Our crawl space was an absolute mess and our ductwork was gnawed through left and right. Likely decades of neglect from previous owners lead to a nightmarish condition of all sorts of disgustingness. This job would need everything gutted, cleaned, new insallation, new ductwork, exclusion work, lined, and of course all the disposal. From the start with the onsite estimate to the commissioning of the work Gil was a consummate professional. Detailed, thorough, respectful, and honest. His crew made short order of a pretty daunting task. I crawled through and inspected the work myself and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed! The space is clean to the point where I'm no longer hesitant to go under myself. The new ductwork is much more efficient and the house heats up so quickly now! I rent and needed to get the HVAC Ducts replaced after trying to hire someone to clean the ducts. The duct cleaners told me that ducts were encased in asbestos. Contacted the property manager, and let her know I'd like to get it replaced and she said to see how much it cost. I got 6 quotes, and Green Crew Construction came in as the most affordable. He in addition to the others were able to confirm that the ducts had asbestos. He coordinated the asbestos removal and payment with the property manager without needing to involve me except where he had difficulty in getting in contact. He'd follow up with me if things changed or if there were problems. When it came to the actual work, and this is common in construction, there were unknown conditions (additional ducts) that were not counted. This includes estimates and inspections from the five other companies that didn't notice the two other ducts, so it wasn't just him. My family and I didn't even know they existed. He still did the work for the same price. That is amazing, and this for the contractor that was already the most affordable. On top of that, there was an issue with my thermostat which wasn't even part of his scope of work or even his specialty. He contacted a friend to help him diagnose the problem. Came back later in the week (mind you, he's traveling from 45+ minutes away), tries to see if he can fix it, fixes it, all at no additional cost. This is someone who cares about the service he provides and that his company is well thought of. Nothing but respect for the man. read more

I used Gil and G squared for an hvac installation a little more than 6 months ago for a new furnace replacement. I decided it was time to service my unit and clean out the filtration system since we're home all day because of covid-19 and we want to make sure the air quality is good. As per usual, Gil arrived on time and always cheerful and happy to explain everything that was being done. He cleaned out our electronic air cleaner and cleaned our condenser at no extra charge, even though he had only installed the furnace. Gil and his crew arrived at 7:55 am and were at the door by 8am. They encapsulated everything, making sure no dust would go into my living space while they were working in my attic and under my house. This was really important for me since I'm an asthmatic. They began removing all my contaminated(rodent droppings) insulation in my attic and crawlspace and we're done with the clean up by 1pm. After that they began sealing up all the entry points from rodents and sanitizing my attic and crawlspace. By 4:00 they finished the installation of the new insulation. Was really a breath of fresh air having Gil there throughout the whole project since very rarely the person who does the estimate is at the project also. We didn't engage G Squared to do our remediation. However, we had Gil out for an initial inspection and estimate. After assessing the attic, Gil recommended that we forgo cleanup and remediation as we didn't appear to have an active infestation. I appreciated the candor. Circumstances changed shortly thereafter and we asked Gil for a formal estimate. We again took the time to open our home to him; he completed a second inspection of the attic and concluded that it would not be physically possible to do a full cleanup due to the physical dimensions of the space. It was disappointing to block off time for a follow-up visit only to be told the work was physically impossible. In addition to Gil having previously seen the space, I had personally crawled throughout the entire attic to pull wires. While that attic is tight, it certainly wasn't an impossible job. Luckily, we had five other licensed companies out and each was able and willing to do the work that G Squared could not. It's a free market, so I have no qualms with being told someone doesn't want my job. However, it felt disingenuous to ask for a second inspection and then offer minimal spot cleaning. read more
