I've been to Reggae's Jamaican grill on three separate occasions and wanted to lump in all 3 visits for one complete review. Located at 3073 Anderson Snow Rd, Spring Hill, Florida this establishment has limited parking during peak hours but overall accessible. The exterior and interior of the restaurant are kept clean and neat and overall a good atmosphere with reggae music usually playing. The first time I came here I almost walked out because of the shitty service at the front of the store! I believe her name was "Shirin" or something close. She was cold, not delightful and overall not very helpful with the menu. I just ordered a beef Pattie that day and it was flavorful with a good amount of meat and the dough was flaky, airy...overall very tasty. The two other times I went in I had Jasmine helping me. She was an absolute delight and full of hospitality. I ordered more food than I could eat just because of how warm and welcoming she was. I ordered the OX tail that comes with red beans, rice, cabbage and plantain. The meat was tender, well seasoned and the rice, beans, and cabbage complimented each other perfectly. I now will call ahead and ask if Jasmine is working when I place another order there, as far as the other employee...I hope she finds a job where she doesn't deal with people. Decent brown stew chicken, oxtails and jerk chicken for the slim Jamaican offerings we have in this area. The cabbage was cool but the rice n peas are a bit bland. Can't wait to try the fried chicken and Mac. I've been back a few times and most likely will again. read more

Fantastic tasting food. Provides authentic taste and heat so be careful for spicy sensitive people. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Food was hot and fresh. I ordered the curry chicken, rice & beans, cabbage and a ginger beer. The curry was a little spicy--that's the way I like it. Seating is minimal--one bistro/high cafe table (4 people) and a lower bar counter (6 people). The area was clean. The music was too loud (bistro table is in front of speaker). The young lady was very hospitable--taking order, making suggestions and friendly service. Vinson came from the back and greeted us before we left. No sour sop; too full to try the sorrel juice. I was hungry for Jamaican food so on Saturday I went there for lunch at 11am. I ordered jerk chicken. The chicken was cold and dry and looked like was a leftover from day before. I got a leg and two very very small pieces of chicken bones with very little meat, and two small pieces of the back bones with no meat hidden under the small bones with little meat that I just mentioned. I was charged $15.98 for this lousy garbage food! I feel I was cheated not just in food but also overcharged by a $1. I have been eating Jamaican food my entire life, but never such a low quality cold Jamaican look a like leftover food. This was my first and last visit to this horrible restaurant!! Jerk pork plus cabbage = keto heaven. Nice first experience. They let me sample the stew chicken and curry chicken. The stew chicken had good flavor but be careful as chicken can get mealy after sitting in sauce for too long and that was what I sensed when sampling the stew chicken. Owners make sure to taste that chicken daily and to rotate it out once it starts to acquire that gritty, mealy mouthfeel. The curry chicken did not have that gritty mealy consistency so I imagine it is a more popular seller with more turnover. I decided to go with the jerk pork without sampling it. Glad I did. Just the right amount of heat and many of the pork chunks still had the pork belly fat attached which I used little nibbles of to go with the meatier mouthfuls. Overall I'm happy with this keto meal. Had a Jamaican spicy beef patty and it wasn't too shabby. Didn't eat the whole thing because I don't want to kick myself out of ketosis, but at least I got to sample it. They asked me if I wanted any sauce on my cabbage and I said yea to the oxtail sauce and it was a lovely match with the cabbage and jerk pork flavor. read more

I just relocated to the area from Atlanta. And you know Atlanta is well known for good food. Especially Caribbean food. So finding this gem in Brooksville/Spring Hill area has made me feel so much better. Authentic JA flavors. Fresh. No canned food here which I can appreciate. So many restaurants water down their food and authenticity to save and make more money. So glad I found this restaurant. Right up the road from me. Clean establishment. No lines. No wait. Friendly. Large portions. Great prices. You can't go wrong. This is the closest you'll get to the Caribbean islands in this area. 5stars ALL the way!!!! I hope the owners see my review. Food was OK. But just that- hardly any meat in my curry chicken. VERY bony. Rice was just literally rice and red beans hardly any flavor. But the curry was the reason for the 3 starts, although bony- had flavor. Not spicy like real Jamaican food though. Cabbage was bland. OVER PRICED!! Usually Jerk Chicken is way to spicy for me, not here, it was perfect! So tender and yummy! The Curry Chicken, Stewed Chicken and Salmon were all amazing! You can't go wrong! I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the place is, because I had read reviews and thought it would be "so so". The food tasted good, and the people running it were very nice. The prices were just about what you'd normally pay in a small Jamaican restaurant. They also have some pre-packaged goods for sale (i.e. baked) . Just finished the Ox Tail dinner and it was exceptional. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, well lit, enough seating for everyone. At 8:30pm, people were still spilling in. The other Jamaican spot near me, is the exact opposite. Dim lighting, the staff are less than inviting, and you the menu is always scarce. I hope this place stays open. read more
