Just wanted to add my two cents about Barons and this service. I'm having all the same issues. Parts I expected to be covered weren't. When I have a legit problem with a dryer trying to get Reliable to show up, as they are the tech that services the warranty, is near impossible. They were supposed to show up today, but the technician had an emergency and now I'm waiting to see when they can reschedule. it had been over a month since the guy looked at my dryer and said they needed to order parts. Completely my fault for making the purchase at Barons and relying on Reliable Appliances to honor the contract. Why? Because I knew who I was dealing with. My cooktop (still under warranty) has not been working. It's been nearly 60 days since I first contacted them. At first, they couldn't diagnose the issue and had to send a second technician -- and even now, I'm not confident they can fix it. It's impossible to reach anyone who can actually make a decision. Today is 10/17, and the next available appointment they gave me is... 11/21. Do not deal with them. Arrogant, unresponsive people. We have bought all of our appliances from Barons. Turns out that was a mistake. Our washing machine is broken. A tech was scheduled to be at our house between 9 and noon. After taking time off from work, we get a text message at 10 a.m. that the tech called in sick today. That had to have been known before 10 a.m.! Now they can't tell us when they will come to fix the washer. However, they had no problem charging my credit card for the appointment for which nobody showed up. Will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau for charging for a service that was not received. read more

I bought all my appliances from Barons in Concord and purchased the 5 year warranty. Our dishwasher developed a problem and the service person came out and said we needed a new part which would be delivered directly to me in a few days, and then said he would return the following week to repair it. The parts were delivered as he said they would be. A few days later I get a text from reliable repair saying that they haven't received the parts and that they would have to reschedule. A couple days go by and FedEx pulls up with a package for me..... the parts for the dishwasher! Now I have two sets! I call Reliable to let them know, they tell me someone will be here this morning between 9-12. It's two thirty, Fedex comes and gives me ANOTHER package of dishwasher parts! Fuck my life! Of course when I call them I'm 26 in the queue of calls, and finally get a human who tells me " we're waiting for the parts and will have to reschedule!!! i have your entire warehouse of parts in my kitchen!!! Then they try and tell me that the service guy was at my house this morning. He must have been invisible because my RING camera didn't show any appliance truck in my driveway! I will never again buy anything from Barons Appliance until they change their warranTy repair company! To be fair, the service technician arrived at 5pm and fixed the dishwasher. We purchased a trash compactor in the fall of 2021 along with five other GE appliances. Everything but the compactor has been fine. We have been trying to get response from Reliable since October 2024. Have left MANY voice mails, tried seeking help from Barons etc. rarely get a phone call back. They did agree it was broken and eventually installed a new one. It is not working, another service tech came two weeks ago, said we need a new one and he would write this up. A phone call today to check on the status and they have no record of anyone coming here two weeks ago! This is the worst service group I have ever dealt with. read more

Follow up to prior review- repair person finally made an appearance, however, GE sent the wrong part. In a follow up conversation with Barons, was told the sales manager at Barons discussed with service manager at Reliable and our service call would be scheduled for Monday September 15th. We received a brand new oven from Barons Appliance that does not heat. Reliable appliance service was the service company contracted through Barons to service our malfunctioning oven. I called on Tuesday the 26th and was told a technician wouldn't be available until that Friday, the 29th. Not a big deal as I was happy to have it hopefully resolved by the end of the week. Technician diagnoses the issue on Friday, but the part that needs replaced needed to be ordered. We were then told it would be 2 weeks until they would come back. I received the replacement part today (1 week after the appointment) and attempted to move up my appointment (via phone), as the technician isn't scheduled to return until next Friday. Service rep on the phone seemed disinterested and was told I'd be placed on the "cancellation list" but there was nothing currently available. The lack of a sense of urgency from this company has been frustrating. The turnaround time (almost 3 weeks without a working oven) has been far longer than I was expecting. I would not recommend using Reliable Appliance Service. The only thing reliable about them thus far has been their lackluster customer service. read more

I purchased a GE frig from Baron's in January, 2025. On 8/13/2025, the freezer stopped working. As I had purchased the additional warranty service from Reliable, I was sure it would be repaired quickly. I was mistaken. The tech from Reliable said a new compressor was necessary. He believed it would be in from GE parts department within a few days and scheduled the repair for 8/18/2025. On 8/15 I was notified the parts were backordered and I was now rescheduled for 9/11. When I protested about the long delay, I was told there was nothing that could be done, it was a GE production issue. It wasn't, they lied. GE sent the parts directly to me, they arrived yesterday, 8/25. I called Reliable to say the parts were in and they could schedule the repair, I was told the repair will be done on 9/11, the soonest the tech is available. However, should he be free sooner, I would be notified as "they escalate cooling issues". Let me remind you, my first contact with them was 8/13 and the repair will not be done until 9/11. Reliable lied to me about the part availability, it was an excuse as they had no one to service this appliance. If you think, like I did, that buying from Baron's and purchasing the additional warranty ensures peace of mind, save your money. I won't buy anything else from Baron's until they provide a repair service from a company that actually provides service. read more

We have had a stellar experience with Reliable Appliance Service In Manchester NH. We bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator and within a week it was evident the freezer was not working properly. We called RAS to set up an appointment to have a repair guy confirm what we thought was wrong- a faulty gasket on the freezer door. He came and agreed with our assessment and ordered a new gasket. He returned a week later, as promised, to change out the gasket. From the initial delivery to repair was 3 weeks. We are very happy. Also a BIG shout out to the repairman, Tobias, in the Manchester NH office. He had good communication and was very kind and respectful. read more

Same experience I had, got a dish washer from Baron Appliance in Sept 2023 with 5 years warranty. Called the Service people for dishes were not drying correctly in October. Scheduled in November and they canceled few times. Finaly it took them to come to take a look after 6 months. All they said that they found mouse drop and can do anything and send a bill of $150 with state it is not covered with warranty and can't do any replacement as well. I will never go back to Baron Appliance and deal with these insurance people as they working for these big company. IT IS A BIG SCAM. I might look for a legal option as I paid a lot of money for warranty and now additional $150 also. They are worst company to deal with it. read more

New to the area, the house we bought has a Marvel ice maker that stopped making ice. Checked with the manufacturer and they pointed me to Reliable. Called them and left a voice message. They called me back and asked me if they had sold the unit, to which I replied that I was a new owner and did not know where it was purchased from. She then informed me that they only work on appliances that they sell. But I said aren't you an authorized seller/ repair facility for Marvel to which she relied yes, but they only work on appliances they sell. Needed a refrigerator door replaced. Ordered in February. Every time I called the office for a possible ETA they couldn't give me one. Finally I called Whirlpool and got an ETA so I called Reliable and gave them the ETA for the door delivery. We then scheduled a service date for installation. When the door came I called Reliable and let them know the door arrived and they moved the appointment up. These are the text exchanges after that call: Thank you! Your service has been confirmed! Hello Colleen, Reliable appliance service, just checking in to see if you have received the refrigerator door for service on your whirlpool refrigerator. Please let us know as soon as possible. Since you have an appointment to come install it Thursday,7/7. I already told you it's here Thank you. Just double checking to be sure. You will be contact a little later this afternoon to confirm service. End of text exchange Then after installing the door they wanted $150.00 more than originally quoted!!! Terrible customer service. Told me 3 times they would call me back and never did. Scheduled me for a repair on my G.E. range for June 3rd, waited all day and nobody showed up. When I called the following day to inquire, the girl that made the appointment said she had nothing in her system showing my appointment. That's all they do is apologize for their mishaps. When all was said and done, customer service recommend I get in touch with G.E. because they (Unreliable Service) could Not repair my new range after trying twice. We had a washer and dryer under warranty and had no choice when it came to servicing, being forced to have Reliable appliance. They are absolutely the worst. They are completely inept, employing young guys who are not trained and don't know what they are doing. Horrible on every level. The latest fiasco with them involved a repair to the washer. We waited weeks for an appointment. When the day came they spent about 4 hours "repairing" it, only to say that "the part is not the right one" at the end of the day, and that we could not use the machine! It was another couple of weeks before they came back. This time they were here another 4 hours or more, and a couple of the guys here at the time were having a hard time, and it was obvious they didn't know what they were doing. The washer dryer is a 'stacked' pair, with the dryer on top. It had a removable device that sat on top of the washer and the dryer was affixed to that. After they left and we used the washer, it kept shaking and the noise it made was unbelievable! It shook the house and banged loudly during every spin cycle. In 3 years, the washer had NEVER done that. It was obvious that something was wrong. We called Reliable several times and left repeated messages. NO ONE would ever call us back. Now, less than 6 month later, we took the set out to put in a new washer dryer. Those idiots had NOT put the piece that belonged on top of the washer back! It was nowhere to be found. Also, we were told by different service company that we needed the SAME part that they supposedly replaced several months ago! At this point the washer was no longer on warranty, and we decided to get rid of it. There is no way the washer should need the same part. There is no way the washer should have sounded like a freight train and shake the house when they left after "fixing it". Whatever they did, they made the problem worse, and probably caused the issue that has resulted in us having to get a new machine. These people are dishonest, uncaring, unprofessional, and downright incompetent! We made sure that the new set we purchased has a warranty that does not require us to use this horrible repair company. I recently purchased a Whirlpool Refrigerator, and a day or two after delivery, I noticed that it looked 'lopsided'. It was positioned under a kitchen cabinet that I knew was perfectly plumb and level, and that's how I could tell that something didn't look right. I called Baron's Appliances located in Manchester, NH, and talked to my sales associate, Pat, on Monday, April 11th, explaining the issue. He said that he would contact their repair service, and that someone would be getting back to me shortly. Well, not even 30 minutes later, my iPhone 'dinged', it was Tia from Reliable Appliance Service. She had texted that I would be getting a text notification on Tuesday, April 12th, with a time and date for service. On April 12th, the text read that my appointment would be on April 13th, between 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. All I had to do was to 'confirm' by replying with the number 1; easy enough. On April 13th, at 7:28 a.m. I received a phone call from 'Gene', he was the repair man from Reliable Appliance Service. He informed me that he would be at my location in 20 minutes. I gotta say that I'm loving all the communication! Well, Gene pulls up into my driveway, precisely at 8:00 a.m. Now, one thing I have to mention here, is that I am a 'yard care freak'. You can see from the picture, that he parked perfectly in the driveway, between my car, and the perfectly edged grass, and did not park on my 'perfect' grass edge. To me, that shows that the person is 'respectful', and 'aware' of their surroundings ... a big plus in my book. Anyway, Gene greeted me with a 'good-morning sir.' We walked into my kitchen, I showed him my refrigerator, and had him take a look, pointing out where it looked 'off'. He said that the installers only leveled one side, and that had caused the refrigerator to be 'cantered' to the right-side. He had it level within a few minutes ... adjusting it several times until I thought it was perfect. He was nice enough to answer a couple of questions for me about my refrigerator and had some great information! After Gene left, I thought about how pleased I was, they scored five stars for communication, timeliness, consideration, and expertise. My $800 dryer stopped working and I first called the previous company I worked with. Crickets. I called Barons appliance where I bought the dryer and was immediately connected to Reliable. Two days later, they came out and diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and scheduled my next appointment. As scheduled, they came back out and repaired my dryer. All within the quoted rates. The technician was respectful, wore a COVID mask and was on time and did a GREAT job. I will use them again for sure. read more

If there was a lower rating, I would give it to them. This is anything BUT Reliable. I purchased an LG washer from Baron's in October 2017, and purchased the extended warranty. The washer stopped working in August 2020. It took 2 weeks to get a repair person here. He needed a part and set a return date of 2 weeks. That date was pushed off because of "extenuating circumstances "....no other explanation was given. Reliable tried to reschedule for December. Surprise, I told them that was not acceptable. Eventually they rescheduled again for today. Their repair person came, but could not complete because this is a 2 person job, and she tried for an hour to get a response from the office on getting another person. I even questioned when they called that one person. might not be able to handle it...it is a full size stackable. I am in the high risk demographic and do NOT want to have to go to a laundromat during a pandemic ! Getting NO help from either Reliable or from Baron's. so.....BEWARE. After the third service call I called Reliable to tell them the oven was still not working properly, and if the tech would have stayed long enough to test it, he would have seen that. If I could give this company zero stars I would. After making an appointment 8 days in advance at a specific time, they called and said they were arriving at a completely different time of day with a three hour window. When I explained that time was impossible and I needed the original time honored, I was met with a rude, curt response that they will never make an appointment for a specific time and they always call 2 days before and give a window of time that works for them. Whatever happened to customer service? Clearly this company has no regard for a customer's schedule and I highly recommend you don't bother with them. Save yourself the time and stress. read more

I was given the 5 year extended warrantee when I purchased our kitchen through Barons. Very let down by my first attempt to use them. Our dishwasher stopped working and gave an error code which said to call for service. When I called, the earliest appointment was 6 weeks out! I was told it was because the service guys don't come up my way too often, (20 minutes north of Concord and 2 miles from the closest Barons Major Brands!). The service guy came today. Needs a new pump. Earliest appt he could make? Another month out! 2.5 months without a dishwasher! His reason? Parts going to take long to get here? Nope, He's not up in this area very much. When my last dishwasher was covered by the Blue Big Box store, they never took longer than 1 week from the call to get here. Barons needs to look at a closer repair service to contract with! Knowing that I will never use this company again helps me sleep at night. I called because there was a leak in the water line leading to my freezer. Since there was no shutoff, the water to the house had to be shut off. Reliable did not consider this an emergency and sent someone six days later. When he showed up and told us he had never worked on a unit like ours, we were worried. They sent one guy to move a floor to ceiling refrigerator/freezer. My husband had to take the morning off of work to help. It took four hours and cost $640. After he left we noticed we weren't getting ice. I called again and the same guy came eight days later. It turned out to be a bad filter but I refused to pay again because it worked before he came last time and didn't work when he left. He argued with me telling me that if I didn't pay, Reliable wouldn't pay him. He was so angry he slammed the door on the way out. When I called Reliable to explain why I wasn't going to pay, they told me that while that was my right, they would never come to my house again. I'm ok with that. read more

Highway robbery. The technician new exactly what was wrong based on my comments. They could have given me a quick tip and I could have easily fixed this myself. Instead they sent over a repair man who fixed my machine in less than 10 minutes and then charged me $160. I didn't even need any parts, just a simple filter cleaning that he did in my sink. read more
