We went there to celebrate my son's birthday January 2022. The place was basically empty. The menu was completely different then what was online which was very disappointing. The food took a very long time to come out and the kitchen closed before we could get dessert. Food was ok. Pretzel was the best part. I've been coming to this site since 1988, when it was BK Sweeney's. I live right down the street and walk. Tonight, the meal was the worst ever experienced. Fish and Chips, the fish was super oily, and the fries were cold. Ultimately, I sent back the meal (I've never sent back a meal), and they offered to discount the bill by one entrée. Needless to say, after more than 30 years, I won't be walking down to Repeal for brunch anytime soon. read more

Very positive experience, went there very late with my girlfriend and we were the only people there. Really appreciated how nice the staff was never the less. The drinks were excellent and overall really appreciated how they went out of their way to take care of us rather than kick us out as they were about to close. read more

Was in area and got shut out at Revel in GC so was looking for a Cocktail oriented place and this came up on Yelp search. Not at all Cocktail focused however the food was a wonderful surprise. I had lunch with my family at Repeal last weekend and it was awful. My mom asked for a well done burger that came out rare. It was a relatively slow, quiet afternoon at the restaurant, but we waited 10 mins to see the waiter again to send back the burger. Then we waited another 20 minutes for the well done burger we asked for. My mom sat there, hungry, while we all ate and finished our meals. We then all sat there for 15 minutes while my poor mom ate alone. The waiter offered no reparations, just said "sorry". I insisted he take the burger off the bill, but he refused, saying he could take 10% off the burger. We were a group of 7 and we worked up a sizable bill on a slow business day for the restaurant. And this is how they treated us. To boot, the burger wasn't even good! It was tasteless and bland. This was a terrible family lunch. Bad food, worse service. Never again! read more

Repeal has pretty good food! Went here on a Friday with a friend because we saw they had a patio. Seemed to be an older crowd with a mix of families in the restaurant and at the bar. The patio was way smaller than we expected and in the parking lot. However, it was nice to be outside and they had cute bistro lights. We had pretzel and fried avocado apps which were both great and split a short rib grilled cheese that was also yummy. Good beer and drink selection. Food was great, I like that they had other options on the menu that their other locations in Long Beach Speakeasy doesn't have. The grilled calamari was very tender & had an unexpected kick! The nachos were excellent but guacamole and sour cream weren't stated on the menu BUT VERY HAPPY IT WAS INCLUDED!! I got the braised short ribs. Cooked to perfection the mashed potatoes and carrots were delicious. Alyssa was an amazing waitress. Very accommodating and even though it was packed never missed a beat. She offered a lot of insight on the menu and gave us her favorites as well. All around great first night here. Loved the music provided by Ryan Maroney. In 9 months I've had both a surprise 30th birthday party and Baptism at Repeal, and in both occurances my expectations were far exceeded. The food was fabulous (especially the pretzel, steak, penne ala vodka, and bloody Mary's), and the service was outstanding (both Tommy the bartender and Sara the waitress). This is a cute spot me and my friend came accross on our way to a local wing joint in the area. We felt adventerous and decided hey almost the new year lets try something new. The place does have parking in thr back as well as a back enterance which is a plus in this blistering cold. When you walk in on your left side is a place for dinning with huge booths and on the side you have tables. Sectioned off on the right side is the bar, its like a mini cabin. Both sides were different but they complemented each other. We were greeted by a hostess and placed to our seats. The waiter was extremely nice and sweet. They offer bar food, very traditional american bar. Upon sitting we gor some complimentary popcorn, which was delicious. We decided to get the wings and the nachos. The wings you can tell were home made and not from the freezer on the look of it. The food was okay, it was typical bar food taste, nothing special. However, I will probably go again because it is a new spot, the atmosphere was amazing and you can tell that this place has room to improve being freshinly born. read more

This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Walked in and there was only three tables sat, two tables of two and one party of 8. We ordered wings and a meal between the two of us. We waited 40 minutes for our appetizer that came out at the same time as our meal. The manager offered 50% off the appetizer that was not eaten and refused to come to the table. She was very rude and disrespectful. Mind you, the hostess was running the food to the table and apologizing for how long our wait was. I will not return to this establishment. read more

So I found this place on Yelp looking for a new place to go for my brithday. My friends and I ate here last night for my birthday dinner and I have to say almost everything we ate was delicious! French onion soup very good! I have to say My favorites to eat were the braised short rib grilled cheese OMG so good but I got it with mushrooms on it instead of sauteed onions, me and my friend shared it and LOVED it, and when I brought it home my cousins was over and ate my left overs and she is not even a big fan of short ribs and she loved it! French dip sandwich pretty good too! There sweet potato fries Delicious!! Also the Mashed potatoes soo good and I'm not normally a fan of mashed potatoes out. The only thing I think they could improve on is the dessert menu, there isn't a paper one just verbal and I didn't find really anything appealing on it, the only think that was good was the caramel pretzel brownie thing, tasted delicious but we wanted to order more than one but they ran out of ice cream and only had enough ice cream for one order. Things happen I get it, just really wish they had the ice cream to go with it. Other then that cute little delish place to eat! We stopped by here after doing some shopping, as it's close by to where we live. My wife looked at the menu and was like "This reminds me of Speakeasy in Long Beach!", and sure enough, it's the same owner. The food was delicious, service was great, and the ambiance/atmosphere was terrific. It's only been opened (or, re-opened) since August but we wish you guys the best of luck! The chicken cutlet sandwich w/burrata and arugula was dynamite, and the hand-cut fries were great. The only suggestion I'd make is to have a bit more of a robust rotation of seasonal beers on tap and via bottle. But otherwise, keep up the great work! read more

Really not sure why this spot hasn't worked out. This team came in with the new brand after changing over for the 4th time since I've lived in the area. The look and feel is the same. Beer on tap is fresh. Menu is classic pub fare. Most original pretzel app I've ever seen - huge, hung on a little hook like on display in a window. Service was a bit slow. A bloody Mary ordered should have come with shrimp on the side. My chicken cutlet sandwich was tasty, though it came with cheese which was the size of a potato chip. Sauteed broccoli was great. My wife's appetizer and entree came at the same time unfortunately. Many TV's with decent sight lines. read more
