From the…read morestart, I felt the process was oriented toward getting me to replace my equipment rather than repair it -- despite my repeated insistence that it likely just needed oil. They did complete the actual repair, but left the job unfinished: the oil was never refilled and the bolts were never re-tightened. Multiple parts of the lift were loose and unstable when they handed it back to me. I raised this concern several times while they were still engaged, and was dismissed each time. Their solution was to apply my $850 toward a new machine -- which would have cost me an additional $500 out of pocket. Ultimately, a handyman friend tightened the bolts and refilled the jack oil. The lift worked perfectly after that. Two simple steps that should have been part of any competent service call. What concerns me most is the safety implication. This is a lift that raises a person into the air. Had I used it with loose bolts before my friend intervened, I could have fallen and been seriously injured. When I kept telling them something wasn't right, the response was indifference. That's a troubling attitude for a company working with disabled and medically vulnerable clients. The underlying repair may well have been sound -- but an incomplete job isn't a finished job. I wanted to be able to rely on them for future service, and I genuinely can't recommend them based on this experience.

And, you actually get to talk to a live person. They will also deliver if needed. Who does that anymore except for those that truly value their customers. Unfortunately, I have to take a lot of medications now. I don't know why I didn't do this before, but after the help I received today I am transferring all my prescription needs (and my wife's) to this pharmacy. My family has done business with Alpine for years. Their service has been superb without exception. I can't say that about any of the other medical supply companies we have had to use. Years ago Rick Sr came to my mother's home to set up a piece of equipment. He was patient, personable and kind and stayed until she felt completely comfortable. I have had frequent need to visit the Alpine store in recent years. Rick Jr has set the same kind, helpful tone in their store as his father demonstrated in my mother's home. He knows his products and his customer base. When a person is surrounded by pain, illness and aging, that service and humanity can be the bright spot in a day. PS Prices are on par with other stores; they are well-stocked with essentials; and even the billing staff is helpful and pleasant. read more
