I'm a regular at relax feet but at times can be difficult to get to so I'm very happy this place opened up in this area!! The service here was polite and respectful. You will have to expect less frills but they do the best they can by providing a calm and nice place for you to receive your massage! Very affordable and the staff are professional. I did the combo massage and it was the perfect amount of foot massage and back, neck and shoulder massage. I personally like my massages deep tissue and more painful than average to get at my knots and my masseuse was more than willing and able to work at my knots and pressure. This also had hot stones included which was a pleasant surprise!! :) I gave this a 4 star rather than 5 (although I would give it a 4.5 if I could!!) is because I wish it was more clear on if I should be taking off my shoes at the doorway, what I should do with my bag, and it could use a little more calming scented items for the lotion, oils, etc! This is the 2nd time I've been there, and it was just as good as the 1st time. The massage therapist I had was Jack, he was great for the deep reflexology I needed on my feet. I deal with sciatic pain that travels down to my foot and this massage was exactly what I needed to take the pain away. If you like deep foot massage, Jack has the hands to do the job. It's a decent place to get a massage, nothing particular fancy that impressed me. I've had better massages, but have paid more. Like other reviews said it's open room and your clothes are kept on so I recommend lounge wear to feel more comfortable. The receptionist is friendly and my masseuse applies just the right amount of pressure. I feel they could have used a fragrant lotion. When they massaged my head and face, it didn't smell pleasing or was that relaxing because the lotion or the hands of the masseuse kind of smelled like sweat/a hint of an off-odor. But it wasn't enough to ruin the experience for me; the massage got better. I did the Groupon deal. I was able to make an appointment the day before. As I'm laying in bed the next day after my massage with extreme back pain, it's safe to say this place is terrible. I walked in after a long day of work looking forward to a relaxing massage. I got the 60 min reflexology body and foot massage. I've had reflexology before but it was NOTHING like this. They lay me down on my back first and she proceeds to start on my head and upper back. The lady was extremely rough from the start! It was by far the worst massage I've ever had. One point she was putting her elbow into my back when they flipped me over, and pressing down so hard I couldn't breathe for a few seconds. After a while I was praying for the massage to finally be over. The only good part of the whole experience was the foot massage and was the only part of my body where she wasn't extremely rough. After my massage I walked up to the counter, and then proceeded to tip. I saw on the counter that they prefer a $10 tip, but from my experience that didn't seem fit because it was extremely painful and not relaxing so I didn't feel $10 was sufficient. read more

This place gets 4 stars from me cause 1. They took me in as a walk in and 2. It's $28 for an hour body massage. It's going to be well worth your 28 dollars but don't expect an up scale spa service. Unlike other massage places they have you keep your clothes on and there are comfy tables/foot stools set up as beds you can lay on. They soak your feet in warm water first then slowly work on all the spots. My guy had a pretty deep pressure but it was exactly what I needed to loosen the knots in my back, neck and feet. And she did a great job on all areas. No complaints at all! As most reviewers here, we've all been to the foot reflexology options here in the city. Sure, there's not much privacy, but other similar places don't offer that either. I actually most times choose to come here because it's easy, I like that I don't have to go through the whole ordeal like traditional 'massage'. And you actually get a full 60 minutes - not 50 minutes. You can always get a person who isn't as good as others, but that's the gamble and c'mon it's $30. And it's always been useful for me to give feedback while I'm there, it works. I do agree it is not pleasant in the least when you get a smoker, but there are ways to avoid that, just request that. read more

The person who massaged me was sick. He sneezed on his hand and then proceeded to massage me with it. Despite how grossed out I was, I tried to not say anything. He then went to the back to cough up a storm and returned. For all I know, he could have TB. He did not massage deeply, despite me asking him to, and only focused on areas that were less work for him, just barely applying pressure. Eventually, a different gentleman came after I complained and the massage went well. A sick person should NOT be working and spreading their germs all over customers. read more

I have been to this place numerous times & I usually love it but today I went & got a therapist that gave me a horrible experience. I asked her not to massage my head and she did anyways. She seemed as though she fell asleep while massaging my feet . She seemed as though she was in a huge rush & the experience was just uncomfortable & painful . I normally would not put a complaint on yelp but I expressed my discomfort to the front desk & all I was told was to ask for a different therapist when I came back . I'm extremely dissatisfied. First time being back here since COVID started in early 2020, was my 4th time and I was sorely disappointed. Went in for a 40 minute foot reflexology massage this afternoon, had an older man (had only previously had women masseuses) who gave the most unenthused, barely there reflexology foot massage. Barely any pressure, and felt like he was killing 40 minutes staring out the front window rubbing lotion into my legs lightly. 2 stars because they did take my appointment and were ready when I arrived, place was clean with dividers between beds but massage was not worth it -- save your $$$ and put it towards a pedicure at one of the nail salons nearby, those ladies know feet! I've been to this place several times and I've left feeling very satisfied. One time, I even felt like I had a new body. It was wonderful. Lately, however, this place seems to be on a slippery slope. I had one of the worst experiences ever a few days ago. The environment is not very relaxing. It smells like a mixture of all the food the employees are eating. The music tracks have been skipping. And worst of all, the guy who massaged me had really dry hands and left me in a worst state than when I arrived. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but after an hour of throbbing pain, I knew he messed me up. (Is he new or something???) I'm insanely upset at how much pain I'm in. I've always been such a good customer (good tipper, referrals, etc) and I expect the same treatment in return. I was offered a free massage, but I went with a refund. In all honesty- my expectations are high for ANY business. Remember, my review is subjective to my opinion. I get weekly massages at similar locations in Chicago. All called "foot reflexology" or something similar. This is new place opening on North Avenue, most of the other places I go are a few miles away north- however I thought I would try it. I had a Groupon for $39, plus 20% off for 90 minutes. I knew what I was getting into, as I said they are pretty similar. However, super disappointed. I called 4 times, no answer. Then received a text message asking if they could help me. I booked a same day appointment for my husband and I, specific to asking for two female therapists. We entered the building to see there was little privacy. Usually there is some partition between the cashier and the massage area. Not here. In fact the massage lounges are so close I could reach out and hold hands with another patron. The lights were bright and not dimmed in anyway, so again with the environment and the privacy. I received a male therapist, but didn't complain. It's fine, but remember I did ask in advance for a female therapist. He forgot to cover me up, then when he did the towel/blanket was much smaller than those I am used to. His technique was awful. He did not massage, he rubbed. He rubbed until the areas were raw. I had to wiggle my foot to get him to move on to another area. I laid there simply waiting for it to be over. For the same price I would certainly try another "foot reflexology"- the massage should be relaxing, not making you regret spending $30. read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. You will have wasted your money. I have been to multiple legitimate reflexology spas and massage parlors and this is not it. My friend and I went for a moms night out expecting to have a relaxing massage and instead we got brutally worked over by someone's mother/grandmother. There was a point when they sat on my back and kneaded painfully. Please understand, they were not malicious, just woefully unskilled. I have never sat through a massage praying for it to be over. (And we both got a 90 minute massage so it was a very long wait) much to the point that I am now writing this review at the wee hours of the morning because I'm in pain. The favorable reviews are a bit suspect, because I truly don't understand how they can be operating in this capacity. Came away spending $75 and in pain. So so happy one of these places opened in the Wicker/Bucktown area. It's only been open 3 weeks, which explains the dearth of reviews. Like all of these sorts of spas, it's not particularly private; in this place you are in a big room full of tables. Great price - $28 for an hour. They also have a rewards card. Super clean, everyone was very nice. I would have given it 5 stars except I think the massage could have been slightly better. Don't get me wrong, though, it was still pretty darn good.
