The seats at the theatre. Unacceptable!
    Marie Ragy R.

Came here for late night movie. Came in and there was no one at the ticket booth. I guess ticket purchase is self service only. Place is spacious and has ample parking and nice restaurants around if you want to chill after. The staff behind the snack counter were nice and I didn't have to wait long for my food. Popcorn was fresh and drink machines were working. However, they need a serious renovation. The theatre seats were damaged. It wasn't just one or two of them either. It was a lot of them. Very noticeable. The seats were ripped. Unacceptable. That was the downside.

So I like this theater overall BUT even though the reclining seats were comfortable, they're all starting to tear. They have a smooth process of getting into the theater, bathrooms are clean, and the surround sound is clutch, but please fix the ripped chairs!

30 minutes past the start time of the movie for previews and random videos. At least Kerasotes kept it to 15 minutes.

I sat in the fourth row behind the ADA seating and I felt like I was extremely close to the screen. And if you go early-ish it's a mere $10 ticket, sometimes less if you go early-ish and during the week. So no crowds, quick walk, and cheap tickets. Oh and it's always super clean and the seats (although they are not the incredible recliners that some magical theaters are adopting) are very comfortable. So no crowds, quick walk, cheap tickets, super clean and comfortable seats. I am not totally biased, I have my cons. The line for concessions often doubles as the line for tickets, so even if you aren't looking to get something sweet or savory, you still have to wait a bit. But uhhh if you actually can go to the movies and not get popcorn, snowcaps and sour patch kids, I don't think we should be going to movies together... So besides the semi-often combined line and lack of reclining seats, this theater is a Hoboken gem that literally never has crowds, is a quick walk from anywhere in Hoboken, has cheap tickets, is clean and comfortable.

This is mainly about IMAX Auditorium 13 September 2026…read more The Odyssey in IMAX 70MM Did you know that AMC Lincoln Square 13 houses the largest IMAX screen in the United States? The screen is massive at 101' wide, allowing no cropping or editing of a film and delivering sharp visuals to a 70mm movie. The seats in this auditorium are plush, wider than most, purposefully with no recline for audiences to view the screen upright. I also noticed a direct line of sight to the screen, with no audience members blocking your view. Ultimate viewing. Accompanying this 101' wide screen is an impressive audio system. This is the part that appealed to me the most. I've always appreciated a grand, bass filled audio system that surrounds you. During this show, I noticed no out of tune, high-pitched sound distortions. The sound system's audio and accompanying music to me, were flawless throughout. The audio's dynamic bass speakers, in sync with the other immersive speakers, at moments give you a literal thunderous tremble throughout your entire body...love it!! Before this movie was even over, I knew it was worth coming back here, specifically for an action filled IMAX 70mm blockbuster. Being familiar with the Greek myths helped me enjoy this entire viewing experience more. If you have the opportunity, I feel it's worth it to see The Odyssey in the format created by the director. SIDE THOUGHT: AMC's Auditorium 13 capacity is 400+ With that, there's only one women's restroom on the 4th floor, which only has 5 stalls. Five stalls for let's say 15%-20% of the audience needing the restroom at the end of a show. Pack your patience. My thoughts. During the architecture of large-scale buildings, designated space should be carved out to accommodate more than 5 stalls. Understood that this is an older building, but it has to be stated that this constant ridiculousness of minimal stalls seen in the majority of large buildings, needs to change going forward. Knowing this fact, I went to the restroom 15 minutes before the movie ended...no lines.

I was going to say the seats are in better condition than the AMC 84th but one of our seats didn't recline. They have beer now... so there's that. After the movie we got to talking with one of the security guards and he was telling us stories about the Odyssey 70mm IMAX showings. The demand was so crazy people were standing along the wall, sitting in wheelchair spots, and bringing beach chairs. As soon as the guard mentioned it, some dude was going up the escalator with two big ass beach chairs. Not even the type that fold into a carrying bag. The guard was very enlightening. He talked about the different clientele and culture between theaters. The Bay Plaza AMC will definitely not allow outside food. The Lincoln Square 13 doesn't care. And there's an AMC I think out on the Island that will hold the food for you so you don't have to throw it away. On our way out we mentioned to him that our seat didn't recline and he suggested we tell the person at the box office and that we could get a voucher for another showing. We went over to the box office and told the guy Theater 1 Seat F15 didn't work. He didn't notate it anywhere and went right back to his phone. So no voucher for us! These tickets are not cheap. The least we should expect are working seats.

The theater has some of the most comfortable and roomy seats you're going to find. The theater has a small, basic concession stand where you can get some snacks. They don't do reserved seating, so you line up and when they let everyone in you go inside and sit where you want. You're never going to catch a Marvel or Batman movie here. Wrong venue. I cannot believe our seats moved during every action scene. Only downside was this couple sitting next to us who wouldn't shut the heck up. Without giving away the movie you do need to see thunderbolts (new avengers) before seeing this Spiderman. I was happy to see one of my favorite stranger things characters in the movie. I didn't feel any mist in my seat because the boring couple next to me turned theirs off. I was so happy when the lady went to the bathroom I was able to enjoy the movie more. I recommend going to a higher level to watch the movie I was in D13 & D14. Next time I will sit further in the back because there were some scenes that I saw flashing lights in my side view. Either way it was wonderful for my first time. I don't recommend getting popcorn it will fly everywhere. Haha. While the ticket prices were high its worth it in my book. Your paying for an experience. The loud banging noises were super cool. I did notice the isle seats move a lot more than the inner seats. I think this will be the only way I will watch marvel movies from now on! The seats were clean, the floors were clean. I was pretty surprised at how clean the theather was overall. Don't come tho if you are going to be a chatter box. If you have add you might get distracted by the moving seats pop an Adderall if you need too! I can't wait to go back to experience scents to certain scenes. I'm definitely seeing doomsday at this theather. But I am gonna try to sit in row H or I so I can see more visual effects. Still not bad for my first time.

The theater was clean, well maintained, and the staff we interacted with were friendly and pleasant. Our seats were comfortable, and one feature we especially appreciated was the built-in trays. It's such a simple detail, but it made a big difference for our kids--they didn't have to balance popcorn, snacks, and drinks in their laps for the entire movie. The only downside was that the sound seemed a bit louder than necessary during parts of the movie. It wasn't enough to ruin the experience, but we definitely noticed it. Overall, we had a great visit and would happily return for another family movie night. The comfortable seating, thoughtful tray tables, and convenient Times Square location made it an easy choice for celebrating a special occasion.
