Had a wonderful visit to Baltimore and my stay was made even better by my choice of hotel. The Renaissance is big and beautiful and close to the city center and the harbor. I also had breakfast on the 5th floor each morning and want disappointed! The service was wonderful. I'll definitely have to come back again!

Unfortunately I had a reservation made for me again here and the place had not improved. In fact, multiple others I was traveling with reported seeing cockroaches in their rooms. The food being served during group buffet is inedible and, even worse, allergens are not properly marked. Hush puppies were labeled as gluten free - due to my skepticism I decided to check with the staff, who confirmed that they contain enriched wheat flour. Based on the infestation and the poor safety labeling, I have opted not to eat any further meals at this hotel. Lastly, the large room with glass ceiling is unbearably hot and then the offshoot rooms are all freezing. It is impossible to be comfortable at this hotel.

Spent 3 nights here over the Holiday weekend. 12th floor which was the top level. We had club level access, where we could grab breakfast (monday-Friday). Basic breakfast foods. and Evening reception where drinks were charged to the room, Monday-Thursday. Lounge food and drinks were just okay. Breakfast on the weekends is buffet ($29). They do not have alcart breakfast until the weekday. Alot of various meats, eggs, breads, fruit and a made to order omelet. Breakfast/dinner room is along the front of the hotel facing the inner harbor for a nice view. By 1130am for breakfast, they were turning over for dinner - which made me feel rushed to eat King size bed in room. Faced to the left of the building, where we could see a good portion of the inner harbor. Bed was comfortable. Able to set out own temps. Minifridge. No microwave. LIMITED OUTLETS. Bring an extension cord if needed. All of the bed outlets are plugged into the lamps next to the bed Two different elevators. The RED elevators is to get to the garage, which is like $40+ a day with in/out privledges, and the BLUE elevators give you access to the hotel foors Since it was a Holiday, the lobby offered free snacks and a specality cocktail which was a pretty cool welcome each on Thursday and Friday. We didn't hear much noise, from the hallway nor outside We never made it to the pool lol Only downside, the hotel window was not wiped down. We could clearly see the grease from someones face on the window. Took a few tries to flush the toilet. Sink took a while to drain. Great location. ALL OF the STAFF were so nice. I would recommend!

My week stay at the Renaissance Inner Harbor was overall pleasant. My rating started at 2 and as the days went by it worked its way up to a 4. Cons: the underground parking situation was confusing and hard to figure out. This was by far my biggest gripe, plus the fact that valet is not available. I paid for star parking for a full week on the day I arrived, only to find an invoice on my windshield the following morning. When I called the number on the invoice, the call continuously dropped. This was frustrating. Disputing this took most of my morning, long story short, I ended up paying the ticket, justified or not. I attempted to request a refund on their website and only got the runaround. Another drawback, is that this hotel does not have a computer/printer station in the lobby. This comes in handy, especially for those traveling on business. The Gym has little appeal, it feels dated and cramped. Pros: On the plus side, the staff was very nice and accommodating. They acknowledged my platinum status and upgraded me to a high-floor room with a great view of the harbor, that was a nice touch. The hotel itself is well-maintained and in a good location. Hotel offers daily housekeeping which is rare to find these days. The Guest lounge on the 12th floor is the best I've seen at any Marriott. Nice layout, very clean, and well organized. The continental breakfast had coffee, salmon, eggs, oatmeal, fruit, and more. The lady working the lounge deserves a raise as she understood the assignment and brightened the day. Shout out to Millán from the coffee shop down in the lobby, he not only offered great service but most importantly, he makes a fantastic cappuccino. Might be the first time I've ever bragged about coffee in a hotel. I recommend this hotel for a short stay and only if you must stay in downtown. As for me, it's a solid hotel but I won't be returning until they figure out a better parking system. The parking here was too much of hassle. If not for the parking, and the few minor cons, this hotel would be an easy five star.

    Bedbug bites one week later

** BEDBUG WARNING!!! APRIL 2026 - Renaissance Hotel Baltimore ** I was at the Renaissance Harborplace last weekend (April 24-25, 2026), and it was a disaster. Not only that, but the way the hotel handled it just added insult to injury! When I arrived, I was not terribly impressed with the cleanliness of the property for a Marriott, but it wasn't obviously gross (although, oddly, my room seemed to be missing some furniture - it seemed to have a LOT of empty floor space). But after my second night (of three planned nights) at the hotel, I woke up with about 15 or so bedbug bites up and down my right arm. They were classic bedbug looking bites, and over the following few days they became quite inflamed and a little blister-like (and really itchy). Needless to say, we checked out that day, and did NOT stay the third night of our reservation - there was no way I could sleep in that hotel another night (even in a different room it would have been just to creepy! Ick!). And bedbugs have a way of getting around (especially between rooms that are being serviced by the same housekeeper). So we left. Before I left though, I talked to a manager at the front desk and explained to her what had happened and how upsetting it was, and that we were leaving. I asked them to let me know how they would make it right, but I was in no condition to try to get them to commit to something at the time. The next day, I talked to the manager on the phone, and I asked, and she assured me that I would not be charged for my stay (which I had booked directly with Marriott - as it turns out I stay a LOT at Marriott properties. Not that it should matter for how I was treated, but I do have Titanium Elite status with Marriott). I was a bit shaken by the experience, but was willing to leave it at that, and the manager gave me her email so that I could send her pictures of my bites, which I did. (I had also shown the manager when I checked out). Anyway, a couple days later, I see that they DID charge me for the two days I stayed. Including the night that I was bitten in their bug-infested guestroom! This struck me pretty outrageous - if only from a customer service standpoint. Then, to make matters worse, when I emailed the customer service manager (who had misled me about what they would do) to inquire (and to express my disappointment), she just never even responded! Ever. ** "sigh" ** Needless to say - I would never stay at the Renaissance Baltimore again. Although, I continue to find Marriott properties pretty reliable, and decently customer oriented (this property notwithstanding). So. Just "YUCK!!" Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. (photo below are my bites one week after the bedbug attack)

I was satisfied with my stay at this hotel. Clean, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing. I stayed for only two nights and chose this hotel because it is walking distance to the Inner Harbor and Oriole Park. The mattress was comfortable and the pillows were better than most other hotel pillows. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak and the toilet had issues flushing. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others and would stay again. Great location!

Solid hotel experience. Staff always professional and helpful. Easy checkin process. I got upgraded to a corner suite which was HUGE. Great harbor views. As an ambassador, I got fresh fruit and sparkling water (that was my choice, you could also choose from chips, beer, popcorn, etc). Had housekeeping every day, who did a great job, and they were much appreciated. Pretty clean room with plenty of towels, soaps, supplies. Aveda toiletries, which I love, since I am an aveda user. All of their products have rosemary, which I love, but this may not be the best way to go since people (including one of my best friends) have rosemary allergies. It's increasingly hard to find a hotel with a soaker tub these days, but the shower was nice. Water super hot and had a wand extension, which I always appreciate. The beds and linens were decent. Not quite as nice as what you'd find at the Moxy, but better than the average Residence Inn or Courtyard. Decent cafe/restaurant/bar offerings, though hours on the website and real-time hours were not the same. I could sense there were some staffing issues in the restaurant/cafe areas. But they were still upbeat and helpful. The ground floor cafe and bar is more for breakfast pastries, fruit cups, basic wine and drinks. The 5th floor bar is more for bar snacks and cocktails (thought the list is limited). The restaurant has some nice harbor views, but there are better in the area. I got a couple of free breakfast tickets for my status, but didn't use them because I'm one to sleep in late. I appreciate the sentiment! This hotel is centrally located, right next to the harbor and walking distance to several restaurants and nearby attractions. While they weren't on my agenda, several patrons would appreciate how close this hotel is to the aquarium, historic ships, and science/children's museum.

He was engaging, charismatic, and clearly knew the property and its history inside and out. That kind of welcome makes a difference. We were in Suite 18, which sits in a separate tower connected to the spa. The room itself was well appointed. You can tell nothing in there was inexpensive, and everything was fresh and well maintained, no wear, no chipped paint, nothing neglected. If I'm being honest, some of styling is starting to feel a touch dated in places, but that's a matter of taste more than quality. One note, and to be totally fair it was an unbelievably hot day: when we returned from dinner the room was in the mid to high 70s, and it took about an hour and a half to cool down. The staff explained we needed to lower the thermostat in 2-degree increments rather than setting it straight to our target, and they were right, it worked. Still, that's a bit of a workaround at this price point. A lovely property with genuinely gracious service. We'd stay again.

All are museum quality. I had room service as well as meals at Magdalena but I'll review them separately. ‍ My room was amazing! The four poster bed was so divine. I slept quite comfortably. The soaking tub was deep enough to swim in. The spa gifted me with a bath bomb which made for a truly relaxing soak session. I will most definitely be returning.

We were assigned a room on the same floor as the lobby, just past the fitness center. From the outside it was as if we were on the second floor. Our single bed was quite wide, the ceiling above the bed was very high, but the bathroom was small, had no spare toilet paper, and only two hooks to hang anything, which made it tough to hang clean clothing and towels to dry for two guests who do not share towels. Speaking of which, towels provided were limited, so when I found a stain on my bath towel and requested a fresh one, they brought me a whole set. After our time here I saw a video by theholdernessfamily mentioning hotel bathrooms with barn doors that don't close tightly. I didn't realize that was a thing. But it proved true here! Also clear glass shower doors which make it impossible to share the bathroom with a gal pal while someone is showering. Our across the hall neighbor was loud. It was as if there was an open house party each night from about 10:30pm to 11:45pm with all the loud comings and goings. Their 24 hour gym had a water fountain. It proved to be an excellent base for a short family getaway. The Positives: 1) Room Setup: We appreciated having two queen beds, which worked perfectly for a family of three. Both beds were comfortable, and the room layout felt functional rather than cramped. 2) Location: The hotel's proximity to major attractions was ideal. On our first full day, we walked about 10 minutes along the waterfront to the National Aquarium, which made for an easy and pleasant outing. The next day, we made a similarly short walk to the Port Discovery Children's Museum (formerly known as the Children's Discovery Center). In both instances, being able to walk back and forth without relying on transportation made the trip significantly smoother with a young child. 3) Staff and Service: The staff were consistently helpful. The concierge lounge attendants were friendly, and the front desk team handled check-in and check-out efficiently. On our departure day, we were able to store our luggage seamlessly after checking out, which allowed us to enjoy a few more hours in the area without feeling encumbered. 4) Elevators: This may seem like a small operational detail, but it mattered. We were on the 21st floor, and the concierge lounge is on the 31st. Because there is no direct elevator connection between those floors, we frequently had to ride down to the lobby and transfer elevators. Despite this added movement, the elevators were consistently quick and efficient. We never found ourselves waiting long, even during busier periods--a notable plus in a large waterfront hotel. 5) Concierge Lounge: The lounge was a real asset, particularly on our first evening. After traveling, it was convenient to piece together a full dinner from the generous spread available there. The following morning was more uneven--they ran out of food earlier than expected due to heavier foot traffic--but this appeared to be more of a planning miscalculation than neglect. Overall, having access to the lounge added meaningful value to our stay. (Lounge access is limited to Marriott Bonvoy members with elite status, which fortunately my wife has because of her frequent travels.) 6) Breakfast Buffet: We opted for the breakfast buffet on our final morning. At $32 per person, it is undeniably expensive. That said, the quality and variety justified the price. The offerings were extensive: oatmeal, grits, pork and chicken sausage, bacon, home fries, scrambled eggs, pancakes, made-to-order omelets and waffles, juices, coffee, and more. It was a comprehensive, well-executed American breakfast spread. Overall: For a short family trip to Baltimore, the Marriott Waterfront struck the right balance between comfort, convenience, and service. The location alone makes it highly attractive for families planning to explore the Inner Harbor area, and the operational execution--from elevators to luggage storage--was smooth. We would gladly consider staying here again on a future visit.

Rooms are well-appointed and spacious. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was perfect. There was a crayon on the floor, which gave me pause on the cleanliness, though other than that, the room seemed very clean. There is plenty of storage, but I can always appreciate more hooks. We utilized the spa, which was awesome, and appreciated the in-room dining. Our in-room dining server was extremely friendly and funny, which was nice, though our breakfast order was extremely delayed. At least it was good, which is more than I can say for the hotel's other offerings. The hotel restaurants, while elegant with fairly good service, provided food and libations that were mid, if I'm being generous. This was a celebratory stay, and nothing ruins that more than inferior food, which we experienced. Valets were friendly and funny, though they forgot to extend our parking, so we ended up with a ticket (which was adjudicated, but still, not something you expect from the Four Seasons). A dull menu is a disappointment, but an undercooked entree is a safety hazard. During our visit, a…read morebasic chicken dish arrived at our table visually underdone and noticeably pink near the bone--a fundamental kitchen error that instantly shatters any illusion of five-star luxury. It is one thing for a luxury menu to be safe and uninspired; it is another entirely when the kitchen completely fails to execute the basics. From uneven cooking temperatures to a general lack of seasoning discipline, the line feels entirely unmonitored. At a property of this tier, diners expect precision. Instead, the plates suggest a kitchen completely on autopilot, mailing in basic preparations that would be unacceptable at a standard neighborhood pub, let alone a five-star harbor terrace. The glaring gap here isn't just the lack of a 'wow' factor--it's the absence of foundational execution. When a premium-priced kitchen stumbles on simple techniques, the luxury facade completely crumbles. For a high-tier property like the Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore, missing the mark on foundational kitchen skills is the ultimate sin. The marketing promises an ultra-luxury experience--such as Chef Mackenson Horebe's Summer Cookout Dinner Series--but if basic line-cook items are being botched, the kitchen is simply coasting on the hotel's five-star reputation. While a boring menu is disappointing, an unsafe plate is unacceptable. It proves that the kitchen lacks basic supervision or expediting discipline. A chef actively managing their kitchen does not let raw poultry pass the pass. At these steep price points, you are paying for absolute culinary precision. Instead, the kitchen line seem to be operating with zero oversight. Sending out undercooked poultry isn't just a sign of a kitchen mailing it in; it's a failure of basic execution that should never occur in a premium establishment, let alone a global luxury brand. The glaring gap between the property's glamorous marketing and its actual execution became painfully obvious when a companion's chicken dish arrived dangerously undercooked. It turns out the menu isn't just 'vanilla'--the kitchen staff can't even be bothered to execute the absolute basics of safe temperature control. A luxury dining room should never operate on autopilot. From the uninspired flavor profiles to catastrophic technical errors like undercooked chicken, the hotel's culinary team is coasting entirely on the brand's name. Save your money and explore Baltimore's actual, vibrant food scene elsewhere--this one is a passive, corporate disappointment.

I was also easily able to catch and Uber to work-related destinations and the airport, so the location is incredibly convenient. On my final day in town, I had an late flight and the front desk allowed me to leave my luggage there for the afternoon, which was incredibly helpful! As a business traveler, the room did lack some of the amenities I prefer on a busy trip (like an in-room fridge, coffee maker, an in-room desk area, and adequate outlets for charging). While I would most definitely stay at the Ulysses again for leisure trip, I don't know that I would choose this property again for a business trip.

My room was cleaned twice in that 5 day window which was just enough. The common areas were clean. The breakfast offered was good. I stuck to the oatmeal, bagel and coffee. I did have a meal from the bar/hotel restaurant and it was very very good! My room was clean and spacious! I had the issue with the toilet but then also the refrigerator had an ice machine that kept making ice nonstop and made noise on and off throughout the day. My room Was on the 12th floor but the noise outside from the passing traffic and loiters across the street woke me up and kept me up 3 out of those 5 nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was good. The hotel was nice but it's just the noise outside that was the biggest issue.
