I had a very frustrating experience at the ROC Express location in Galena. Earlier that morning, I used ROC's online chat to let them know that my 10-month-old son's splint was coming apart because he had been pulling at it. I uploaded a photo showing the stuffing coming out. A few hours later, a ROC employee called me back and specifically told me I could go to any ROC Express location to have his splint rewrapped. I even asked if the Galena location was okay since it's closest to my house, and she told me yes. Before leaving home, I completed the online check-in, explained exactly why I was coming, and provided my phone number and email. I checked in about 30 minutes before arriving. By the time we got to the office, my 10-month-old had actually kicked the splint off completely. I even held it up and showed it to the receptionist because I was genuinely concerned that he no longer had any support on his injured leg. When I got to the Galena office, it was completely empty. No customers. I walked up to the front desk, and the receptionist (Jocelyn) simply stared at me without saying hello or asking how she could help. I told her who I was and that I had checked in online. After reading my online check-in, she told me (rudely) they couldn't help because my son had an appointment scheduled for Monday. I explained that I had just spoken with someone from ROC who specifically instructed me to come there to have the splint rewrapped. She insisted they couldn't do anything--not even rewrap the splint--and that he needed to wait for his appointment. Despite showing her that he had kicked it off completely. She was very rude & uncaring. What made even less sense is that ROC Express exists to evaluate and treat orthopedic injuries. If I had walked in off the street with my son after his injury, they would have treated him. Instead, despite having an injured 10-month-old with no splint on his leg, I was told they couldn't even rewrap it. The explanation simply didn't add up. To make matters worse, they had all of my information from my online check-in. If they truly believed they couldn't help, they could have called me before I drove there with my baby. Instead, I made the trip only to be turned away. I then spent about 30 minutes on hold trying to reach someone at ROC. By chance, the same employee who had called me earlier answered. She told me the Galena office was mistaken and instructed me to go to the downtown ROC Express instead. Within an hour, my son was seen at the downtown location and placed in a cast without any issues. The difference between the two locations was night and day. The downtown staff was knowledgeable, compassionate, and efficient. Unfortunately, my experience at Galena was the exact opposite. Between the misinformation, poor customer service, and unwillingness to help an injured infant, I left feeling extremely disappointed. I sincerely hope ROC addresses the training and customer service at this location because families shouldn't have to drive from office to office with an injured child due to incorrect information. read more

Just had a total knee replacement this past Monday by Dr. Jackson Jones at ROC and while it hurts like heck (it was supposed to), the over all experience was an A+. From the greeting at check in, to the nursing staff treating me like they really cared, I felt like I was the most important person there. Their interaction with other patients was highly professional. There is no where in the region I would rather have an orthopedic surgery other than ROC. Thanks to everyone there! read more

Scheduled an appointment with Dr.Nikola Babovic weeks out for carpal tunnel pain. X-ray tech and experience was great. For the actual appointment, they sent in a PA instead - so I didn't even get to see the doctor I was scheduled with. While she was bubbly, she was also very rude and unhelpful with her advice. Looked at me stupid and giggled when I talked to her about advice and exercises my PT and chiropractor recommended. She was not knowledgable with recommendations or her answers to questions - I got a lot of "I don't know"s. And she was extremely rushed - the appointment was probably 5 minutes. read more

Horrible, horrible service. I saw Dr. Sing at ROC for lower back pain, and he referred me to 3 other doctors and physical therapy for treatment. NONE of the referrals were received by the secondary doctors, and I had no follow-up treatment. I could not contact Dr. Sing or his secretary, though I left dozens of messages on their phone. ROC uses AI when you call, NOT A REAL PERSON!!! Disgusting service!! I finally went elsewhere for treatment. read more

This facility accepted my insurance and collected a $35 copay, yet later informed me they could not provide the required X-ray because my employer was "not in network." If the facility was unable to treat me, my insurance and payment should not have been accepted. This experience raises concerns about the center's transparency and reliability. I requested a refund on 11-26-2025 and was told it would take seven business days to process, despite payment being taken immediately. I would not return and cannot recommend this facility. read more

It's been a couple of years since I had physical therapy but I'm back for my left hip pain and back problems. Kind of like car maintenance, you have to tend to the body so it will get you from point A to point B. Daemin is my new therapist and a good one at that. Started on my home exercise program and it felt good to get moving again. Excited about doing these home exercises every other day and going to physical therapy once a week. Busy on a weekday, Place is clean and organized and located on Wedge in South Reno. A hop, skip, and a jump (optimistically thinking, pun intended) from my home. Staff here are awesome, professional, and full of knowledge on getting you back on the road to recovery! read more

Both my wife and myself have had many, many joint replacements, fusions and other surgeries at ROC, but we will never go back! Absolutely everyone in the place is cold, unhelpful, rude and nasty, with the exception of an X-ray tech. I simply don't trust them at all. The last visit sealed the deal, if there was no other option I would choose to suffer alone at home! read more

I have had two hip replacements with Dr. Jackson Jones, and both times it was amazing. The new ROC clinic is beautiful and tastefully decorated. With big picture windows and comfortable seating, waiting does not seem to take too long. My 81 year old mom recently had to have her second hip replaced with Jackson Jones and she was lucky enough to have it done at their surgery center. She checked in at 6 in the morning and was home by 1 pm. It seemed so much easier than going to the hospital. The nursing staff was so attentive and kind with my mom, and made her feel like a rockstar. On another note, my daughter had to have knee surgery (to fix a surgery that was not done well by another clinic's doctor), and she saw Dr. Kalisvardt. He was so attentive and explained the surgery and aftercare so completely that we both felt at ease about doing the surgery. He never talked down to us as if we wouldn't understand, and he did a bang up job on the knee. She is finally out of pain after 3 years. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else when you are in need of orthopedic care. read more

While this facility is big bright clean and modern, and most of the people were sweet and helpful, I saw a PA for my broken ankle who was impatient, condescending, dismissive of my concerns, and gaslit me, saying there was less damage than there really was. She made it clear that she thought I was a whiny wimp by coming there with my broken ankle, or asking for pain medication. She refused to use laymans terms and was very annoyed when i asked her to repeat the barrage of information. I'm sorry to have to leave this review as I'm sure there are many good physicians there. Don't let this color your expectations if you are not seeing a PA whose last name starts with C. read more

The doctors here provide low quality care. The medical assistants are far more thorough in their explanations and show more compassion than the doctors themselves. The doctors will ask for follow up appointments just so they can try to get more money from your insurance. At each follow up they say the exact same thing and try to push their surgery and get more money from you. They have massage chairs in each patient room, probably to compensate for the lack of service. After being ordered an MRI, the doctor hesitated to show it to me, insinuating that there is no reason why I would need to see it as I am not a doctor. Once i basically forced them to show me the MRI I was rushed through the photos as well as the appointment itself. I dont feel as if they even care about my lower back pain, and that they only care to pressure you into their surgery. As soon as you tell the doctor you want to keep going through a more conservative approach (physical therapy), they impatiently want to end the appointment with them and rush you out and tell you to schedule another follow up to see if they can try convincing you of surgery in several weeks. read more

Here today for my first physical therapy session after having major shoulder surgery. To say I was a little nervous would be an understatement, since I'm only 2 weeks post op. Josh was my PT Therapist and he was great! He was very patient with me and helped me get thru my session with confidence. The place was large with lots of great equipment. The place was pretty full, but all the therapist worked together great to get everyone thru. I definitely recommend ROC physical therapy to anyone and everyone. read more

First time going here in several years so I was surprised they are in a different building now. The check in process is different because of the virus but it went very smoothly. You wait in your car until they are ready for you inside. However, once in the office I was surprised that there was no glass separating us from the check in staff. I also found the check in associate less than friendly, asking personal health questions from a few feet away demonstrated a lack of privacy. They no longer give you a clip board to use to fill out the form so you have to stand above 2 ft away from them while filling it out. The doctor and her MA were very nice and professional. I was in and out in under an hour, even with X-rays, so that was also a plus. Hoping Dr Weldon can provide answers and solution to my problem. read more
