    Sinful cinnamon pretzel
    Lynn T.

Got 2 cinnamon pretzels on 2 separate days. The first time around it was a bit softer. I ordered on the app, told the cashier I was here for a pick up. She was interesting.. kept saying "what?!" "Who?!" then eventually got my pretzel. It was slightly warm, but not as buttery as I thought it would be. Auntie Anne's has a more distinct buttery, cinnamon taste. Second time getting it the cashier was different and friendlier, but the pretzel itself was harder and more charred on the bottom.

Got the cheesy dog bites to share with my boyfriend. One order came with quite a lot of of the cheesy dog bites. They tasted pretty good and the cheese part on the outside was crispy which added some texture to the dog bites. Giving them a 4 star because they didn't look very appetizing. They looked very burnt but thankfully they didn't taste burnt. Will probably come back again if we are around the area looking for a quick bite!

Dry and expensive. Auntie Ann's could never serve something so mediocre. Located at 59th street train station, they had a line, but everyone seemed disappointed when taking their first bite. Won't waste my money here again.

Got a Too Good To Go bag. The pretzels were ok...not the best I've ever had. Honestly, I probably won't go again, it just wasn't for me.

For the type of music they played (exclusively 60s and 70s) it would have been better if it was more in the background than in your face loud. The music became kind of monotonous...mixing up the decades/eras would have been more enjoyable. The service also not great. The beer and drinks were delivered quickly. My favorite is their Dunkel it's very good! It took a long time to get someone to take our food order. Food was served rather cold and my chicken schnitzel was overcooked and dry. We have the same restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio and every time I've been there we have had a blast. There weren't many people even on a rainy Saturday night and I can see why. We were hoping for a fun night out, but it was more of a disappointment.

Upon being seated, our waitress was quick to offer water and other drinks. The light beer they offer hit the spot after being outside for hours. The chicken sliders were delicious. Our entire table ordered some kind of slide and we all enjoyed. They had the ceremony on the TV, followed by world cup matches. Not too crazy inside. Clean bathrooms. Nice outdoor balcony to people watch.

If you're looking for an authentic German pub experience on the Upper East Side, Heidelberg is a…read moreneighborhood classic. It's located right next door to a German butcher, which adds to the old-world feel before you even walk in. We've only visited the small outdoor seating area along 2nd Avenue, and it's become one of our favorite places to relax, enjoy a drink, and watch the neighborhood go by. The patio is fairly small, so tables fill up quickly. If you're bringing your pup, I'd recommend a carrier or having them on all fours. There just isn't enough room for a stroller without making the space feel cramped. The star of the menu (at least for us) is the giant soft pretzel. It's perfectly warm, chewy, and served with Dijon mustard--simple but absolutely delicious. If you're ordering beer, be prepared...the pints are enormous! Mom isn't much of a beer drinker, so she ordered the rosé cider instead and loved it. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is friendly, and it's an ideal stop if you're looking to unwind rather than rush through a meal. Dogba's Verdict If your humans enjoy a good German beer, a giant pretzel, and a little people watching, Heidelberg is definitely worth a stop. I'll happily supervise from my carrier while waiting for pretzel crumbs to magically fall my way. 4 paws up! Pup Perks * Dogs Welcome Outside * Carrier Friendly * Dogs on Leash Welcome * Not Stroller Friendly * Giant Soft Pretzel * Massive German Pints * Excellent People Watching

This was a place that we walked past about 875,000 times. And said "we should check it out…read moresometime." Sometime became today! And boy, were we in for a pleasant surprise, as we truly enjoyed ourselves. No one does beer hall like a German place. This is just facts. We had the Berliner Weisse, which comes in a .5L or 1L boot (does German beer count if it's not in a boot?). This was a delicious raspberry syrupy undertone wheat beer, and definitely a must have for next time. Though there were like a dozen other beers I need to have. They also have a pretty extensive wine selection, if that's your thing. We were there for a brunch. When we arrived, before 1pm, it wasn't busy at all. By the time we left, it was pretty full. The bar had seats though. Anyhoo, I tried their "energizer" which were eggs any style (poached for me), creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Never had a breakfast like this one! It was almost like a deconstructed eggs Florentine. YUM. My husband had the Heidelberger which was a German style hamburger with frizzled onions and mashed potatoes. He let me try some, it was pretty fantastic so I may need to try it sometime myself. Also do not miss their ginormous Bavarian pretzel. It was quite possibly the best I've had (and I've had many!). The service was outstanding, and the vibe was ... I dunno a step above what you saw in Fast Times where they go to the German restaurant. My only regret is that I didn't get the apfelstrudel. Next time! Washrooms are single occupancy.

It could also get you a 16oz beer or 2 tickets can get you a 32oz beer. It can get a little confusing and you have to decide ahead of time and the ticket lady seems to have to explain this to every person on line so it can move a little slower than it should, especially when she's the only person you can buy from. They eventually did have someone walking around to sell tickets. Some pictures on here show the standard bratwurst with a small pretzel, that is misleading because it doesn't come with it. The bratwurst was good though and the mustard is even better. I was eating everything with that mustard! Cocktails/mixed drinks are at a separate bar and that you can pay there. They have a ping pong table outside and lots of picnic benches for you to sit at, first come first serve. If you sit at tables at the ends of the ping pong table, know that the ping pong ball may end up hitting you a few times and help them out if you can by grabbing the balls and throwing it back!

The hot toddy I got was pretty good and I liked the flavor. The ski shot which is 4 shots of $50 was overpriced in my opinion. Unfortunately the actual experience was soured by the fact that apparently it's $50 pp min if you reserve a table and then in the end they tried to charge us for people who didn't show up even though we did fill the table. I understand the policy and the manager was super nice to us and tried to rectify the situation but our waitress ended up being super rude in the end. They gave us a small discount but we ended up having to buy a lot of tickets to use in the future. Wasn't too happy about how things ended so would probably recommend that you go in the evening to avoid crowds if that's not your vibe and also do not book a table.
