Unfortunately, we given only a brief demonstration of how the wheelchair operated, with no written instructions, manual, or supporting paperwork provided. There was also no assistance offered in getting the equipment to the car. During pickup, my husband overheard staff mention that the unit could be difficult to charge, which raised concerns. When we attempted to use the wheelchair during our trip, it powered on, light flashing but would not move at all. By that point, we were too far away to return to the store, and without any instructions, we were left trying to troubleshoot on our own. Most concerning was the response when my elderly parents called to report the issue-- they were met with a dismissive and defensive tone rather than empathy or a willingness to help. The interaction was particularly upsetting given their age and the circumstances. After returning the wheelchair, no resolution or follow-up was offered, despite being told the owner would call to discuss our concerns. That never happened. We have rented medical equipment across the country for many trips and have never encountered such a lack of support, professionalism, or basic customer care. This experience was both frustrating and disappointing, and we DO NOT recommend this business.

I contacted Mozena Medical for repairs on my aging Hoyer lift, which had an oil leak. From the…read morestart, I felt the process was oriented toward getting me to replace my equipment rather than repair it -- despite my repeated insistence that it likely just needed oil. They did complete the actual repair, but left the job unfinished: the oil was never refilled and the bolts were never re-tightened. Multiple parts of the lift were loose and unstable when they handed it back to me. I raised this concern several times while they were still engaged, and was dismissed each time. Their solution was to apply my $850 toward a new machine -- which would have cost me an additional $500 out of pocket. Ultimately, a handyman friend tightened the bolts and refilled the jack oil. The lift worked perfectly after that. Two simple steps that should have been part of any competent service call. What concerns me most is the safety implication. This is a lift that raises a person into the air. Had I used it with loose bolts before my friend intervened, I could have fallen and been seriously injured. When I kept telling them something wasn't right, the response was indifference. That's a troubling attitude for a company working with disabled and medically vulnerable clients. The underlying repair may well have been sound -- but an incomplete job isn't a finished job. I wanted to be able to rely on them for future service, and I genuinely can't recommend them based on this experience.

They also gave us a sample of a CBD Balm, and said it will immediately take the pain away from my wife's arthritis in her knee - with a comment that "I know you will be back to buy the product because it has worked for everyone that I've done this with". They were right! The pain goes away immediately, and we have probably recommended this product to at least 10 to 15 other people who suffer pain from arthritis. What impressed me the most also, was the attitude of their customers coming into the store to buy something. Most of them seem to be repeat customers. I've also ran into friends that know the store, and say it's the best store for product, service and value. Everybody there is very professional, they know their products, and the service is way above any five star rating I could possibly give. He said the only way it could have broke in this manner was dropping it I had taken it on a trip and apparently the airline dropped it. I didn't report it right away, so I just paid out of pocket. Next trip, I will check immediately and file a claim if it breaks again. I heard this happens often with the Airlines. It didn't take long for the part to come in and the Scooter to be repaired. So now I'm out and about on my scooter, causing trouble. Whenever I need any supplies, I'll definitely go to Alpine. I give them a five star rating!

I have researched places extensively and finally found a place that is local (OC places charged more to get to us). Many arent open on weekends, others charge by the hour plus mileage on top of a round trip rate and yet others are for medical transport only. Insurance transport requires 24 hour notice for wheelchair with a time limit for "essential" errands (gym,market) which aren't where we want to go! With United, I drove the van and we could take our time for church, visiting friends, and lunch. I rented twice and both times the vans were new and easy to drive. My mom did not feel every bump in the road and the ramp lit up at night which was helpful. Ask for Lisa Montanez. She is amazing and came in early Sunday morning so I could take my mom to church and out for the day, instead of renting for the entire weekend (closed SatSun and normally you have to rent Fri-Mon). I am recommending this place to all my friends and now I can get my mom out every month. I hope this review helps save someone hours of research and calls and caregivers guilt. PS. There was even room in the back to take her portable potty with us for Easter dinner at my family's house.
