We ordered the rigatoni and the bison, and both were exceptional -- exactly the kind of refined yet approachable American cooking you hope for at a place like this. I review restaurants with my OAT method: O= Overall experience - My family came to Remington Hall for the High Hot Cocoa experience for the first time during Thanksgiving Break. Overall, it was a lot of fun because the mugs came out with cotton candy on top and the waiter then poured the hot chocolate over it. It was mesmerizing watching the cotton candy get melted from the fresh hot chocolate. We had a reservation and did not get our hot chocolate for 45 minutes which I thought was odd because it was just drinks but maybe they had to prep it? Take note that they advertise this event as $25 per person which seems affordable, but then if you want to add pastries that is an additional fee that added up to $50 per person. A= Appearance - All of the food looked so pretty! It was similar to a high tea experience, but with hot cocoa. We were right by the fire and it was very much a cozy vibe because our chairs consisted of couches and big furniture chairs. T= Taste - The hot chocolate was very rich, in fact the waiter explained that it was purely chocolate. There was a separate container for milk and whipped cream to dilute the hot chocolate during the meal. However, it was still quite rich! If you're a huge dark chocolate fan you would love it. My favorite pastry was the raspberry jam shortbread cookie and the savory lobster roll. They had a variety of eclairs that were fruity and chocolatey. The mango one was yummy! Stated at the Grand Hyatt in September 2025. The hotel has been open for over a year. The Remington hall is the main dining venue for the hotel, for dinner and breakfast. The dinner we had was at the Remington Hall lounge. Highlights were good ambiance, nice outdoor seating options (with heaters!( for us since we brought our dog. For dinner we ended up having the hamachi carpaccio (not bad), the burger was a huge disappointment (patties were like bricks!), and the wings (not juicy, also overcooked). The drinks were decent. For the price or dinner however, we were quite unsatisfied. 2/5. Breakfast on the otherhand, was overall good. When we went in the weekend, they had both a la carte and buffet option. We had the breakfast burrito (dry, overcooked pork) green eggs Benedict (nice presentation) and pancakes (tasty, soft and fluffy). Service was a bit slow but it's a weekend brunch so it's alright. 4/5. Hoping the restaurant is still finding it's footing as it's still relatively new but unless I was staying on the property again, I would not plan to come here in the future. read more

We ate here twice, first for dinner because it was convenient and the second time for the breakfast buffet--we loved both!! For dinner, we shared the Ceasar salad and spicy rigatoni and got the cookie skillet for dessert. All of it was soooo good! The breakfast buffet was also amazing and worth every penny in my opinion. We ate a little bit of everything but seriously loved it all. We also got cookie skillet with extra ice cream our last night there-- perfect end to our vacation. Remington LOUNGE (located in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt in Deer Valley PC) is the coziest family-friendly lounge for a nightcap & decompressing by the fire. My hot chocolate was creamy, not too sweet, and rich in cocoa. I absolutely loved the homemade whipped cream served on the side Comfortable ambient noise level, very comfortable seating, comfortable lighting in the evening. Highly recommend - I'm definitely coming again for another hot chocolate and to try one of the desserts! read more

Remington Hall and the Grand Hyatt are the newest additions to what will be the "backside" of Deer Valley. We had hear of the $18 hot chocolate, which by the time we could get a table for 4 (because you need reservations and they book out pretty far in advance) they had changed the price to $25. For this price you only get a drinking chocolate and a cookie. When I was making the reservations one box you check for dietary restrictions is gluten free. One member of our party of four is GF and so I checked the box and additionally in the comments I added 1/4 of us was GF. Our waiter was not informed of this. He didn't know options for desserts were GF, but he did go to the kitchen to ask. And for having the question and option during the reservation, I'm surprised her cookie with the high chocolate wasn't GF; for $25 you think this is something that could be accomplished. Only one item on the tier was GF so she opted for the lemon caprese cake which was just okay (maybe because we were in Italy this summer, so you just can't compete with that). For the High Chocolate, know you will be sitting in the lobby. So you're kind of on display for all hotel guests. It's a little awkward as you try and enjoy your food and company that a little boy can just come join you because he saw your desserts as he entered the hotel from his ski day. (I have kids and fully understand this was his parents' job to rein him in. Just saying this won't happen in a more private setting than an extension of the hotel lobby.) All and all, if you're on vacation and want to splurge - enjoy! If you're a local, hopefully they will be offering some off-season or locals deals. read more

I wanted to like this place so bad because the service was great and the ambiance was 5/5. The breakfast buffet (5/5) was the best deal. The omelet station was efficient and good, granola yogurt cups tasted homemade and fresh, the sunrise pressed juice was sweet and refreshing and the chicken and waffles were moist and sweet with the hot honey. Dinner (2/5) only because the service was excellent, friendliest of the staff. However, the food took a long time and then when the salads finally came out, it had so many stems and it was so soggy and warm. I think Trader Joe's produce a better salad with 50% stems. Sad to be a steak house with a horrible salad. There were other problems with the meal like the drinks served flat and pasta being bland. They sell this as a high end restaurant but I fear that you are paying a premium only for the convenience for dinner. Hoping everything gets adjusted by the time you are reading this. read more

Had an rsvp for 145pm on Sunday, we were sat down immediately. A server stopped by within a few minutes to give us water. Took a few more mins to get our food order and I did have to ask twice for a drink menu. Overall the service was a little on the slow side, even though they were not busy or crowded. The food all came out at the same time, wish our apps came out first. Definitely still working out their kinks of opening in November. The carrots were under cooked and fries were soggy and oily. Looks like I'm the first-ever reviewer! Overall, it was a wonderful experience but requires improvement in some areas--this is understandable since it was brand new when we came in. I dined at Remington Hall because I was lodging at the Grand Hyatt in its first few weeks of its grand opening. Therefore, we found it convenient to check out their brand new fine dining experience. Ambiance: The ambiance was a positive factor in my experience. Minor details made the restaurant stand out from others, including candlelit centerpieces, unique and high quality glassware, branded plates, and perfect lighting. However, the silverware didn't look thoroughly washed or dried (there were dry water marks). Overall, they offered an upscale environment but also had interior design with warm and cozy vibes. Additionally, the view right outside the restaurant is beautiful! Excellent ambiance! Food: Overall, I do not feel that we received proportionate value for the food we paid for (their pricing was fairly expensive for pretty mid food). For an upscale restaurant, we were expecting uniquely outstanding dishes. Instead, we were greeted with slightly above average food which could've been served at a typical restaurant. Admittedly, the presentation of the food was truly excellent with the branded plates and vibrant color of each carefully crafted ingredient. Here are my food ratings: Crab Dip (8/10) had yummy and toasty bread; the crab dip itself was delicious Spicy Rigatoni (7/10) Bone In Pork Chop (7.6/10) was decently good but it felt kind of plain, especially for a $46 dish. It would've been nice if they provided a sharper knife automatically part of the dish--it was slightly difficult to cut with a butter knife. Pan Seared Salmon (6.7/10) did not feel entirely fresh and the combination of sides and salmon itself did not quite taste the best together; honestly, it was an odd mix of flavors Cookie Skillet (10/10) was a dessert comparable to BJ's pizookie but tasted significantly better Honorable mention: the water felt fresh and crystal clear Service: Upon arrival, I felt that the service would be excellent when our hostess provided a warm welcome. Our server was Jedalyn--she was very kind, personable, accommodating, and helpful in providing recommendations for our food selection. She also made a genuine effort to help us pick out the cookie skillet for dessert and it was a sweet way to wrap up our evening--delicious! I do wish that the busser came to check in on us more frequently, particularly for water refills. There were several instances when we were waiting several minutes and had to call someone over for a water refill. Some moments felt out of sight, out of mind--not an experience we would want at a fine dining establishment. Running into billing issues: After we paid the bill and left the restaurant, we noticed that we were overcharged. We had to return to the restaurant to speak with the manager, RJ. They were swift in helping us resolve the issue, noting that it was a system issue (not a manual mistake by our server). We were able to get a resolution within an hour after leaving the restaurant--they contacted me via cellphone. This was a minor inconvenience, considering that they are still working out the kinks as a new establishment. I am very grateful for RJ's commitment to resolving the issue and Jedalyn for providing excellent service (she deserves a promotion!) In conclusion, I had a wonderful experience--a result from the kindness of Jedalyn and the excellence of the environment. The food needs significant improvement before I can give it a five star, but I am optimistic that this will be a great fine dining experience within the next two years--after they really hit the ground running and gain more popularity/guests. read more

Food and drinks were good. Although staffing seemed like an issue. One evening I went to order a drink a salad and a side of ranch from the bar(which I already had an open tab at). The bartender was politely telling me they were very busy but will get me shortly. Then a manager came over and said no way they can serve me as they are to backed up. He said they are only serving their guests. I had a tab open, stayed at their hotel for 5 nights and had been to this restaurant 3 days in a row. He wouldn't even let the bartender serve me a drink OR even give me the side of ranch for the pizza we already had. If they are going to advertise the "lobby" area as a place you can eat their food they need to have enough staff to take orders. Additionally the next morning we came in at 10:58am to eat before the airport we were told breakfast is done and they can't seat us for at least 30 mins as they turn over for lunch. I don't have this at other hotel restaurants I go to. Over all great hotel but this restaurant can use some improvements. read more

However, they didn't have quite a few things we tried to order. Ended up getting a Caesar salad and it was very sub-par. It was very overpriced. The worst part was valet. They needed about 5 more people working as everyone was waiting 30+ minutes for their car. We ended up walking up the road in the rain. We'll wait to come back. This place has potential to be a great restaurant in an area that has few options. So the upside is limitless. However, the service is in need of upskilling. The staff are nice enough. Most seem to be foreign which I think is cool. But their training is needs to be improved. The one thing they've got right is that the staff are friendly and genuinely try to please. So lots of potential here. I was seated without a menu for breakfast which is odd. When I inquired for it, the host said the server will bring it. Ofc the server took a bit to come to me. My server didn't know what sourdough bread was. Once I briefly explained it he came back to tell me they didn't have it. The breakfast buffet is $48 which is in higher end but doesn't make eggs to order. When I asked about that, the server said if you want eggs to order then better to go ala carte. For $48 they should have eggs the way you want it. All small things but they add it up if you know what I mean. Overall quality of the food was fine although higher priced but I suppose they are trying to go premium for the hotel. Lastly, they've got a little bit of time to get things figured out. While I'm sure the Four Seasons (being built across the street) will take years, the gap in service and food will be very noticeable. I know this place is pretty new but you cannot leave a customer waiting for their food for over 35 minutes. I came for lunch with a group of 7 including me. We just came off the mountain to enjoy lunch as a group but did not expect us to be waiting for our food for such a long time. For my meal, I got the spicy rigatoni which was not horrible but was cold! My meal was also so small and was not worth its price, it looked like a kids meal! My daughter's meal was also cold. She got the kid grilled cheese with fries and looked way more fulfilling than my tiny meal. The best part of the meal was this appetizer that was this bread which was delicious. Our waiter I don't recall her name. But she did check in with us after around 20 minutes of waiting for our food telling us it should be around 5 more minutes and that the appetizer would come out with the entrees. I know she can't control how long it takes but that was the only time she came to check in with us. The other time someone from our group called her over and asked how much longer and said "Probably 10 more minutes" and this was over 5 minutes after she told us 5 more minutes. Overall service could of been better. I am really disappointed in how the meal was and how long it took for us to get our meal. If there is a next time I sure hope that we'll be in and out of here in an hour or less not an hour and a half. read more

I was very excited To come to the new hotel the Grand Hyatt. Being a park city resident it's always exiting to try new spots that are open. I was very upset upon arriving. If there's one thing this place excels at, it's testing your endurance. I'm not sure if they were preparing the food in real time or growing the ingredients in the back garden, but whatever it was, it took forever. We were seated and then 15 minutes later a server assistant came and gave us water. Then after another 10 minutes we ordered our food through our server. It has taken over 35 minutes for our food and there is only 4 of us. Overall it has been a great experience. This is very frustrating considering how nice it has been advertised to be. read more

We had the pork shank and it was delightful. The onion dip and bread starters were well worth it. Drinks were a little bland but desserts were heavenly (had everything but the profiteroles). A little pricey for the quality and service level but it's new and will get its feet under it! read more
