I gave this location 3 stars (really a 2.5 but I'm rounding up). I so wanted to like this place, it's in a convenient shopping mall for anyone who is in the Upper Marlboro, MD area. Why do people continue to patronize this business? It boggles me. Piss poor customer service. Piss poor technique. Lack of color selection (actual colors of quality, that last and have high pigment) Lack of talent. From properly fitting a nail enhancement to painting. Just No. I'm convinced that the people that keep showing up here are either in desperate need of service or they know no better. I've tried Nick (back row, far left chair) , the older gentleman that sits next to the owner (woman with glasses on the left upon entry) and the women who sits to the right of Nick. The woman who sits to the right of Nick was probably the best in terms of technique and kindness (though it's very hard to understand her). She has a calmness about her that's welcoming whereas everyone else treats you like you're an inconvenience cause they hate their job. Nick is too emotional. Acts like a pre-teen. And thinks he more talented than what he is. See @nailcandyshop in Columbia, MD if you truly want to meet folks on trend and educated in the nail space My most recent experience was horrific. I had an appt at 3pm. Last minute emergency. Nick rushed through my pedicure and did a HORRIFIC paint job. And no, that's not glare on the toes--it's dips, grooves, foot dryness, uneven painting, uneven filing, uneven color.....just bad. I told him I couldn't walk out of there with my feet looking like that. He said it would be an additional $30 to take the color off. Keep in mind it has not had a top coat and been cured. He said my only option was to pick another color to put on top. Just to be clear--he's suggesting $95 cause he did a bad job. After he put another color on top and cured it, he refused any additional service but refused to say that directly. He said "someone else will do your nails." When questioned why because the appt was made and all services were noted, he said "take your complaints to the owner." He handled it like his 11 year old child. He walked away. He said "I gave you water." Which had nothing to do with the topic. Proceed with caution because these aren't cheap services ...cheap in delivery but not cheap cost. They want to charge $65 for a MEDIOCRE (at best) sugar pedi with gel polish. The saddest part....they gaslight you, all of a sudden don't understand English and make you feel like you're wrong for not wanting bad service. I don't know about you, but I don't have time to fight with service providers that don't care about the end product. Especially when there's a nail salon on every corner. There is a huge lack of customer appreciation and I'm shocked so many people patronize this place when J2 in Clinton is so much better (just to name one of many). After he cut my finger with a finger nail file I started recording with my phone down. He was rushing through the entire process. I wanted to RINSE THE POWDER OFF MY HANDS WITH WATER before he put cuticle oil on my hands and he wanted to argue with me about it. Then his extremely rude wife sitting next to him started aggressively mouthing off at me and talking to me crazy in broken English. I have come here twice and while they do accept walk ins and have a decent facility many of the technicians seem to not do what the customer request. The first time I came here I got gel for the first time and it ended up messing up my fingernail beds for months. It's took my nails about six months to grow back. I came back to give the place another chance and of course, the tech buffs my nail too much with the machine after I asked for a shiny buff only! They were completely unsympathetic and do not care about their customers experience. I would not recommend this place if you want a professionally done mani/pedi. Okay so I love Reju Nail Spa but you can get just any mail tech! You need Nick! He is the best! He is off Wednesdays. If you go on the weekend it's crazy busy and you will have a long wait. Book an appointment if you can! It's pricey, for a full set with removal, gel, a design it costs $65. For a pedicure with paraffin wax and sugar scrub it cost $65 , to do gel on the toes cost an extra $20. Worth it in my opinion because my toes always take so long to dry and get messed up. Sherry is the best nail tech here! She is very meticulous about her craft and will ensure that your nails look amazing when she is done. Not only is Sherry a nail guru, but she is an amazing eyebrow wax tech as well! My gel polish mani/pedi last 2-3 weeks. Only downside is I still have to wait around 25-30 minutes to get serviced with a standing appointment. I attempted to visit this nail salon on 5/29/21 after a recommendation from a "regular". The older gentleman at the front was extremely rude, the COVID-19 forms they ask you to complete were out so I had to wait for him to put another up for me after completing the form I asked where do I go next he was snappy and told me to "sit down right there"(while pointing) which was a barstool at the window blocking a table. I set there for 5 minutes waiting ran to my car to come right back, he yelled out the door to me and he told me "we are ready for, and you have us waiting" (only going to grab my headphones and coming back NEVER GOT IN THE CAR). He turned the water on and walked away. I had to ask another tech to stop his client and turn my water off and add hot to make it warm( the older guy only had it in cold) I set another 10 minutes in the water for same guy from the front desk to come tell me that "a regular just came in, so you will be after them" I put my socks on and walked towards the door a woman stopped me and told me I was next I told her "the gentleman just told me a regular came in, and I was after them" she replies "yes, that's right is that ok for you" I laughed and walked out. Why would that be ok? Her money spends just like mine, so why bump me because you are use to working with her? SMH..... This isn't my first time at Reju, it's 3 minutes from my house so I can't beat the convenience. But I will say it's always a hit or a miss no in between. I stopped getting my full sets or nails done here period but that was mostly misses but I do coke for the occasional pedicure. Today I had Mai/Michelle and my experience was so so. They nickel and dime you over everything. I had gel on my toes and they charged me to take it off without telling me it came at an additional charge. Which is crazy lol. How are you going to charge me to take off polish when I'm here to get my toes done. You can't do my pedicure over the polish already there. She told me the callus treatment was additional and I confirmed the total with my tech, as per the signs, just to checkout after my toes had dried to find my total to be $10 more than expected. I'm here. I need the pedicure. I'm going to pay for it. Stop sneaking fees in on the customers! I will say she did a great job exfoliating my feet and shaping my toes. All the techs have something they're really good at but it's overshadowed by the rest of the experience a lot of the time. If I could do 2.5 stars I would. I came in on Friday around 3:20pm for a gel mani and gel pedi. Both services (performed by 2 different men) seemed to have been rushed, despite my efforts to call out flaws that I saw in my nails and toes. Upon leaving and further inspection, I saw that my pedicure was flawed and my nail shape was horribly done, somehow camouflaged by the way the polish was applied. Do not go here! I called to ask specifically if they were able to file my nails in the stiletto shape. I was told yes and that they did not take appointments by phone (Hmmmm) but I could walk in? I had a nail that needed replacing, when he removed it, it was a green spot in the top from water getting inside. As he gets a new nail and glue, I asked could he use antiseptic oil to treat it first, he says, we don't have that..... it will grow out.. Me: confused as to why a salon would not carry antiseptic - said to him, I know as my nail grows it will grown to the top eventually but it will help to treat. Once again he responded, we don't have. He then preceded to cut my nails too low, where he could not successfully file my nails they way I asked him too! Long story short, A HORRIBLE JOB!!!! He rushed, and when I respectfully complained he caught an attitude, I asked to speak with (the manager) so I thought and asked her why would she say that they were able to accommodate me when they were not!! I got up very unhappy. She says you have to pay something / or half? He did cut and add acrylic but the cut was too low and the filing HORRIBLE! I left a $20 bill and left that establishment never to return!!!!! Ladies, we deserve, professionalism, honesty and quality work from an expensive nail salon!!!!! Got the Deluxe Pedicure with gel polish that cost $73. One day later my feet look like this....please dont waste your time paying for gel polish cause it will end up peeling the next day. Highly annoyed. I wanted a full refund but the website states no refund. Went back for them to repolish it and im sure it will peel off again Update. I was excited to pick out my color from their extremely vast color selection. My technician wasn't friendly but not unfriendly either. So he does my foot soak and scrub, callus treatment then clips my toe nails. Mind you, he never asked what shape I wanted. He clips them down then proceeds to paint. HE NEVER FILED, SHAPED OR BUFFED THEM!!! I have ridges in my big toe nail bed from my toe nails growing out, how could he not do that step. Not only that, my cuticles and the white tissue around it needed to be removed. The moment he proceeded to paint I knew he had to see that the nail wasn't smooth AT ALL and the nail shapes were uneven. Like a blunt cut for toe nails. It wasn't busy so he wasn't rushing or being rushed. I'm so unhappy, I won't even get into the full set-- let's just say I had to re-shape them On my own when I got home and remove the rest of the gel polish from my cuticles. read more

Getting my nails done here makes me realize why I drive an additional 30 minutes from my home to get quality nail service at an actual SPA. The two stars are for the welcome, using the polish I wanted and taking me as a walk in within 10 minutes. The nail tech I saw was "Michelle"? Im guessing on the spelling. However as soon as I sat down she began working on my nails. The bowl used are the same bowls I have in my home from a bowl and plate set from Walmart. Smh. Anyway back to the nail tech....I thought that I may add another color in the mixed and asked if they had a grey gel polish. She stared at me and then said "hunh" as if she could not make out what I was asking for. After I tried to explain the additional color I was considering and her still not catching on I said "never mind" and let her just do one color polish. Her laying out the polish on the nails is not good at all. She isnt precise with ensuring your nail looks well polished. She NEVER said anything to me while she was doing my nails. No conversation what so ever. She even tapped my hand lightly or the machine as a signal to insert my hand in the machine. Her massage was every bit of 5 seconds on each hand with a little tap of oil. Oh actually she did say something to me "Wash your hands". Smh. I responded with no soap right? Her response "anything you like". SMH. As I was washing my hands I noticed leftover polish on my skin around nails from when she polished. So I came back to the seat and she had went on to get her next customer.....really? So in seeing me sit back down she came over and just smiled at me. Smh. Now again thinking about good service, you check in to see if they like it, have any questions. Not her! So I tell her their is polish on my nails and she says "where show me?" (my insider voice says : Look for it thats what im paying you for. smh). So I show her and she takes out her little tools to peel my skin off where the polish was. SO TACKY! I cannot and do not desire to return here to pay $35 for a gel manicure and wouldn't suggest for you to do the same...at least not with her anyway. Oh let me also mention that her version of sanitizing the tools she used on me was washing them off with soap at the sink, wiping them off and putting them back in the drawer where she was sitting. I've been going here for about three months, and after reading these reviews, had I not had the pleasure of stumbling across Sherry. I would've never came back. Sherry is the best tech there! She is extremely meticulous with her work, which means you get supreme treatment from her! Sherry will not stop until your nails look amazing! She has brought my nails back to a healthy state after I went behind her back to another nail salon that destroyed them making them weak and brittle. My mani/pedi gel polish last at least 3 weeks. Sherry will recommend nail shapes, colors or services that will make your hands/feet look beautiful and healthy. Along with being a nail guru, Sherry is amazing at eyebrow waxing. I am very particular with my brows, and I was driving all the way to Calvert Co for my brows, but she has saved me from the long commute. The only reason I haven't given them 4.5/5 stars is because of the wait. I have a standing appointment every 2-3 weeks with Sherry and when I arrive for my appointment time, I still have to wait almost 25-30 minutes to start my appointment. Reju Nail Spa is TRASH and I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! I went in to get a pedicure and my dip powder nails redone. The Pedicure was fine, nothing special, sub par if I'm being honest. Before the Pedicure started I told the man that I wanted to also get my nails done. Once I said that he said talking shit and making noises and laughing. After the pedicure was done he told me he was going to show me the colors. Well I looked up and he was SWEEPING the salon, so I asked the lady who was fixing my sisters nails (that were chipped 3 days after being done.) And she too walked away. So RUDE!
