous. I've never been to a nail salon, where every worker is ignorant does not want to help you. I have making you stand at the desk for at least 15 minutes for them to come over and say can you come back? We're busy and there's one maybe two customers in there but they're so busy every time. Do not recommend at all. I also stopped going there a couple years ago because they let water get underneath my nail or rather they seen it and kept telling me that it was nothing. It was gonna go away until I went to another nail salon and they told me that was water and the first time they seen it they should've removed my nail and gave me a new nail because it could've become infected and gotten really bad and they've seen it and told me it was fine. It was gonna go away so they lied. I don't think they should even be working with the public if you're gonna be that rude and inconsiderate to customers that are trying to get their nails done to pay you money isn't that what you have a business for? They need to definitely improve in their customer service 100% even their facial expressions says it all they all look miserable and mad when you walk in to help their business but OK I am all set with that place. I have been coming for 2 years now and I love the way they do my nails. I am from CT where I used to go to New York to get my nails done. So moving to Rhode Island I have been through several nail shops. Most I would get my nails done and they would lift or chip within days. Finally I found Regal Nails in the Walmart in Seekonk and was pleasantly surprised. The ladies are very friendly and their work is the best. I always get a fill with the pink powder since going here and they have never done me wrong. I love getting random nail designs and no matter what picture I show them on my phone they make it happen. They are patient, funny, and friendly. The shop is clean and there is a seating area while you wait. As long as you call and make an appointment your wait time is short. There are days when you can walk in without calling, but from Thursday to Saturday you will have a wait if you don't make an appointment. read more

My experience is based on a pedi. I have been here numerous times and everytime my experience will be different. I dont get the same treatment everytime I come here. I will never return to Regal Nails inside the Seekonk Walmart. I had stopped in a week earlier and asked to look at their designs. I was told that they could do anything and to just bring in a picture. Well, I went last night for a pedicure and a manicure. The pedicure was half decent, although the quality of the guy who painted my nails could be MUCH better. I wanted something I saw out of a magazine they had in their salon - it was a gradient design. I was then told they could not do it because it was probably done with an airbrush! What??? So, I decided I'll make it simple. For my manicure, I sat with a woman named Meng, who was nice enough. She paints nails like a 4 year old! I wanted a glittery pink nail base with a basic white french manicure tip. She kept forgetting what I wanted. First, she began painting the white tips, forgetting the pink base. Had to re-do it. Then she painted the pink base and added the white tips, but forgot the glitter! When I kept asking her, I guess she could not understand me. When she told me I was done, I asked her what happened to the glitter... again. She says "oh, I forgot". Then she proceeds to add the glitter. It's just sloppy. My almost 10 year old could have done a much better job! What a waste of $40! read more

Very unprofessional. Witnessed two workers fight in front of all the customers. Also was cut twice when the lady was drilling my acrylics and she put on gel polish when I asked for regular polish. She also overcharged me. read more

Stopped in for a gel manicure without an appointment. It was busy, so I had to wait 45 minutes. Other customers who did have appointments were waiting needlessly though. It was hard to understand my technician or the others, as they mostly spoke in Cambodian to each other. My technician cut away my cuticles so deeply that I bled (he had to put special liquid on my pinky 3 times to stop the blood and the stinging-I am worried that I might get an infection), and then he used his long fingernails to try to get the extra polish off. I requested that he use a wooden stick, but either he did not understand, or he did not have one. The gel light hardener was not working properly, and I had to try to squeeze two hands in there without smudging the polish (it was only big enough for one hand). He did a very extensive and painful massage with lotion that was very greasy up to my elbows; he actually held my hands and cracked my fingers. At this point I was just closing my eyes and hoping it would be over soon. I went there as my regular mani pedi woman was booked for the next week plus, and my former gel polish was half way chipped off every fingernail and I just wanted good polish on it after a very rough day at work. This is my lesson learned, though, that it is better to wait for my regular woman no matter how long it takes vs. going to a cheap nail place in Walmart. read more
