After all, it is always best to nip issues in the bud BEFORE a plumbing or gas line issue causes problems. Many issues you don't see because they are in the wall. Leaks etc. don't fix themselves and only get worse over time.My husband and I greatly appreciated the inspection that was done because several issues were found and fixed before disaster struck. This is the first company that had ever offered this service and we have lived in our home for over 30 years. Next, it was wonderful to work with a company that has people who speak positively about both the company as well as their co-workers including office staff. Another first for us. This type of Teamwork is much better than having people working at your home bitching and moaning about the company they work for as well as their co-workers. As the saying goes "Teamwork Makes the Dream work." Corny but true. Reimer Co. sent plumbers to do our plumbing /pipeline work. Not faux "contractors" . The people that worked with us demonstrated an impressive knowledge of all thing plumbing and they took their responsibility when working in our home very seriously. Yet another first....people taking Pride in their work. Our home was built in the 1940's . Now, you can not get parts for an appliance from that era and it appears a great deal has also changed concerning older vs new house parts. Back to the impressive knowledge statement......they were able to make the new and old systems work together seamlessly. The replacement parts that were used looked to be good quality. Not the lowest price/quality that may be used by other companies. For a drain replacement we were offered several choices at different price points which we appreciated...letting us decide what we wanted for our home. Nobody seemed to mind answering questions or explaining what they were doing. That is always a good sign. If a person can't/won't answer a question maybe they don't know the answer. This is the second time in a month that Reimer has come out to my home and delivered quality, affordable service. I am so so grateful that your company is in our area! My basement sink was backing up into my kitchen sink and causing my washer to malfunction and CJ came out and spent so much time diagnosing the issue until he was able to clear it! It's been a month and both sinks and the washer works fine now! He went above and beyond spending more than 3 hours here for what was supposed to be a routine service call! Then for all that work, the price was amazing. I was mind blown. Then just today, same kind of amazingness from Reimer! My furnace stopped working maybe Friday night, into Saturday morning where it would turn on but turn right off and not heat my house. It was supposed to be set for 70 but I woke up to 54 degrees. Eventually, I cancelled my service call because it started working again and I figured it would be fine overall. Chris was very reassuring on the line and gave me good advice on how to proceed and recommended a cleaning since it kicked back on and worked for most of Saturday. Also noting that if anything went wrong to call right back. Then when I got home late Saturday night, I found my house at 60 degrees when it was supposed to be set for 74! Needless to say, late on a Saturday night in our cold weather I was freaking out! Brett from Reimer came out and opened up my furnace, explained exactly what was going on and showed me everything as he worked on it. He tested everything out and got it up and running in no time. Thank you, Reimer's, for your concern for my boiler getting replaced as soon as possible and providing me with space heaters until the team came and worked all day and into the early evening soon after Chris Reimer evaluated the situation and explained everything to me clearly and provided what I needed to know to about the new boiler. Follow-up for some tweaking was needed after the job was originally completed by Keith the supervisor who polished off the job very professionally. The office staff also listened and assisted me very respectfully which made all the difference in the world especially as they are the first ones to hear an upset customer reaching out for help and they did a good job reassuring me all will be done soon after my call was made. Let me begin by saying that it is a pleasure to do business with Reimer Heating. A company that can be trusted to enter your home when you are not there and allows you to feel secure that you have hired honest and professional people to complete the job at hand with not having to worry. Dean, Allen and Jake were already working when my wife and I arrived at the property. Both old furnaces were already dismantled and outside. The first furnace was already installed, and they were in the process of installing the second. All three men were so very cordial and respectful. Dean stopped and explained every step they completed and went on to describe the rest of the job. He showed us that he already installed a smoke and Co detector near the furnaces that was required by code and assured us that he was going to inspect the two apartments and if needed he would install smoke detectors and Co detectors according to code. He was also going to have new thermostats mounted in each apartment and walk the tenants through the operating procedures. If your searching for a reputable company, you have come to the right place. Their workers are friendly, knowledgeable, provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond! This was the only company that I found that takes the time to educate you about heating and cooling. (Their website is excellent, reimerhvac). On Friday, I came home from a business trip to find my furnace blowing cold air. On Saturday, I called Reimer, the woman was excellent and set up a tech come over and fix my furnace. Although the part I needed wasn't available and it had to be ordered, Lou offered to bring over space heaters until he could get the part since it was so cold outside. Knowing my furnace was old and needed to be replaced I asked if it could be replaced instead. Lou explained all my options and assisted me in choosing the right furnace for a very reasonable price. I really did not think he would be able to put it in that day. But he made it happen! Mike came over on his day off and Lou stayed late to make sure I had a new furnace. Lou came over on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. After careful and thorough inspection of my boiler, an estimate for repair was issued at almost $900! I am a single woman who has guardianship of three grandchildren. I became emotional because this was no way in our budget. I highly recommend Reimer.I just had a water tank, furnace, and a/c installed five days ago. The installation crew of Shaun, Nick, and Jake were awesome. They were very curteous and professional.They were very knowledgeable and meticulous. It was nice to have a crew that took pride in their work. We had an emergency sewer backup that was flooding the basement with sewage. The house is 125 years old and the storm drain and sanitary sewer run together, so I was watching the water level rise!!! Contacted Reimer via website form and got an appointment in a few minutes. Later on the same Saturday Mike McQueen arrived and assessed the situation. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He got right to work in 20 degree windy weather. Worked on the problem non-stop for a couple hours. He had to open the front clean-out that was both welded AND frozen. Got it done and all is well. The value for his time spent and efforts to do the job right was SOOO worth it. Furnace replacement is a huge/stressful expense, and while a bit more expensive than some, my experience today with Reimer was worth the extra money. Dean and Nick showed up on time and explained things around the installation in a way I understood considering this is not at all my area of expertise, and then later explained how to use the new thermostat and change the air filters with the new unit. They were professional from start to finish, installed everything needed in addition to the furnace (thermostat, smoke/Co detectors), and they did a great job of cleaning up the area when they were done. Bought this older home last year. Paid for an inspection and , boy did they ever overlook a lot. Called Reimer last Spring and they came and replaced a heat pump right away. Very friendly and surprisingly affordable. Last week, I noticed water drops coming down from the ceiling above the toilet. The water line from upstairs bathroom was leaking into downstairs bathroom ceiling. Called Reimer and they came out the very next morning. Estimate was given right away which included the outside water spigot that never worked that passed move in inspection. I appreciated Sam taking the time to explain what he will be checking and, in many cases, showed me what was being checked and explained the reason why. My bar sink in the basement backed up and couldn't be resolved after several attempts by us to fix the problem I called Reimer (my company of choice). The plumber discovered I had a bigger problem in the sewer. Kenny and Josh came out first to power jet the line, but there was too much debris in the line so a day later Mike and Trey came out to do a complete descaling of the sewer line. My sewer backed up into my basement while I was taking a shower. I called Reimer because I know other people that used them had excellent service. They were there in a few hours they were so professional and courteous explained the problem in detail. Cleaned out the sewer of the clog and now everthing flows down quickly. They answered my call after hours rather than having a voicemail system. Lou was at my house within the hour, explained everything to me, and gave me the information I needed to make a decision. He got me scheduled for the next day for a new furnace install. Keith and Jeff took care of the furnace and partial A/C install the next day. Our furnace went out Christmas morning around 2am I had no idea what to do so I called Reimer the person who answered took my information and said someone would be calling back. it was Christmas morning so I understood and figured we would just have to get as comfortable as possible. We had our AC conk out right in the middle of the hottest week of the year. Reimer was over in under 2 hours (we did pay a little extra for "emergency service".) Lou was quick, efficient, and has us going in about 1/2 hr. He also took the time to go over our unit, talk about what we could do to make it run better, and go over some thoughts about replacement.
