I've never been here before because I don't really drink beer. However, I came here for a work dinner and had a great time. I ordered the Hofbrauhaus Grapefruit seasonal beer and it was great (because it doesn't taste like beer haha). The atmosphere was very lively with live music and sports games on all the TVs. We also ordered the schnitzel, the party platters, and wurst platters. The best dishes were the wurst, sauerkraut, and German potato salad. Service was spotty at times but just grab any server. It was a lot of fun if you have a group.

Came here for a work happy hour and it was a great time! Huge German sports bar with a lively live. Good beer and cocktails. Solid small bites to enjoy. Amazing, kind service

It is a nice place. Like in Munich, Germany. I enjoyed a yummy chicken schnitzel there! They serve it with tasty salad.

It's not a bad place. I love the German aesthetic. That's going on. Definitely look like a fun time for beer fest me and my friends. We stumbled in this place on a very quiet night much wasn't happening. They had a live band there which was nice not saying I enjoyed the music, but it was nice to see a live band. The food was decent. Honestly was nothing special about it, but the service was good. I just felt like it was a late night when we was going and it was closing up so I feel like in a way this is an unfair review since I didn't get too much but when I go again on a better day, I will give new review

Wednesday before thanksgiving. They closed early but we showed up 1.5 hours before close. Bad form, I know, but we already made plans to gather here. We got our food and drink orders in quickly, ate, drank and hopefully did not piss off the staff. Beer selection is good, happy to have a lighter lager that stayed nice and cold. Was excited for the pork knuckle. It came out a little dry, and I suspect it was reheated via frying as it came out a little too dry and crispy but I get it. They're not making these to order. Party platter had a large selection of sausages, along with soft pretzels, meatballs and chips. If you have a group it's a decent order. Would come again for schnitzel and maybe give the pork knuckle another chance.

Friend hosted a large gathering of ~15 people here. Liked that it was pretty spacious Saturday midday, and we were able to order on separate tabs. The beers are pretty good, and the flight is fun. I didn't try any food, but some friends got some and it looked really good.

I love Bierhaus NYC! We've visited here twice, both times after touring the UN. It's a great place to get a meal or a snack with a good beer as you chat about past, present, and future domestic and foreign policy. My favorite meals on the menu are the schnitzels. The jägerschnitzel was huge, a great entree to share, and came with potato salad, cucumber salad, and warm red cabbage salad. We paired it with our favorite beers and were not disappointed. The beer hall is perfect for groups, large and small. There are also TVs available to watch the key games of the day. I definitely recommend Bierhaus if you're looking for a fun vibe that also fills the soul.

We loved bierhaus NYC!! We stumbled upon it when i was trying to take my fiancee out to a different German beer hall. We were not disappointed! It was fun drinking beer out of the huge boots and watching people do simultaneous shots on a ski! The German rock and roll band was great!! All in all a successful day drinking experience and absolutely will return!!

I really enjoyed this spot. Great beers, friendly staff and cool environment. There was a live band when we came on a Saturday night. We also came the night before and all the TVs had sports playing which were great. The staff was really friendly and always checked up on us. Highly recommend.

Good service and food in a German ale house environment. Brat and pretzel done right.. spätzle was fried and not good.

It's the Oktoberfest vibe all year! So much fun for group happy hours with friends or coworkers! Pro Tip! If you come for the beer, don't miss out on the two liter boot!

$24 for two beers on a rainy Saturday. The beer was nothing to write home about and the service was incredibly lackluster. Even though we were one of seven people, it took ages to order and then even longer to get our bill. We had planned to order multiple beers but unfortunately didn't have time given the delayed service and attention. The place is cool inside and incredibly spacious. I think if it was better staffed I'd probably have a better opinion of the spot buuut I've been to many beer halls and this one is one I would skip if you're not just there to take photos!

I got takeout but the atmosphere and customer service were great while inside. I would just comeback for the vibes. The food was alright, the currywurst had a small bratwurst with a lot of fries. Better portioning of fries to bratwurst would've been better. I was glad the sauces came separately, the curry sauce gave sweet butter chicken. The pretzel and cheese sauces were great, but would've liked more salt on the pretzel. I would recommend the smaller pretzel, since the big one was super filling!

Hey guys! I want to bring a group of friends here for my boyfriends birthday. I keep seeing reviews about the food and great service but, I was wondering what the night life was like?

This place is great. Long picnic tables to drink at, usually a German band, lively night life!

    Sorry, we do not.

We reserved for a quick bite at Redeye Grill before catching Dog Day Afternoon on Broadway, but as soon as we walked up, some bouncer told us they were closed for a private wedding reception. We were dazed and confused because how was I able to reserve online? But the real plot twist was that it ended up being the best thing that happened. We actually stumbled into Tanner Smith's thinking it'd be the typical, boring bar-food spot. Nope. They first sat us at a hi-top by the door, but that wasn't our vibe, so we grabbed seats at the bar instead. Best decision. Our bartender, Josiah, was absolutely killing it. My cocktail had passion fruit, so of course I asked my usual question: "But is it real passion fruit?" He just nodded in agreement and that told me everything I needed to know. That drink was legit and had nice strength. The food was great too. My fish tacos were packed with fresh fish, the guacamole and salsa were chunky and full of flavor and hubs enjoyed his pastrami sandwich. I have no clue when we'll be back in Midtown, but one thing's for sure- we're sitting with Josiah again.

Two-part, proper settle, tight dome, no rushing it. That's rarer than it should be in Midtown where half the bars treat a stout like a lager. The JRB burger comes on a house-ground patty (they grind in-house, and you can tell, loose texture, actual seasoning), caramelized onions cooked down all the way, not just softened, good cheese pull. Fried pickles on the side had a crisp cornmeal shell and stayed crunchy under the burger juices, which never happens. Buttermilk chicken salad was the surprise. Chicken actually brined, crust stayed on, greens weren't an afterthought. Only real knock: music was loud. Not sports-bar loud, more like the bartender's playlist got away from him. Fine at the bar, harder at a table if you want to talk. Room's got real bones. Reclaimed barn wood, old rail track as a foot rest, that big 45-star flag on the wall. Been here almost 20 years and it's aged into itself. For the neighborhood the pricing's fair. Beats P.J. Clarke's on the burger, loses on quiet. Go for a beer and a burger, not a date.
