I wasn't sure what to expect while on the road from NM to Flagstaff. I'm so glad I stopped in at this place. The place is big and it was packed at 2pm on a Tuesday. We sat outside and it was kind of fun to see all the people stopping in town to take their picture "standing on a corner." Our server was super sweet and helpful. She let us try a few different beers. The food was great. A perfect lunch. I highly recommend stopping here. Just one thing to note: It is not a brewery. I assumed from the name that it was. This place was really cute to stop at while driving through Arizona (headed to Texas). We started with the eagle wings (barbecue flavor) and they were DELICIOUS. The sauce had a bit of a buffalo tang to it but was still predominantly barbecue flavor. Very crispy skin and juicy meat. My boyfriend ordered the southwest burger medium rare and it was FAR from rare. It was dry as a bone and a very subpar burger. He didn't even finish it. I ordered the turkey melt and it was likewise subpar. Basically, it was a grilled cheese with some Schroeder's turkey in it? Probably would've been better with regular sliced roasted turkey. One of the best lobster mac n cheese I've had. Nice big chunks of garlicky lobster. Patty melt ordered medium rare and added green chilies was excellent. The fries though were very sad. Wilting and floppy. Chocolate mousse was delicious. Server was great; attentive, friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. I liked that the space was not a deafening roar of music and boisterous cacophony despite it being full; we were able to have a normal volume conversation. First time eating here and we went on a Saturday thinking it may be too busy/crowded. Surprisingly there were seats available both inside and outside! Our server was incredible and gave us plenty of suggestions as it was our first time eating here. Service was great, even with as many tables as our waitress had. Food was fresh and delicious. The chips were nice and crispy and everything tasted great. The interior of the place was really retro and cool looking, and there are plenty of tv's if you're into watching sports. Winslow was one of our favorite little towns to stop by on Route 66. It may seem dorky that most of the town is actually existing on the Eagle's song "Take It Easy". There's souvenir shops and restaurants with that theme and products, much of which is very patriotic. We were seated right away even though it seemed busy at 1:30pm. Our waitress was very warm and friendly, we asked her if she'd change the TV channel to watch the Chicago Bears football game and she said sure. We had beers and my chicken caesar was good. My husband got pastrami on marbled rye which he loved. The decor in the restaurant is really cool, parts of old trucks and old license plates. My husband said the men's urinal had a miniature soccer goal and ball in it lol. This town is very small, like 2 blocks to see. So this restaurant is one of 3 or so available and the best one. Right around "The Corner", the food was great, the drinks were locally sourced and the ambiance was clean, open and classic. This pub is worth a visit. The menu was simple, but the ingrdients were great. I ordered the bean burger and they had lots of veggies in it, a choice of cheese and options to add avocado. The fries were perfect, fat and lightly peppered. If you like Mac n'cheese, they make their own cheese sauce. Very tasty. The bar was long and wooden, nicely finished. They played classic rock. On our way from TX to CA, we wanted to try local spots instead of fast food. This restaurant was one of the best we found! We placed a to-go order and they were very friendly- even though I did ask for a couple changes to my burger! We ordered the Southwest Burger and Relic Burger (build your own). On roadtrips and vacations, it is rare for hubby and I to visit a restaurant more than once...but we had such a great experience at Relicroad that we went three separate times on our recent Rte 66 3000+ mile roadtrip. From the high quality and taste of the food and craft beers to the friendly staff (special kudos to Shauna) and cool decor, there is a clear attention to detail and pride of ownership. Beers: everything we drank was great (Nut Brown Ale, Milk Stout, Orange Blossom, Dunkel, Grand Canyon Red Ale). Many thanks to Troy and Steph who kindly gave us recommendations for breweries that were further East on our trip. What we loved eating: Fried Zucchini (so perfect even hubby liked it), Relic Chips, Pretzel with Beer Cheese (must have), Beer Candy Bacon, Southwest Burger, Relic Philly Steak, Onion Rings, and the Reuben. We read the reviews and had to try this place. We are on a road trip and needed to sit outside because of our dog. The staff is friendly. The orange blossom beer is worth ordering. The lobster bacon Mac and cheese was pretty good though we were missing green chili which we ordered on it. The fish tacos were decent. The kitchen split our order on two separate plates which was very thoughtful. The only reason we knocked off a star was the plague of flies of biblical proportion that pestered us our entire meal. They should give fly swatters with the menus. It was a full time job just to keep one hand constantly moving to keep flies out of our drink and off of our food while the other hand shoveled as fast as we could our lunch. The crew members were friendly and made us feel at home and promptly brought us menus. Masks were scarce; this was Navajo County and times were changing (2021-05-24). But it was lunchtime, and we had a long afternoon trip ahead of us. I ordered the sausage platter, which was 3 kinds of sausage, 2 each (that's 6 if you're counting) on a bed of homemade sauerkraut. These came with 2 dipping sauces, based on different peppers, that were unique and delicious. My Lady ordered a Relic burger medium rare, all custom, which showed up with a skewer of homemade potato chips. She chose to drink Coke, and I chose diet Coke. The food was delicious. We stopped in here on our way through to the Petrified Forest. The food was very good (and substantial) and the beer selections were quite good. They were clearly a bit overwhelmed staff-wise, so we actually got our appetizer after our meal, and there were long delays between ordering drinks, ordering food, actually getting the food, etc. So, I wouldn't plan on coming here for a quick bite if the place looks busy, but if you have some time to spare, it is worth the wait. What a great find during our short stay in Winslow! My husband and I travel a lot and we're always on the lookout for local breweries, particularly those that serve good food! We stopped in for a late lunch today and we were greeted quickly and warmly. The space is welcoming with fun artwork. There's a main room with some table and bar seating and a separate room off to the side with more table seating. Such a great selection of brews and unique menu offerings! For our meal we split the Steak & Bleu Bites, Candied Bacon & Cheese Curds. (I grudgingly shared the Steak & Blue Bites!) We enjoyed a Grand Canyon Sunset Ale, Mudshark Vanilla Caramel Porter and a Cherry Vanilla Porter. Everything was delicious! We saw a Canyon Diablo Burger go past to another guest and I think my husband regrets not ordering it because it looked SO GOOD! I submitted a phone order and asked where I can see the menu she led me to FB. I went ahead and ordered and when I picked up the food I was being charged a higher amount than the menu price. The cashier called Steff Lopez (Supervisor) to explain the situation... the supervisor then tells me "my bad I haven't updated the prices on FB and continued to charge me a higher price. I then told her it wasn't right to have two different prices and her choose to charge me a higher price. She then looked at me and said "it is what it is " and walked away. Beware.. Staff does not comply with health and safety mandates. No masks for servers or "cooks". That being said, and on to my review. The food is inedible!! Ordered the tacos and it was a chopped up frozen burger placed in blue corn tortilla's and piled high with lettuce and tomatoes to hide this abomination. Took one bite then sent this mess back to the dumpster where it belongs. Ok, perhaps there was a another item to try. I figured the sausage wrapped jalapeno poppers couldn't be hard to screw up but they succeeded. This raw pork and jalapeno cheese stuff was a nightmare to behold. Do not order food at this establishment !! The maskless waitress was friendly and attentive and made sure that my pint glass was never empty. For a business to claim that they are a brewery and not produce any of their own beers is misleading at best and resturant at it's worst. They are a Tap house serving a solid selection of Arizona beer. The location is ideal but the food sucks!! Came to Winslow to "stand on the corner" with Glenn Grey and found a great place to eat. The food is delicious and service amazing. Not many choices of restaurants in old town Winslow. Relic is the only decent place to eat. It is a traditional American burger restaurant, just opened 2 years ago. We liked the feeling when we walked into the restaurant, we felt welcomed. The Mother Road Kolsch style ale tastes good! They have lots of beer selections from local breweries, you can sample first before ordering any beer. We had Armadillo Egg, it's a cheese stuffed jalapeno encased in sausage. It came with 2 eggs, the one I had the jalapeno was not hot at all, so it tasted good. But the one hubby had the jalapeno was super hot! I had a bite and my mouth was flaming! Hubby had southwest burger with Relic chips. He said it's pretty good. I had Canyon Diablo Burger. In stead on bund, it's on bagel! The slaw kept falling out of burger, became so mushy, I don't like it. Flavor was so-so. We sat at the bar, the waitress did know how to serve.
