The regency delivery people damaged our wood floors in 2 areas (dragged the couch with cardboard and staples on the outside against our wood floors, creating a 2 foot long gouge and another 1 foot long gouge). Damaged to the extent that our entire floor needs to be redone. I notified regency immediately when this occurred and have gotten the run around ever since. This happened in July of 2024 and we are now in February 2025. We call almost weekly to get this resolved and are always told the same answer "We will reach out to the delivery team and they will be in touch". We have received 3 separate quotes and submitted them months ago and still have not had any resolution. Every time i ask to speak to someone else who can escalate this, I am told there is no one else to speak to other than the delivery team which they cannot provide me the phone number for. I wish I could give "0" ZERO/ZILCH stars. Please do not come to this location. Go to another location or maybe even better, try a different company. The staff at this location are extremely unprofessional and have clearly been using the "COVID-19" shipping delays as an excuse for their poor customer service (I use the term customer service as loosely as I can). Today is April 10th 2021 and my mother and I went into this location on October 11th 2020. Imagine her STILL waiting for her bed set. When she placed the order for and paid for her bed-set, she was quoted 8-12 weeks. That time came and went, so she called the store and they quoted an extension, and we went to the store and they told us by the end of March. The manager Wasim from our first two encounters was extremely condescending and the manager we dealt with today, Luis wasn't helpful. the saleswomen there completely ran circles around providing her a clear answer and never gave curtsey or follow up calls to at least let her know that shipping would be further delayed- not to mention the headboard and am other piece came and no one called my mom to tell her after they said they would call her as soon as they received even a few pieces. My mom just randomly called them in the beginning of April and they still gave poor customer service with no real shipping estimations or clear answers. This has been one of the most terrible furniture experiences that I have ever had. There order was a month late, after they tried to deliver the couch, the couch was unable to fit due to the ceiling height. After the deliver guys took the couch back weeks went by without the company following up on the refund. Had to call the company for 3 weeks before getting the contact number for their financial department. After finally getting them on the phone you have to wait for the company to call you back in 72 business hours in order for them to consider giving you your money back. Aaaaaand the keep 30 percent of what you spent to "restock" their failed delivery and the entire delivery fee. Also the is a chance you may not get you money back after that is all said and done you only get.....store credit. if you enjoy a predatory experience thAT is down to clown and drag out the process and sap all the energy you have left to get back whats yours. I have had a great experience with customer service at Regency's Langley Park Location on two separate occasions. But this review is designed to give Lorenzo, the salesman and his management team a shout out. It's easy to write negative reviews because there's so much bad customer service out there, but I can't say enough about this positive experience. I went in with another store's prices (Ashley) and the prices were honored!!! Lorenzo was extremely cordial, helpful, and answered all my questions. I take my money seriously so I expect good service. He and the manager were extremely fair and even negotiated my price point. I have only been treated respectfully and honestly. No gimmicky, pushy sales. I'm just waiting for my delivery and If all goes well, I will update my rating to a solid five. But the sales experience is a total 5 stars right now. read more

Wow..didn't know that her favorite word 'Unfortunately'...would be why im writing this negative review. ***Review Update: We recently went to a Regency Furniture in another location close to home and were told that our bed mattress was sold incorrectly to us. We should've never gotten the box springs because it made our bed too high. I was already okay with the fact that our bed was too high, but to hear that it was sold to us due to lack of understanding was disappointing. Not to mention that the customer service at the Langley Park location was just plain rude and demeaning once I called to ask them to correct this info for future clients so they wouldn't repeat the same mistake. Shelli was a good salesperson who seemed to try to help us get the best deal...but this was upsetting that LP didn't know how to sell their mattresses. Also, it wasn't until I moved some furniture that I found out that the delivery crew scratched my walls. Very disappointed! Came to the Langley Park Regency Furniture location. We were greeted by Shelli Suleiman and she was a GREAT help to us from the very beginning! She showed us around the bedroom section until we found what we were looking for...and then some. After we thought we had found what we liked, we asked to go back and check another option and she was kind enough to lead the way and was very patient and explained the differences between bedroom sets. If I could I would give this furniture store negative stars. It has been the WORST customer experience of my life. I ordered a bed and it took almost two months for the bed to arrive. When I called the store for follow up all the staff were extremely incompetent, including the managers. My whole family purchased furniture from here and they didn't take this into account and continued providing the worst service. The mahogany-look sleigh bed with headboard and footboard is fine. The UNSAFE parts are the three slats provided -- not the five required by mattress set warranty and common sense. AND the slats are made of particle board -- not real pine, so they're weak. I guess we're just supposed to drop to the floor one night when we're sleeping. Buyer beware! read more

I went to the Regency Furniture in Langley Park over the weekend to shop for furniture for my new home. I was unable to take my time to shop around because the store was too hot and I am 31 weeks pregnant. I asked the rep if he could ask the Manager to raise the AC because it's too hot and he told me that they don't control the temperature. So i had to go to my car to cool down so i can continue to shop but i was not able to do so. I honestly feel bad for the employees because 1) it's hot in the store & 2) we are now required to wear a mask so you can just imagine how hot it was. The store was nice and the people who worked there were sweet but unfortunately i wasn't able to buy anything due to me being too hot and also being pregnant and wearing a mask, it was just impossible. I originally posted a different review of this location but after my latest interactions I have to change it. After purchasing multiple pieces of furniture from Regency Furniture at Langley Park on February 18th I was set up for delivery that same Thursday, February 21st. Everything arrived as expected and on time; however, the delivery and set up crew would not take the last sectional (couch set) down to the basement due to it being too large to fit. The crew called Regency customer service, they got on the phone with me and notified me that it could take 2-3 days before the item was scanned back into the warehouse - at which point I would hear directly from the store about my options. I was notified on February 26th that the furniture had been scanned back in. I was called on the 28th from the store telling me my only option to get my money back was to come into the store. I notified them I'd be unable to since I am out of the state for several weeks and that even when I do return I would not be able to travel out to them. The rep I spoke to, Christian, insisted that I had to come in. I asked for a manager to call me back to see if alternate arrangements could be made and did not hear from anyone again. I called again today (3/4) and reached Victor the store manager finally and he refused not only to give me his last name, the publicly accessible location of the policy where it states that customers have to come in to get refunded and he stated that it was only internal. I asked Victor to email me this policy so I had it in writing and he refused. He also refused to assist me any further in the conversation and insisted I come in to the store. I then hung up and called Regency Furniture customer service and they informed me of the same "policy." I was told to reach out to my credit card company if I wanted to get anything else done. I had the worst experience with the staff here - both with the rep Christian and the supposed store manager Victor. This will teach me to ignore other customer reviews in the future! read more

TERRIBLE!!!! Do not trust anything this store tells you! If you must buy here, know you will be in for long waits, horrible customer service and no warranty that actually covers anything. I bought a cough for my new home from Regency. I looked around and found one I loved. They said 4-6 weeks for delivery (though the sales person said it was likely to come sooner, which I knew was no guarantee). 2 months, 3 months, 4 months later, the couch had not arrived. Then, when it did, it did so without the ottomans, which took and other month or two. Customer service was awful. People didn't call you back or when they did had a hands-off "sorry about that" demeanor that didn't help in the slightest. Then, delivery could never happen -- and I refused to pay additional for anything else to this horrendous company (especially when they reneged on free delivery which one person had offered to "compensate me"). So, out I arranged for transport and help and picked up the couch myself. However, please take note, that then when something breaks-- like this couch did shortly after using it for no reason at all-- they will not honor their warranty because they said I picked it up!! No follow-up, no apologies, no concern whatsoever!!! It is a terrible double-edged sword that shows how little this company cares about their customers or the products and quality they sell. Ordered furniture from this location back in Nov. 2011 & utilized their [layaway] to make my payments. Delivery/Shipping was included in the final price & I was directed to call in a week prior to my final payment to discuss delivery. Received a call the week of 1/15/12, to tell me that my furniture was in the warehouse and that if I wanted to, I could have my furniture delivered. When I shared that I would be paying by check, I was informed that I would have to wait 10 days for it to clear & that if I was able to come in to make a payment or call-in w/ my credit card, that could speed up the process. I called the store on 02/01/12, (after seeing that the check had already been processed/cleared), & spoke with Victor, (after speaking w/ someone else who at first told me that my furniture could be delivered in two days and then telling me, no I had to wait), who directed me to call in the AM & speak with "Mr. Dana" to see about expediting my delivery, (as I had paid with a 'Bank' draft and not a personal check). On 2/2/12, spoke with "Dana", who informed me that he could not schedule delivery before the 11th, (and wasn't sure why Victor told me otherwise). He assured me that someone would call me on the 10th to give me a 4-hour delivery timeframe. By the time I realized that no one had called me, it was after the business had already closed on 02/10/11, so I called this morning (02/11/12), at 9:00am and was told my furniture was not in the store/warehouse and so, there would be no way that I was told that my furniture would be delivered today. When I challenged the young lady, (who later told me that she was the Supervisor on call as Dana wasn't in), and told her that Dana himself had scheduled my furniture delivery, she continued to tell me that she wasn't sure why I would've been told that as there was no furniture in the warehouse/store. When I shared that I had seen that they have a history of issues when it comes to delivery, (and other issues), and I am willing to file a lawsuit if I have to, the young lady told me to feel free, I'm still not getting my furniture today. When I called the store and spoke to the salesperson who assisted me originally - Jairo - he indicated (at first) that he has no control over the delivery department. A few minutes later, after checking and seeing that contrary to what I had been told, my furniture is NOT in their warehouse and was NOT scheduled for delivery, he indicated that he could schedule my delivery. When I questioned how I was supposed to have faith in his being able to do what a Supervisor of that department (Dana), couldn't do, his response is - because I give you my word. When he realized that I was not accepting the run-around and that I wanted to speak to Dana so that he could explain the discrepancy to me, he digressed and said he would TRY to get Dana to call me back. I'm serious about attempting to file a lawsuit, as it seems that they have no regard for their potential customers. They currently have an "F" rating with the BBB, as they fail to respond to and/or resolve complaints brought to their attention, (had I known this before I ordered, I would've never ordered from them.) I have filed a complaint with BBB, placed my story on several online review sites, (i.e., Yelp, Ripoff Report, etc.), and will be reaching out to both the Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs and the Office of Consumer Protection for Montgomery County, MD. read more

And when you catch a an attitude with them they won't give you a refund and say you can only get store credit and have to pay a 30% restock fee. That's completely crooked! I understand there is a pandemic going on, but at least let me know how far were looking to when I'll get my item. Because of COVID, we knew there would be delays but nearly 3 months later, we have the table but no chairs. Regency's shipping kept pushing back the delivery date. Told us chairs would possibly be delivered between mid November and DECEMBER 31st! Unacceptable. We had to keep calling them for updates. They never called us. Finally just got our money back and found the exact same chairs somewhere else for cheaper. This place is THE WORSE! I purchase a three piece living room set in August 2020. Since that time, they have been stringing me along and I do not have all of my furniture. I finally got two of the the three pieces but now it seems they give me a date that the furniture should arrive in the warehouse, and then when that date passes, no one calls me or emails me to tell me what happened. I have to email them and then they give me another fake date! Whenever I call, a manager refuses to take my call and they claim they will get back to me but they never do. They try and blame it on the pandemic but I do not buy it. They take your money during the pandemic and so they should be able to deliver a product during the pandemic. Do not waste your time with this company. I ordered lot of furnitures before my wedding. I ordered it three months before my wedding and it was all agreed with the sellers it was going to be deliver the date we agreed. A week before my wedding I still didn't get the furniture and they keep telling me they get there. They keep on telling this day the delivery will show up and it did not show up. Like three times they missed the delivery. The staff at this location was not helping at all. They're all rude and lazy to help customers. They didn't wanna help me figured what was going on. The delivery came out of no where without a notice and I was in my honeymoon while they came. So they just left again and after I came back again they didn't wanna lease my items. I paid for the delivery that they delivered. I had to go my self and picked up My stuff. This location in Langley park they really unprofessional. The delivery service was terrible. Had my bedroom set delivered on May 24th, 2017. There were two men who arrived and from the start were very mouthy about what they were paid to do. They made inappropriate comments about me and about getting my things in my home. One deliverer had asked my friend if she can help lift things to my apartment. And the other deliverer had no problem co-signing to everything the other deliverer says. I will NOT recommend anyone to Regency simply because the delivery service was garbage! I have scratches on my brand new night stand and dresser! Such poor service I will NEVER buy anything from there again. I was in dire need of a new couch; sofa with a chaise. I came across an interesting one (i.e., had storage and two small ottomans to sit-on and pulls-out into a "couch" bed) that I like at Regency Furniture that was not available on-line. It was everything I wanted. The sales associate quoted me wrong for the sofa during my first visit, so I was quite disappointed when I return during my second visit to buy it. I wanted it for a lower price and the sales associate was not negotiating with me, so I stormed out the store. The Store Manager, Wasim, came to my rescue and was able to negotiate a deal on the sofa that I would accept, and I received an extra $50.00 for paying the couch off in-full (on top of the negotiated discount). I still paid more than expected, but I appreciate the extra mile Wasim took. He deserves kudos, because I am very much a difficult customer. He did all this and still gave his sales associate (who I was initially dealing with) credit for the sale. What an awesome Store Manager! I went to purchase a bed mattress at this store. I was told that it would take 12 days for it to arrive at the store. I waited 14 days and had not received a call that the mattress was ready for pick up. When I called they told me that it was not there yet. After waiting four weeks I finally received a call that it was ready. Once I went to pick the mattress up, the guy that helped put it on the truck was very rude and was rushing as if I was holding him up and he said that it was not his problem if the mattress did not fit the way I wanted it on the truck. read more

I walked in the store on New Hampshire Avenue on the Sunday before Memorial Day. I had $2500.00 in my purse to spend. Nobody greeted me. Nobody said "May I help you?" A young African male mumbled something to me but he was clearly not in the furniture selling business. Finally, I asked an older black man, "Do you have any female sales people." After around 10 minutes a women asked what did I need? I said I have cash and I wanted to buy some furniture and showed her a sofa/loveseat that I liked. She said, "Thats not in stock (contrary to the signage). It will take 4 to 6 weeks or longer to be delivered." I looked at her. I waited. I looked around the warehouse. She said, "Look around and I'll be back." I was flabberghasted and insulted for Regency Furniture. Justin in Glen Burnie branch was very helpful and he knows how to behave with customers. When i went to Catonsville branch the sales person John is really good. But the manager is very worst, he doesnt know how to talk to customers. He will not be fit for this position. I m sure all the customers felt the same with this branch. I just wish that I would've read some of these reviews before I purchased with Regency. Here is a copy of an email I just submitted on their website. It seems that my store is similar to stories from 2013. SMH 'On July 4th I purchased furniture with the understanding that it would take 4-6 weeks for delivery. As of today, September 5th I still have not received my furniture. Since the 6 weeks have passed, I have made two phone calls to your Brandywine store to find out where the furniture is; I was told that the furniture would arrive on August 30th. Today when I called the store, I was told September 11th. At this point I am highly disappointed with the service that I have received from the Regency Furniture Company. As a customer, I should not have to play detective to get reliable and truthful information from your company. I would like to know exactly when the furniture will be ready, and what percentage of reimbursement will be offered since its been 8 weeks (and counting) of waiting for my furniture to arrive. For future transactions, I would like to suggest that you actually 'serve' your customers and inform them by phone if their furniture will not arrive by the agreed time frame. Never again. If you thought that Comcast was one of the worst-reviewed companies in Yelp history, Regency Furniture will be taking the reins very shortly. There an old saying that goes something like this, "If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it's a duck." Well, Regency Furniture is surely the loud quacking duck in a game of Duck Duck Goose. I came here in March to purchase a new couch for my apartment. My couch that I had was given out and it was time for a change. In comes Regency Furniture. I found a couch that I wanted, all I needed to do was talk to a salesperson and get the necessary paperwork out of the way and then have it delivered. A legendary rap group once said and I quote, "Can it all be so simple?" Well, Regency darn sure did the complete opposite and made it more complicated then it needed to be. The salesperson tells me that my furniture should take 2-6 weeks to arrive at the store. I confirmed this upon paying half of the purchase order. Now here comes the waiting game. 5th Week - No call. Now usually, a good company would go ahead and call you a couple days in advance to let you know: a. the furniture is here and we will deliver it in the next couple of days, b. the delivery will need to be delayed due to the lack of furniture. Well, Regency failed here. I called the store to ask for an update. I was told the furniture would take another two weeks. Well, alrighty then. 7th Week - No call, again. This time, I call the store and I'm told that the furniture was put on hold again. After asking to get a discount or free delivery and being refused, I went to the store to speak to the manager (this is after I was told a manager would call me back days before, and never did). After the manager gave me a spill about how the sequestration was affecting the delivery of a piece of furniture that was coming from China (yeah, go and laugh), I was told I would be called promptly once my furniture arrived. 9th/10th Week - You getting the picture? Another day, another visit to the manager at the store. This time, I was going to get the corporate office and the Better Business Bureau involved after being told from the manager I could not get a refund on the half that I put down on the couch. After the threat, I given people to talk to at Corporate. I talked to people at the corporate office, and was once again given the run around. After being told that my furniture would definitely be at the warehouse at a specific date and given free delivery, I sat and waited for the next 2 weeks. Oh yeah, the person at corporate said she would call me back whether or not the furniture was there or not. 12th week - No furniture, no call from corporate, no call from the local store, nothing. Now, I'm already pissed that I have to go through this whole experience, but now I'm very pissed. I called the local office, and this time I was given ANOTHER delivery date, which would put my expected delivery date 15 weeks AFTER I originally ordered the couch. Now, here is the point where I am pissed off. Remember how I said that I was told 2-6 weeks for delivery? Well, during the 8th week, the local office tells me that since I had a "special order", that delivery was 8-12 weeks. Why in the blue hell could I not get that earlier? Oh, what also is laughable is that the corporate office tells me that the same special order would actually take 8-16 weeks. It is unbelievable how out of sync two offices working under the same corporation can be. I'm pretty sure it's embarrassing. After getting irate with the lady on the phone and the manager that I already visited twice on the phone, I am told that they will give me a refund on the furniture. OK, why in the world did it take you that long to give me a discount, after you told me that you could not give me one the first time? At this point, I just wanted my money and get this business out of my sight. Since this review is so long, I will give you reasons why I gave Regency Furniture 0 stars (don't pay attention to what the Yelp bar says, my review for this place is 0): 1. Lack of orderly customer service 2. Lack of sympathy from the local store 3. No call from my Sales Associate throughout the entire process 4. Lies and deceit 5. Confusion 6. Frustration of the entire ordering process I will never recommend this place to anyone. This is one of the most poorly-ran organizations within Maryland, and I have had the privilege to examine and do business with many companies. Even though I got my money back, I will still be looking to file a report with Better Business Bureau. Save your money, they sold us so called leather furniture only to find out by the warranty company that it is not leather, had it under 6 months and the manufacturing warranty and the warranty that we purchased don't want to cover the chipping that is taking place, the manager is rude, no one wants to help, no such customer service, alright filed a small claims suit! read more

If I could give this establishment a negative rating I would. Regency Furniture is nothing but a scam from the sales associates in the store to the customer service representatives in the corporate office. I am literally sick to my stomach that I ever purchased furniture from them and I pray that others read their reviews and run the opposite direction! In June of 2015, I purchased a bed frame, headboard and two night stands from this location. This is when the nightmare started. When my furniture arrived the items were different colors, they didn't match the colors on the box and one of the night stands was broken. I was told there was nothing that could be done because I should've inspected that furniture before it left the warehouse. I have never in my life heard of such a thing. Why would I take my furniture out of its packing prior to delivery to risk damage? Whatever, I get over it and live with the mismatched furniture because honestly what can I do at this point I've already paid for it! Fast forward a year later here we are now June of 2016 and my bed is just days from completely falling apart. That sturdy "wood" furniture that they sold me is more like a cardboard painted box chipping left and right. The leg supports that are suppose to hold my mattress up have all completely fallen off and the frame is wobbly. I finally decided to call to file a claim since I did in fact pay for a 5 year warranty only to find out that they stole my money. I was told that the warranty does not cover damage to furniture beyond stains, change of color from the sun, or chips in the paint. Although I am furious at this point, I tell the representative on the phone that since they can't fix the broken wood pieces she can send someone out to fix the chips in the "wood" frame. (At this point I don't even know why I'm surprised) Stacy, the representative on the phone tells me that because my furniture is damaged they won't come out to repair the chipped "wood". THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. THEY ARE GOOD CON ARTIST AVOID THIS PLACE, YOU WILL SAVE MONEY, TIME, ENERGY( because you are going to be frustrated with this people ). I read some of the previous reviews for this place , and I can agree with all the bad reviews about this place. We bought a bedroom set, we were told that it was going to be delivered in 2 weeks, and we waited like 6 weeks, when the delivery came, they told us that some pieces of furniture did not come with the delivery, and that we had to call them back so that they could order the missing parts, we have been waiting 2 months, and we have not heard anything about it, when we try to call , all we get is bad customer service, rude managers, and we are still waiting for our furniture. If you don't want to get frustrated like us , avoid to buy anything from this place. Also if anybody knows how we can make a complain to some state consumer regulation or any entity that we can complain about this place, let us know please, because this place needs to be regulated, they lie and they don't care once you pay, they don't care about you. read more

This company is pure phony baloney. Their customer service is terrible. The manager in customer service is a nasty woman. They tried to deliver our furniture at 7:00 AM!!! Who delivers furniture at that time? Then they have the nerve to want to charge us again for the delivery of the furniture. I don't want to waste more time on this business, so I will keep my review short. Bought a bedroom set from Regency. Added an extra nightstand to qualify for free shipping. But still paid delivery fee since the salesman told me if I paid the delivery fee, I would get free shipping/delivery in a year if some items need to be sent back to manufacture for warranty service. For peace of mind, I took it. 1, An item was defective when we received it - one of the nightstand drawers easily gets off its trail when pushing in or pulling out. 2, I contacted the customer service later about the issue. Without even checking the item, CSR told me that (1) it were me who broke it; (2) there is no warranty on this item. 3, Filed BBB complaint, and now they admit there is one-year warranty with the item, but they still claim that I broke it - without even checking the item.
