When I call they say "oh we will call you back there is no updates." But the man who called me to get me in a bundle made sure to calle to purchase it and never delivered it . Probably the worst customer service experience I've ever experienced. Getting approved and picking out the furniture was a snap but from there on out, total nightmare. The rental agreement had the wrong delivery address. They insisted that I start making payments before I had ever even seen the stuff. They didn't show up on the first delivery date and never called. On the second delivery date (today) they are currently 3 hours late with no word. I asked for evening delivery and they scheduled me both times for midday so I had to have someone wait there for them, only to have them no-show or be hours late. I rented from this place avoid at all cost. The rental was 2 days late lucky was not needed right away. They informed us it would be there between 3-6 it took till 7:00 before they showed up. Keeping me hostage for 4 hours. Now when it was time to return this company knows nothing about there delivery service it is subbed out. I reached out to them all week to try to schedule before I left out of town. There anwser was we don't know we need to wait for our delivery company to tell us. Also when confronting manager about this situation Alex said he did not want to talk about this and proceeded to end the call. Wish I could put no or negative stars for this service. I recently ordered a refrigerator, a washer and dryer from this company for our new house in Anaheim. Their delivery was very slow so after 3 days without the appliances. They finally showed up very late in the evening and were going to drop the appliances off on my driveway! Thankfully I had some people helping me so wasn't alone with my infant baby. Unfortunately, one of my volunteers was offended they were dropping them off in the driveway and was rude. At which time they decided to reload the items into their truck, and left, refusing to deliver these items at all. I would NEVER recommend this company. read more

This must be the worse rent a center ever. Horrible customer service skills for everyone in that location. They took our money and never delivered the product. The day they were to deliver the product they gave us a 4 to 6 window at 6 we called the manager on duty stated it would be delivered by 830 at 830 we called and they said people called out sick and they couldn't deliver didnt they know this in the morning. Not once did they call us we called at 600 and 830 to find out they wouldn't deliver that day. The next day we called and stated they would have to deliver after 7 pm since we took time off from work the previous day and they never came that's called customer service. Edith stated we close at 7 we cant deliver after 7 but yet your manager stated the day before the product would be there by 830pm hmmm. We were very upset at the customer service and Edith did not want to deal with us because we were mad and said we arent going to service you and will refund your money. Here we are 2 weeks later and no refund now they state because its past 7 days of the order they can not refund the money. The corporate office is no assistance it's a joke and the GM supposedly called us but there is no message from him. This location is a complete joke. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION!!!!!!! I rented a queen bed from for my Fiance and I. Raul rented us the bed and gave us a great deal! From then on I had nothing but trouble with the sale representatives. They call you constantly on your pay date even when the days not over and if you tell them you cannot make the pay date they still badger you on making the payment. I've talked to over 6 sales representatives explaining to them I get paid every 15th and last day of the month and they still call and harass my workplace. The last guy I talked to was helpful after I told him I got a promotion and I get paid commission now. My beds almost paid off (2 months left) and he worked with me and I promised to pay and I did. Now the new manager calls me and gives me attitude talks to me condescendingly tells me I HAVE to pay the bed off if I get paid commission and doesn't want to work with me like the rest of his employees. After I told him 3 times I will pay the full month on the 30th of this month he still tells me to pay off the bed. Then claims they have no record of anyone ever talking to me but I have countless PHONE RECORDS of talking to them. I've worked in customer service for over 7 years and this is NO WAY to treat a customer. I agree with the other posts they make you feel uncomfortable and they offer nothing but harassment. Rent-A-Center as a company is a great resource for people who are struggling with credit issues or starting over and need basic home furnishings. It sucks that they are being very poorly represented at the Euclid & Katella branch. It is always very uncomfortable dealing with the staff whether in person or on the phone- you can't help but feel like you are dealing with a room full of criminals. As soon as my contract is complete I will never use this particular branch again. Rent-A-Center I recently had the opportunity to do short term business with your St.College & Lincoln branch and they provided me with excellent customer care... After my old fridge that I had dying I sought out rent a center to replace it and was connected and from this specific rent a center location. and discussed regarding a refrigerator for which I placed an order for and paid upfront to have delivered. prior to delivery of my refrigerator from rent a center I was contacted directly by edith an employee from this specific location explaining that the refrigerator I would be a Whirlpool 14 cu ft refrigerator that was missing one of the crisper drawers and was offered a $100.00 and Upon delivery of the refrigerator for which I placed an order for and paid upfront to have delivered, the employees that delivered the refrigerator were rather extremely rough with getting the refrigerator up the stairs to my second floor corner unit apartment and after signing for the delivery the gentleman who delivered just left me with the Whirlpool fridge and my old fridge without even bothering with assistance of setting up my refrigerator from rent a center for which I placed an order for and paid upfront to have delivered or even assist with the removal of my old refrigerator, ultimately resulting in myself having not just to set up and situate my my refrigerator from rent a center for which I placed an order for and paid upfront to have delivered but as well handle the removal of my old non functional refrigerator as well. and it wasn't until today that there was additional measures that I found myself having to take as a direct result of the gentleman who delivered the refrigerator for which I placed an order for and paid upfront to have delivered with rent a center failure to assist myself with the set-up of myrefrigerator for which I placed an order for and paid upfront to have delivered with rent a center that resulted in a massive spilling of a pitcher of kool aid all over my kitchen floor near this refrigerator. Such a bad and uncomfortable experience with Rent-a-Center on Katella, in Anaheim, CA. There is a lack of communication amongst the staff. It is simply nothing but harassment. The staff call you the day before your payment s due, the staff call you several annoying times the day your payment is due And even if you have notified staff to let them know your payment will be late, they keep calling you until the payment is due. I had been with the company for over 10 years. I had gotten and PAID OFF several items. But despite all of that I still feel like I was harassed. Such a terrible place to rent from. They call and Harrass you about your payments every week, all the workers are very rude. I had bought a mattress from them , payed it off and just a few days after paying it off I noticed a really bad tear on the bottom of my mattress. No way it was from me, they are the ones that delivered it, set it up , and unpacked it. Called them to let them know, story short they aren't going to do a damn thing about. Spoke with the store manager, said he couldn't help me, he was a real asshole who knew not a damn thing. Finally after arguing with them they sent a few guys out to my house to take pictures of the tears, said I would get a cal back so a guy could come latch it up. Still haven't received a call back ( it's over two weeks now ) when I did call they said they were waiting for the repair guy to get to the store and they would call me which is a load of shit. This is the worst of all business! I went in for a refrigerator, first they wanted to give me a used item when we clearly wanted a new one! Weeks went by and no call lo nothing - wow of a customer service! After I reached back to clarify the situated gave me stories of how they were trying to get one for other store! Then they gave me the option of a customer order when this was not mentioned at the beginning! Not to mention after the contract was signed and i asked for a Estimated delivery date! All they gave me was 5-8 business days! No date no nothing! Every time I try getting information they never give me a strait answer! This is unfortunately my 1st and will be the last time I ever do business with them! We decided to use them because we were refer here! By far the worst decision i have ever made. Spend your money anywhere but here. Management is non existent, the employees dont even know how the payments are paid toward principal or interest and they have blatant disregard for the customer. I requested a call from a manager (which dont exist in any of the stores i was told by thomas) and i never spoke to a manager even after more than five requests.
