We came here for Jujutsu Kaisen movie, auditorium 9 and it's so run down and messy. Our seats were D5, D6 and there was something spilled all over it, leather seats are so scuffed up. Never seen it this bad in any theater. Won't be back here. read more

This movie theater is located in the Springfield Fall. Parking is plentiful. The leather seats are oversized and recline. They are so comfortable that I could fall asleep. The theater has a bar area with alcoholic beverages. The concession stands offer standard theater fare. The theater is very clean and well maintained. The staff provides good customer service. I've been here a few times. Some care is needed. It does not look as if anyone cleans between shows. The last time I went, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I had to use the one outside the theater. The food quality has declined, but the prices have gone up. The ticket kiosks outside the theater do not work. I do not recommend this place at all, the customer service is absolutely terrible!! I went up to the counter the lady did not greet me whatsoever she just starred at me when i asked for the movie and seat she just had a fat attitude. If youre not going to be greeting people we should make you work in the back. After that I said thank you and have a nice night and once again I just got starred at. I don't believe she was hard of hearing so i dont know what that was about. Number two when I went to give the guy my ticket he once again didn't greet me. I came here with my kids and Mom a couple weeks ago to see Transformers One. First time here and I'd see a movie here again. Located in the Springfield Town Center on the upper level parking is plentiful. Tickets are available to purchase online or at the kiosks there. The seats recline and are stadium style. We had some snacks and the price was par for movie theaters-expensive! This is a close theater for me so I'll definitely keep it in mind in the future. read more

So disappointed. There was a massive smudge on the projector completely ruining the experience. I'm not one to complain about the little things, and understand these things happen. However, this wasn't so little. The only way I can describe it, is when you stare at those hidden pictures and your eyes adjust to see it. Everything else goes blurry. Thats what kept happening to me over and over until I got a massive headache about 15 minutes in. My family was fine, but my eyes just couldn't stay focused. After speaking with staff three times we were told management said they would not fix it during the movie. I spent the the entire movie with my eyes covered so I wouldn't feel sick. I didn't want to turn it into a big deal and ruin the experience for my family. They had a good time and thats what mattered to me. It just sucks when you spend nearly $100 to experience something with your family but couldn't enjoy it. read more

I got food poisoning there and was throwing up for three hours had to be taken to the Emergency Room from the theater. It was so bad and apparently the lawyers there are afraid of regal because they are scared to take the case. read more

It's decent. One thing I do like here is the big screens that are clear. The stereo system they use in here is high quality as well. Yet going here means going to Springfield Town Center AKA mall. That can be a frustrating experience. Even more so it can be challenging if 95 has an accident or traffic volume. I like the employees here. My guess is they are understaffed, but who isn't right now. Movie tickets here are rather pricey. Yet part of that is it is in a major shopping mall. If you're in the area it'll work. Seats are fairly comfortable, and again the audio/visual experience is pretty good. read more

Let me first start by saying that this review is not about the movie that we watch - it's about the movie theater. The leather recliner chairs in theater #2 looks gross, unsanitary, and broken. See for yourself (video attached) What happened? The cost of a movie (+ food/drinks) for 2 people is about $60 so I expect that the theater and its recliner seats are in good condition. Almost all of the seats upholstery have faded out and the seat we were assigned are broken. Something needs to be done about this. The movie goers deserves a nice looking seat to watch a movie. read more

Went to see Insidious 3 yesterday. Shout out to Patrick for the delicious drink! Our entry was quick and easy. The picture and quality of the movie was great. Now to the cons. We sat in the back of the theater and the seats we got looks like someone used a strong cleaning agent and pretty much stripped the leather look off of the seats. They were all white. Another complaint is that I saw a fruit fly passing back in forward in front of my face. I left the lid on my drink until i was ready. The lid for the alcoholic drinks do not have a straw hole so i slid the lid to the side and left a small gap for my straw. By the time the movie was over, the lights came on and im at the bottom of my drink, that damn fruit fly made its way in to die in my cup. Hopefully it got to taste some liquor before its demise. Im just hoping i wasnt drinking it the whole time with it dead in there. ugh gross. read more

Now that I am older, I came to really appreciate Watching movies at the theater s. And with the regal unlimited subscription. I can watch as many movies as possible as long as they don't overlap (I've seen about 15 films so far). And with Regal Springfield town center it really makes my regal unlimited experience the best. With the very comfortable reclining seating, the nice and patient staff and the cool temperature inside the building. There is no reason to go the movies here. But reading all the other reviews. I can see where there are some flaws. like how some of the chair arms are scratched, the end tables are a bit chipped and how there are some popcorns on the floor. But I mean what do you expect, when hundreds of movie goers come and go with limited staff. And some people treating the place poorly. Overall, a great place to watch any movie. And I highly recommend getting regal unlimited subscription only if you are going to see more than 2 movies a month. Because then it will pay for itself. Okay bye for now - Wilson read more

First time going here and it wasn't the greatest movie theater I've been too in the area. Park closer to the parking garage for quick access to the mall and entrance to the movie theatre. On a Friday evening it wasn't packed but our seats were taken so we had to sit somewhere else. Very dissatisfied that there wasn't some kind of regulation so people don't take the seats that I picked when buying tickets online the previous day. The seats do need a little fixing cause of wear and tear but it's still comfortable. Food was good but inflation. Otherwise the experience was great. read more

6/8/21 Yesterday my wife and I decided to go to the movie theater and watch a movie.  The movie we picked is called Spiral. The movie happens to been a spinoff from the Saw Series, but has elements of what John Kramer wanted with the brutality of Amanda and Hoffman. I learned the meaning behind the name and it has to do with what John Kramer said to...not going to ruin it for you.  If you saw any or all of the Saw movies, than you might know what I am talking about already.  Enough said.  The movie was good, but I figured it out not to long after it started. I would have liked it if I was wrong, but I wasn't.  Still, I liked how Chris Rock played a serious roll.   I would like to see more of this style of acting from him. The movie theater was pretty empty,  but this is, because people were already watching movies. The theater did not have everything you could eat on the food menu. Food preparation wasn't done yet when we arrived.     Still talking to the employee (who's name I have forgotten) was a pleasure. She had a great attitude and wonderful smile.  Apparently we brighten her morning just by talking to her and making her laugh. As The Joker once said to goon, "haven't you heard the healing power of laughter?" The employee would remember us for most of the day. The cheese sticks dipped into cheese sauce tasted better than dipping the cheese sticks into ranch sauce.  My wife really enjoyed the pretzel bites. I went with the Mountain Dew frozen drink.  My wife went with a large cup if water. When we were heading to theater  4 (my favorite number) we saw a signs for a movie called Snake Eyes and Chang Chi: Legend Of The Ten Ring.  Without looking up the name of this movie, I wonder if this character was introduced in the Doctor Strange movie?  I would say yes, but I will find out sooner or later.  Still, I am glad to see more movies coming out as more and more people are getting vaccinated and fighting off this Coronavirus.  I must also say I saw movie previews and posters of Samuel L. Jackson in a lot of upcoming movies.    Watching the movie preview for The Protégé was exciting.   I like watching Maggie Q movies.  I think Michael Keaton plays fantastic villains.  I knew of one movie where he played a villain in the movie Pacific Heights, but never saw the movie. My first movie where I saw Michael Keaton play a nasty character was The Founder. You don't see Keaton's nasty side until half way through the movie. It really hits home if you have worked for McDonald's.  I am digressing again.  I saw Gretchen F. Talked about how the new lounge chairs are bigger so less people will be sitting in the room.  I have to agree with her on this.  Still these chairs are very comfortable.  After eatting I put my seat back  and enjoyed the movie.  We were the only two people in the movie theater for Spiral.  This was an outstanding experience.   Nobody sitting next to us. No crying baby ruining the movie.    On our way out of the theater we saw the inside if the unisex single use bathrooms. The one I used just happened to be near main entrance.  The unpleasant smell of urine in the toilet wasn't a nice thing to see.  I don't know if the toilet was broken or someone didn't bother to flush, but it was a nice thing to see...or smell.   Aside from seeing the mess in the toilet, the rest of the bathroom was very clean.   This movie theater  seating us definitely something and it kicks the hell out of many other movie theaters I have visited.   We or I will be back to see the Maggie Q movie The Protégé.   It feels good to ba back to the movie theaters because it has been longer than a year since I have been to the movies.   A sense of some normalcy has returned.  Eventually people  not masks will be a thing of the past.  I look forward to it. read more

My husband and I went to this theater for a date. We saw fall guy on 5/22/24. Our intention was to eat dinner before hand, but it didn't work out so we opted for getting some pretzels and popcorn from the concession stand. We were us over to the bar by the attendant, saying that we could also order concessions at the bar. We ordered two soft pretzels medium popcorn. My standards were not high because this is a movie theaters after all, but the pretzels were stale, cold, and far from soft. It honestly tasted like cardboard. And I guess I was expecting something edible. The popcorn was cold, the " butter" was room temp. It just wasn't good. We spent almost $40 on this food. But this pills in comparison to what my husband saw in the dark while the movie was going. He saw rats running behind the heads of the people a few rows in front of us. we were on the higher platform so we could look down into the front section and he saw what look like large mice with white fur scurrying along behind the heads of the seats. He didn't even tell me about it until after because he said he didn't want to ruin my last 10 minutes inside of the theater. No doubt I would've screamed if I had seen them. Anyway, we really wanted to explore this mall more since we live close but I don't think we'll be back to the theater just because I don't think I'll ever be able to get the possibility of a rodent behind my head out of my mind. There was also a very odd distortion that almost looked like large grease smudge in the middle of the screen. Today I had by far the worse experience at regal thus far. This is my local movie theatre I've come here for years & all hours of the day. This is the first I've experienced such an interaction. On Tuesday July 9th I received very hostile behavior from the authorities as I did nothing wrong! The interaction gave me severe anxiety as I despise aggression from authorities when I am aware of my rights from my wrongs. I had kindly asked 3 females to please move their backpack from my seat, I had also made sure I had the correct seat numbers prior as any customer going to movies would. They had contacted an authority member without leaving their seat hence they were a family member or someone known to them. She came in very hostile & screaming which caught us off guard as the girls had already removed the backpack & allowed us to sit in our seats no questions asked. Therefore I thought there were no issues or need to show them my ticket, until we had a lady screaming at us saying "DO WE HAVE A PROBLEM" I let her know the situation & showed her my tickets. The authority later left after realizing she was in the wrong & we had the correct seats to begin with. I'm highly upset at what happened Today! Springfield regal lost another customer. So everyone was filtered to the snack lines to buy tickets was almost out the door. It was about a 45 minute wait to just buy a ticket. Mind you this midday on a weekday. This is seriously our new fav movie theater! We came here to see Blank Panther (#WakandaForever) opening weekend and EASILY reserved our seats and paid via the Fandango app (highly recommend!). Our movie started at 7pm however we didn't arrive until about 7:05pm, but we weren't worried or rushing at all since we knew we had reserved seats (top row, to be specific). To the nitty gritty - What really sold me on this theater are the comfy reclining seats WITH pop-out trays to hold snacks, drinks, etc as well as the amount of space you have in front of you for leg room in comparison to other theaters. As stated, we were in the top row, but from what I could tell all of the rows in the theater have this extended area. No more turning sideways and squeezing past people hoping not to knock over a drink. It's seriously a good 3feet worth of space between you and the next row. Freakin love it! Oh, FYI the seats come as pairs. If you're in an odd numbered, party someone is going to be stuck either by themselves or with a stranger. I also made a stop at the concession stand for snacks because I gots to get my movie theater popcorn and icee! The line moved pretty quickly and the young lady who took my order was super helpful! I also noticed that this theater has a bar area with high tables (fancy!). I didn't get a chance to check it out that night, but I'd definitely like to check it out on my return visit! That's right, I'll definitely be back! I was a little bummed, though, that the theater didn't have any giant posters of new movie releases, specifically Black Panther, as I was looking forward to taking pics in front of it, but other than that this is a very clean and snazzy theater. I went here last night to watch a $5 show of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. One of their soft re-opening selections. One of my favorite flicks of all time. The theatre is located on backside of mall and you take escalator to 2nd level. It's ok I guess. Recliner seats but as usual it helps if staff is helpful. I walked in and didn't see anyone to scan my phone for entry. I went to a guy at desk and he pointed me to go somewhere else. Bathrooms are small and really for one person at a time. Other theatres you can get 8+ people in there. The one I used wasn't entirely clean at 6:40pm in the evening. They need to check that more, at least hourly cleaning. read more

My experience at this movie was not pleasant yesterday. The popcorn was stale and the leather chairs were worn and cracked, they looked white. The trays were worn and scratched. I have always had a wonderful time and enjoyed going to this theatre in the past. However, until they replace the chairs I won't be returning. Hate this since it is so close to where I live. I know it must be becoming tougher for theaters to compete with everyone's comfy living room or bedroom because most movies are just a click away on various devices. Why spend the money when you can wait a few weeks and download it? This new Regal Cinema located in the newly renovated Springfield Town Center will definitely change your mind. First, we were able to pick our exact seat when purchasing our tickets. Online, they give you an assigned seating map like buying a concert ticket. Then there was the full bar and lounging area inside. The coffee wasn't too great but sipping on a glass of wine while watching a movie is pretty cool. The best part were the seats. Wowzers! The extra-large, electric, recliner seats were fantastic. Oh my were they comfortable! In fact, they were so comfortable that when the lights went out, I immediately began to fight sleep. I honestly think we both fell asleep for a good 15min cat nap (the movie was slow in the beginning lol). I like that you can pull up the arm rest and get close to your date and there is enough leg room that you never have to worry about getting up if someone needs to get by. This new kind of arrangement makes for a smaller, intimate theatre. I will definitely be back. Cons: The loads of rowdy teens in the lounge/waiting area. I'm hoping the smaller theatre and pricier ticket will deter them in the future. However, it was a Friday night. read more

Husband bought four tickets to a movie a few weeks before it came out and we have been eagerly awaiting going to see it. Fast forward to yesterday, we show up and are told that the movie is playing in auditorium 2. OK, our tickets say 1, but whatever. Head to auditorium 2 and realize that we have 4 seats in the handicap accessible row, and as such, two of those seats aren't actually seats, they are spots for wheelchairs. Hmm. Husband goes to investigate at customer service and is told to leave the theater and go to the box office. As the movie is starting and we are sitting in the two seats that we actually had tickets to, another guest shows up with the same tickets. So there's me and my gf, both able bodied individuals, sitting in a specifically designated disabled person's seats. I am obviously MORTIFIED and feel like a huge jerk. We walk up to customer service just as the person behind the counter (the second person my husband has interacted with at this point) is telling him that she can only issue a refund as there are no other screenings to said movie with any available seats other than the front row. This woman was not apologetic and actually acted like we were somehow an inconvenience to her! So apparently, they sold us tickets to a movie that did not actually exist and somehow we were the problem. What a waste of time and money. All of our snacks (about $40 for popcorn and soda/water for 4 people) went in the trash as we left. I will NEVER set foot in this theater again. I was so embarrassed and instead of an apology we were met with total and complete indifference and attitude. PS. A quick glance at their Facebook page shows we are not the only people this has happened to. read more
