Had a way overdue echocardiogram here yesterday. I must say, the whole experience, from scheduling through testing, was an excellent experience. After making my appointment (about 2 weeks out, no rush on my part) they pre-authorized with my insurance company so I knew in advance what my co-pay was. They are still practicing strict COVID-19 protocols (distancing and requiring masks), something we've all become used to and are slow to ween off. Once there, I checked in, filled out the paperwork and was given 2 options to receive test results: via mail or through their patient portal. Portal, of course! Though they ran a bit late (20 minutes, nothing in the medical appointment world), I was warming greeted by the sonographer Renee. Super pleasant, really knows her stuff and made the test experience actually enjoyable. I was told it would be about 45 minutes, but we actually wrapped up in about 20. Test completed, no checkout required. Job done. I got home, set up my account through the patient portal...just received my results...in 1 day! Overall great experience and highly recommend them over local hospitals (higher priced and longer waits). Major kudos to Renee on her professionalism and care. read more

Hubby had an MRI scheduled here since Renown wouldn't take his insurance. They follow up with calls to confirm and he had to fill out paper work when he arrived. Overall the doctor snd nurse anesthesiologist we're professional. BUT, the nursing staff is young and inexperienced. It took three nurses and five sticks to get an IV started. Today was the first time getting an MRI. I have a shoulder injury that requires surgery, and therefore my Doc needed for me to obtain an MRI before he can operate. I had to get an arthrogram MRI, since my shoulder dislocates frequently. With an arthrogram, they need to inject the joint with contrast, that way the tissue damage shows up on the MRI. Like most people, I hate needles and am a little claustrophobic. The staff here at Reno Diagnostic Center eased my fears and were very compassionate. They explained everything in detail and comforted me through out the whole process. They assured me that it wasn't very bad and most people walk out thinking that as well. It really wasn't that bad! I did not have the best experience. First, I was on hold for over 20 minutes to schedule a Dexa scan. I got to my appointment 20 minutes early because there is always paperwork. I completed my paperwork at 7:50am for my 8am appointment. I waited until 8:15 and asked the receptionist how long it would be. She said another 6 minutes. I asked why since my appointment was at 8am and she said they give a 20 minute window for paperwork. Communication is key and this information should have been given at the time I made my appointment so I could plan ahead for work. read more

I've been here a few times for ultrasounds. My wait time has always been short and the techs have been awesome! I had an abdominal/transvaginal ultrasound with Julie today and she was SO good and just very personable. She was professional, friendly, and I felt very comfortable. I just got off the phone with Carol in scheduling. It was the best medical office experience I have had in a very long time. I have been trying to get a screening done since April. My doctor's office keeps sending the order to the wrong place. I keep calling them to get it corrected and here we are in September and I finally got them to send an order to Reno Diagnostic, but it was for the wrong screening. Carol understood my frustration and said she would reach out to them to figure out what screening I actually need so we can get it scheduled. I cannot stress enough how terrible our experience with RDC has been and cannot recommend this business to others. Double MRI was cancelled by the center yesterday on arrival for the appointment. Their technician called in. Trisha then rescheduled over 3 weeks later with no opportunity to make up the cancellation. My MD issued an imaging order at Reno Diagnostic. After several days I received a text message from them asking me to call to schedule an appointment. This morning as i was about to call, they called my spouse and informed her that they do not accept Renown insurance and therefore would not do the MRI. So a water of time and effort for several people, including me. I went to the Reno Diagnostic website to find out what insurance they do accept. Not a clue there. I went for an MRI late Saturday afternoon. The staff I met (I wish I had gotten their names) were all top-notch, and the MRI procedure was quick and efficient. If I had a nit to pick, I would say that the Eureka location can be a little hard to find, so be sure to check Google or Apple Maps. HIGHLY recommend them for any imaging needs! Great hours, friendly and efficient staff, and modern equipment that reduces the time taken for a somewhat common procedure. read more

They initially scheduled me 3 weeks out for a knee mri. My insurance company never got doctors request for approval from them. Magically when I offered to pay out of pocket I was given an appointment next day. Is this even legal?! In response to the business rep below I contacted my insurance company and they said they never received the request from Reno diagnostic. I use Reno Diagnostics for any imaging tests I need. The staff is professional and competent, and their locations are convenient. My only issue is their availability. I've spent hours waiting on hold on the phone, trying to make appointments. They do have a callback option, but it would be nice if someone could actually answer appointment calls in a timely manner! While I do recommend them, you need to be prepared to wait when making an appointment. read more

Everyone is so professional and kind. I have had my mammograms and breast ultra sounds done at RDC. Their reporting is far more detailed than the hospitals. The tech workers are amazing and their billing department is terrific. Don't go to a hospital when you can have all your imaging done by professionals that have the time to care and write detailed reports. read more

My wife has had a few exams for a couple of different tests. She was playing phone tag with the schedulers and not having any luck getting her new exam scheduled. She called during her lunch break with not alot of time to spare and your operator Rachel was so professional, helpful and kind she listened as my wife was explaining how nervous she was and worried that she could not get someone on the phone in enough time to schedule. Rachel then went above and beyond to calm her down explained how busy the schedulers are then assured her that she would personally get her the appropriate scheduling department to help her so that she was not late from her lunch. As patients are now being asked to come in by themselves this has helped to calm some of the fears my wife has about being in there alone. Rachel is a very understanding employee and should be provided kudos for her sweet demeanor. read more

I've had 3 MRI's in the past 2 months and I have to say how appreciative I am to Mindy & Sean. Sean was able to play music for me to listen to while I was in the MRI machine. It helped to keep me calm and to pass the time. I hope that Reno Diagnostic Centers will incorporate music into everyones' MRI's. It was fabulous. Mindy helped to keep me calm during a very scary medical diagnosis experience and I am forever grateful to her for her kindness, and she was fabulous at causing no pain during my needle stick for the MRi contrast. I went to my doctor on Wednesday, who ordered an MRI and X-rays. Reno Diagnostic Center called me by Friday, and I was in for an appointment the very next day! I expected this process to takes weeks, and I was AMAZED that they got me in so quick! The staff is so friendly, and I felt like they really cared about making sure I was comfortable through everything! I'm really hoping to get healthy and never have to come here again, but if I ever need more imaging, I will definitely be back! read more

My appointment was on February 21, 2023 at 12:40pm. Eureka Ave facility. I was having an incredibly high pain day (I have spinal issues) and the technicians caused me more pain by ignoring my pleas. Specifically, the young female tech that administered my Bone Density scan was rude and unhelpful. I complained of pain, asked for padding, asked for special consideration due to my disability and spoke of having a spasm while on the examining table. All of my complaints were met with a look of annoyance and silence. I complied with her demands and I am now experiencing increased pain at home. I am unable to move today with numbness in my left leg. I have been going to Reno Diag. for years and now I am not sure if I will ever return to this facility. read more

Walking into a place like this, you can sense how tense people are. There is no good reason to be here - you are here because of a health issue. My doctor's office arranged the appointment for me and I was able to reschedule my appointment when something else came up. When you walk in, make sure to read the signs. One sign says basically stand here with your photo ID and your insurance card. Then you pay (ouch) and are given paperwork and once those are filled out, you stand in another line to hand those in. You are then given a pager and you sit down in miserable silence until it's your turn to meet with a technician. My technician said little, but was nice enough and told me everything that she was gong to do. The procedure took about 15 minutes and she explained that the results would be given to my doctor within 48-72 hours. FREE WIFI in waiting room. Just ask for the pass code. read more

Mammogram time! Reno Diagnostic Center is great. They do all kinds of radiology and testing, not exclusively mammograms. From sign-in time to out-the-door I was there about thirty minutes, and about 29 of those minutes were spent filling out my new-patient paperwork. I'm giving it a 5 star since I had a great experience. Though this could be partly because of the time that I went. My appointment was at 8 pm for an MRI. I had no idea that they were open this late, and an really glad they are so that I could get this done after work hours. The place is easy to find, right off Wells. The parking lot was lit pretty well, which I was glad for since this is not the most ideal part of town. Walking in I was greeted with a smile, by a very nice lady who took my id and insurance card and presented me with a few forms to complete that were related to the procedure. The waiting area is nicely decorated for the holidays and there was a few magazine on the table to skim through (sports illustrated, and a couple other chick mags). There is a tv set on very low volume and music playing over the speaker in the ceiling. I was called back within 10 minutes. Where Mindy went through my forms and confirmed my responses, making sure if any metal I had in my body was safe for the MRI. I told her it was my first time getting an MRI and she went over the procedure with me and answered all my questions with a genuine smile. It was about 10 more minutes before it was my turn, but they had a very comfortable recliner for me to sit and wait in. The procedure was quick and I was up and outta there in well under an hours time from beginning to end. If I have to have another MRI, I will certainly try to come back to this place. read more

My five year old had recently caught a cold which evolved into a lingering bad cough. Having seen this before with him, I suspected he might have a pneumonia. Having had a bad experience with inaccurate imaging in the past, coupled with the fact that my little guy gets very antsy with doctors, finding the right radiologist and imaging center was really important to us. I consulted with a couple of my doctor friends and they both said that they themselves go to RDC for imaging because of the quality of the doctors, especially Dr Sekhon. I asked my doctor to refer us there and let the receptionist know about my situation when I called. I asked for us to be seen by Dr. Sekhon and was offered an appointment that same day. Dr. Sekhon saw us personally and was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He put my son at ease, and personally read our studies - showing me that in fact my son did have a pneumonia. He went on to answer all my questions, and even called the referring doctor directly to share the results and help us get a jump on the prescription we needed. It was an incredible experience. I highly recommend RDC to anyone looking for a caring, accurate, and fast alternative to hospital imaging. read more

Holy efficiency, Batman! Had to have some testing done, and am glad my provider sent me here. They take my insurance, which is not accepted many places. The portion of testing not covered by insurance was a reasonable price. The staff was knowledgeable about all of this and informed me when I set the appointment. I was able to nab an appointment time that was convenient for me in a reasonable time frame (I did NOT have to wait for weeks and weeks). All staff was friendly and professional: front desk as well as technicians. Everything was explained thoroughly to me. Paperwork was minimal and quickly completed. I was able to complete all monetary transactions upon arrival, so when my testing was done, I could leave right away. The facility was clean, easy to find, and had lots of parking. I had multiple tests done, yet the staff were so efficient I was on my way home within an hour. The whole visit was smooth and non-aggravating. I have had a few MRI's in my lifetime and don't enjoy them at all. I am claustrophobic so I put a lot of time and research into where I wanted to have my MRI done. I needed a wider machine and when I called Reno Diagnostics everything sounded perfect. The positive yelp reviews didn't hurt either. I had high hopes that this MRI experience would be a good one. Scheduling went very well and they texted me a reminder about the appointment with the address of the facility. I was really impressed. I arrived at the facility on Eureka Avenue and checked in. As I was sitting in the waiting room two men came in looking for their wives about 20 minutes apart. I heard the receptionist tell the first man they were running late. It turns out they were running an hour or more late. I wished I had received a phone call so I could have arrived at a later time and not waited so long, or that I had been allowed to reschedule. There was also no apology from anyone that they ran late. Maybe its a common occurrence. When I was called back I changed and went in to the MRI room. They asked me what type of music I would like to listen to and handed me some ear plugs. I told them ear plugs make me nauseous and I have always been given over-the-ear headphones during past MRIs. They said by law I had to have ear plugs and since I was lying on my stomach they would work better. I couldn't put them in very far without getting nauseous and I was not offered over-the-ear sound proof headphones. Because I can't put the ear plugs in very far, it was extremely loud inside the MRI machine. I'm now concerned for my hearing because of it. It turns out they don't use head phones there at all, unless they are worn over the earplugs, and I wasn't told this was an option until after my procedure was finished. I asked if there was a national law regarding this, and they said they had gone through a law suit that resulted in the ear plugs being used and that all good facilities use them. My last MRI was at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and they only used over-the-ear headphones with music playing through them. They are a top rated hospital in the country. Also, I couldn't hear the music Reno Diagnostic played because it plays in the room and not inside the MRI machine. So if you are really helped by hearing music to get you through your MRI, I would recommend going elsewhere. Also, if you have an odd issue with ear plugs making you feel nauseous like I do (weird I know, but true), you will need to go elsewhere. So because of the long wait time, the required ear plugs with no option of choosing over-the-ear headphones, and no music in the MRI, I am giving them 1 star. I was pretty unhappy with how this went and I would have scheduled elsewhere if I had known these issues would exist. I had just never been made to wear ear plugs in an MRI before so I didn't expect it and I expected to be able to hear the music that was played during the MRI to make it a better experience. read more

I would never ever recommend going here; our first appointment was with them 3 weeks ago, and they didn't feel comfortable giving my father an MRI due to discrepancies with his surgical history - I'm not sure why they couldn't have pre-checked this on the phone rather than having him come in to let us know. They said they would check into his history and get back to us for scheduling. I stressed the need for the MRI to be done BEFORE the next neurologist appointment (which takes months to schedule), and they said they understood and would make it happen. Flash forward 10 days later after days of calls and unanswered messages, I finally get through to a manager who was extremely rude, but assured me I would get a call back that day. I did get a call back and a plan, which would give my father ex rays to check that he was able to get the MRI safely, which they did and finally got clearance for an MRI appointment; however, he shows up and they say he doesn't fit into the machines, so they refer me to a hospital that won't even accept his insurance. Why couldn't they have assessed his ability for an MRI the first appointment, not the third? And why couldn't they at least have had the wherewithal to recommend us to a place that takes his insurance? Needless to say, it's weeks later, and after 3 appointments and over 40 phone calls, we will not get the MRI in time for the neurologist appointment which was our only request from day one. Jen in scheduling was very friendly and was trying her best (despite ignoring my messages for an inordinate amount of time), but overall this organization should be called a disorganization - it's poorly managed and ineffective. If you have the option for an MRI anywhere else, TAKE IT. Avoid this and the Sierra Rose location if you'd like anything done in a timely and effective manner. read more

I've been coming to Reno Diagnostic for decades for X-ray, mammography, etc. but never needed to have an MRI with contrast. Dr. Kraemer and his team were excellent. I had had steroid injections for this medical issue months ago (somewhere else) and Dr. Kraemer made it painless over what I had experienced before. The staff in MRI imaging were so forthcoming and helpful that I never once felt anxious or uncomfortable.
