My dental hygienist was great. Great office staff. Not much interaction with the dentist yet so cant really comment on that​

I went in for a crown and a cracked tooth Dr Carter and his assistant did an amazing job on My tooth. I did not feel any pain from the shot he gave me or the work he did on my tooth. The front staff are amazing they are very knowledgeable and very nice. I highly recommend Regency dental. The Hygienist was very informative, friendly and took her time to explain everything she was doing in my mouth. The appointment wasn't rushed at all. The Dentist was also wonderful, took some extra time to explain an issue. All the equipment used was very UTD which makes things so much easier! All the front desk staff was kind, also explained the bill/prices etc. All in all a great experience with the office! This office is great. It's been about 20 years since I've gone to a dentist and I was expecting the worst at my initial exam. The doctor was great at answering my questions and is very personable. I went back the following day for my first teeth cleaning and Betsy the hygienist was great. She was fantastic at explaining things to me and giving me lots of details. I also had some sensitive areas in my gums and she was very understanding about that. Sure the reception area isn't large with tons of televisions but I think the care and hospitality the office provides definitely makes up for that. Dr.Donna is a nice, patient dentist- no doubt about that since my family members and I have all great experiences with her. The downside though, her office is not modern and there are no televisions. It seriously reminded me of dental offices I visited as a kid in the early 1990's. As an adult, all of the previous dental offices I've been to always had tv's which is nice because it allows you to focus on something else while they're performing your treatment. Another issue I had was one of the front office ladies was not friendly in the least. In addition to all of that, I received a $150 bill in the mail for a missed appointment. That's insane! I've never ever paid such a high amount for a missed appointment and most missed medical/dental appointments I've had never charged such a ridiculous amount, if they charge anything at all. Needless to say, I definitely won't be back. There are way too many dental offices that are more modernly equipped and don't charge ridiculous missed appointment fees. read more

Came in for an x-ray and checkup. Dr. Burton gives it to you how it is. As grueling of a process a dentist check up is, Dr. Burton was thorough in explanation, which is something I expect. Happy that they have coupons of toothpaste and mouthwash in the front. Above average experience. read more

Dr Donna is the very best. I have never had such an amazing experience in a dentist office. Everyone that works there is kind, knowledgeable, and considerate. Dr Donna saved my tooth when I was told I needed an immediate and costly extraction and implant by another dentist. She was also patient with my anxiety and didn't make me feel rushed. First, let me say that I have been going to Dr. Burton for at least 20 years. I have never been unhappy with the service they provide. I try, like most of us, to keep up on the maintenance and when I do it pays off much better. My visit today was the dreaded emergency toothache visit. After spending most of the night tossing and turning I called the office at 7:45am and talked with Christina who has been there forever and it is always great to hear her voice. Needless to say they were able to get me in right away and within 30 minutes I was in the chair and getting x-rays done. After a quick physical assessment by Dr. Burton she believes the best treatment plan would be for a endodontist to evaluate and treat this tooth. As soon as I agreed, the wonderful Tara (Dental Assistant) and Christina had already called the endodontist office and arranged for an appointment for me the next morning. Dr. Burton offered to numb the tooth for me so the pain would be managed well for the next 4 hours or so. I did not feel like drooling for the next few hours so I declined. She also offered to order me a few pain pills to get me through the next 24 hours but I had some at home already. I am so pleased that I have Dr. Burton and the Regency Dental Team to rely on when my teeth fail me. I must also mention Betsy the Dental Hygienist who is faithfully cleaning my teeth. She is a wealth of information and always very professional. I'm sure I am in the dog house with Betsy as It has been close to 2 years I think since my last cleaning. I will be making that appointment as soon as I get this painful tooth fixed. As I looked through the other reviews on here I see several that say all good things in the notes but they only give 3 or 4 stars. I don't understand this. One person wrote that it felt like they had 4 hands in his or her mouth and was complaining they pinched his lip against his teeth. Yes, I'm sure it was painful and I am sure it was not done on purpose. They are working in a very confined space and have a job to do. Kudos to whatever Regency Dental staff member took the paperclips away from a 1 year old child that the person that posted the comment thought was an appropriate "toy" for a 1 year old to play with. Bottom line is Dr. Burton and all the staff that work there are GREAT!!! read more

I think I sat in the waiting room for 45 mins or so before being seen, they were annoyed that I had a 1 year old with me, and they took away her paper clip telling me that I could let her play with paperclips at home. What really freaked me out was that they told me that I did not get an extra cleaning while pregnant, so I was worried thinking we'd have to pay out of pocket the whole time. I was right, and they were misinformed. You DO get 1 extra cleaning while pregnant. Going to try out a different dentist next time. read more

I have found the best dentist ever in Dr Burton. She is great! She is straight forward about what she recommends and gives options if you want an alternative. Always makes me feel extremely welcome and comfortable. There is no way I would Ever go anywhere else! All the staff are great but I'm going to mention a few people that have stood out to me. First, from the moment you come in, Christina greets you with a smile and is super friendly(and awesome on the phone!)....Beth was an awesome hygienist(I think that's her title?)....and of course Dr Burton herself who is soooo personable....and finally but most importantly TARA!... She is an amazing person who always treats me as if I were part of her family or something because she goes out of her way to make me feel as little discomfort as possible and makes me feel that she genuinely cares about me and my wellbeing. I absolutely love Dr. Burton and her staff!! From my first appointment I was always treated kindly with compassion and the staff understood my dental anxiety. Dr. Burton drafted a treatment plan and we proceeded. She always spoke to me about my family/work/school things and was personable. I spent an entire day in her dentist chair for cosmetic work on 4 teeth, so you can say we all bonded that day. Since I have moved away (I'm sad she cannot continue to do my dental work), I am still able to ask her for a second opinion before any future treatment and I appreciate that she takes the time for me still. Arrogant invasion of my privacy and misuse of my personal information! I explained to the receptionist that I was not going to provide my social security number for identification purposes. She said that was the only way they could identify me to my insurance company. It finally took a fax from my insurance carrier to convince them they did not need my social security number. After making an appointment, I filled out 7 or 8 forms and then the receptionist wanted to make a photocopy of my driver license. Seriously? You are welcome to look at my government issued ID to verify I am who I say I am but under no circumstance are you going to make a photocopy of my driver license! This office does not understand the need for people to protect their identity from theft and in their arrogant way of going about things, they put all their patient's identities at risk. So I not only wasted my time helping this dentist learn about the errors in their own procedures, I wasted my time on an appointment that never happened. On my first visit to Regency Dental, I have to say that the treatment was pretty rough. I did have a lost filling repaired, so certainly expected discomfort. Being in my mid 40's I've been to the dentist many, many times and had numerous cavities as a kid, therefore I'm not immune to the discomfort of the dental chair. I don't have a phobia of dentists or require any special sedation - just a run-of-the-mill patient. I also have lost 2 other fillings in the past year & a half that were repaired by another dentist with much less discomfort. The dentist and her hygienist seemed rushed and rough. At one point it seemed that all 4 of their hands were in my mouth. They pinched my lip between the instrument and my tooth and stretched out my lips, cracking them a little. When I spoke up, I was offered lip balm. I was satisfied with the end result of the work itself. I wasn't exactly thrilled at coming back but thought I would give them another try, rather than try to find another dentist and start all over again with someone else. When I mentioned my prior experience to the hygienist this time, there was no empathy or the slightest bit of apology for a bad experience. Her unfriendly response was, "You need to say something at the time it's happening". I told her I had. She said she would mention it to the dentist when she saw her. It wasn't until the end of my cleaning that I was told I wouldn't even see the dentist (she wasn't even in the office that day). She would review my pictures/records and call me with a plan (will likely need a couple crowns). This was a first for me as I'm used to seeing the hygienist first, followed by the dentist (this is the norm in the last 3 dentists I've seen in the past 10 yrs). I got a call 2 days later, not from the dentist, but by her office staff to call them so they could go over the recommendations. Additionally, when I first entered the waiting area on my first visit, the waiting area was very loud. They have a piece of equipment in the lobby, which I think makes their ceramic crowns. It seemed to be in the middle of making one, which was very loud. While I can see why one would display the latest technology, it interferred with any sense of calm you'd think a dentist would want to maintain. read more

I wish I could give a 5 star review, but this dentist has proved that the bottom line is $$$. She performed pretty extensive work for me over a period of years. I went to get some final work done when I knew we would lose our coverage due to a job loss. A week later, the filling she did cracked, and since I no longer had insurance she couldn't give a care less. I worked so hard to give her trust and work on my dental phobias and she shattered any confidence I had built up. read more

I have two front broken teeth. Both of them have had temporary composites on them for about 20 years. I had decided to finally have my two front teeth veneered by Dr. Burton. However, she didn't veneer my teeth. Instead she put lumineers on my teeth. I feel like she did not adequately explain the difference to me! I was expecting my teeth to be shaved down and to have a more natural looking result. But Lumineers just lay on top of your real tooth with little to no prep work. I was mortified!!!! The result was horrible. My two front teeth were bulky, longer than normal and the color was wrong! It was a nightmare. When I told Dr. Burton I was unhappy with the result she made me sign a waiver saying I would never take legal action against her and in exchange she gave me back half of my money. I ended up flying down to Orange County to see a cosmetic specialist who had to remove the Lumineers and give me proper veneers. It took me 3 trips to Orange County to get my two front teeth perfect. Cost me about $5,000 with plane tickets but was worth every penny. My mom, sister and myself had been going to Dr. Burton for 10 years for our check-ups and cleanings. None of us will be going back after this. I'm happy my tooth nightmare is finally over! read more
