Went back to Regina's on a Sunday for brunch. The place was packed, but the wait wasn't too long (reservations are recommended though). We had a great version of shakshuka, this one containing not just (poached) eggs, tomatoes and zug sauce, but also roasted sweet potatoes. While the taste was great overall, the sweet potatoes are what really made this dish outstanding. We also had the lion's mane mushroom sandwich with fries. The lion's mane mushroom had a nice outside coating. The weird consistency of the mushrooms was more noticeable in this dish though than in the dinner entree we had here before, where the lion's mane was used in a gnocchi pasta. But the taste was still quite good. The fries here are always good, whether their basic ones or the Japanese-style seasoned Totoro fries. Service as usual was excellent -- friendly and efficient. I was really excited to try Regina's because I love little local spots! We tried Regina's on a rainy week day and easily found a seat. The waiter was extremely pleasant and competent. The pink interior walls are a bit jarring but the banquet was quite comfy and welcoming. Honestly one of the best biscuits I've ever had. It came loaded with bacon, scrambled egg, and gooey cheese.
